Plaza Pista Llarga, 1, La Molina-Alp, Catalonia, Spain
"Our 4th year at HG La Molina and this year was really faultless. We didn't bother to write a review last year or the year before because in all honesty, both years were really disappointing in comparison to our first year. So with this in mind, we (girls trip... grandmother, daughter and granddaughter) travelled up the mountain from Barcelona with a level of nervousness. However on arrival the receptionist who had been a little... unwelcome .. last year, was perfectly nice and friendly, the room was by far the best one we've had to date and was super clean, the breakfast was full to bursting with such nice staff and even the coffee was a massive improvement!! The bed linen is extremely nice and the beds are super comfortable. All the reception staff were delightful. The appalling sewerage smell that has lingered on the ground floor for years - was totally absent, the spa was wonderful and we have had a perfect break. This is such a great location for a hotel and we are so so pleased that they have really upped their game and we have returned really excited for next year. Can't recommend highly enough."
"Excellent hotel for hiking/mountainbike/cycling and downhill during the summer months. Ideal base for discovery of this lovely region. Very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere and a very good and diverse menu, also a lot of choice concerning breakfast."
"Third visit. Fantastic staff, enviable position for ski resort. Wonderful views, hard to find fault. Visit the other ski lifts to see the full area. Ate in The hotel for lovely food. Gods facilities and ideal for families even with a non Skier. "

Camí del Remei, 3, Bolvir, Catalonia, Spain
"When my husband asked me what I wanted to do for a rather sugnificant birthday, I did not hesitate - “dinner and an ivernight stay at the Torre del Remei please!”. As soon as you drive into the grounds of this spectacular, yet homely, hotel, you are transported to a different, more gentle, time. The grounds as you enter are dominated by sequoias which are old, elegant and dramatic. Then there are more gentle parts like the fruit orchard and pond. The pool sparkles and the birds and insects provide entertainment all day long. The rooms are Modernist in style - in keeping with how the wealthy industrialust, who built the Torre for his wife, designed it. Ours was calm, spacious, light and airy, with a luxurious bathroom and views to die for. We had a long, leisurely dinner, cared for by the attentive, caring staff. Everything was perfect! We needed to go for a walk after dinner (!) and again in the morning so that we could do justice to the most perfect breakfast which is offered to guests at the hotel. There was fresh, thick youghurt, juices of mango and coconut, a bread basket, Catalan “embotits” and delicious scrambled eggs with caviar. This hotel is a real gem. Stay for a weekend, ir book the whole place for a party - we might just do that!"
"We had the luxury of staying at Torre Del Remei in late May of this year, and we can't say enough good things about our experience. - The staff were incredibly gracious and helpful for everything from unloading our car, parking it (even kind enough to guide us to a spot where no pine sap would fall from a beautiful tree we saw), setting up our room, and giving a tour of the whole restored chateau. - The chateau itself is stunning; be sure to venture all the way to the steeple to have a 360 view of the property and surrounding countryside. - The property is superbly maintained, and we had a wonderful, relaxing walk through the grounds the morning we left. - Our room was massive, with a very well appointed shower/bath, relaxing space to read and dress, and an incredibly comfortable bed. It was also quite private as all rooms are well separate from the others. - The restaurant, where we had dinner and breakfast, was simply to die for - a separate review to be posted about it. Monsieur Boix and his staff could not have been more wonderful to us. If you are ever in this stretch of Catalonia, splurge to stay."
"Akthough the decoration of the place is a little bit old fashioned, the place is really nice and the food is excellent. With a reasonable price taking into account the place that we are talking about everything was fantastic, service very kind ( a little bit slow) but everything was delicious. Try the "lenguado con tofona i escamarlans" it's delicious! and the pear cake!"

Avenida Pons i Gash, 15, Puigcerda, Catalonia, Spain
"We had a lovely stay at Villa Paulita with a big group of friends. The rooms were comfortable and characterful. The views and grounds were lovely. The price, whilst not cheap, was acceptable for the location (the centre of Puigcerda). The staff were wonderful and looked after us very well. Our only gripe was the restaurant, which is not part of the hotel, but is associated with it. The food tends to be a triumph of form over substance. We tried to get some canapes provided by them but we ended up doing it ourselves. The breakfasts were good (especially the eggs), but surely it is not too much to ask for tea pots and cups to be available for tea drinkers? We got the impression that they regarded themselves as a lot more important that their cuisine would warrant. We would certainly return to Villa Paulita!"
"We stayed at Paulita for 2 nights as a group of 20. We ate at the hotel noth nights. The hotel location is great next to the lake. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Food is good but I would recommend dining in the old town which has more interesting if less 'safe' options if traveling in a smaller group. The amenities are great, location is great, staff are helpful, rooms comfortable. Prices are reasonable. Cycle friendly hotel."
"I stayed for two nights at this hotel with a larger group. The first room I was in was 23 and was up in the attic of the house. The rom was quite cramped but had character with the wood beams. By the second day the AC was malfunctioning and caused a flood in my room. I was moved to a larger room in the annex which had a large tub plus shower. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. The breakfast buffet was poorly provisioned with eggs and non carb foods running out frequently. The sole server in the morning was surly at best. Perhaps she is in the wrong industry?"

Camí de Sant Marc, s/n, Puigcerda, Catalonia, Spain
"Mas Sant Marc may be one of the most charming properties I've ever stayed in. The attention to detail in the recent renovation of the historic structures is like something right out of Architectural Digest. For a very reasonable price the visitor can live in great style in a Casa Rural that has easy access to several nearby ski resorts. We were lucky in that our winter visit included an enchantingly beautiful snowfall."
"we were staying for two days on a trip through the pyrenees. great rustical location, very friendly people, good food and the best breakfast outside between those old walls. not far from puigcerdá and in the middle of the beautiful cerdanya."
"The images of the suite room we booked do not correspond to the room they offered. I booked paying a higher price for the basic suite also available for a more spacious room with views on the 1st or 2nd floor as shown in the pictures shown in the booking process. We arrived at 2 AM and found no one to greet us. So for the time it was, we were tired and we had to accept the room we were assigned, which was number 1 on the ground floor, next to the building's stairs and very close to the street door. The ceiling is quite low and produces a feeling of sting. It seems as if it was an old room for other uses and which was later converted into a suite, not meeting the conditions for it. Excessive noise coming from the click of the wood of the stairs by the normal passage of the other guests, who circulate at all hours logically in the direction of the exit door or to their room. Excessive noise due to the lack of insulation with the room upstairs. Shower without screen that allows water to escape to the floor of the room by encircling an area of about 2 square meters. While showering, there is a lack of thermal insulation in the shower because there is no screen with which, you suffer cold. Water escapes below the partition that separates the shower from the toil without wetting the entire envelope of the dressing table and the floor, which, almost everything is soaked if you have showered previously. Honestly, the management of the owners is very poor due to the poor quality of the works and the measurements that were made, as well as the work of the interior designer, if any, who decided on the choice of the faucet. On the last day we were awakened at 7am in the morning by the continuous noise made by other guests walking with their baggage, hitting the stairs with the normal intention of leaving the house and to check out. When explaining what happened on the way out of the stay, the Manager who attended us took a stance of total surprise like if everything we explained to him as if no one had ever made before that comment on what happens when you live and make use of the facilities of that room. The quality / performance of the facilities in that room are very poor. After paying (2 nights at the end of February 2020: € 358'58) and listening to our bad experience, he offered to re-book us with a "significant discount" if we returned without mentioning the percentage of discount and he said that in a few days we would receive it by email. He kindly asked us not to be very hard on our opinions on the networks or booking pages, (which we have respected and we have not acted until we know the final outcome). After 3 weeks of not receiving any offer or detail, coincidentally in the midst of Coronavirus crisis where surely many reservations have been canceled, we receive an email with a 15% discount and 1 bottle of cava. In particular, it seems to us a trade-off that does not correspond to the textual words mentioned "sig"

Ripoll, 3, Age, Catalonia, Spain
"This is a beautiful conversion of an 18th century barn in the centre of this peaceful village. Bedrooms overlook the central courtyard and are on the small side for the price charged. Studio Apartments are in a house across the road and up 30+ stairs. Cooking equipment is basic (no sharp knife or cutting board) and views are sadly limited as the windows are Velux style. It is worth noting that there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance and during our stay the nearest was in Puigcerdà - 10 mins drive away."
"Positives - Our studio room was adequate. Immaculately clean, nice bathroom and big, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast staff. Nice breakfast, plenty to eat. Area surrounding apartment beautiful (rural). Close to the town of Puigcerda. Negatives - No contact with a person on arrival. Just a note written in Spanish which didn’t help us. No idea where to park until a guest with limited English told us of a locked compound nearby. Hubby not happy as our car was parked over long grass. Fire hazard. I booked this accommodation for its rural views (we love country settings),however our studio was over the road from the main building. No windows at all, just two large skylights. Very disappointing."
"Personnel are veri nice and friendly, also location is really good. One problem is that I believe I was mislead by the pictures. There is nothing to do on the hotel. Its just bed and breakfast. Also not a place to relax. Bed was small, too much light inside the room, so 6am was already impossible to sleep. A lot of noise. You can hear noises very loud from other rooms. Also (Not the hotel fault) but super anoying is that there is a church one block away that rings a fake bell (Speakers) EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES 24 hour a day, 7 days per week. Really terrible."

Avinguda Catalunya, 56, Llivia, Catalonia, Spain
"We stayed here for three nights on a half-board basis, and really enjoyed it. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with its own balcony. Breakfast was superb, with a wide choice of good quality bread, meat, cheese, etc. Evening meals also good, with a good choice of dishes that were well-cooked. Staff very friendly and helpful. The area itself is a great base for exploring the mountains and valleys. and Llivia is a lovely little town."

Carretera Nacional 260, km 179, Puigcerda, Catalonia, Spain
"Hotel is great to visit. Great staff and the pool etc are excellent. Views of the pyrenees (just above the pyrankles) are great from most rooms. Just outside puigcerdà so far enough away to be quiet but close enough to enjoy the town. Its 70s style hotel but that should not put anyone off. Its clean, well presented and a delight to spend time in. Also the internet is excellent and free. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less at other places. Also not being English I didn't miss the fact that there was no team making facilities. There is a fridge.. My advice is give the place a spin. It's great."
"the waiters are nice and friendly..the food is ok...i enjoyed. my vacation...i will back again...the hotel has plenty of paring...the room was clean and comfortable..the breakfast was quite good with many choise... ..."
"We were a party of 6 cyclists and support, staying here on the third night of our trip. Arriving very tired, we found it a most welcome place to arrive and the stay was trouble- free. Rooms were basic but clean; food was fine. Views of the mountains were good. Not a place for an extended stay but perfectly satisfactory for our purposes. No complaints."

Avenida Supermolina, 7, La Molina-Alp, Catalonia, Spain
"Just back from a wonderful stay at the cosy Solineu Hotel high up in the Catalonian Pyrenees. This is out second stay there and we couldn’t have been better looked after. Spacious rooms, great food, fantastic staff and - crucially - just a short walk from the La Molina ski resort and gondola. Highly recommended."
"We stayed here for 3 nights skiing at La Molina and Masella. The hotel is in a perfect location, parking very easy. We found all the staff to be really helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms were very comfortable and warm. We will be back again.....thank you"
"They are lying about the amount of mountain open to get the tourists to go. Ghost town, no locals as they know the snow conditions. If you see 40-60% of slopes open it's a total lie. We were told to go to Andorra by the ski professionals as it was "UNSAFE" as the rocks were showing. They are trying to salvage a bad ski season by ripping off tourists. Will never visit this town, hotel again or use hotels.com to book a hotel. On top of that at check in they put us in 2 single beds, what's this nonsense of pushing together 2 beds and calling it a king, what an amateur move for a hotel. Will make sure my social media followers for my travel pages are all aware of this hotel and how they conduct business. When I asked for a refund for the last 2 nights they told me I had to contact hotels.com, when I contacted hotels.com guess what they told me? Yes I had to contact the hotel. Bunch of liars very short sighted as they will lose much more business from the reviews I post on social media."
