Unique food, impeccable service! I attended a large dinner in the ballroom. The chandeliers and lighting in the room created a beautiful atmosphere. The servers were kind and attentive. Main course was a unique aubergine dish - something out of the ordinary - and it was wonderfully prepared. I’ve eaten at The Alice for dinner as well as tea, and now I know that banquets are as delicious as the restaurant.

The hotel has been remodel but keeps the old charm which is found in and around Oxford England. Our room was on the small size with great amenities and a photo of Lewis above our bed. The restaurant has quality breakfast and dinner and has a Alice in Wonderland theme. The front desk and door greeters were both professional and Knowledgeable about restaurants and sites in and around Oxford.

The service is very good. The service at breakfast and evening bar is very good, and the price is very good. It is very interesting to meet many grandparents during Christmas. The location and view of the hotel are also great for my liking. We stayed for two nights before going to other cities, but we plan to come back in a week and will continue to choose this hotel. Breakfast has just the right variety, not wasted but great. Very quiet, compact and comfortable. The bedding was very good. I had a good sleep both nights.

We stayed just one night to meet family members for dinner in Oxford. It is very well located for the city cetre. Despite that, it is in a quiet location and we had a good night's rest in a small but comfortable room. It lacks the range of facilites that you may want for a long stay. For example, it has no lounge, restaurant or lifts, which is the only reason I could not give 5 /5 for facilites. What facitlities is does have are good: in room tea and coffee making, television, radio and WiFi. Staff are friendly and helpful. We came by car and used the Park and Ride system, which is excellent. Oxford bus services are good. The hotel is also only a short taxi ride from the station if you go by train. The hotel was ideal for a short stay and we will use it again.

Arrive in Oxford on a cold and cold afternoon, because the previously booked townhouse is particularly unreliable and temporarily changed to this one. When I enter the hotel in the rain, I feel the atmosphere of the home. The reception is not big but it is like a family living room. Special thanks to the beautiful Sophia receptionist at the reception desk, we carefully arranged for the temporary booking. The hotel is on the school campus, and although it is raining, you can walk to most of the attractions. The room has a wall-mounted heater, hot chocolate and tea, which is especially warm and comfortable. Full score!

During the summer vacation, the prices are favorable, the rooms are all of the same standard size, and the prices vary depending on the view. Clean and hygienic, not big, but practical. I saw that the price in September is quite expensive, costing 3K. It is very close to the Westgate Shopping Center in Oxford and is very convenient for all kinds of food. It is also very convenient to reach various colleges in Oxford within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. In addition to the various delicacies on display, you can also ask the waiter for some freshly made omelet egg rolls, which taste better than Hilton hotels. Produced by Marriott, the quality is assured.

The only suite in the hotel can no longer be picky. Although the facilities are simple, there is a big gap when you first check in. The breakfast is simple and dark, but the location is excellent, and you can walk everywhere. After dinner, you walk back and find that the suite is just the picture. This single little house in the picture is quite cute🤭

On a recent visit to Oxford I decided to stay in one of the prison cells at the Malmaison Oxford which was a former prison. It was a great decision as the rooms were indeed cells and still have the steel doors and brick walls to prove it. Everything else is completely modern with a large bathroom and nice working area. The location in what is actually part of Oxford Castle is within easy walking distance of most of Oxford's main attractions including the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Library and the principal colleges as well as the Westgate Mall. The hotel has a lot of nice modern art, much of it with a prison motif, albeit tongue-in-cheek. The staff is young and friendly and the clientele is quite mixed. I saw a Ford Focus parked beside a Ferrari. The dining room and bar are quite small at first glance until you realize there are many side rooms into what were once cells. The full English breakfast was great, but for dinner we went to some of the nearby pubs and the small Italian restaurant Prezzo which literally right next door. My only complaint was that the internet in the rooms is spotty, no doubt because of the thick walls and steel doors. But it works fine everywhere else. This is a luxury hotel, but the prices were definitely quite reasonable for the experience offered.

I was recommended to come to this place and it was the best decision ever!! Place was lovely and food was more than great!! I came with my mum and a friend and my mother was the whole dinner saying that the food was more than great!! Which I’m really happy to make that decision. Also just to mention how great and helpful was Alfonso with his recommendations and his knowledge about the plates and allergies and how Kasam was making amazing cocktails that he also choose for us. I will come again for sure!!

Amazing find just beautiful! We came for the night as a little family hen do. My mum, sister and niece came Saturday afternoon and stayed till Sunday. EVERYONE was so welcoming helpful and polite. Our rooms were amazing with everything you needed. We had a balcony overlooking the grounds to the the river Thames. Nice and clean with really comfy beds. We used the pool and steam room Saturday afternoon unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working and had been drained but didn’t stop us relaxing. Our dinner Saturday night in Napiers was delicious! Our waitress Abby was polite, chatty and lovely to chat to. She was really helpful. Breakfast was awesome! And great that you could take a coffee away with you in the disposable cups provided. My niece wants to make it a regular trip!! Highly recommend

Stayed here for 2 nights for my cousins wedding. Fantastic large ground floor room with very comfortable beds which allowed us to leave car right outside for easy loading when we left. All the staff were very polite & friendly throughout the staff. Visited the pool & sauna which was a nice addition. Breakfast both days was great- sat down quickly & good selection. Wedding itself was fantastic- what an amazing location next to the Thames however chairs were slightly damp- need a cover putting on them if heavy dew or slightly wet as guests sit down! Meal & buffet later were outstanding. 5/6 mins from large Sainsburys if you forgot any essentials. Highly recommended & very enjoyable stay.

The Location of the hotel is perfect for sight seeing and exploring Oxford you can easily get to most of the main attractions in less then a 5 mins walk. We stayed for 2 nights and only opted for the breakfast once personally I wouldn’t bother it was bad. Head to the covered market instead

Very nice central location, comfortable room, hotel is uniquely modified older set of buildings, friendly staff. Air conditioning a little ineffective, but was able to open the window for an evening breeze.

Room was lovely, comfy bed and very spacious. Breakfast was 10/10 with lots of options. This was a trip for my partners birthday and we arrived to balloons and a treat in the room which was a lovely touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Stayed in the shepherds hut for our anniversary and had an absolutely lovely time. It was perfect for autumn, winter snug (in a good way) well furnished and with a log fire. I imagine it would be lovely in summer too as it opens on to the garden. The staff could not have been nicer, Sorin, Gavin and the lovely lady that did housekeeping (didn't catch her name) made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Before we even got there they were super prompt answering questions via email and were happy to help with anything we asked when we arrived. I honestly couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. Thoroughly recommend!
- Guest User
Comfortable clean suite, excellent customer service, friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. I had read in the smaller print that because it is an old building there is some noise transference to rooms above the pub - it was minimal, and because it was mentioned, it did not bother me.

Good location but accommodation very disappointing, the so called ”delux double” was tiny with not even enough space to get past the end and side of the bed. Bathroom also tiny! A real shame, pics are very misleading.
- Guest User
We booked a superior room with a. Terrace to find one chair outside meaning as a couple we couldn’t use the outside facilities. The bed sheet was on the floor folded up meaning the cleaner had not even attempted to make our bed before our stay. Hairs found in the shower and sink therefore unsanitary bathroom Really disappointing I paid over £300 for an inadequate room
