"Located in the middle of the Alpes, just 80 kilometres south of Salzburg, the resort is a real hideaway. You will be totally flabbergasted when you enter the lobby. Very stylish and everything you expect from a luxurious mountain resort. It exists out of two buildings, an old part and a new part. The new part is more expensive but much nicer than the old part. The rooms furnished beautifully and the bathrooms are a real wellness highlight. The rooms have a balcony with an amazing view. You won't hear a sound from the surroundings and the beds are very comfortable. Fast Wifi is available everywhere. We booked half board which I can recommend to everyone. The breakfast is outstanding as well as the diner. Endless choices for every taste. You can enjoy excellent wines from local producers. The wellness area is excellent as well. Enough space and everything you need. To summarize, an excellent resort for summer and winter stays in the mountains. Good food, outstanding staff and customer services."
"Das Edelweiss is an absolutely wonderful resort, there is no need to go anywhere else to eat or drink because the resort has it all and the rooms were some of the cleanest I have seen in a resort, down to every Corner was spotless clean and fresh, the assigned tables was the best ever, no need to wonder if or when a table would be available because your table is always available and they are even sectioned off by family and adults only, the bed is Comfortable and the toilet in the junior sweet melisse deluxe room is space age advanced a must experience, the mountains are amazing and there is so much to do for children and adults. Oh and the food was a burst of flavor that takes you on a different journey every day."
"Great hotel, huge buidling. Many facilities, Sauna is nude, so for those who want to wear something in the sauna they have a small finnish sauna. The other sauna is massive and all go in nude. During our day we had to ask to switch the finnish sauna on, all facilities are working except this small sauna in the family section. The following day we asked agian to switch it on but we were told it was too Dangerous for small children....We raised complaint ( no complaint book present) and one of the family members came to apologise but without switch it on. She said it took too long to get it started. After we used the swimming pool, we had a look and it was working ... Food is good, especially breakfast. Dinner is arranged you have to choice out of 3 options, there is no a la carte.... Rooms are ok, not as modern as the lounge, so we think they will modernize once. Beds are single size and the temperature in the room is very high, you cannot lower the temperature, only by opening all Windows and balcony door. Wellnes is very complete. All very new. Family is walking around and greets you every time. For us it felt a bit fake hospitality."

Grünlandstraße 5, Bad Hofgastein, Salzburg, Austria
"We have stayed in many hotels all over the Uk and the world, both individually and as a family with a four year old and a baby and this is hands down the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of stating in. The suite we stayed in, 2 connected rooms, was ideal for our extended family of 6. The decor was really nice.... clean pine and. Interesting clean lined coloured fabrics. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom both stylish and clean. The food was extraordinary, both dry fine dining with a 6 course menu every night and well prepared. The waiters were attentive, friendly and kind. To give one small example our four year old said in passing at breakfast that she wished that hot chocolate was on the menu and with no prompting at all the waitress went and made some milky hot chocolate for her. She was really thrilled. The bar bill for dinner wine was very reasonable, I even asked them to check it as it seemed too cheap! The spa facilities were clean and beautifully designed as was the gym and other facilities. The reception staff were really really wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. I rarely write reviews but this hotel deserves to be recognised as a gem. I doubt anyone could be anything other than thrilled to stay here and we will certainly be back Mark"
"I have just returned from The Hotel Impuls having been there with a group of 17. We have been skiing together for over 20 years (some even longer than that) This was one of the best Hotels we have been to and we have been to many. We cannot fault it in any way, the food was excellent and catered for the Gluten Free and Veggies amongst us. As we were a group of 17 they gave us a separate area to dine in and we were served every night by the most fantastic waiter Sebastian, he entered into our fun and nothing was any bother to him, Ed the barman was also a gem once he got used to us. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel and the Bad Hofgastein area."
"This is a very comfortable well appointed hotel. We stayed as part of a package. Our room was a generous size with balcony and view of the town and mountain. There was plenty of storage and lighting in the room. There were tea and coffee making facilities but no fridge so used the terrace. We had a wide selection of breakfast and good choice at dinner. Drinks were reasonably priced. All the staff were helpful and cheery especially the reception staff. Spa facilities were as you might expect at a quality hotel. Only limitations we found were that the outside pool was only open from about 3pm - disappointing for our non skier. The other is that the nearest ski lift is a short bus ride away or about a 10 minute walk away - there are lockers at the lift so the walk can easily be done in walking boots. We would happily return to this comfortable welcoming hotel. "

"We came to Norica Hotel from New York city . Bad Hofgastein where Norica hotel is located is a wonderful place if you are looking for quiet and relax. The hotel is located in the city center which is so comfortable. To be honest this hotel one of the best we've ever been before . Exelent staff, food is delicious and exquisite, rooms are very clean and modern . And one of the best points of that hotel is direct connection with termal spa which makes it exclusive because you walk down only in bathrobe and slippers and can enjoy thermal water , saunas and wonderfool views . that hotel has a direct ski bus from entrance to ski lift . Highly recommend this hotel to visit!!! It worth it to overcome the distance from Amirica to Bad Hofgastein for such a relaxation. Tykhomyrov Family + Kravtsov Family"
"We are currently staying in Hotel Osterreicherhof and having a wonderful stay. All the staff are friendly and courteous. When we arrived back after a long walk to refill our 3 water bottles in The Celtic Spa I was upset to come across a very abrupt member of staff that works there from Hotel Norica. She had an issue with me getting water and informed me that the water was only if I was using the sauna and not to take away. There is no sign informing anyone of this. How ridiculous that a staff member is so unfriendly that she would not allow me to have 3 small bottles of water for my family. Was I going to drain the water system? I made a complaint at the reception of Hotel Norica and I was informed that she would inform management of the incident I had with Edith. She also informed me I could take water if I wanted. The receptionist was fine but could also improve in her customer service skills. I am extremely environmentally aware and do not wish to buy lots of plastic bottles of water while on holiday and will refill when possible by keeping 3 bottles for us for the week. Hotels should be discouraging the use of plastic where possible not pointing at all the plastic cups beside the tap and telling me this is what they are for which Edith did. Our seas are littered with plastic and it is up to everyone to play there part. Recycling is no longer the answer we must try to minimise our use of plastic in the first place. I was also extremely upset that Edith decided to speak to customers about why I was upset and informing them I was filling 5 bottles and not 3. I hope not all your staff are as unfriendly and unprofessional as Edith. My 11 year old daughter no longer wanted to use The Celtic Spa because of Edith. Very nice to upset an 11 year old all over a little water. The Celtic Spa name made me laugh considering I am Irish. With this name it should be friendly like us Celts. It really is a shame as the spa is beautiful. I was going to give a glowing review of the spa."
"Perfect hotel - staff, place, owners , everything - in my opinion this hotel is 10 stars hotel. For last few years I was spending with my family our winter's holidays in this hotel. This hotel is for everyone hwo want to spend mosta beautiful vacation time. Those hotel is one from the best hotels I have ever beeen."

Reitlpromenade 3, Bad Gastein, Salzburg, Austria
"Miramonte is a mix of modern and vintage design. They have quite successfully used old furniture and decor to bring the hotel to the 21st century. However, not all the dots connect in this place, and it leaves some room for improvement. The hotel is located close to the center of Bad Gastain. It should be noted that it is not easy to drive to the hotel, there are some very steep curves and hills before you get there. Also, parking space is very limited and you must master parallel parking. You can walk to the city center in about 10 minutes. We had booked a budget double room, so we were happy to discover that it was very spacious with a sitting area and a large bathroom. No view though, but that was expected from a budget room. The breakfast was ok with fresh juices and bread etc., but was lacking in hot dishes. They will make you an omelet, though, if you ask for it but this is not advertised in any way! The dinner on the other hand was something else completely... After reading the exellent reviews, we decided to have dinner at the hotel. After we had eaten, I actually had to check the reviews and double-check that we were at the same place! Based on our experience, the food was mediocre at best, and bland and uninspired in general. It’s a fixed menu that costs 30 euro/person. For that price I would expect something special, but what we got was nothing more than lunchtime diner quality. It was a true dissapointment. The service was ok but kind of akward. And that brings us to the shortfalls of the Miramonte. It is supposed to be a four star design hotel. Well, it is not. Firstly, it’s very hard to tell hotel staff from guests. They seem to be all over the place working on different roles, and they don’t have any clothing or name tag or anything that would help in recognizing who is working there. I’m sure there is some great ”we are all friends and equals here” type of philosophy behind this, but it’s just confusing. All the staff members were kind and accomodating, but it’s embarssing to mistake a fellow guest to a staff member! The hotel has limited written information available in English, and e.g. when we arrived we received a bunch of leaflets and booklets but no overall verbal description of services available. So there might have been more services available, but we just weren’t informed about them. What we do know is that there is no minibar or fridge, in-room A/C or safe, laundry service, room service etc. This would be expected in a 4 star hotel. The amenities/toiletries are limited to big bottles of shampoo and soap in the bathroom. The wellness and sauna area is nice, although it should be noted that like in all Austria, sauna is naked and both genders. We didn’t have a chance to try the yoga or massage. In general I guess our expectations were based on all the positive reviews we had read online, but for us they weren’t really met. The Miramonte seems to have its fans, but I’m afraid we wont become those for the lack o"
"We stayed at the hotel for one week during school holidays; food was excellent (can't comprehend complaints about the food at all), the hotel provides an excellent half board, perfect for a day full of activities. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Graukogel slopes and just a short bus ride from Stubnerkogel (they provide shuttles for free), you can walk to the historic city center within a few minutes on a beautiful walkway. The hotel is very well designed (above all the lobby and the restaurant section), the rooms however lack maintenance. The hotel i's a retrofitted mid-century-hotel, so are the rooms. The vintage bathrooms don't resemble vintage but rather old, so do the built-in cupboards and the doors - stains on the cupboards, no noise insulation at all. It's clean though, but in order to cope with the design standard the hotel imposes on itself, some investments need to be done in the bathrooms and the rooms in general. There are no safes and no fridges in the room which is weird for a premium hotel. The spa area is small but nicely designed, the bio-sauna had a beautiful view but was rather chilly, no infusions in the hot sauna which was disappointing."
"This was our 3rd visit to Miramonte and the hotel continues to have its magical charm. The food and staff were amazing and nothing was a problem. The hotel offers a cool chic 1970’s vibe with its wonderful coffee books on display and very comfortable beds to return to after skiing. What makes the hotel is the friendly and helpful staff, its chill out lounge, and beautiful views of the Mountains. We were a very large party and the hotel made every effort to accommodate us. Thank you Miramonte for a wonderful week with you."

Dr. Zimmermann-Straße 7, Bad Hofgastein, Salzburg, Austria
"Overall we had a fantastic four night stay in this hotel. The food is absolutely incredible - lots of choice at breakfast including omelettes made to request, a delicious cake and desert buffet in the afternoon, and five course dinners with plenty of choice (including great vegetarian options). On the Saturday night they did an incredible feast with a grill serving five different kinds of fish on request, hot and cold appetisers, and an amazing ice cream buffet! It was truly spectacular. The staff are really friendly, especially the bar man who does some great cocktails. The location is great, a short five minute walk to the gondola with a spacious ski storage room on site. Our room was huge and very comfortable with lots of wardrobe space, a long sofa and table and a big balcony. The pool and sauna complex are a great way to relax after a day on the slopes - the pool could have been a little warmer but there are lots of fantastic different saunas and a steam room to choose from and it never felt busy (though be warned if you haven't been to the area before - nakedness is the done thing in the sauna, although we were told we would be ok to stay wrapped in a towel....) The only real drawback for me was the lack of tea making facilities in the room as I am a very prolific tea drinker!! We also only had one rather lumpy pillow each on our beds, but housekeeping brought us a second one on request. We also thought it was a bit odd that they frequently played a loud pop music radio station complete with adverts etc in the reception/bar area which was a bit incongruous given the cosy and traditional vibe, though again on request they were happy to change it. Anyway all minor gripes -overall this is a lovely hotel and excellent value - the food really is quite exceptional!"
"We gave just returned (yesterday) from the St Georg in Bad Hofgastein (3rd Feb 2018). Our second time staying there and we will return. The location is unmatched, only 5 min walk to ski lifts and 2 mins to town centre. The hotel itself is lovely, cosy with a nice spa area and pool. It's never too crowded. The staff are the hotel's greatest asset...from Reception (we met Manuela and Yvonne), Greek barman, waiters and chefs, the hotel feels like they care about guests and their holidays. We can not recommend the St Georg highly enough!!! Finally, I had a problem in leaving something valuable behind when I left. After a telephone call, the hotel staff found this for me and are couriering it to Ireland. When I return I'm bringing lots of Irish chocolate for them... Colum"
"Just returned from a wonderful week staying at the St Georg, it's a lovely hotel which is very well located for the slopes. Our room was large with more storage than we've had in many other hotels which is ideal when you're skiing/snowboarding. The food was very good, choices of all courses from a daily menu with omelettes/crepes/fried eggs and bacon all cooked fresh at the grill each morning. My particular highlight was cakes at three o'clock, yum ! There's a wonderful wellness area with numerous treatments, I had a mud wrap which was so relaxing, but difficult to wash off afterwards, took 2 showers to remove it all .... The swimming pool is amazing, temperature around 28 degrees I believe, so easy to get into. It's almost empty during the day which is just as well, it could do with being a little wider so if there's more than 6 people it can seem busy. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and English is spoken by many. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Bad Hofgastein, it added to a great holiday."

"Was there with a group so with buffet half board. The hotel is reasonably well situated 10mn walk from ski gondola Sclossalm and with a bus stop just here. Food is fine considering the number catered for and there is always fresh salads and fruits and delicious bread. The urge of the waiting staff to clear plates and the dining room at 8:30 is rather unpleasant though. The real low point is the dry and even rude attitude of most reception staff who really need to learn to smile and look for ways to help rather than always give a straight forward negative reply. Only a couple of younger ones at reception are pleasant. The check-in was most unwelcoming. "
"As a 4 star hotel some people may be disappointed as it is a little tired in places and could do with a re-vamp. But you have to take account of the very reasonable rates, compared to other 4 star hotels. I actually think it was very good value. I had single occupancy of a small double room that was a decent size for one, with a balcony and a very nice bathroom, half board, for around 90 euros a night. The food was excellent, both the breakfast and dinner. It is not a stuffy hotel with chandeliers etc and grovelling staff, so don't expect that. It's a basic 4 star in a ski resort that does the job well. I would definitely come back!"
"We have visited about 20 ski hotels so far, and this one is ok. We had a small more cheap room (nr 352) wich was calm, nice view, big enough, and recently modernised (bathroom 👍). Ski busses do stop right in front, but be aware; they only run till 17:00 hrs! So apres-ski on the slopes is only possible if you take a taxi or are willing to walk for 2 km. Sauna is good; Swimmingpool looks also good (not visited), and all is more than good enough. The minus was the dinner at evening: we where with a big group and had buffet every day. It was not bad, but also nothing special and low in variation. Drinks where included; beer and soft drinks where ok; wines where not ok (the headache type). Breakfast was ok, on sunday with salmon and bubbles, good espresso from the machine! Jause/afternoon tea was also provided ( pastries not special but ok). The region surprisingly good for ski (langlauf also). All in all worth the money, and I would go back. "

"Stayed here for 2 nights in July. Very helpful receptionist. Rooms large, comfortable, clean and well equipped with a small balcony and good views. Our friends had a room at the back of the hotel which had beautiful views of the mountain. When going for breakfast be aware that tables are reserved by room and name. Breakfast is a good selection, certainly something for everyone. A dinner menu is left on the table for people who wish to book for the evening. Hotel is perfectly situated for a walk around the small town and park. We did not have dinner in the hotel but did use the bar; excellent cocktails. The terrace at the front overlooks the garden which has sunbeds and playground equipment for children (swing, slide, football net etc) Happy to recommend this hotel for few days in the area"

Unterbergstrasse 76, Grossarl, Salzburg, Austria
"We highly recommend this hotel. It made for an amazing three day getaway - top notch service and amenities, great food and located across the street from the gondola. Our suite (nr. 401) was simply amazing (the suite would also be good for families with older kids). The hotel is very well maintained and has an upscale cozy mountain lodge feel. We had the half board option, so breakfast and dinner was included, which was the perfect option for tired skiers. We also loved our après ski massages at the SPA and a dip in the small outdoor pool. The Großarl valley is beautiful and the skiing is great for intermediate and advance skiers— beginners seem to have more limited options but we did notice a lot of ski schools. Lot’s of lunch options on the mountain. I image that summers are very nice here too. Equipment can be rented across the street next to the ticket booth. When we were here in January, there were no lines on the weekend. Prices are very reasonable as well. To access the hotel, we took a 120 EUR taxi from Salzburg airport— about an hour drive. As we were here just to ski and relax, we found no need to have a car. The town is small and sleepy and everything is within walking distance from the hotel. "
"Have just completed a 3 day stay at the Grossarlerhof. I chose the village because of the hiking opportunities. The number of trails was fantastic, all well marked, and providing amazing views across the whole region. Getting around by local bus to the starts of trails proved pretty easy, so a car was not required. The valley is beautiful, and has not been spoilt by crass development. I was very happy with the hotel. It has a wonderful cosy atmosphere, nicely built in traditional style. Suite 402 was beautifully furnished and comfortable. Food was very good, with good variety, local ingredients, and friendly service. The spa area was large, and spotlessly clean. This is a very well run property. Clearly long-standing staff, and many repeat visitors. Strongly recommended!"
"A wonderful hotel just meters from the Panoramabahn gondola. We had a beautiful room, which was serviced twice a day, a great experience dining in their restaurant (Theresa was a fabulous waitress to us), the food was also outstanding every time. A very good choice of wines. Main criticism would be around the bar area, where the welcome bubbly was flat (and served with a long delay), and then the attitude overall was too pushy, there has to be some respect if guests do not want another alcoholic drink. Also a very unpleasant and unfortunate situation around the charge for some cake from the afternoon buffet on the last day, completely out of proportion with the standard of the house and the nightly rates here. "
