"We arrived Thursday night and stayed through Monday for the Valle De Guadalupe Wine & Food Festival.....The first two nights we stayed in Room 21 (upstairs) ...It was clean but keep in mind the standard rooms are very small....it has a Queen bed and a VERY small couch ( No Television) in the room …. Also, keep in mind the walls are thin in the main old building....nonetheless, everything worked including the A/C (outside temp was 94)….We moved to Junior Suite #8.....beautiful room with a 65inch television , king size bed and a large Sofa and Large Bathroom... It was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay....You are awaken by nature in the Mornings (Birds , Horses , sheep and goats) ... From the rooms it is an easy walk to the pool and restaurant....Had breakfast at the restaurant on each day but ordered from the menu...It did take awhile to get our food but the food was made to Order......Overall, we had no complaints, the staff was friendly and assisted us in getting a Private Driver for the day, including to and from the Festival ..By the way, the Hotel was fully booked and staffed due to the Festival.....We shall Return Next Year..."
"Two days and one night in this peaceful and pretty setting was perfect. My g/f and I visit the Valle a lot and our first stay here won't be our last. Stay here to reach other points of interest quicklyas well as enjoy the great food at the onsite restaurant. The location is prefect, the food outstanding and the grounds and rooms are stellar."

"We had such high hopes for this place. Beautiful and a new property owned by Karisma. What else could we ask for? Upon check in we were greeted by our butler Kevin (whaaattt a personal concierge / butler? how fancy) except our American Express card concierge service was faster, more responsive and provide better recommendations than our butler. Our first request was a in-room massage and room service. We were told to order room service by 7. We confirmed an in-room massage for 7 and called for room service at 6. When we called for room service at 6 we were told it was unavailable. The problem was our massage was confirmed and all restaurants were far away and down dark dirt roads. Our masseuses ended up showing up over 30 min late and we ended up walking down dirt, muddy roads to the onsite restaurant to the GM who told us room service was avail until 10 pm. Any time we requested the on-property shuttle it took at least 30 minutes or never came at all. Kevin, the butler, had to keep apologizing for the service and we gave up asking him to do anything. After a day of wine tasting we returned to our room at 4pm that was not made up and we had to call for fresh towels, water and coffee. Not to mention the room service that we had to walked to get the night before was still in-room. The service is poor. The communication was not great. Because it is not easy to get around anywhere be prepared to sit and wait or request everything you need 30 minutes to and hour prior to needing it. The property is gorgeous, the food and wine is amazing but the service needs a lot of help before i can recommend it to anyone."
"For our 35th wedding anniversary my husband booked us at El Cielo. We arrived and immediately were assisted by a lovely staff. Our rooms were lovely and the outdoor space around our room was magical. For me the best part of our stay was breakfast hosted by Juan Pablo. He treated us like royalty. No request too small or difficult. He helped us choose wineries, recommended addt’l restaurants, made calls on our behalf and simply made our visit something we will never forget. My only suggestion is that hotel restaurant Latitude 32 very poor lighting at night. Food very good but the breakfast is the most delicious from homemade yogurt, jellies, sausage and the bread. Sets you hope for the day having had delicious food. "
"My first time visiting was August 2019 I have such a great experience that I invite more people and friends to joint me November 2019 and celebrate my birthday and my friend birthday there we reserve 3 rooms with months of anticipation I was in sock to realize the location of our rooms was on the side of the hotel and at the end and I remember saying to the lady who call me two days before we arrive that I want to made good impression to all my friends we take everything for the kids to make s'mores and until we get there we get notify that the fire pat on that location doesn't work kids was sad and was nothing can do for us but other than that I think twice to post it but is necessary for the money we paid at the hotel we deserve to be notify before we arrive"

"My fiance and I booked a mid-week trip because we wanted to get away without all of the weekend chaos. The weather forecast for the day we were set to arrive called for rain, so we decided to upgrade our standard room to a suite. I called three times the day before we were supposed to arrive- no one ever answered. I sent an email to the hotel- I never got a reply. I tried contacting them through WhatsApp- and although the messages were picked up, no response. I did get a "hello" reply the following day, but they never responded when I replied. When we did get to the hotel, the front desk agent seemed annoyed. When I mentioned we wanted an upgrade (and tried to contact the property multiple times to request one), she gave us one for free, but the room must have been the oldest one they had. There was a weird ledge on the headboard that I hit my head on three times, and the trash can in the bathroom hadn't been emptied (the lid of the trashcan was covered in dust). The bed was insanely comfortable -- so I'll give them that, but I don't think we'd return to this hotel, which is a shame. We had really been looking forward to staying there based on what we'd seen online."
"Place is great and comfortable, accessible and easy to find, but is to close to the highway so expect noise even in the futhest room, pet friendly but not that many space for walks. Pretty clean and has continental breakfast in the morning in the lobby."

Calle Batopilas S/N Lote 9,Col. Las Lomas, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
"These are nice cottages with great potential but there are a few missing pieces to the experience, especially for the price. We had booked a jr. suite with kitchenette, last minute a few days before our stay. La cima was one of the only hotels in the valle with good availability. When we arrived, we were given keys to one of the tiny rooms on the main property with no kitchen. When we asked why we didn’t get the kitchenette we booked they said there was “a problem” and we should’ve been notified (we weren’t) but that there would be no refund since the cottage where we were staying is “more expensive than the kitchenette”. Not sure how that could be, so we felt baited and switched. They offered to let us use the hotel’s kitchen? though and threw in free breakfast but perhaps wouldn’t have offered it if we didn’t ask. They forgot to tell us the breakfast didn’t start until 8:30am though. Didn’t bother to explain any other amenities and we were left to explore on our own. We are early risers and ended up waiting around for hours the first morning for coffee and for the place to open. With no information, we got an Uber to another breakfast place instead. Once we knew the breakfast time, the next morning the breakfast turned out to be good, tasty Baja style egg dishes. We received excellent service at the restaurant. The furnishing for the hotel and restaurant are all ikea. It’s in a good location, very clean and there’s a nice view, but there is still a lot of construction being done (paused or in the works—it’s unclear) on the grounds. The pool area, for instance, has a view of construction. The pool isn’t heated and neither is the hot tub. The grounds that are completed have beautiful gardens and vineyards. Even though it’s a newish place some stuff seems like it’s already worn. You can hear bathroom noise from guests in the adjoining room, which is a huge negative. The floors are freezing so bring thick socks or slippers. We received only one bathrobe for use during our stay. There is only instant coffee offered in the room. The rain shower water pressure is lacking and hot water goes in and out. Maid service did not refill our water some of the days. WiFi was spotty— you’re better off relying on cell service, which was fine on T-mobile/ telcel network. Maybe we should cut some slack since we visited during offseason and not high season. The reason for 3 stars is basically, for the price we paid We would’ve expected a lot more and for some of these finer touches to be present. It’s not a bad place to stay, just poor expectation setting and not great service for the price. We would’ve loved a cozy common area to warm up and relax before heading out for the day since we had such a tiny room. Or even cozy outdoor seating with blankets (there was a bit of a cold snap while we were there) would’ve been a nice way to enjoy the view. We ended up pulling our own chairs from the dining area to sit outside when the sun was out. They have fire pits out"
"This place is beautifully designed and decorated. Very clean! The beds are very comfortable with nice soft sheets. The breakfast included is delicious. The hot tub is extra hot which is how it should be. Too cold to use the pool but I did see the staff cleaning it every morning. It’s the only place I ever want to stay when I visit the Valle now! The staff are very nice and ultra complimentary! I cant wait for our next stay. We will most definitely be back! "
"I stayed here for LDW with my husband after we decided last minute to make a road trip to Baja’s wine country. The location is great- just off route 3 - so it was easy to get to and from places in Valle de Guadalupe. You can get a beautiful view of the Valle from the grass area by the front office. The resort was still under construction when we were there, but it’s still nice despite that. The pools and hot tub were a nice treat after a long day of driving down to Ensenada. The hotel restaurant was good, but service is very slow. We had breakfast there two mornings. I say just enjoy the views and the company that you have while you wait. :) I am sure that they will get better with time. The hotel staff are really nice and they were helpful in securing reservations for dinner. There are also some very friendly dogs that live nearby that hang out at the resort which was lovely. I would recommend staying here."

"This hotel is a gem. It is a combination of a vineyard, wine tasting facility, resaurant and a 16-room boutique hotel. Although the rooms and common areas such as the pool, gardens and lobby were spectacular, it was the service that was so outstanding. I am already planning my next visit and THIS is where I will return!"
"This place will be forever in our memories in our tour of the Valle de Guadalupe. The service, the views, gardens, vineyards, and ambience were impeccable. Rooms were nice and comfortable, and the restaurant served a lovely breakfast but were not open for dinner, which was our only disappointment."
"This is by far one of the best places to stay in the Valle in respect to price, value, and experience. The pool and jacuzzi are great. The restaurant has really good dishes and the wine and beer are great. This is definitely a place I always recommend to folks when they come out here. "

"I had to re-schedule my trip because of Covid, the previus administration was terrible, they could never give me an answer and they wanted to charge me the cost of the room again to respect my reservation. But now that Grupo Los amantes took over the administration they were the nicest and easiest to talk to. They treated us excelent, the restaurant is great, as well as the bar. The bedrooms are really clean, and the beds really nice. And also the staff is super helpful and polite The hotel is vert good located, everything is really near by."
"This place surpassed my expectations. There was excellent hospitality. The people including Antonio, Julissa and Maricela made sure we were well attended throughout our stay. Not to mention the food made by Chef Aldo was delicious! Also, I highly encourage everyone to tryout the Temazcal, a traditional Mexican Sweat Lodge. Looking forward to being back!"
"Beautiful property -check out their garden! Nice people, great breakfast- continental breakfast is delicious and the other breakfast offerings on the menu were great. Dinner was ok. Rooms are minimal and cold. Our beds were made without comforters. One bed with only a fitted sheet and thin blanket. Sliding room doors do not close all the way and are very loud. The curtains in the room did not fit the length of the window thus leaving huge gaps on both ends allowing more cold air to get in. Propane heaters are provided however didn't cut it, we were freezing. Spa is not open, which is not listed anywhere on there website. After calling the hotel multiple times with no answer and no response to my email, we didn't find out the spa was closed until we arrived. The spa was the only reason we chose this hotel. Pool was open but dirty and Jacuzzi was broken. So other than their restaurant there wasn't anything available to us. Disappointing stay over all. "

"We live in San Diego and visited the wine region for a weekend - 6 of us - renting 4 villa rooms. Rooms were great and the restaurants and facilities were great. It is a big property with different themed accommodation, so you either need a car to move between the areas or ask reception to drive you (golf buggies). We stayed in the villas near Hache restaurant, with pool, cafe and dining easily walkable in 2 mins. We had dinner at Canteras, near reception, where you would need a lift to get to. Both very good restaurants. Would recommend."
"Nothing really positive to say about this "resort." The experience started with no one responding to my initial email so that I could book a room for a wedding block. I had to follow up twice before getting a response but even then, the price was incorrect. So several emails later and I was finally able to pay via PayPal. Never received a confirmation so had to follow up once again and told that their email would serve as confirmation. Fair enough but did all of this really require 31 emails back and forth?! Should have known from this how the rest of our experience would have gone. Fast forward to our arrival. We are greeted by a less than stellar front desk attendant that gave off that "I don't really want to be here" vibe. Wish I could remember her name but she has a pixie type hair cut if that helps. Anyway, she proceeds to try to charge me for 2 nights even though I had cancelled with plenty of notice for the first night (per their policy, it is 48 hours and I gave them more than a week notice). I then point out that I shouldn't even need to pay for the 1 night as I already paid via PayPal. She calls someone to confirm this and luckily that little nightmare is settled. How none of this is correctly noted is beyond me. We are taken to our suite and that's where the major issues happened. There are a dozen dead bugs right when we walk into the front door and coffee grounds all over the tray where the coffee maker is kept. We see that there are 2 large holes in the coffee bag and realize there is only one thing that could have done this - rats or mice! We call reception and they send a housekeeper to clean up. While she's on her way, I inspect a bit more and notice dust and rings on a wooden table left by wet glasses. I also look over where the dead bugs are laying and can tell that the floor had not been adequately swept. Housekeeper eventually arrives and when I show her the coffee bag, she confirms, "Oh yeah, rats." She says she will clean up in the most nonchalant manner so we tell her not to bother because there is no way in hell we are staying in this room, especially because my daughter would be staying in the room with the rodents! We are given another room, but in a completely different area - Tesela. Annoying because the rest of friends and family were in the villas. But whatever, we are told that's the last room available, which I highly doubt because the place definitely didn't look full. This room was cleaner but lacking basic things like tissue and a working telephone! The water from the shower overflowed all over the bathroom floor and the stairs leading to the lower level are deadly! Stay away from this disaster of a hotel. I hear there are way better places to stay in the Valle!"
"My family and I stood here because there was a room block for a wedding. The location is pretty close to all the wineries, so that’s a plus. The rooms were okay, a few things missing that I feel are basic amenities and would have made the stay more enjoyable. The rooms are missing a safe, mini refrigerator, microwaves, TVs, and irons are only available upon request. Also, no ice machines. They don’t have ironing boards in the room either. We stood at encinal and the rooms were small but we were only there a couple nights, so it was okay. The resort is still building so I’m sure with time it will be better. A lot more dirt than expected, but we survived. "
