"Needless to say jetwing, Lanka's high-end resort hotel brand. Although this is a franchise store and not a direct store, it uses its management team and its products. Small details need to be strengthened. A lot of food is shipped from the lighthouse hotel next to it, so the service time is relatively long, there is no bathtub, and the water output is slightly smaller. The manager is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The other waiters are less experienced in internships and have poor English communication skills. Overall it is good, the environment has nothing to say, the quiet and private is generally satisfactory."
"The hotel is a bit remote and there is a bigger jetwing hotel. All the facilities and conditions are quite complete. I have to go to the big shop to do the spa here, but it is quieter. If you compare the private breakfast, tell him what you want to eat. He will give You sent a squirrel back and forth to run the bird in the pool to drink water."
"Overall is good. The price is also right. It is suitable for parent-child holiday."

No 30 Park Road, Kaluwalla, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"A perfect place to celebrate your special days.... we visited this place couple of days ago and I would like to put a note here stating that this is a best place of relaxation, rest and tranquility. Le Grand is located in the heart of Galle city. It’s just 5 minutes away from the Galle Railway Station and Galle Bus Station. If you use the highway it’s just 10 minutes away from the exit. The world famous Galle Fort is 10 minutes away from the resort and Galle Fort has added a remarkable value to this place by fulfilling the seaside view. From the front office we received a warm welcome and within a minute after our arrival we felt that we weren’t at a new place anymore. Front Office Manageress is a very friendly personality and she spent some time with us making us comfortable with the premises. We appreciate the brief introduction and the details given by her about our stay & that helped us a lot. Staff is very professional, friendly & helpful. Until we stepped into our Premium Room we really didn’t think that we were heading to a place where it was more spacious than we expected along with all the amenities. Such a comfortable place with a breathtaking view of the seaside with the Fort at one side. And that drove us to spend a lot of time in the balcony. This resort contained three restaurants named as Taste which is their main restaurant, Blue where you can enjoy seafood & Dip located at the pool side. We had mouthwatering dishes and the entire staff along with the Restaurant Manager were always ready to fulfill all our wishes. We made our dinner as a candlelight dinner and it was gorgeous with the sea breeze under the stared sky. They had amazing buffets with so many cuisines with many dishes. We were very well content. Especially we would like to highlight the person who stands behind this lovely hospitality and his effort, The Residential Manager - Mr. Lahiru De Silva. A very humble & generous personality we have met in our journey. Thank you so much Mr. De Silva & Le Grand for making our stay memorable & the staff for the superb service given from the arrival to the departure. We stepped as visitors and left as friends."
"It was our second visit, and nothing fails to attract us again there, when we really need a break, kid friendly and very friendly staff, who go out of their way to make the guest feel special. it has become our place of heaven , to run in to when we are stressed. both times we stayed the experience was really good. will come again when time permits. food too is exceptional. "
"It's was a good stay. Good Location. Very clean room. Amazing view. Friendly staff. Specially Sadeesh. He was very helpful and we didn't see a person who concern and follow the safety instructions that mush among our tour. Thanks Le Grand for a wonderful stay..."

Badalge watta, Udugama Road,Bataduwa, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"We just returned from our wonderful holiday at Ceylon Olive in Galle. This property caught my eye when i first saw the amazing reviews on and was so glad we chose it as our destination and made a booking directly with the owner via whatsapp. Our main criteria was that we could take our doggie Pippa along with us because it always breaks our heart when we leave her behind and go on holiday. Kumudu, the owner agreed immediately upon my request. However, please do check with him first before you take your pet because there could be different circumstances at the time you book so it's always better to do so :) Rooms : Spacious, comfortable and well thought of in the sense that they had all the amenities needed. A safe, Mini fridge, TV, really good Wifi, Amazing air-conditioning plus a fan in the room and porch, comfortable beds, Hair dryer, in-room tea + Coffee, 2 large water bottles and more. We stayed in the "Cinnamon" room but i was able to check the other three rooms out and they had the same amenities. Bathroom : spacious and open air shower + bathtub. perfect water pressure and spotlessly clean and included two bath towels and pool towels + shower gel and shampoo Ambience : So relaxing and quiet. My husband, doggo and I had such a peaceful, relaxing time in the garden and had a very refreshing dip in the pool as well. Each room has a porch and sitting area which we enjoyed having a drink in while playing Monopoly Deal Food : Home cooked and amazingly tasty! I would recommend anyone to let Kumudu know the menu you wish to have in advance and he will get it arranged for you with some added extras as well. We recommend the fish curry and string hoppers very much! I left the best for last : The service was simply amazing. Kumudu and his family live on the property and are so attentive to every small detail. We requested that Pippa gets her meal heated up and sent to us by 8:30 pm and it came to us exactly at that time. Such dedication and attention to detail is not something you see often and the three of us really appreciate it. Everyone was so kind and caring that it honestly made us feel like we were visiting people that we knew for a long time and it definitely felt like home! Overall, just amazing! Thank you so much for allowing us to bring Pippa on our holiday and you made her feel really special and loved too! I think she was sadder than us to leave the place! We will definitely be recommending the place and returning"
"We had a great stay hosted by Kumudu and his family. From the moment we arrived we were extremely well looked after. We had the family room which was a terrific size and had a great outside dining area overlooking the pool. The rooms were exceptionally clean and also had lovely touches to make them feel warm and welcoming. A major bonus of this accommodation was having access to a tuk-tuk service whenever we needed it. This made moving around Galle so much easier and took all of the thinking out of it. We happily slipped into a lazy comfortable stay for the last few days of our trip. Thanks again Kumudu."
"Stayed here for 2 nights as a group of 4 last week. I can not recommend this place enough, between juice on arrival, breakfast to our room (which was devine) at a time of our choice, everything was made easy. Kumudu was the best host, making us smoothies by the pool during the day and he even gave us a packed breakfast as we were catching an early flight and would miss breakfast! Such a gentleman. Thank you for the perfect ending to our trip!"

Palutagaha Junction , Thalpe - Unawatuna, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"We originally booked to watch the test match in Galle, but this was called offf the day before we travelled. We discussed the current situation and decided to go based on the fact there had been only 1 recorded case of the virus on the island and that had been in January. The place is aa little tired and not as big as pictures seem it to be, bt that does not matter one bit. The location is great, right on the beach and the stafff are fantastic. Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. The food is very good with a reasonable choice for breakfast and evening meal,, we stayed half board as we tend to eat a snack at lunchtime. Around 20 minutes by tuk tuk to the fort and lighthouse in Galle. We had to cut the holiday short by 5 days due to thwe ongoing situation and the last 3 days we were curfewed in the hotel. This was very traumatic, 32 degreee heat, unbroken sunshine, on the beach and they had r-stocked the bar before we went into lockdown. We cant wait to go back :)"
"We stayed here late January/ February for about 10 days; certainly alot longer than most of the other guests who only seemed to stay for a few days at most. I have to admit to being a little disappointed when we first arrived; it is in need of some TLC etc. BUT the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff soon made up for the initial disappointment. They are what made our stay special, we did a number of trip (Yala, sea turtles, lagoon trip, galle fort etc) our driver and guide was superb, learnt so much from him about life and culture in Sri Lanka. One of the bar staff (so sorry, can't remember his name!) even came to the hotel to pick my husband up on his motorcycle and take him to a local festival one evening on his day off! The beach is to die for, definitely one of my happy places. Goes on for miles and hardly anyone on it. It is a bit of a scramble to get to it, but not too bad. There are a few places in each direction along the beach to get good food and a drink (recommend Jungle Beach bar) Enjoyed seeing the new 'towel art' daily too! When all this virus madness is over I really really hope to be able to visit again."
"This was an amazing trip! There were so many highlights, to start with the accommodation was great and the view was amazing from the rooms, the food served at the hotel restaurant was lip smacking and the price was very low when compared to other restaurants near by. The crab curry served at the hotel was fantastic. The people at the hotel were really generous depicting Sri Lanka culture. To mention few employees at Cantaloupe Ranjit was an AMAZING host, he took care of us and was very attentive to the group and had us laughing always. It was an amazing experience that we as a family would always cherish. This hotel is highly recommended to families who want some personal space and there is no much crowd. The hotel is beautiful and the view from the room are breath taking. Must visit place."

Dadella Galle, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"A hotel that can definitely increase happiness during travel. To save the budget, you can arrange a night experience. The full design style is already amazing. Monopolized the scenery of a coast. There is nothing better than sitting on the balcony of the room and enjoying the sea view alone. The hotel is west of Galle. It takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to the Galle Fort."
"The service was poor, arrived at the hotel, checked in, waited for half an hour, and said that we had to wait until 2 o'clock to check in. Check in at 2 o’clock, no objection, let ’s say early, why did you have to wait half an hour, and then called the chartered driver, we went to lunch; the result was at 2:30, and then I hurried several times for a long time and waited again Check-in took 40 minutes. 1600 day hotel, I feel the worst feeling in this trip."
"Jetwing lighthouse Galle is another Bawa-designed hotel. Every part of the hotel is a beautiful landscape, which can definitely increase the happiness during travel. The window in the room was instantly quiet, listening to the sound of the sea against the window, a book and a cup of coffee at the moment was enough to stun me all afternoon."

Sri Villas 69 Kilometre Post Colombo Galle Highway Induruwa Sri Lanka, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"Six of us stayed at SV for 4 nights at the beginning of our holiday 2 weeks ago. It was perfect in every way to unwind and start to feel the Sri Lankan magic seep in ! We had a villa to ourselves which was very comfortable the staff couldn’t do enough for us but not intrusive. We eat every night in our villa the food was delicious, choice of Sri Lankan or European menu The breakfast was brilliant too. The sea was a little rough so only swim the last too days but wow what a stunning beach and to walk out of the villa straight onto the beach was so lovely. The pool was fab and great for swimming lengths !! Carolyn and Blackie were great hosts and organised some yoga for us which we did each morning couldn’t have been a better place to be in front of the ocean. We all would definitely recommend SV and we would love one day to return. Thank you Carolyn and Blackie "
"We stayed four nights at Sri Villas and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel lies right on a very long, empty sand beach, so you just step out to the water -- or stay in the hotel pool looking out to the sea. The room was spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished with a view right out onto the ocean. The staff was very attentive without being obtrusive. We ate there nearly every night (except for one evening when we went to Galle) and the food is good, with the specials changing every day. The manager Carolyn was very nice and helpful, and we loved her dog, Blackie, who every morning at breakfast would come over and sit under our table. Overall it was a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the beauty."
"We have just rounded off a wonderful trip to Sri Lanka with a couple of days at this perfect beachside location. The waves thunder on the sand just in front of the property and everyone gathers down where the grass meets the sand for sundowners at 6pm. The accommodation is flawless and the food delicious, but what makes the property so special is the lovely chilled atmosphere created by Carolyn the manager and the Sri Lankan staff. Carolyn is knowledgeable about Sri Lankan history and literature, and has clearly developed a real feeling for the country she now calls home, which is evident in the respect between her and the young Sri Lankan waiters. I would have no hesitation in returning "

"The elegant suite to be checked in, Ctrip marked the room as 99 square meters. The captain's suite on the second floor of the hotel actually stayed. The room should have 200 square meters. It feels like the best and largest room in this hotel. The housekeeper and waiter are very friendly. The feeling that monkeys, squirrels, and flies that can't keep away accompanied me to eat breakfast is wonderful! If you do n’t want to be disturbed by flies, there are air-conditioned rooms to choose from, but there are no cute animals to accompany. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the old city. There are 10 rooms in total, with fewer guests, large rooms and beautiful surroundings! After comparison, I personally think that the hotel is more beautiful and cost-effective than the old city hotel, so stay for three days!"
"A hotel with a sense of time, quiet, the hotel's small courtyard is good, but the location is a bit awkward. It takes about 10 minutes to tulle to Galle Railway Station and the ancient city, 300 to 400 rupees. The room is not small, but it feels dark. Some depression, especially from the Marriott Hotel in Melissa, this feeling is more intense, read the review order, originally expected, but actually a bit disappointed, the overall feeling is not high cost, give everyone a Galle train Train timetable at the station. The train at 9.00am is a local train departing from Galle, 4 hours to Colombo, few people, there are seats, express trains 2 and a half hours, but there are many people, basically no seats"
"The hotel is beautiful. It was a Dutch mansion rebuilt from the colonial period. It ’s enough for two or three for a single breakfast. Butler service is very friendly. There are peacock squirrels in the yard. Looking at the coconuts on the coconut tree, thinking about which one can be cut down and drink, a bunch of monkeys jumped from the tall tree to the roof, hurriedly passing by without knowing where they were going. The wild geese and peacock flew slowly over their heads, and the squirrel was Walking on the wall looking for ... too cute ~"
