"The double bed is very big, but it is made up of two single beds. The middle position is a bit set aside. The hotel breakfast is rich and delicious. The front desk service is very good. Parking is 25 yuan a night. . It is also close to the beach. My son goes to the beach every day to dig sand. He is very happy. There are also some restaurants near the hotel, and it is very convenient to eat."
"The location of the hotel is very good. It’s right by the sea, just across a road to the sea. You can see the sea and the Ferris wheel from the room! There are many restaurants downstairs in the hotel that are very delicious. There is a shopping mall and supermarket behind the hotel. It is very convenient. There are parking spaces downstairs but it is very difficult to grab. There is a parking lot in the hotel for $27 a day. acceptable."
"The hotel is located on the seaside of Geelong, with beautiful scenery. The balcony of the room can see the sea. There is an ice cream shop next to it, which is delicious. The room is small and has a sofa. Parking can only be valet and is charged. There is a Chinese-speaking young lady who has a good service attitude."

"Does not include breakfast, the hotel facilities are old, the carpet is not very clean, foreign hotels have no slippers, not worth the price, the bed is relatively large, and the alarm suddenly sounds at night, check it, it is a false alarm. There is a hospital next to the hotel, and there is a castle-style building next to it. The surrounding environment is OK. Going to the Great Ocean Road for one night will leave."
"Due to the delay of the flight, we did not stay on time, arrived the next morning, in fact, it has already passed the check-out time, and then we will give us 2 hours to wash it free of charge after the communication hotel."
"The location is in the city, 1 km walk to the East Coast beach; there are no facilities nearby, breakfast is charged separately, the water in the room is also charged separately. There is no free parking downstairs, you need to pay 10 knives / day; the hotel facilities are old, The corridor was not very clean, and it was still wet."

"Just a motel! The only advantage is that it is three or four minutes walk from the Ferris wheel by the seaside in Geelong. Geelong is an exquisite seaside town, but there are really no hotels. Most of them are motel-style. The summer season is very expensive. Let's say that the price of the Geelong Motel this night almost caught up to the five-star Canberra hotel the night before Double, so stay for a night and remember"
"The location is very good, the bed is big and comfortable"

"I made a small phone call for the Chinese boss. At 11 o'clock in the evening, the plane landed. After picking up the car, I arrived at the store for nearly 12 o'clock. The whole block was covered with wood. At the cheek in the door, I pressed the bell and the boss immediately came out. So warm, don't worry about going to the streets. The late night boss introduces us to the surrounding area of Geelong, helping us to eat the place where we eat, the first stop is really warm, the hotel environment is very good, recommend everyone to go oh~ The price is very close to the family! Unfortunately, leaving the next day is too hasty to take pictures!"
"Quiet motel. Very clean. Best bed ever. And you get biscuits and Nescafe coffee. Great heating."
"Very convenient location, clean"

"Hostess Helen could not have been more accommodating when I phoned to say I'd be arriving late and outside their normal reception hours. A warm smile and genuine greeting made the craziness of the day and long drive fade away. Was super happy settling into my room. Hot and perfect pressure shower washed the journeys grime away and the room was spacious with everything I could have needed. There are some elements that date the abode slightly but it was super clean and quite frankly, I couldn't have cared less when I sank into my comfy bed in my room that had been pre-cooled by the aircon in preparation for my arrival on a hot day. All the little touches that make me want to return and recommend this place whose hosts are the epitome of stellar customer service. If I had one suggestion to make it would be that I found the door difficult to lock from the inside and whilst a chain did provide security, something more robust would have made this solo traveller feel totally locked in and secure. Thank you Helen for your warmth and care. I look forward to another stay."
"A three night getaway for us located five minutes from Geelong CBD. Our host Helen is a very experienced and knowledgeable motel manager and ensures that their motel garden, facilities and rooms are good standard and good value. Delightful local ladies took great care making up our rooms each day. Spacious room with comfortable king bed, chairs, table and couches, microwave, sink, kitchen items, large shower recess etc. Motel is set well back from the main road so no traffic noise was evident to us. Easy parking in wide car spaces outside the rooms. Free WiFi was high speed. Suggest contacting the motel directly if you want the best competitive price. We were very happy with room 6 which was located at the end of the block of rooms and close to reception."
"I stayed here a night whilst travelling to Portarlington. After reading all the positive reviews I decided to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. The owner was very lovely and put me in Room 1 (closest to reception), as to keep me away from the group of travelers at the other end of the motel - I thought that was very lovely. Room was very spacious, great bed, undercover parking, and comes with a dvd player. There was a spa in the room, but I didn't use it. Lovely towels which was a bonus. Slept perfectly, was so quiet considering on a main road. Will 100% stay here again next time I need stay in Geelong"

"We got off the plane at 9:30 in the evening and checked in at 10:30. We had to pay an extra $100 for the overtime pay at the front desk on the spot, and told us not to pay, the room rate was not refunded, and the check-in was abandoned. This is a Chinese boss, a woman, this is a black shop. My experience is for your reference!"
"Just on the beautiful beach, I feel very comfortable, and the landlord is very good, can speak Chinese, and is very nice. If you can, I will come back next time, I feel that the facilities are a little old."

"Stayed at Gold Star Stays for one night in Jan 2020 in a two bedroom apartment. All rooms, bathrooms and living spaces were very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our time there and it was perfect for what we needed for the night stay. It was super easy to book online through booking.com. Only thing that made check in tricky were details of our apartment number and safe key number were not sent through prior to check in so we needed to wait and call management for assistance. Once this was sorted it was super easy to check in and check out."
"We have never had so much trouble booking accommodation, John was very rude and wouldn’t own up to his mistakes kept saying we don’t listen. We had to move accommodation three times. First of all we wanted to stay in Torquay which we said when making the booking but he booked us into Geelong. When we arrived he made us wait outside for 20 minutes before coming down. He then said we never said we had a dog and dogs can’t stay here but he had another apartment we could stay just down the road. We were not happy with that one so we said do have anything in Torquay where we originally wanted to stay. He said yes but it’s an extra $335 but wanted cash wouldn’t take it off our cards. We waited until 6pm to ring him again to see if we could check in, he said he wanted the cash and to put it in the fuse box. Which we did. Around 7:30pm he is then WALKING into our accommodation no knocking and no ringing to say he was outside just came straight into our apartment, saying we didn’t put the money where he said I went outside and showed him we put it where he said. Overall the house was not clean and it was the worst most stressful stay we have ever had! Never again and definitely do not recommend!!!"
"I did not get to stay at this accommodation due to Covid19. After trying to liaise with John a couple of months out from my booking I then had to make numerous phone calls - John's memory is obviously not what it used to be as he "doesn't remember" a lot of things and could not recall any correspondence from me. He does not respond to email, as I think this would make him accountable, so better to not have things written down leaving a paper trail. Whilst trying to negotiate a change with him he swore at me and told me "he had wasted enough time on this matter and was going to hang up" I only wish I'd read the reviews prior to booking this property. Whilst the current pandemic is not John's fault (as he told me numerous times throughout the call) he did not show any empathy and was very difficult to talk to. I hope John does get to retire next year (he is 67 you know, who'd of thought I need to know this - John did) cause he truly is exhausted from his years in Hospitality which came through loud and clear in our discussion. I will visit Geelong as soon as possible but will NOT use any Gold Star accommodation ever!!!!!!!"

"The men at the front desk are around 50 years old, but the super patience reminds us that it is more affordable to buy a baggage ticket online, and he also superbly prints out the train itinerary from Geelong to Geelong Airport that myki card can use. In this way, we can take the children to arrange the time spent in Geelong for a long time, and take the children to Geelong Beach to play! There is a microwave in the room, it is a good choice for only one day, and 8 minutes walk from Geelong South Station. Baidu map is very easy to find, and it is 25 minutes to walk to Geelong beach... Location is convenient."
"Very good experience, came here to get a diploma, just temporarily stayed in geelong for one night, so I chose this one. The front desk was very polite. When I first entered, I was still in English. After knowing that I was Chinese, I exchanged directly in Chinese. The rooms are also very clean. Some of the rooms should be provided. As a motel, they have done a good job. Due to the evening flight, I checked out at noon the next day and left my luggage in the hotel. The overall feeling is very good, I will choose this next time I come to Geelong."
"We stayed the night before the big ocean road. The hotel room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the reception desk is patient and enthusiastic. The location of the hotel is also good. You can walk to the beach to see the Geelong colored puppets. There are restaurants and small supermarkets on the way to facilitate eating and purchasing. The boss is Chinese. If you have any questions, please ask him or ask him for help. He is also very enthusiastic, thank you very much!"
