Just amazing! We flew into Glasgow from Australia to have our wedding at Sherbrooke Castle last week and it was everything we could have imagined and more! We booked our wedding a few months out from our planned date after originally having booked another venue who were very unresponsive. I am so glad we decided to change to Sherbrooke! Claire was amazing in helping us plan from another country and made planning our day smooth and easy and was always available to answer our questions. William was a bride and grooms dream on the day always by our side and making sure we had everything we need. The hotel itself was amazing - beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds and the food was incredible. But the staff make this place even more magical. Thank you Claire, William and the rest of the staff at Sherbrooke for helping us have the best day of our lives. We will definitely be back to stay at the hotel whenever we are in Glasgow. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Glasgow or having a wedding.

It’s a tremendous hotel positioned on a hill top. The hotel is fantastic and particularly suitable for tourists to enjoy this nice looking castle hotel. The breakfast is great and this is the best hotel so far in this trip. Certainly, we will introduce to our friends and if we come again, this is our priority choice.

This hotel is beautiful. We booked a junior suite and we’re pleasantly surprised with the size of our ground-floor room. The decor is very nice, and we enjoyed the large tub in the bathroom. The hotel provides water, which was also appreciated, as well as tea and coffee. The price was reasonable, and it is just a 10 minute walk or so to the botanical gardens. If you go just a little further, you will hot many restaurants, pubs, and shops. The only negative was that it’s a bit far out from the center, so if you need to go back and forth, the cab fare may add up. I prefer the quiet of being away from the center.

This is exactly the kind of hotel one hopes to find in a large city. The room was very comfortable and staff extremely welcoming. It was well located and parking was easy just around the corner from the hotel. The evening meal with a very high standard and the breakfast matched this. We’ll certainly return to use as a base to explore more of this city.

We stayed one night. Hotel is lovely and very well maintained. Reception staff friendly. Our room was good with amazingly comfy bed. The bathroom however let it down as grout was a bit mouldy and bath matt dirty. Also room didn't appear to have a hairdryer. The Champagne Central bar was great but our cocktails were such a rip off: £10.50 each and had ice to the brim of tall glasses so hardly anything in the glass to drink - shocking and disappointing. Breakfast very good but wouldn't expect to get my own tea or coffee from a machine or make my own toast at a 4 star hotel.

My favourite hotel in all of Glasgow! I just love staying here. Rooms are always immaculate, beautifully decorated & cozy. Staff are second to none & the food is good too. Also have a fantastic nights sleep when I am here. Thank you so much for another lovely stay.

I booked for 2 nights 15th- 17th September for leisure purposes. It was my 40th birthday and my husband had bought tickets to see Kevin Bridges at the Hydro next door. As a special occasion, we booked a Suite & decided to stay longer to make a nicer and relaxing stay. I booked via Booking.com earlier in the year. Extremely easy to get to the Hotel, easy to park & clear signage. Like the walkway into the hotel itself which kept us off the road and the parking tablets on Reception made the process very easy. (Not always a given in a City Centre Hotel - so appreciated) Check In- extremely efficient and staff were brilliant. Was disappointed to be notified that the swimming pool was closed & would be shut the following day from 1430. It was part of the reason I’d chosen the hotel over others in the area. Unfortunately got to the room and it wasn’t a suite. Went back down to Reception & issue was quickly resolved (thank goodness- over £200 per night for a standard double was not what I was quoted when first looking at room options) I received a drinks voucher for 2 due to inconvenience which I thought was a kind gesture. Suite- (1106) Liked the space & loved the views over the River Clyde & beyond. Carpets were stained in multiple areas, cupboards broken on all units, remote control for the TV in living space didn’t work, room service menu was filthy with food marks, and carpets were dirty under the furniture where I presume it was trickier to get a hoover although still very visible. There were bits of debris & dust under the unit in the living space. Even more off putting was opening a bottle of sparkling water provided and finding it had already been opened and someone had clearly taken a swig already. Bar- Decided to go and use our drinks vouchers in the Bar before getting ready for the show. Waited with staff not acknowledging us & talking whilst unloading the dishwasher. When eventually served, was advised I couldn’t have a cocktail due to the show next door. I have no idea of the rationale of this policy but didn’t want to question further. I recognise it’s not the bar staff that write the policies & didn’t want to cause any bad feeling. I asked for a large white wine instead & was then informed that I couldn’t have a large size with the drinks voucher & a medium was then promptly served. I would understand if I’d asked for a Dalmore 62 or a pint of Vodka, but I thought 75 ml extra of wine was tight & poor customer experience especially in the circumstances considering the voucher being received in the first place. I was then asked by the Bar Staff member “Let me guess, you got the voucher due to a problem with the room?” I agreed. “ Doesn’t surprise, this isn’t a good hotel” was the response. When sitting in the bar, I noticed other guests were clearly being served cocktails. I felt extremely put out by this & added to my overall bad impressions of the hotel. Next morning- breakfast in the club lounge- Helped myself to cereal, yo

Overall our stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but desgined really well and very comofrtable. The hotel had a great atmosphere to it, with lots of young guests and things to do in the reception area. The wifi was hit and miss - trying to make a zoom call in the reception area was nearly impossible even at 7am.

The accommodation experience was good, clean and tidy. Service in place. Easy and fast check-in. The only problem is that there is no phone number during the holidays. You need to contact customer service downstairs to solve the problem.

Holiday Inn on West Nile St is a great location when touring Glasgow. It is a convenient walk to sights and restaurants. We opted for a suite on the top floor, and loved having the additional room besides the bedroom to relax. Our room had a lovely, large walk-in shower. Be aware that some of the ceilings are sloped, but even though my husband is quite tall we were able to work around it. Holiday Inn offers a lovely and ample breakfast buffet. Would highly recommend purchasing this option with your reservation. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful whenever we needed anything. For downtown Glasgow, I highly recommend this hotel.

First the good point - the handyman changed the light bulbs very quickly The place is tired and desperately needs updating. When I got to my room half of the lights were not working and the decor was dark so the room felt very dark and depressing. The air conditioning was so loud and clunky. Went down to the restaurant for dinner and was seated in the conservatory where the diners could not be seen by the waiting staff. I ordered a cheeseburger which took 40 minutes to arrive, strange when there were only 4 diners. The bun was burned and the burger so over cooked it was like leather. After I asked for the bill I had another 25 minute wait. I’d think twice before staying again

You can walk from Central Station, but it's a little difficult if you have luggage because it's on a hill. It takes 6-7 minutes to get to the bus stop for the airport, so it's safe even early in the morning. The room was clean, had a bathtub, and was comfortable. The classical and calm atmosphere was also nice.

The sleeping rooms in the hotel are going to be renovated starting in January 2023, so everything I have to say may be moot in 6 months or so. Anyway, I attended a conference at the hotel, so this is the only reason I stayed here. The rooms are tired and are definitely in need of renovation. The tubs are crazy deep, so if you are uncomfortable with getting in and out of a tub, be sure to request one of the few rooms with a walk-in shower or a shallower tub. If you’re taller than 5’8”, you’re too tall for the shower and will have to crouch over. The shower gets very, very hot and you have to be careful with the water temperature. We ordered room service several times and were happy with it. Eating the restaurant and bar was another story. The one time we ate in the restaurant was a disaster. We have to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and, when it did, it was cold. Sent it back, and the only thing that was warm when it came back 15 minutes later was the meat. There were very few people in the restaurant, so we couldn’t understand why it took so long. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, namely William who was able to move us to a room that had one of the shallower tubs.

Booked this hotel close to the Hydro and was not disappointed. Met the wonderful Kiara at reception who was so friendly and attentive during our visit. During our evening meal we had the delightful company of Binot and Steven who again were so friendly and attentive. All three names are great ambassadors for the company. Room was on the 10th floor with a great view of Glasgow. The bed was amazing. Housekeeping so friendly. Will be back for sure.

Not great. Room was more than tired - it was exhausted! Grubby carpet, curtain, walls… Cystern had a leak which led to a puddle in the bathroom. I notice the exterior is undergoing a facelift. Maybe they should concentrate on the interior first. I e stayed in better budget hotels if I’m honest. Positives - towels and linen were immaculate and breakfast not too bad. Staff friendly and polite.

Place was way to expensive for the quality. I mean yeah hotels are expensive, but I wouldn’t wana spend more than 50 dollars in this place. That being said, it really wasn’t that bad at all. I’d stay here again for sure if it was the cheapest option again. My opinion is to split the room with a friend. Or make work pay for it. Then it a great room lol.
