"First time staying at this hotel as we try to stay at a different Marriott property when visiting/passing through Charlotte. On this trip, we had an extended stay of 10 nights. Upon arrival, no one was at the front desk but a sign directed you to ring a bell. Safety measures were in place with masks required in all common areas. Plenty of automatic hand sanitizer were positioned at all elevators & throughout the ground floor lobby area, restrooms & exercise room. On a few instances we experienced guests in the breakfast area around the food & beverages co aggregating & walking without masks and even eating while hovering around the food station. Unfortunately, since all front end staff out of sight, nothing was done to eliminate it. The matter was brought to their attention twice but it still continued to occur. Also, the breakfast offerings were very inconsistent from day to day. Several days there was no cereal, oatmeal, yogurt or white milk, only chocolate. Sometimes butter was not put out for bagels and most times plates, plastic utincels or "to go" bags weren't available & had to be asked for. Day staff was scarce for sure. Understand the current environment but don't think/expect a guest has to chase down staff for things that should be taken care of the first time. We had issues with out TV which was brought to their attention the following day. They offered to move us which we declined with the expectation it could be fixed by their maintenance engineer. It could not & they needed to call their 3rd party provider which again we expected/told would happen that day (Saturday). Being a holiday weekend, we assumed it would not occur until Tuesday. We were told a tech was called to fix our TV on Tuesday which didn't happen & only after inquiring we were advised it wouldn't happen until Thursday. On Thursday morning, we were woken by phone call @ 9 am from front desk advising tv tech was there to repair tv. We asked for 30 minutes to get ourselves ready. 10 minutes later, another phone call advising us we were being moved to another room & they would send someone up to help us. No advanced warning...you need to move now. To the staff's credit, on 2 separate instances they extended their apologies & took initiatives to make it up to us. Much appreciated!! Lastly, cleaning services did not occur daily & was done on request only for longer stays. Something they had noted on a sign but not explained @ checkin. Friendly, accommodating staff but lack of proper execution. "
"This is a nice hotel for a quick one nighter or weekend getaway. Modern, simple and relatively easy to navigate to/from nearby shopping such as the Premium Outlets (about 1 exit up). Also convenient to the highways to get to the airport, Ballantyne or downtown Charlotte. As for the rooms, they are okay for 1-2 people and maybe a small child. The couch has a hidden bonus for a family of 3 or 4 --- a trundle or pull out bed (pictured). There is also a wooden bench area near the window, which is nice for putting your bags/suitcases on when in the room (rather than the floor). There are also microwaves in the room and a small area for making coffee/tea. The only gripe I had was the bathroom. The decor is nice, but it is small. Much smaller than it looks on the website. This includes the shower. Lastly, parking is ample in the back and front of the hotel, but the front lot is smaller and fills up quickly on a busy weekend. It is a bit of a walk from the back lot when walking to the lobby. Overall, this is a great hotel at a really good price for a quick 1-3 night stay."
"While my room was very nice and the location is phenomenal, the front desk staff doesn't seem to be knowledgeable or willing to accommodate the issues I've had with this place. For instance, the front doesn't know how to change the rate for my room or the process of allowing me to purchase an item from the market. I was told by the front desk that only the manager could change method of payment from monetary to reward points or I had to charge market items to my room instead of paying with cash. This hotel also doesn't have vending machines, so you HAVE to purchase items from the market place and then the prices are ridiculously gouged! (3.50 for a 20 oz soda!). These details will make me not want to stay here again."
