"I have visited this hotel twice and each time was of poor quality service overall the hotel is decent enough considering the amount of s@%t holes there is round about do I think its worth the price for where it is definitely not everything is an added charge considering you pay over £200 a night seems a joke they charge you for added extras least dick Turpin wore a mask when robbing people although saying that a face mask is just as bad lol room's mint condition as is rest of hotel as its newish bar area ok for what it is service on the other hand very slow and its a bad day you have to prompt the staff for an over priced drink when clearly other people that were in after us got served quicker maybe it was my scottish accent eh breakfast/dinning area decent enough good times for dinner and breakfast we ad a family sat in the restaurant one night wish we hadn't I ordered steak and was the worst over priced steak I've had as for my son's pizza was like rubber had better pizza out of tesco as for breakfast not bad choice but service is poor slow at bringing things out even slower at clearing up trying to eat with a party of 4 with excess plates cups bowls on the table not the best and the car park is not the best either to the hotel ad your under the roller coater alot of water and debris comes off it always check your car for nicks as for the price used to be £5 but the greedy owners put it up to £8 is absolutely shocking seeing as you could pay well over the odds fir ones stay never mind a week or two should be free certain things but if they can squeeze all the money they can out of you thru will as for the £100 breakages they asked fir against the room is scandalous also and don't wait for the money to be released on check out can take upto 5-10 days to get back very poor as they secure it instantly"
"Just come home from a one night stay for my boyfriend's birthday. Lovely hotel, tastefully decorated and great staff - particularly desk/reception staff and one lady who served us for breakfast (hate to say it but an older lady - sorry didn't catch her name) - all super friendly and welcoming. We stayed in an executive room, which was big, spacious and very clean. The only let down was breakfast. The continental options were good (nice toast and pastries), but cooked breakfast was a bit of a let down. I had the veggie sausages, which were super dry. My partner had a cooked breakfast, which he described as average, apart from the scrambled eggs, which were not nice. The only other thing I would class as a con is the price - expensive for a 3 star on a Sunday night - but all in all a good stay and we would go back. In fact, it's probably the only hotel we would stay at in Blackpool."
"We stayed during the end of 2020, when the area was in Tier 3. Our room was lovely, very nice and spacious. The hotel was doing an 'in room' breakfast service where they deliver a breakfast bag to your room consisting of a blueberry or chocolate muffin, an apple or banana, a yoghurt, a croissant, an orange juice, tea/coffee and a hot breakfast roll...with your choice of sausage/bacon/egg or veggie/vegan option. It was nice but I would have loved some more fresh fruit in the bag as felt a bit stodgy. Staff are lovely and friendly, obviously doing the best they can with such a restricted service. Really comfy beds with a huge tv in front of you, such a treat. We had a lovely stay, thank you."

"Firstly - don’t be confused! These reviews don’t differentiate between Mode in St. Anne’s and Mode Lytham. So this is my review of the Lytham hotel. There are plus and minus’s but given that by being in the nice village of Lytham with plenty to do and lots of places to eat (even during covid ) then the focus really is the hotel here. So with mode Lytham it is less like a hotel and more like ‘rooms’ where you can check in and out / come and go without seeing anyone. Pros and cons to this and personally it doesn’t bother me. Just to be clear, the Mode Lytham DOES NOT have a bar / restaurant - it’s quite ambiguous when you read some reviews. St. Anne’s does have a bar. Anyway, check in was a little odd as contrary to what the email said the reception wasn’t manned and we had not had an email informing us of how to pick up the keys. (Which incidentally is via a coded box with the key inside). So we called the number on the door and were given clear and good instructions. So onto the room. I did pay a little more for an upgrade but I wouldn’t recommend it, looking at the map of the rooms you get on the back of the door, it was clear that our room was the smallest or certainly one of the smallest and it is small... so I don’t know what I actually upgraded to if I’m honest. Small rooms are ok, I’ve travelled a lot and spent time in small but very nice and functional rooms, this is not functional sadly. Decor wise it’s white and non offensive, white tiled bathroom etc ; all fine! However the space was so limited (room 106) that to navigate around my self and my partner had to time how and where we moved. Bathroom was a good size though ! The issue really was that there is literally nowhere to put your clothes, some hanging space above the coffee machine (yes that’s right) a very small table with the kettle etc and then a small square table by the window with little to no room to put anything else. Suitcases end up in the way as everything is ‘open’ plan so don’t bring a lot! The black out curtains don’t work - they are hung away from the wall so light comes through all around the edges from sun up. This isn’t an issue for me but is for my partner and as it’s a feature when booking it may be a factor as to why some people book. Noise? Well not from outside ! Great sound proofing but others taking a shower, going in and out and the house service cupboard being opened and closed was very noisy. Cleanliness was very good in the room but the bathroom there were a couple of hairs in the shower and water marks on the floor. 100% not ours. We didn’t get the room cleaned during our stay, though we left the sign on the door after we had left for the first day which was about 11am so I assume unless you catch them when they’re there in the morning it’s too late ~ our bins were overflowing and we ran out of toilet roll 😀had three tissues in the tissue box but fortunately there is a Sainsbury’s across the road. Do you expect to buy your own toilet roll at the"
"I have never stayed at a Mode hotel or visited Lytham before. My first point of reference for the Mode was Anna, and what a lovely speaking and helpful lady she was. My snug room was excellent, clean, modern, bright and cosy. First class shower and facilities, lots of space. Bed very comfy and again facilities first class, the lady that cleaned the rooms was also lovely and helpful with any extra milk, tea etc. For me, I was very impressed and will not hesitate to stay again. Lytham town was a gem and the hotel is perfectly placed. I would totally recommend staying at the Mode and visiting Lytham, I totally enjoyed the experience. I would further add, my review is for Lytham only, I have not visited the St Anne's Mode. For the traveller looking at the Lytham Mode, unlike some more traditional hotels, the approach is via a wide glass door sited between two business address, you then climb a few stairs into the hotel complex which is above the business's. Do NOT let this deter you, the decor and rooms are classy and comfy, its also very quiet. You will not regret choosing to stay at the Mode. However I am not aware of any alternative to accessing this Hotel, so a wheel chair bound person or someone who has difficulty with stairs, this could be an issue. This only refers to the Lytham Mode, if the St Anne's Mode does not have a stairs issue, then I would heartily recommend a stay there, I am sure the standards will be the same and its only a couple of miles down the road. As for Lytham town and sea front itself, its a really lovely place, very flat and will perhaps appeal very much to the older traveller."
"My wife and I stayed at the Mode Lytham for one night 21st September. The check in time was 2pm but we arrived around 12noon as I was concerned about parking. The entrance door was open and the lady at reception told me that our room was ready.Excellent customer service from the outset . The allocated room was beautifully finished and furnished to a high standard with an extremely comfortable bed, stocked espresso machine and various other mod cons. The communications after booking were first class with clear instructions on how to obtain access chechout etc. We parked overnight at the reccomended Diccinson car park on the sea front which is only a two minute walk. The pay and display machines were out of order but we downloaded the app and paid online, simple when you know how 🤔. This hotel is situated in a stunning location surrounded by restaurants , shops and bars. The sun was shining , the outside seating areas were buzzing and it felt like we were in another part of the world. Fantastic stay and looking forward to returning in the not so distant future."

"Fantastic stay here at Premier Blackpool Beach. My wife and I arrived early in Blackpool with intention to enjoy the rest of the day while our rooms were got ready. Ben logged our car as being in the company’s carpark and off we went. We arrived back at 3pm and again the ever efficient Ben checked us in and offered to book our meals up at the nearby Brewers fayre. He was helpful throughout our 2 night stay. Premiers South is a steady 15mins walk to the front, we could see the tower from the premiers carpark. The room was very clean and I do find the standard a cut above its near brand competitors. Bathroom look recently refurbished. Smart TV good quality with WIFI but if you plug in your Fire- stick you have to upgrade the free Wi-Fi to Ultimate, which is extra. We had a meal at the brewer’s next door. It was “OK”….. I suppose on par with what I paid. Staff are the best part as service was very good. Blackpool Illuminations were something else as was the famous Blackpool Tower. We would due to the friendly staff, stay here again at a drop to enjoy this fantastic English seaside town. It was very busy in the town, but we managed to steer clear of hot spots in these trying times and with precautions in place thoroughly enjoy ourselves. I understand Premier is redeveloping an Art deco building in the town centre, I will be watching out for that to try!"
"We decided to book as a last minute trip to Blackpool. The room was plenty big enough, there was 3 of us. King size bed along with a single bed, big enough bathroom with a bath. Check in was very quick and the staff we encountered were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Everywhere was clean and good measures in place to keep safe. The only quibble we had was the bathroom didn't smell very fresh, don't know if it was a drainage smell. As we were there only there for one night, we didn't see the need to report it. I know its no fault of the hotel but the breakfast wasn't that great."
"we stayed here for one night, very large family room, which was great. very clean and tidy. all staff was very friendly. would diff stay again. sleep very well, very comfy bed. we did not have breackfast,so cant say about the breakfast. was able to park the car early, and is free parking which is good. very close to the pleasure beach and south pier."

"Stayed at this hotel for a birthday break. All the usual things that you expect from a premier inn. Great nights sleep etc. One gripe would be that on the Friday afternoon the bar ran out of brandy. They still had none on Sunday night!! When I complained to the barman he shrugged his shoulders and that was it. Whilst in town we passed half a dozen supermarkets. Surely someone could have got some from somewhere"
"Last minute much needed break. Everything spot on! Easy book in, warm welcome, staff throughout friendly & helpful. Room easy to find, spacious & clean. Beds very comfy. Excellent location, perfect for everything really. So good that we booked another short break in a couple of weeks!"
"Great location at a lovely price but only if you book way in advance. My room had an unrestricted view of the car park. Slight negatives were room temperature as heating switched off every 10 minutes and I had to turn it on again. Fire alarm went off - turns out it was a test. A simple sign at Reception or even in rooms would make things easier. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great."

"Just returned from what should have been a 2 night Travel Zoo break. Unfortunately the Coronovirus symptom(s) caught up with our Son whilst he stayed at home so we have to leave prematurely on the 2nd day. We had a great stay Arrived in time for lunch on Day 1 on the Indigo Bar which was excellent - Posh Fish Finger sandwich was perfect, reasonable price and good speedy service. Allowed into room (Room6) early at 2pm which was modern, spacious with excellent bathroom. Enjoyed the leisure/gym facilities and pool which were modern and extensive. Steamroom and Jacuzzi could have been warmer but thats me being a bit picky. Had our evening meal offer in the Atrium which was classy, good atmosphere and the quality of food and service was excellent. Probably had the best smoked haddock and pea rissotto ever. Pricing means you will spend your evening meal allowance but its definitely worth it. We would have eaten here on day 2 if we had stayed. Staff from booking service, reception and throughout the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. We just hope we can avail ourselves for another short break if and when we beat this pesky virus"
"Had a one night stay to watch Elvis Costello at the Blackpool Opera house. On arrival met with excellent friendly reception staff, given a room on the first floor with a sea view, the room was much larger than a normal hotel room and well appointed. Had the opportunity to use the gym and swimming pool, both of which were excellent for a hotel. Had a bar meal which was good value and tasty. On return from the concert the bar was closed, but again opened by the receptionist with nothing too much trouble. On going down for breakfast found the hotel to be full of people in night wear and coats, the hotel had taken in a coach party from a nearby hotel which had been evacuated due to fire and despite the unexpected extra numbers breakfast was plentiful, and it was great to see the hotel doing their best for those displaced from their own hotel. "
"Recently returned from a 2 night break just before the coronavirus outbreak.plenty of hand sanitizer on arrival.check in was quick and efficient.we were allocated 261 on arrival which was very spacious and comfortable but quite a trek from reception and a view overlooking the atrium restaurant.we decided to ask for a upgrade for a sea facing view luckily after a short while we were given room 156 which was worth the extra supplement.again even more spacious with a large balcony with great views.we only booked room only so cannot comment on the food options.plenty of parking although out of season.Would love to revisit when the current pandemic is over."

98 Lord Street, Southport, Merseyside, United Kingdom
"Stayed last night following a voucher buy in December and having stayed before no real surprises but this hotel continues to demonstrate class in both the rooms and restaurant. Staff very helpful and smartly attired and restaurant is a fabulous location to either eat while staying there or take lunch if shopping on Lord Street although this is more of a limiting experience now than in the past! I would highly recommend this hotel who are also fully aligned with current necessary precautions regarding the ongoing health alert."
"Upon arrival we were given a room upgrade giving us a great view over Lord Street. Autumn in Southport is pretty. The room itself, as the hotel is, is contemporary and smart. Good full English breakfast served fresh and hot to the table. We had two lunches, one a family occasion and food and service were both impeccable. (Special mention to Angie and Jack who both seemed to be everywhere all of the time!) We had absolutely no complaints, and thank you to the management for the complementaries."
"Stayed over as a last minute decision and glad we did, fortunate to receive an upgrade on the room. The room was clean and comfy, very large bed. The bathroom was very smart, getting in the shower was fine for ourselves but the step up and high sided bath may be a struggle for others. We also ate in the restaurant, hummus nibbles, prawns/Camembert for starters, sirloin steak and garlic chicken for main was really nice. Cosy bar upstairs, did seem more for an older crowd. "

318-328 Clifton Drive North, Saint Anne's on the Sea, Lancashire, United Kingdom
"I almost don’t need to write a review as we had almost a carbon copy experience Becky R did further down the reviews. Initially put in room 311 – lift not working, room small, oddly shaped - double bed pushed up against the wall so could only access from one side in a very tight room, strange small waiting room type lounge and no blinds – looking straight over building works and a cherry picker) not particularly inviting and felt very cramped and looked over. moved to room 404 – ground floor, lovely apartment, nice lounge/kitchen, comfy bed absolutely no complaints and really enjoyed our stay – at that point felt on the money for what we paid. Was school holidays but the level of kids shouting and screaming was atrocious - one kid (and we aren’t taking babies) was screaming and shouting for over an hour on a off (apparently he didn’t want a shower, lots of shouting door slamming etc can’t blame the hotel for inconsiderate, self-absorbed parents). However, the lack of sound deadening and soft door closures did seem to make the problem worse. We also didn’t get to use the pool (which looked nice) as it was already fully booked for both days of our stay when we arrived (they are doing a 45 min single group reservation process due to Covid) somewhat annoying and worth booking a slot beforehand if you want to use the pool. On the good side – parking very handy and its ideally placed to the centre and staff all very pleasant and helpful and put us in different room no fuss."
"My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to allow us to explore the local area and visit local attractions and for that reason the Hy Hotel seemed a good choice. Externally this property looks promising and the location and parking is good although we did awake to find our parking space also doubled as a bin store. Initially we were allocated room 311 and told it was at the top of the property. We soon discovered the lift was out of order but were offered no assistance with our suitcases. On arrival at room 311 we found the blinds broken and cords snapped and so the room was dark and the blinds unable to be used. A broken hook was left with the screws in on the tiny dining table. The “sofa” was so uncomfortable and it felt like you were in a waiting room. The whole place smelled damp and the when lifting the blinds to see what was on the other side you have to question whether this was why it had been broken as we overlooked unfinished apartments and general building rubbish. My husband went to reception and asked if they had any other available rooms. To our surprise they had a large ground floor apartment free which overlooked the park in block 4 which they instantly swapped us into. I am unsure why you would not allocate this from the start and can only assume it was due to our booking being through a Travelzoo deal. The second apartment whilst appearing much better had its own issues but was a vast improvement on the first. There was more space, comfier seating and at least we could shut the curtains and blinds. However this is not five star accommodation. The finish is appalling and the logic behind the interior design confusing and impractical. Why have a mirror adjacent to a dressing table so that you have to sit sideways?! Wall lights that look similar but don’t match with different style and colour bulbs. A bathroom shelf that fills with water and doesn’t drain. A kitchen with washing up liquid but no cloth to clean with. No tea or coffee. Towels that smell damp and furniture covered in dust. A stench of drains in the bathroom. Tv cables dangling from wall mounted TVs. The biggest annoyance was the doors throughout the building. None are sealed well or have soft close fixtures and so the banging of doors resonates through the building. The droughts blowing under gaps in the door make it very chilly and you can hear literally every word as people walk through the hallway. For all of these reasons we would not stay here again. The staff at the Hy Hotel however are polite and obliging and the pool was lovely. The booking system was great and worked well. The location is good for St Anne’s and Blackpool and traffic noise is surprisingly minimal. "
"These apartments are modern and stylish (no chintz or ratty old florals in sight). Our apartment was clean and warm and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well- equipped and sufficient for a short stay and the supermarkets, pier and town were a few minutes walk. There is also a park across the road. The pool was also lovely and the time-slot booking system meant we had it to ourselves which was great. All in all it was very good value and suited us for a stay with two small children. We would definitely stay here again. Just a couple of things to note: Firstly, it can be a bit noisy (banging doors and people moving around above). This is not unusual for apartments but if you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for rooms on the top floor. Secondly, there’s not much storage or hanging space. This isn’t a big problem if you’re only there for a day or two and we mentioned it to the staff so hopefully this will be rectified. "

"From the moment we pulled up outside the hotel and saw the welcoming light of the twinkling lights across the front of it , we knew we were going to like it. This hotel felt like home from home on a cold and windy January day. We were so lucky to get an upgrade to the Queen Victoria suite which is a gorgeous, chic room at the front of the hotel with a four poster bed and sea views . Who could ask for more? Well the breakfast ticked more boxes. It was tasty and plenty of it. Kind, knowledgeable staff who obviously care about their hotel served us and made our stay complete. Would definitely go back."
"My partner treated me to a Valentine's Day breakfast, so I chose the Queen's because of the promenade location. We were given a friendly welcome. There was a good choice if breakfast goodies on the menu including bacon butties, with a difference. We opted for the Queen's full English breakfast, and were not disappointed: sausage, bacon, two eggs, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms & toast. We couldn't move after eating all that. This isn't the cheapest place for breakfast, but excellent quality."
"Visited the Queens for lunch. Loved the ambiance and the staff were lovely. Alas the food didn't quite reach the same standards. None of us liked the great big undercooked chunky chips (OK maybe we should have ordered fries) and the prawn sandwich on 'focaccia' deliberately chosen so my 88 year old mum, whose birthday it was, could eat it, arrived in a big brioche burger bun, so she struggled and left most of it. Only had one pint (driving) but it was a stunningly good Wainwrights and the wine was ok, so certainly willing to try again and hope to do so soon."

"What a lovely hotel this is. I’ve stayed here many times but hadn’t been for about 18 months. On my return this week the lovely staff still remembered me, and went above and beyond to make my stay the best it could be. Tracy and Pauline who work on reception are really lovely, and so nice to chat to. Nothing was too much trouble. I was offered extra pillows and towels if I needed them and they told me to help myself to tea bags and milk. This hotel is spotless, rooms are big and the beds are so comfy. I’d have checked out with the mattress if I could have dragged it down the stairs! I’m looking forward to my next visit which will hopefully be very soon! Chris Hewitt"
"We arrived around 9pm for check in as we took our children to see the lights. Upon arrival there was a warm welcome by one of the members of staff. She was very polite and told us where we needed to be etc. Once we got to our room it was very clean. Beds lovely and soft and everything in working order. Only reason for the 4 stars was it was extremely hot in the room during the night that it woke me. There was a fan right next to the children, but didn't want to keep them awake all night as it was rather loud when it was put on. We didn't have the breakfast on offer as we made other arrangements elsewhere for that in the morning. Overall id stay again if we were to come back, it was a lovely cosy room and just a round comfortable which is just what you need after a long walk around Blackpool."
"Arrived before 2.00pm on our arrival date, was allowed to check in witb no issues at all, didn't catch the name of the lady on reception but she was absolutely lovely, we stayed here 2 years ago and i remembered her from then, an absolute credit to the company. Room spotless, shower was really powerful. Location of the hotel is brilliant for people without their own transport, bus stops few moments walk away, Starr Gate tram stop 5 minutes away. With Morrisons and Lidl within walking distance. All staff we spoke to were brilliant nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
