MCBR is an exquisite hotel in an almost perfect location. 98% of the experience was A+ and what was not can easily be addressed. Location: It is actually in Roquebrun Cap Martin, France, not Monaco. To reach the center of Monaco, you can easily: (1) walk to the center of Monaco (e.g. the ******) right down Ave Princess Grace in about 20 minutes; (2) take the public bus which stops / picks up about a 7 minute walk away in front of the MC Bay Resort hotel nearby; or (3) take the free hotel shuttle, which runs from 9 am to 6:20 pm, to the Hotel Hermitage right at the Grand ******. One reason we chose this hotelw was the easy access to the coastal walking path, which was closed when we were there which was terribly disappointing. However, you can easily walk from the MCBH to anywhere in Monaco. One highlight is the evening view from the room's terrace of the lights of Monaco - the Grand ******, the palace, and all of the glittering high rises and mega yachts - across the water. On a moonlit night, sitting on your terrace wtih this view is magnifique! Hotel + Wonderful, beautiful, great views + Has large pool and beach, which has a separate entrance for the public from the parking lot. Not free. Cabana rentals are very pricey ( E50 - 100 / day) but are large and come with white tablecloth covered tables and cabana service. -- very small gym. + access to the huge Monaco Thermal Spa complex at the sister Hermitage Hotel by the Grand ******, which has a small but ok gym with an incredible view of the marina and palace. It can be awkward to find, though - enter the Hermitage (a gracious 5 star), go straight back and to the left and down a hallway; then take the little elevator on the right down to the Thermal Matin Spa. We felt incredibly awkward dressed in gym attire among all of the chic people in the hotel. =/- if you don't have a car, you need to take the bus or a taxi to / from town in the evening as the shuttle stops at 6:20 pm. It also does not wait at the little stop in front of the hotel driveway. Restaurants Elsa - very expensive. Breakfast was 42 euros and not that great, although the beignets were good. Nice views. Loved the view from the room and rooftop! Me and my bf stayed for 3 nights last week. Was amazing! All the staff were very kind and helpful. The most enjoyable part was the view while we were having breakfast at the top floor. Breakfast buffet was ok and they serving dinner in the same room as well.

The room is larger than I thought. Hotel staff are kind. Breakfast is pretty good. Ideal for business and sightseeing alone.
