"I've never felt so welcome at a hotel with the company present. I had my fiancee and 2 dogs with me, neither is a small breed, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating. They had hardwood floors on the first floor, an entire floor just for pet friendly rooms! We had just done a whole day of hiking, so the dogs went right to sleep. We were able to enjoy the heated indoor pool with a HUGE slide, and relax in a nice big hot tub. Perfect after all the road traveling and hiking. The most impressive part was definitely Claire, our front desk help for the evening. She was so sweet and accommodating with our needs, and the dogs loved her too. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends who like to travel hgwy 70 during ski season. We had a great time! Thanks again Claire!"
"We stayed here in July 2020 during COVID and they did a great job. The pool reservation system was good to limit people but there were kids running up the slide for over an hour that was not addressed and some kids it was clear did not have parents. The front desk staff was nice and helpful with anything we needed. The last time we stayed here we stayed in a Suite and I will tell you this is the only way to go. There is some serious updating that can be done at the hotel. The remote to the TV partially worked but for most of it you had to change it on the TV. The front desk was called and she brought batteries and a guide on troubleshooting but could not get it to work. She tried her hardest but also did not bring a remote that worked. Oh well. Next time we will most likely try a different hotel."
"We stayed one night here in mid-October with our kids ages 6-13 and they had a great time. We had a room with a bunk bed, and the kids had a lot of fun time in the pool with the water slide. It was a clean, safe, quiet hotel with comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again. In the morning while checking out, the kids also played with the Wii in the ground level. We also spent the day at the hot springs, which was a great experience and very relaxing. Only complaint was that the blinking light on the smoke detector was a too bright once the lights were turned out."

"Breakfast is a popular American breakfast, very good. The booked two bedroom room was very good and very satisfying. Clean and tidy, the room is large, and most like the suite with kitchen, so residence inn is the most economical and comfortable family tour option in the United States. Then Colorado must come, especially good places. As far as hotels are concerned, Ctrip prices are cheaper than some foreign apps. Would be preferred."

"We stayed one night in late July. I picked a Marriott property due to what I believed were exacting cleaning protocols as stated on their website. I had to ask for extra towels as there were only two in the three-person room. We were in for a gross surprise. We had booked a king room with a pullout sofa. I had to retrieve the bedding for the sofa bed from the front desk. We didn’t make the bed up until later, and discovered large wine stains (?) on the mattress cover as well as the mattress! I went to the front desk, handed the clerk the nasty mattress cover, and explained that the mattress was stained and unclean as well. I asked for another room, or at least another mattress for the sofa bed, and the desk clerk stated that they were sold out and had no replacement for the soiled mattress. I asked if the sister property next door had any rooms, and was told that they were sold out as well. As it was so late, we opted to just stay, but never again. Marriott just lost a rewards member. There was no breakfast of any sort either, not even grab n’ go. I do not recommend this property at all."
"Newer than any other hotel in the area. Being an area native who enjoys checking out local accommodations I am very pleased with my experience here. Front desk staff is great and checkin is way to easy. Rooms are very well appointed, quiet and have great views. Parking accommodates vehicles of all sizes and the hotel is close to some great local restaurants in the Glenwood Meadows area. I highly recommend this clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel. "
"Away from the busy downtown area in a quieter area. Still close to shops and restaurants and easy access to the interstate. Good base for day trips for hiking and other outdoor activities. Clean hotel with the basics."

"The hotel room is still relatively large, we have put so many boxes on the open booth, the health is not bad, the waiter service is warm, the hotel gym laundry room is based on the room card, the swimming pool has a massage pool, but there is no time to play, breakfast is also Yes, you can bake your own muffins, and then there is a free coffee bar and fruit snacks on the first floor. I am very satisfied."

"This is the best Holiday Inn Express we've ever stayed at. The hotel is in a wonderful position right on the Colorado River - relaxing back on the spacious balcony with a bottle of wine whilst the river rolled passed below really has been one of the highlights of our roadtrip. Our stay got off to a great start with a super warm welcome from Debbie on the front desk who could not have done more to help us - such a sweetheart who chatted away to us, gave us invaluable tips and went out of her way to check in on us every time we saw her. We couldn't have felt more welcomed. The rooms are really well appointed, comfortable and clean, and if you can stretch to a suite with a balcony, DO IT! That experience alone is enough to recommend this gorgeous hotel. Breakfast is also good and we were pleased with the variety and quality. The team worked really hard to keep everything topped up and tidy, and the tables clear. And if we weren't sad enough to be moving on from such a wonderful hotel, Debbie popped into the breakfast room to say good morning and ask how we slept and what we had planned for the day. She's an absolute star and we were so sad to be leaving after just one night - next time we're in Colorado, we'll be with you for more than just one! Thanks again everyone The Taylor family From 'just south of London, England' "
"This is a nice hotel with a convenient location. The rooms on the back, or South, side of the building overlook the Colorado River. Staff was great however the room was average. I listened to my neighbors' snoring and TV all night (walls are not at all sound dampening) and didn't get much sleep at all. To get cold water out of the bathroom faucet I ended up having to go under the vanity and manually turn off the hot water. The shower handle just spun around in circles and only one precise spot provided warm water. Some of the repairs made in the room are sub-par for a Holiday Inn with the granite shelves reinstalled at screwy angles and messy caulking around the outside of the shower. Other than that, the room was clean - I will give them credit there. My only other complaint is that I stay at more affordable hotels that provide much larger TV's in the room. 32" used to be the luxury standard, but it's time to upgrade guys."
"We stayed here on a family holiday. I didn't know it had a view of the Colorado River and a balcony when I booked the room we were pleasantly surprised when we got there it was beautiful at night watching the moon on the river it was beautiful in the morning while we ate our breakfast. The guest bathrooms were very clean and well cared for. Breakfast was perfect. Hotel Staff was great. I didn't want to leave the balcony."

"We stayed 5 nights at the Lodge at New Castle. And it was great, The hotel is nearly on the arm of the highway, very convenient, specially when it snows. Our car was parked on the free parking and we could see it from our window. The hotel was quiet and so very clean, I want to emphasize : everything was spotless. The room got cleaned everyday, clean towels placed in our bathroom The bath or shower was a pleasure as the warm water came on as soon as turned on. I enjoy hot water, and I can tell you it was hot. Naturally one could regulate it to ones wishes. Breakfast was a help yourself in the breakfast room, hard boiled eggs, cheese, youghurt, bread, waffel maker, cereal, coffee tea chocolate. It all was there plentifully. oh and last but not least, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool and jaccuzi, As I said I do not like cold water. The pool was just at right temperature and the jaccuzi was at normal temperature too. The pool room is well heated and on can relax on a long chair without being cold. Our stay was reasonable and well worth while. We look forward to our next stay at the Lodge in New Castle."
"My stay at The Lodge at New Castle has been wonderful. The staff is very friendly (shout out to Anna the manager), the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is nice and quiet. I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru the area. Most hotels have shabby thin towels, but not The Lodge, their towels are large and fluffy. The bed is soooo soft and comforting. The complimentary coffee and breakfast are awesome. So if you are traveling thru Colorado on the I-70, be sure to rest your weary bones at The Lodge at New Castle."
"I only spent one night there and it meets the needs of a tired traveling person who is looking for a good night of sleep. Clean, easy to get to and comfortable, what else would you need to get 5 dots here? Thank you Gessi, it was nice chatting with you that evening."

2650 Gilstrap Court, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, United States
"I stopped here on a cross country drive after a long day and unlike usual did not get to enjoy the town. The quality in is a couple miles down 70 from the springs and is not really in walking distance of any tourist things. The staff was ok and got me to my room quickly which was on the second floor. The room was old and most everything was warn and dated. The safe required a key and was not even a digital combo. The single king room though had a bar kitchenette area which I’m sure would be useful if you were staying for a longer period of time. The bed was comfortable and appeared clean so I can’t complain. The hotel does have a hot tub which was moderately hot but did work. Out the back there is a nice view of the river! One thing is the hotel seems stingy on parking and you will be charged for two vehicles. Overall for the $70 or so a night I paid it was good."
"I was very happy with my recent stay at this property. Most important to me is the bed and it was very comfortable. The kitchenette was a pleasant surprise, although I didn't have time to fully use it. The location is great and in a quiet setting. The staff was excellent helping with dinner suggestions and directions and also professional and courteous. If you like live piano or instrumental music I highly recommend the Riviera Supper Club."
"We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past years. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in and out was easy. The breakfast was fine and the room was for the most part quiet but the hotel is in need of improvements. The furniture in the room was showing a lot of age and wear. The little refrigator made a heck of a loud noise that we needed to unplug it in order to sleep. The bathtub dripped water all night. This could be a great hotel again if the owners would invest in upgrades and maintainance. Until that happens I don't think we will be back."

"Very nice place to stay. Enjoyed our overnight visit. Only thing is that they don't have anywhere to hang clothing and coats. We had to throw our winter coats on the chair. Should have a wall hanging bar. Otherwise, the continental breakfast was good. Probably should have a better way to disperse the waffle batter... like a machine that can poor into a cup rather than a ladle that is a bit messy. The room was comfortable and warm even with sub freezing temps and we didn't have the wall heater on."
"The Room was clean and fresh, slept well, nice customer service and they have loads of channels on Direct TV. We were pretty exhausted and it was perfect for one night on the road. It also had a four cup coffee maker. Older property but well kept and the a/c worked well. It is an exterior open room, too. "
"NO-SMOKING!! LIE! I don’t need fancy places but I do expect a non smoking place when it’s advertised or I simply move on and look elsewhere but I booked on line! When you walk in the front doors the rooms to the left STINK BAD! Mr. Lynn said it’s because of the smokers who go outside and come back in. SMOKER or non smoker you know the difference! Nasty 🤢 I feel like my room was booked on the right side of the bld but Mr. Lynn moves us because my original rooms were not ready yet- we got there at 2:45 and check in time was 3 he said he didn’t know what time the rooms would be ready! Customer service sucks-BAD! After we went to our rooms I had to go back and tell him it smells bad like cigarette smoke and he didn’t do it with great service but he did end up moving us to the right side of the building! We will not ever go back and if you are not a smoker and don’t like to be around it don’t stay here. Not a happy camper 😡 and one of towels was dirty... and the one of the lady workers stood right at the front door smoking her cigarette! I am not over exaggerating. Nothing good about this place not even the price for what received ☹️ was good! And the pic that are posted are not accurate of the lobby area."

"We searched for a hotel while driving and decided to stay in this basic roadside hotel catering to travellers. Parking is limited but it is close to highway. The interior does not provide much confident, as the stairs creak as you walk on it and the carpet look pretty worn out. The room itself is very large, but one can see the ceiling paint peeling off. It does have fridge, microwave and usually toiletries. There was also very limited plug-in by bedsides. We did have a surprising good night sleep as the small air conditioner was very effective and easier to adjust than the larger ones usually found in other hotels. Breakfast, however, was dismal. Two type of pastries, two type of cereals, two types of fruits. They did not refill anything at 0830. It is not bad for the price and short stay, just keep expectation low."
"Red River Inn is just off the highway and easy to get to. Check in was easy and the room was very good. Stay on the second floor as it's true for all hotels, people above you may have heavy feet. Room was clean and the beds very comfortable. People are very friendly. Morning cereal and pastries filled up this traveller."
