Marine Road West, Morecambe, Lancashire, United Kingdom
"Stayed for 2 nights in large room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay. This was a lovely room but at nearly £300 per night could do with a bit of freshening up. The free mini bar was a nice additional touch but I was disappointed it was not fully re stocked daily the room cost the same each night. I was told it would be re stocked every other day I really couldn’t understand why you would get less on night 2 than night 1. The restaurant and food both breakfast and evening meal was very good but again I was disappointed when I kept being shown to rear tables when there were clearly empty window tables with a lovely view. When I refused the table I was immediately given a window seat. Why would anyone want to look at someone else’s head when they can look at the bay. All staff were very good and dealt with any issues immediately and professionally. Lots of nice places nearby to visit"
"I wanted to give 5 stars and do so for the staff, everyone was professional and helpful, fabulous food, ambience and beautiful surroundings. I’ve knocked one off because of the bathroom design. There was no thought, in my opinion, to anyone, young or old, who needs to go to the bathroom during the night. The bathroom light switch is in the bedroom, so when you push open the extremely heavy door the lights shine straight onto the bed head, and your sleeping partner. Closing the door when inside so you can use the loo made me feel very claustrophobic. Lots of positives though, and extra touches in the room made it an enjoyable stay. I would have to ask if there are any different shower room designs though to stay again. "
"Great location. This is a 'proper' hotel and succeeding very well with present govt. restrictions re 'face, space and cleanliness.' The restaurant is superb and the meals we enjoyed were to a consistently high standard. The breakfast also was exceptional. We had a sea view room which was very well appointed and comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definitely continue to be regular visitors, as we have over a few years now."

Green Lane, Ellel, Scotforth, Lancaster District, Lancashire, United Kingdom
"The building is a typical English-style hotel with a fireplace in the lobby. The internal environment is very good and quiet. The room facilities are average, but the bathroom and bed linen are relatively clean. I pay special attention to this evaluation in my hotel. The hotel is located inside Lancaster University. It should be the first choice for parents who send their children to study. There is free parking. It would be more desirable if the price could be cheaper."
"The environment is good, comfortable and the facilities are good! It is the hotel of Lancaster University. Most of the residents are parents, either sending children to school or attending a child's graduation ceremony. Free parking, the gates leading to the campus will be closed, and the vehicles entering the university campus will be around the main entrance of the university, a little far away, but people can enter."
"The hotel is located behind Lancaster University, in a large lawn, it is convenient to go to school, the hotel facilities are a bit old but very clean, the room is big, the English style, the restaurant, the accommodation is more comfortable"

"Stayed at this property before so returned but this time my stay was a complete nightmare. I was woken at 11.30 to the noise of a gypsy family screaming and fighting right outside my door. I was absolutely petrified. I was too scared to come out my room and had no way of contacting reception as a number to get hold of them is not provided, you just have to go down in person and ring a bell as there might be no one there. I googled and could only find a 0333 switchboard number which wouldnt of been any use. I was about to call the police but the shouting transferred to outside my window so I looked out and saw a police van & car so thank god someone had called for help. It took me a while to relax, I am a female travelling alone so the experience was unpleasant. When I finally did manage to rest I was woken by the sound of loud snoring above me. The rooms seem to be really thin, there was noise from the pub car park constantly too. I would definitely ask for a room on the other side, I was right over the entrance door so in the worst place for noise I suppose. There is no air con here and the rooms are boiling. I did complain to the lady on reception in the morning who apologised but never mentioned anything about the goodnight guarantee so I just left it as I wanted to get out of there asap. I do feel I should of got my money back under the circumstances but no offer was made. I was due to meet my husband and little boy at the adjoining onsite restaurant but I rang them and told them not to come as I was worried the said family would be in there & did not want my little boy around that language and violence. "
"Comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Good shower, and facilities in the room. Good facilities and glad I opted for a breakfast. Fresh food and good service even at 6.30am. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others "
"Room very good as we have usually found. Comfortable bed. Usual facilities. Sadly sleep was spoilt by another guest in the room above ours constantly walking about throughout the night. We use premier inn a lot and this is the first time we have had our sleep disturbed. I know there isn’t a lot than the hotel can do about that. It was just a nuisance. "

"I visited for lunch with my husband, son and dog. We didn’t book in advance but were seated quickly despite the pub being busy. The staff were all friendly and efficient, Laura looked after us and was great! The food was tasty, we ordered fish and chips, a child’s fish and chips and a burger. My son also enjoyed sticky toffee pudding from the children’s menu. We will definitely visit again when walking in the area. "
"We can honestly say it’s been the nicest place we’ve ever stayed at! "Wonderful family run hotel and a great pub restaurant. I stayed here twice and I will definitely come again and again. Caroline and Richard are great hosts. While running the hotel smoothly they also make you feel special with their welcoming and friendly manner. Stuff are all lovely and professional. Special thanks go to Shelley and Lea for their warm conversations. I stayed here on my own as I was doing my diving courses but I never felt alone. Rooms are warm, spacious, comfortable and clean. There is TV and kettle in the room which i found helpful after a long day diving. Breakfast is huge and dinners are yummy. Dinner menu is so good that it is difficult to choose among delicious dishes. I would particularly recommend the chicken, leek and tarragon pie and also the chickpea and spinach burger. Last but not least I must admit I was very satisfied with their Covid-19 set up. They are ultimately professional and the restaurant is very nicely spaced - this made me feel very safe during my stay. I would recommend this place very highly. "
"Last week my wife and I stayed at the Silverdale Hotel for 4 nights on a visit to the area. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to room 5 which we had chosen because it has an excellent, walk-in shower. The room is small but we had been told that this was the case when arranging the reservation. It was immaculately clean and was well maintained in that way throughout our stay. The bar is well stocked with decent wines and a good selection of real ales which are kept really well by Alan . The bar was always busy in the evenings and the local people made us feel welcome into their pub. The food at breakfast was freshly cooked as were the evening meals which include genuine, homemade pies! I have to say a word about the staff who are, every one, friendly and warm even at the busiest of times, and they were very busy a lot of the time. We would recommend the Silverdale Hotel to anyone visiting the area and we will certainly be going back there. "
"My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in room 2 last Tuesday and Wednesday. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. What a fantastic hotel set in beautiful surroundings. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us albeit always sticking to strict Covid guidelines which we found very reassuring. As well as the breakfasts we had lunch and dinner at the hotel. The food was outstanding, was very tasty, well presented and the quality of the locally sourced ingredients was first class. Our room was spotless, very well equipped and comfortable and our overall enjoyable experience was a credit to the owners and all their staff. We have already recommended the Silverdale Hotel to our family and friends. We will definitely be back for another visit. Many thanks,,,,,,,Colin and Gill."

"Amazing food, lovely location, very clean and modern. We enjoyed a delicious family meal, the staff were obviously very stretched, but that didn't stop them providing excellent service. Well done. We would definitely recommend this pub to others looking for a hearty, home cooked meal."
"We had a lovely evening meal. Three of us ate for about £100 including 3 courses, drinks and a bottle of wine. The food was good the service good and it seemed Covid secure. Would particularly ecommend the potted shrimp starter. We will definitely return."

"This is the second time that aI have visited the Royal Station Hotel in Carnforth for afternoon tea and I was not disappointed. I had bought my friend a voucher for her birthday and I was really hoping that she would choose me to accompany her for afternoon tea which thankfully she did. We had ample sandwiches, cakes, scones and a lemon type sorbet each and I also had two Lattes. Everything was delicious and we even took some home in a doggy bag because we couldn’t eat everything. The owners (whom I think are a family) have really transformed this hotel and have spent a fortune on it over the years. The toilets used to be upstairs but they have built new ones downstairs and the owner told me that they are going to put in a lift to the upstairs ballroom leading on to the new outdoor Terrance and the bedrooms. This hotel is such an asset to Carnforth and I look forward to visiting it again."
"A friend and I had an excellent short holiday whilst staying in this very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The and the rooms are large and have been recently upgraded to a very high standard with more than a hint of Victorian grandeur about them. The food was also excellent when we ate there in the evenings. There have obviously been big improvements over the last few years and work is still underway to improve other areas such as reception. Although Carnforth is not a tourist town we enjoyed a number of walks and visits to the very attractive Silverdale area which is only 13 minutes drive away. The RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss is also only a short journey in the car. Although the hotel does not have a car park there was plenty of street parking available close by. Definitely a place worth visiting."
"Karan was extremely welcoming and very lovely throughout our meal. Very impressed with his knowledge surrounding the menu etc, very professional and definitely put a smile on all our faces. I’m sure we’ll return in the near future"
