Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is located in the hot spring resort estate on the outskirts of Hanamaki City. There are a total of three hot spring hotels here, and Ka Shuen is the latest and most advanced.     The building is very beautiful and corresponds to the surrounding mountains. After breakfast, take a walk in the mountain park around the hotel, even at the end of July. Under the small waterfall, foreign children are playing in the water, and there are signs and bells of the police bears along the way. Really the original ecology.     Because we arrived late, we only chose the hotel's breakfast. The breakfast is quite satisfactory, almost the same as the price of a Japanese-style hotel. It is recommended that everyone book a breakfast and dinner together when ordering a room. If you do not make a reservation, it seems that you can only go to the restaurant next door, although it is also a family. But it is very troublesome.     The hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms are spacious. The hot spring is a hydrogen carbonate spring, the spring is clear, and the bathhouse equipment is readily available. Plus, so I went to soak in the morning and evening. I don't know if it was accumulated in Japan after a few days of hot springs, or it was particularly effective in this hot spring. I found that the acne and small particles on the back were gone, smooth and silky.     At the entrance to the hot spring manor, I saw a drug store, if you are interested, you can go and see.     I feel very comfortable here for a holiday and a relaxing weekend. It will take 3 hours to fly from Shanghai.     Finally, the hotel is a 20-minute drive from Hanamaki Airport, and the Hanamaki Airport is only 2 small souvenir shops. Therefore, it is recommended that people who go to the Hanamaki Airport should be one and a half hours in advance.     Ps. The staff of the hotel is very low in English and it is quite troublesome.

Visited in March 2023 for a family event, and didn't book this hotel myself so wasn't sure to expect. But.. wow! One of my favourite visits to a ryokan in Japan. First and foremost, the staff were all kind and extremely friendly. Particularly the lady who served us our wonderful kaiseki meal in a stunning huge private dining area. We ate in the same room the following morning for breakfast, which was equally delicious, and once more the staff were lovely. Enjoyed the coffee service sitting in the lobby before we left, so relaxing. We stayed in a comfortable and large Japanese style room with futons, the bedroom was very good. Most of all I think the location and ambience of this hotel makes it one of my favourites. There's a wonderful courtyard-esque area near the lobby with a stunning view, and it appeared to have large lanterns that are likely lit during the evening time (I didn't see this myself). Overall, this place makes for a great experience in Iwate and the staff and food are A***.

I stayed in a room on the 3rd floor using the goto campaign. The room was a Japanese style room with 6 tatami mats and 2 beds, so I felt a little cramped. But I think it would be a relaxing space for the two of us. The open-air bath in the room was free-flowing, and the water temperature was hot, so the cold outside was pleasant. There is also a shower room next door. The amenities in the room were Omnisans. Drinks in the refrigerator in the room were free. There were two bottles each of canned beer, canned shochu high, 500 plastic bottled tea, and mineral water. The food in the private dining room was delicious. For the main, I chose steak and abalone one by one. Ginga no Shizuku's new rice was sticky and very delicious. The public bath is not very big, but there is also an open-air bath, and since the men's and women's baths are switched at night and in the morning, we were able to enter two types. You can also use the large public bath at the neighboring Hotel Shidodaira, which is a sister hotel. I didn't go, but my husband said that the sauna in the public bath there was good. Many of the staff were young and everyone was very nice. The wording is in the past tense and I felt a sense of incongruity at first, but it seems to be a dialect of Iwate. Hot springs, meals, very satisfying ryokan.

There is a shuttle bus from Hanamaki Railway Station to the hotel free of charge, which is very convenient. Our room is equipped with a private outdoor bath, soaking in the hot spring on the balcony at night, and watching the stars, not to mention more comfortable. In addition to the beautiful natural environment around, the thoughtful and meticulous service, the various products in the room gave us a big surprise: the bedding is a goose down quilt, which is loose and soft; there are two types of bathrobes for men and women, and each type is available. Equipped with three sizes of small, medium and large; the cold-proof shawl is actually RalphLauren's! The breakfast is very rich and definitely worth recommending!

I heard that the quality of the hot springs at Dai Onsen, which I hadn't visited yet, was good, but that was true. I stayed in a room with a bath that flows directly from the source, so I was very happy to be able to enter many times until the check-out time at 11:00. The skin has become smooth. I enjoyed my meal in a private room both morning and evening. I think the quality and quantity were good. This time I was able to relax without meeting other customers. Recommended for those who want to stay like this.

I was a little surprised to be in the room such as beetles and crickets because it was in the mountains. It was a little disappointing that there was a spider nest in the room in the Irofuri, and the garbage on the floor was in the same state from the whole day. In addition, there were no appearances of ventilation during the meal, and many people were chatting normally without masks. I felt a little uneasy because there was no partition. The lighting in the facility and the room (especially the toilet) was too dark and I felt inconvenient. The hot spring was very good and the quality of the spring was very good. There is only one bathroom in the bathroom, so if several people overlap, you will wait. The meal was really exquisite. I feel like I keep the quality of my stay only by eating.

In the natural environment surrounded by mountains and forests, the clear stream behind the inn flows gurgling, healing the body and mind. It is fun to enjoy each of the four hot springs that flow directly from the source, but we especially recommend the deepest hot spring in Japan. This is a self-propelled natural rock bath ”Shirasaru no Yu”. This is a very rare hot spring. Due to its depth, you can stand up to enter, but it is evenly distributed throughout your body. It is said that applying hot water pressure can effectively promote blood circulation. The hall also has a nostalgic atmosphere, as if traveling to the past. The hospitality of the staff is also very attentive. If you have the opportunity to stay in Hanamaki, it is a hotel worth staying in.

There were inn department and Yuji department, both of which stayed. Only the bath was good. The Yuji department is old and very dirty in the whole building. Because it is a Yuji department, it is okay to know that it is old. The only problem was that it was not cleaned and it was really dirty. There were many things like the thread of the spider's nest made of dust from the ceiling of the room I stayed in, and I was swaying in the gap wind. Are you eating here? The joint bathroom is old. However, there are many dirty things that can be wiped, or a bathroom that has been dirty like a proof that has been cleaning for many years, and a dirty mat like garbage? It was too dirty to brush teeth or wash face. The joint toilet also had two Japanese style, Western style 2, but Western style 1, black and wet cloth? Matt? It is left on the floor and cannot be used (maybe an emergency treatment for leaking water or leaking rain?). There was a spider's nest and a thread made of dust everywhere in the building, and I really felt down. The corner of the corridor is a storage and there are many rooms that are not used. The stairs to the third floor are closed and the third floor is dark. Every time you see, you will be zoomed, so don't look as much as possible. Maybe the Yuji department is a good area where employees do not have to manage cleaning? Do customers have to clean and manage? It was really in a state of relaxation. Old is good. But I don't like dirty. I want you to clean it a little more than taking money and staying at the customer. The good thing was that the bath towel, yukata, and kerosene fan heater were free of charge. But there was a terrible destructive power to cancel the good point. I don't want to stay anymore. By the way, the inn department was heaven compared to Yujibe. The joint toilet was clean and normal. The corridor was heated and comfortable and the meal was good. The room was old but the cleaning was normal. And the inn department, the Yuji department, and the slippers are different. Why is this distinguished? I presumed that Yuji Club customers do not use the joint toilet of the inn club??? I have to change my clothes to the slippers for the toilet in front of the toilet, so I can see it there? I thought that if you make the toilet of the Yuji part comfortable rather than using the slippers, you can solve it.

My sister and wife are repeaters and 3 times. The hot springs around this area visited about 6 years ago, but I was the first time Sansui Kaku. It was an image of a small old inn, but there was a large inn in the inn. It is an inn with a good atmosphere. I was guided into the room and surprised ‼️4 people's room, but twin bed and 12 tatami mats Japanese room plus 6 tatami mats by window. Large ‼️ enough space. And the room is beautiful. There is no bath, but this inn with many in-house baths is a problem! Relaxing space with great satisfaction. The view from the room is only the parking lot of the inn, but it is good. Bath is good, of course! The open-air bath is the best. All meals are very satisfying with the family of horses. The amount is about this. I'm going to the hot spring trip year 2 times 〜3 times in this member, but everyone was smiling and popular. Personally I will come again! I want to enjoy the Yuji club without family for about a week. I will definitely use it again.

Stayed at the Sansuikaku wing (which is the newer and upmarket part) but I would suggest to visit the other 2 wings which offer a glimpse of how a traditional house. Multiple onsens throughout all 3 wings - great variety! There was even 3 smaller private onsens for families/couples. Enjoyed the big rooms (with river views; toilet but no shower), service and the multi-course japanese dinner too. If I want to be picky, it will be that its not the easiest to get too by train. You can drop off at either Hanamaki or Shin-Hanamaki stations and there will be scheduled buses to pick you up (1 run by the onsen association and another by the Osawa). However, you need to take note of the specific timings. Otherwise, I was told that a taxi from Shin-Hanamaki would set me back about 6000 Yen.

It's good to be close to the station, but it was February when I went and the sidewalk was snowing, so it was difficult to move with big luggage. There is no convenience store around, so it is better to arrange it somewhere for a midnight snack. Immediately after entering the hotel, there was a small shop space, but there are few products. It is cup noodles and sweets. The room is small but clean and quiet. The bed was relatively large, with low repulsive pillows, and it was comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom and toilet are also clean. Amenity is minimal. Thank you for the shampoo rinse. Breakfast is served on a basic plate. There was also a small half buffet. I think it is a good hotel for those who want to use it reasonably.

This is the second use. As in the previous time, I was able to heal my tired heart by the natural conversation with the staff 々. Also, the goats who received from a nearby elementary school in 2011 seem to be old, but I was relieved that they were cheerful and relieved by the kind care of the staff 々. I was healed in the hot springs, and I was warmed by the goats eating grass in good spirits, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. It was comfortable to feel like I was home. I will stop by again.

After taking a leisurely bath in the hot springs, we had dinner after relaxing in the book lounge. It was late, but I received a very pleasant response. After that, I was able to refresh myself with a heartwarming response at the cafe lounge. The next morning, I was healed by cute goats and had a very fulfilling time. We will stop by again!
