"Booking.com: “Newly opening in April 2013, this new hotel with a 24-hour reception lies in the heart of Munich.“ Nice front with the hotel name, KAVUN, but no entrance visible. Found at last a label inside the retracted door: „CHECK IN Hotel Atlas, across the street.“ No lobby in hotel Kavun. The breakfast is also across the street, in Hotel Atlas. After checking in, at the other hotel, I had to negotiate with the vagrant, laying in front of the front door. After that, it was rather easy to insert the key into the keyhole, although there is no outdoor light. Noticed though broken safety glass in the door, as the light came from inside. This is most likely the reason for the pictures on booking.com, showing the ground floor from outside. In the minibar was water, soda, beer and white wine and additionally bottle of red vine on the table, excellent, but there was no glass, not even toothbrush glass in the WC room. At the table was a pencil and peace of paper, but no light. The varnish on the parquet, was partly worn through on the parquet. Fine TV with one hundred, or so, TV channels in German language and some in Russian language, but not one in English. No instructions with the TV. The positive: Good location and clean hotel as almost all hotels in Germany. The bed was good."
"Stayed here with my baby daughter and partner for a weekend city break. Room was clean and tidy, in good condition, lovely and warm, comfy bed. Had a fridge and a good power shower. Couldn’t have asked for more. Staff provided us with a cot for the baby and there was a lift for access. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay, served its purpose, didn’t spend much time in the room other than to sleep as we were out all day sight seeing. Not in a great area but only a short walk to Marienplatz. Aldi and Lidl near by. Only thing I would say was that there was no tea/coffee/kettle in the room-I enjoy a tea first thing in the morning! "
"The hotel is located about 5 minutes from the train station and about 15 minutes from the bus station in Munich. The rooms are simple, clean and well-maintained. For the prices that they were charging, I felt it was a particularly good deal. The girl at the reception was very kind and helpful. Would stay there again if I was in Munich."
