We had such a good experience with the Wegrestaurant Gilze Rijen a few years ago, where you could always choose a la carte from tasty dishes during Christmas. But unfortunately it's gone, so then just try Tilburg. Totally not to compare! Here for 72.50 pp a mass of simple buffet dinner (with standard drinks) in a dining factory. And that with Christmas? !! ? ! Heavy. To lose and eliminate as many people as possible, it was set up in several sessions, but even that was not enough, and the restaurant was apparently full of our session. We were swallowed in a kind of highlighted meeting room with many others. Not at all charm/and atmosphere. Then we could get our food in a overpressed room every time. The rest was very simple: spaghetti, hawkballs, fries, etc. Yes, some smoked salmon and sushi were found somewhere (if it was supplemented). But that sushi seemed to come out of the supermarket like that, even the soya soup tubes. Very little choice and taste was not. We lost our family 507,50 (7 presses). They had to be paid in advance and you couldn't cancel. It was not even worth 200 euros. It was all so terrible that we booked at a real restaurant in January. For we never want to do this again!!!!!

Beautiful hotel with disappointing service and staff. We came in at 3 am from a long flight with our 2 year old with 2 weeks worth of luggage. The staff made us get our own Trolley and drag it upstairs. At breakfast the staff where no where to be found to assist and the freshly made eggs station sat ideal the whole time with burnt eggs only on display. When I asked for a little more late check out time than what I paid for, I was met with a harsh no. No smile nothing. Cold and brut. Come checkout time I asked for a trolley to get the bags down , they said they don’t have any. I asked for help to take my bags down because I had a baby and couldn’t do it alone. Again they said they can’t help. Not a 4 star hotel service or even a 2 star. Staff is disconnected and not friendly at all. I do not recommend it unless you speak Dutch or if your traveling with a family. Such a shame because the room is spacious and very quiet

When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! We have no time now! It was very disappointing a

My sister and I had a twin room for 3 nights last week, as part of an escorted tour to the Floriade exhibition, Amsterdam and surrounding areas. From initial check-in of the group with the tour leader, all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My sister uses a walking aid and we had a room on the first floor near the lift with a small locked Juliet balcony overlooking a busy square. This square was busy and noisy into the early morning, but not as bad as I'd feared from reviews. Efficient air conditioning kept the room cool, very welcome in the heat. The bathroom, like the bedroom, was clean, with an accessible walk in shower cabinet, but a metal grab rail inside, fixed to the wall would improve it for many people with mobility difficulties. We liked having a fridge in our room and breakfast choices were really extensive, with staff on hand to help with things like operating the fresh orange juicer, when it got stuck! Staff in the bar/restaurant were efficient and friendly. We had a group meal at 7.00 pm included on the second night, and our three course choices (mine was beef carpaccio, mussels in sauce, and salted caramel ice-cream) were delicious. A couple of evenings, I went to the bar to buy a glass of wine, chilled and reasonably priced, to take to our room. Our last evening was Friday, and very tired after a long day, we decided against eating out. I went to the bar just before 9.00pm and was very surprised to learn the kitchen closed at 9.00 - I was told the Dutch eat early, about 6.00 or 7.00pm. Fortunately, there are many take-away options within minutes of the hotel! I did have a brief swim in the small pool. A special word of thanks to Nona, on reception, who dealt with several queries I had during our stay with excellent customer service, especially my concerns about our return boarding passes for KLM. When I asked, she had no hesitation in downloading and printing them for me - huge relief...Although we did not have the time to explore Tilburg, I would not hesitate to return to the Mercure and highly recommend it.

Rest is vergane glorie. Ontbijt is redelijk.

There is parking lot, if you don't drive, the hotel location is a bit biased. It takes more than 20 minutes to get to the bustling area. The hotel is next to the park and residential area. The environment is good, the room is quite big, the bathroom is quite big, the facilities are good, the business is not, not luxury.

We would like to thank you for the good service and friendly welcome at the reception. The rooms were top and very nice, also in your room can make coffee and tea It's a pleasure if you're gonna go early and still want to drink a coffee. Parking before the door is a pleasant experience. The drinks were well treated in the restaurant bar. Top and recommend to everyone. - Bye. - Bye.

This hotel is not bad, there is a very large parking lot, the parking lot is free, the front desk of the hotel is very warm, the explanation is very careful, and it also helps us to carry the luggage to the house!
