Reviews From Real Travelers
The location is very good, just across the street from Princeton University for shopping and dining, and it is convenient to walk to most buildings of the university, including the Art Museum (you must check in here, because of the rich collection, especially Chinese cultural relics, you should check in repeatedly). Check in to a 20% discount card for a restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast can also be discounted. It is a historic restaurant with good service. The hotel service is very good, but it is really a bit old, the bathtub is slippery when stepping into it, so I have to hold on to the railing. There are two blocks in the lobby, one without guests passing through. It is great to have a rest and talk about things. After leaving the room, sitting there with luggage and waiting for someone to fall asleep (jet lag) and no one would interfere.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Great grounds and a nice restaurant on site. Parking can be difficult but there are two parking garages they are associated with that kind accommodate you. Rooms are adequately sized and very clean. If I’m the area, will stay again.

I always enjoy my stay at the Bridgewater Marriott. Grace Lizardo director of room operations is always very accommodating. I enjoyed my room selection very clean and updated. The breakfast is delicious with me to order omelettes oatmeal, fruit, and other healthy selections. It’s close to many restaurants and close to New York City and other theater district in New Brunswick., New Jersey. The workout room has enough equipment for you to maintain a level of fitness while you are on the road. There’s also a heated pool.

Check-in: Good Room: Fine. Clean Beds: comfortable, though duvet cover didn’t fit so well. Shower: nice. Bathroom: not great sound reduction. Mirrors fogged / hard to get clear. But overall fine. Bar: extremely loud. Corporate event. Prices aren’t cheap and staff was ok, but not great. Other: left an item in the room. Very difficult to engage the hotel staff on this. I had to fill out a form on a third party website and hope someone takes it seriously. Staff try very hard to not engage via phone. Feels potentially representative of how they deal with any exception: push to the side and hope it goes away / someone else deals with it. Overall, hotel is a reasonable place to stay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way or pay extra to stay here vs comparable hotels in the area.

We've stayed at this hotel while visiting family on two other occasions (prior to Covid) and always found the hotel to be perfectly acceptable and the staff to be friendly and accommodating... this is our first visit post-Covid and I have to say that there are definitely differences in the hotel from two years ago. The room was OK, bed and bedding very comfortable, but the overall appearance and cleanliness of the public spaces in this hotel has definitely gone downhill. The carpets in the hallways, stairways and lobby are filthy and the elevators are dirty and in need of a serious cleaning. Also, we were very disappointed to learn that the maid service has not resumed at this hotel and if you want your room cleaned and towels replaced, you have to notify the front desk the day before. The lobby bar is only open on Friday and Saturday, the bistro only serves breakfast and no other prepared food is available at the hotel -- the hotel previously had offered breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and the bar had been open 7 days a week. I understand that Covid hit this area hard, but if the hotel wants to continue to charge the same rate for your stay, they need to resume full operations, including maid service and food service. We would like to continue to give our business to this hotel, but they need to clean it, refresh the public spaces and reopen fully -- if that doesn't happen, then we will be taking our hotel business elsewhere.

Stayed one night in the area for a family event this weekend. Everyone on staff that I encountered was super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, employees wore masks, and the location was good. For the price I paid it's hard to ask for more. I only have one complaint and the hotel really isn't at fault, but they had guests from what looked like a wedding in the bar area when I returned back to the hotel late at night, they were very loud and very rude. I actually felt bad for the employees. Once the bar closed it thankfully settled down. I'm sure that's not a nightly occurrence though, and I would stay here again.

Very convenient to the wedding we were in town for and in a nice quiet setting but close to all highways as well as all the local townships and villages. Hotel was clean and comfortable and had clearly been updated recently. Staff was pleasant and friendly. I will say that the bar/ restaurant closed too early and cheated us out of a nightcap and the use of our F&B credits ( the bar did look inviting and had an excellent selection of premium bourbon). I could be wrong but the hotel didn’t seem full and no upgrades were offered despite our diamond status. Good price to value and one thing we loved was the control of room temp that allowed us to make it cool enough to sleep. We will definitely be back as all of my family is in the area.

This was a great hotel experience. The venue was recently renovated, and the rooms were quite nice. I will definitely book this hotel again when I return for a future start. I was able to stay a few extra hours to complete a work assignment, which was very much appreciated

I travel monthly to Princeton for work. I figured it would be a good idea to get to know the more convenient “recommended” hotels and this one is by far my favorite. Sure the Hyatt in Carnegie Center has a beautiful lobby, it also overbooks their rooms, has uncomfortable beds and pillows, horrible views and staff who could care less. Princeton Marriott at Forrestal is known of those things. Rooms are cozy and comfortable and you get what you book. The views are lovely and have a secluded vibe. Could not recommend this one more. At this point I’ve tried all at least once and this one is my favorite!!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. We were traveling back home from Maine and stopped here. Front desk staff were kind, dining option on site (and close to many other food options if you choose to go offsite), nicest hotel gym I've seen in a while (treadmill, elliptical, bikes, free weights, and stationary weight machines). There is ample parking too. We got a room with double beds. Bathroom is nice and spacious. Shower is nice. Everything was clean!

Nice stay for 2 business nights in August. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lobby was clean and bright. Front desk staff was friendly and engaging. Room was clean and fresh and didn't have any unusual smells. The breakfast was really good. My only issue was the AC in the room which didn't work effectively. After responding to the manager's check-in email someone came and attended to the AC, but it did not work any better. This is probably the best BonVoy property in the area.

The environment is very good, the surrounding is very quiet, there is a steak house and foodcount nearby for dining, the room is very quiet, clean and tidy, and the service is warm!

I have stayed at this hotel off and on since February of 2022 when I started my chemotherapy treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center in Basking Ridge. I was diagnosed with a rare form of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma called Mantle Cell Lymphoma in May of 2021. I am extremely grateful for this hotel for accommodating me while up in the area for treatments, and scans. As I’m getting better, my visits are less frequent, but I stayed here last month again, and wanted to thank the staff for their kindness especially Maya Dawkins and Jossehlyn. Thank you all very much. I look forward to my next stay, as that means I will hear more good news about my recovery. If you wish to follow my journey back to good health

Can tell some things were renovated..cheaply. It's a nice lil place. The lobby/dining/bar/lounge area is spacious. The room is spacious. The bathroom is nice, however the shower is narrow. Idk if all of them are but i laughed at how narrow the shower is. I don't know about room service or amenities as I didn't use them. Fair price Staff pleasant Would book again Convenient location

My family stayed here one night for a travel soccer game. We’d never stayed at a Springhill Suites before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms - 2 queen beds and sitting area with desk and couch. Large closet and nice sized bathroom. Mini fridge and microwave. The included breakfast was also better than expected – make your own waffles, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, a selection of cereals and yogurt, fruit, bagels and muffins. All for cheaper than other hotels in the area! Rooms were clean and lounge area I front where you could eat breakfast was bright and cheery. Definitely will stay here again next time we’re in town for a soccer game.
