"This hotel is too fond of it! The decoration of the hotel is very beautiful and the room can see the snowy mountains! The service staff was very good at night. It was like waiting for us to call out my name. I also prepared wine and tea as a welcome drink. Breakfast is delicious, although there are not many types, but the whole environment will make you enjoy it. I will book it next time and ask the front desk to tell you all kinds of information. The store that rents ski clothes downstairs will also give you a 10% discount."
"Very good hotel experience, about five minutes walk from the train station. The entrance to the hotel may seem inconspicuous, but there is a hole in the backyard. The spa and sauna are great and very design. Breakfast is also very good!"
"The breakfast is very varied and the fruit is especially good. The hotel is beautiful and next to the supermarket."

"The overall quality of Swiss hotels is really high, with details in place everywhere. The same is true of this hotel. The handsome guy at the front desk is really super enthusiastic. He will say hello every time he meets, and explain how to play the Matterhorn route when he checks in. The breakfast husband said that it was the fullest day in Europe. There are boiled eggs and fried eggs. Fried eggs are not salty and rare, and there are small cakes. This salmon is super fresh and has a lot of fruit. The best thing is that the juice is freshly squeezed, squeezed by yourself, and there is a special machine for pressing fruits. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable. The balcony is also nice and you can see the street view. By the way, there are minibars in the room, all of them are free. This is awesome. There are beer and various drinks in it. Seems like 6 bottles. The coffee in the coffee machine is also very good, but I didn't drink it. The hotel has a free mini bus, the front desk said it would take us, but it was useless and I wanted to go around by myself. Very pleasant stay, recommend everyone. The price is not cheap or expensive, around 1500 a night."
"The service was very good, the staff who picked up the car ran twice and received us without any bit of impatience. The front-end glasses sister also helped us solve many practical problems and helped set the family's black-faced sheep (black-faced sheep service). The attitude is very bad, I won’t go.) The hotel hardware measures are good. The next day I came across a very fat front desk. The city tax list gave me direct garbage. I didn’t give me a very rude job. I was late for work. The breakfast started at 7:30. Because we had to catch the early glacier train, the breakfast staff was very touched by the service in advance. The other party was very happy and hoped that she would always be happy. The quality of the town's service staff is very poor, and both of them can meet hhhhh."
"The hotel is very satisfied! The decoration is very new and the layout is very warm. Especially the bathroom facilities are very new and the shower shower is very comfortable. The front desk of the hotel was also very enthusiastic, took the initiative to give us a detailed introduction, and also helped us mark the map and help us recommend the itinerary. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The highlight is that you have freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice, which are very sweet."

"I stayed here recently and overall had a pleasant stay. My big beef is that they charge 5 star prices for 3/4 star amenities. Look I get it it’s Zermatt and the place is not for bargain hunters. But I don’t think it’s too much to ask for wifi that works and some basic amenities in the bathrooms. First the good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The ladies at the front desk could not have been more pleasant. And the bar tenders were friendly and talented. The servers in the breakfast room were always cheerful and efficient. Bravo to them, you really made our stay very pleasant. Also, the location is great! You are right across the street from the main lifts and a quick walk from the train that goes to the summit (I highly recommend this, easily the most civilized way to get to the top of the mountain). The breakfast was great and the rooms are a nice size — which is great for Europe. Finally the view from my room was the Matterhorn — wow! The bad. The hotel is not cheap, which is fine. But for 500 francs a night I don’t think it’s asking too much to have wifi that works properly or some basic bathroom amenities. My phone kept dropping the wifi signal and you had to log on constantly— and I was not alone everyone had a similar issue. Also, is it too much to ask to have proper shampoo, soap, conditioner and body lotion in the room and not a refillable soap/shampoo container? And please spare me the notion that this is to save the environment. It has zero to do with the environment and everything to do with the hotel being too cheap to deliver proper wifi and bathroom amenities. Finally the spa area was very so so. The steam room wasn’t working for three of the six days we were there. Look it’s a nice hotel with friendly staff, a great view, large rooms and a great breakfast. Quit being so cheap and fix the wifi and put some decent supplies in the bathroom so people don’t leave with a bad impression that is completely avoidable."
"We stayed one night at the hotel National. I was with a friend. The room was big. We even had a kid's bed above us and a hammock. We had a big bathroom, but the bath/shower was under a casestair (or looked like it) and it was difficult not to put water on the floor. The hospitalty tray was great, we had mandarines, water, coffee, tea, sodas available for free (you had to pay for more). The personnel at reception was very nice and showed us our room. The food in the evening was great: buffet, soup, menu and dessert. We had the welcome cocktail offered and the bar tender was very nice. After dinner, we had a gin cocktail and he was a good advisor. I definitely recommend to have a drink there. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, hamman and jacuzzi. The pool was too cold for us. The breakfast was continental and amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel."
"Stayed here with some friends over the past week and while we appreciated the amenities such as the Breakfast Buffet (made to order eggs, etc.) and the wide variety of choices and juices there were a number of things that could be better or improved on. The pool and hot tub were fabulous while the sauna was broken for several days during our stay, not acceptable for such a 4 star hotel. We also had evening dinner at the hotel with a very nice salad bar and optional raclette, the dinners and the dessert however need improvement if this is to be a true 4 star hotel. A big plus was the service and waitstaff that are excellent and took great care of us."

"From our pickup at the train station to the great room and swiss styling to the friendly staff and owner. All was fantastic! We were on Half board so we had a great breakfast and dinner there. We had the same server and table for each night which made it seem like we were "regulars" Our server gave us some tips on places to hike. At breakfast we mentioned that we were going on a early hike the next morning and they wrapped up some meat and cheese that we were able to take with us!"
"We found this hotel on Expedia and were thrilled with the result. The service was impeccable from being greeted, cared for while there and transferring our bags to our next lodging. Our room was great with a gorgeous view of the Matterhorn. The locker room was sufficient and the spa and gym are very nice. The breakfast was terrific and we had a diner at the main restaurant and enjoyed it. Only thing we missed was a bath in our room....but, the spa is very close by."
"This is a quaint hotel with modern features. We had a room with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. Hotel staff were very helpful. They provided a shuttle from the train station which was convenient. Walking luggage through the town streets would not be much fun. The breakfast is nice! Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay! "

4 Zen Steckenstrasse, Zermatt, Valais, Switzerland
"22 Summits is the best winter sports hotel I've ever stayed in and is in my top five hotels of any sort. It's in the perfect location, two minutes from a ski shop, just a short walk to the main lift up to the ski area and a quick stroll from the bars and restaurants in the village. We arrived late after a bit of a nightmare journey (thanks easyJet), feeling frazzled and tired. We were immediately appreciative of 22 Summits' gorgeous, calming reception area which reminded me more of a Soho House-style private members club than a ski resort hotel. It has deep, welcoming leather sofas and a variety of stylish chairs arranged around low tables. The double height ceiling allows for a mezzanine library and there is a small bar off to the right of the entrance. After the receptionist had tended my partner's injuries (long story), we were shown to our room. It was a show-stopper; more of a small apartment than a hotel suite (in fact, the room/suite was bigger than most the flats I've rented). It comprised a giant sleeping area with double-height floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony that looked out on to the awesome spendour of the Matterhorn. There was a bathroom and a separate toilet, an area to stow ski-wear (as well as huge cupboard for street clothes) and an upstairs TV room with a sofa that doubled as a pull-out bed. The sense of space, beauty and comfort was second to none. I couldn't ski the first day because of an injury, but was more than happy to spend the day reading in our splendid room. I should mention the staff, who were almost exclusively young women. They were first class; helpful, patient and super-friendly. 22 Summits doesn't have a kitchen so it's B&B only, although the bar tender was happy to rustle up something for us to eat when we arrived late on the first night. We didn't use the gym and only went to the spa once during our seven-night stay. It was fine - there is a fab outdoor hot tub - although the nude section rather alarmed me. All in all, 22 Summits was a delight and we can't wait to go back."
"Anyone booking this hotel/B&B, should be aware of their wrongly described rooms. This hotel is surrounded by buildings on three sides and a road in the front. To be able to see anything you need to clear the roofs of surrounding buildings and need to be on 4th or 5th floor (in total 8 rooms on these two floors). We had an alleged Mountain View room. You need to be a contortionist to be able to see any mountains and only visible from one particular corner of the window. This can be best described as city view room in a decent hotel. Yes the hotel is new and swanky but don’t be fooled by pictures. Rooms are incredibly small. Our main issue was the lack of heating control. There is no way to manage the heating in the rooms as it is centrally controller underfloor heating. It was very difficult to sleep at night when room is so hot and you cannot open the windows due to noise from outside being on the main road. The reception shuts at 10pm and no one is present in the hotel after this time not even a night porter or security personal. Therefore the atmosphere is very morbid after that time and any decent bars etc are bit of a walk. Generally, we found the staff unhelpful, or not even present to help and had serious attitude problem. To us this establishment neither has convenience of a fully fledged hotel nor charm of a chalet and best avoided."
"My son and enjoyed every moment of our weekend here. The staff is very personable and gracious, giving us individual attention from the moment we arrived. The room furnishings are lovely, with luxury touches and rustic beauty at the same time. We can’t say enough good things about our stay."
