Contrada Trappeto Morte, Milici, Sicily, Italy
"The resort is located very much off the 'beaten track' and up multiple, windy, roads, well into the mountains. However, once you arrive the feeling of relaxation is amazing and the hotel team can't do enough for you. The rooms are amazing - very large and of high spec. If you are expecting a tourist hot-spot though, you'll be disappointed. There isn't anything within walking distance, and the town has two restaurants (one we visited twice as the food was very good) and one small supermarket - so you absolutely need a car! The nearest (shingle) beach is about 20-30 mins drive. The resort is is very quiet and the main focus is hosting events (weddings and graduations) in the beautiful setting. Don't let this put you off though, as we stayed 4 days and there was an event every day, but as the resort is so large, this didn't actually cause any issues to us whatsoever. In fact we rather liked the it. There is limited on-site facilities and no pool bar/cafe for snacks. The breakfast was a bit let down - very limited choice. There are two lovely pools, with lots of sun loungers, to choose from, and although there is a sports field, this is currently not really in use. There is also a tennis court. Overall would recommend this, due to the quite location and lovely mountain setting. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. We didn't want to leave - so I think that this says it all. "
"Villa Laura Resort is a nice quiet and remote resort with two nice swimming pools, a tennis court, play ground, restaurant and a bar. The rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. However, the outdoor facilities including swimming pools were not very well maintained and we had to separately ask for the pool to be cleaned (as it had been very stormy weather the day we arrived). We were the only guests during our 4 days stay (they have 17 rooms) and the receptionist as well as the waiter in the restaurant did their outmost to help us with everything requested including making arrangement for us to visit a nearby winery. There is a small town 2-3 km away with a couple of good dinner restaurants. "
"My family and I stayed for one week at the resort. The staff were amazing - they could not do enough to make the visit a pleasant one. They were on hand to advise on day trip ideas as well as booking taxis to explore the village at night. They were cheerful and informative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. This place is a real gem and we are looking forward to a return visit. Don't change a thing!!"

"Hotel Garibaldi is set on the seafront of the characteristic fishing town of Milazzo, overlooking the Eolian Islands. It features elegant guest rooms and spectacular views. This charming hotel is tastefully furnished with Sicilian-style pieces and offers a comfortable stay in a great location. You can start the morning by looking out onto the clear waters and decide how you wish to spend your day. guests can take a day trip to the nearby Eolian Islands or the Taormina Etna volcano."

Via Cassisi 5, Milazzo, Sicily, Italy
"We travel frequently between Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands and this hotel is without a doubt the best option in Milazzo. The staff are friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for these girls whom all speak excellent English. On a recent visit we needed to print some documents for our appointment with local immigration authorities and they very kindly offered to do this for us. The breakfast choice is varied, generous and fresh. We always seem to be fortunate enough to get the same room which has become so familiar to us - it is big, spotlessly clean and has lots of special touches making it feel that management really care about their guests comfort. Recently we needed to stay elsewhere as the Cassisi was full and I was reminded that the warmth, kindness, comfort and location of the Cassisi is a truly unique experience in the heart of Milazzo."
"We chose to stay here two nights in order to take a trip to Stromboli. The hotel is about 300 metres from the ferry terminal. There is no parking at the hotel but the staff were helpful in arranging valet parking nearby for a reasonable cost. The rooms are small and if you have a lot of luggage you may struggle. Certainly too small for an extended stay. Breakfast was quite good. The wifi works fine but annoyingly you have to have a separate login for each device and only a short period of inactivity results in you being logged out. "
"A pretty good Hotel for a short business trip Clean, descent breakfast, right at the port close by a number of restaurant and managed by very friendly staff that all appear to be members of the same family. "

Via G.Medici 81, Milazzo, Sicily, Italy
"This is a perfectly fine place to stay. We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the street and a pizza restaurant below and altho it was a Sat night, there was no street noise audible at all. If you want to take a ferry to the islands, the terminal is a 10min walk away (turn right on the sea front). One thing, the reception area as you enter is tiny. There is a small bench to sit on while waiting for a taxi but is not a very comfortable area to wait in. Also, check in is not open until 3pm and until then you can't get into the hotel. There is a phone number you can call to let staff know you have arrived. I'm sure all this is on their website but you should check because this is not the usual hotel check in experience."
"Pros: Small and pleasent hotel. Very helpful crew. Very nice breakfast with a variety of fruit, yougurts, breads, patisseries, cold cuts and juices. Located in center on a promenade with no traffic. 10 min from port. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. Everthing lookd renewd and very clean. Superior room was excelent with a large balcony overlookind the cathedral. Cons: 6 am no hot water in showers. New but Very slow and scary elevator."
"This is a well located hotel in the centre of where you need to be if visiting Milazzo We were on a tour and ferrying from the nearby port so the location was perfect, the young men on reception were very welcoming and helpful with great restaurant suggestions Great shopping nearby too Knock yourselves out with a granita at one of the many shops nearby !"

Via Ten. La Rosa 1, Milazzo, Sicily, Italy
"La Chicca Palace is a smart, modern hotel close to the centre of town and the ferries, yet in a relatively quiet location. It offered excellent value for money. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, while maintaining strict Covid protocols on distancing. Breakfast had to be ordered in advance so that it could be delivered to our room, which it was, exactly at the time requested. Milazzo is more than just a ferry port - the old town on the hill to the north includes a castle and cathedral, and there is an interesting free museum displaying archaeological finds from the local area stretching back through the Roman and Greek eras to even earlier settlement. So an overnight in Milazzo is no hardship!"
"Good, no frills hotel, very close to port. SUPER friendly and helpful staff who provided useful advice (and discounts) on parking car nearby and booking a meal. Breakfast was ok although no non-dairy milk options"
"Staff is nice, nice location, and that is really it. Our room was not very clean, no hot water in morning, breakfast ends at 10, no lobby, not tended after 11pm. Much most a hostel than a hotel. I would not stay there again."

Via Nino Bixio 11/12, Milazzo, Sicily, Italy
"Stayed here one night to allow us to catch early morning ferry to overnight on Stromboli. Reception staff were very friendly, professional and helpful with organising to park our hire car until we returned the following day and also stowing our baggage so we could just take small backpacks to Stromboli. The hotel is approx 5-10min walk from the port where the ferries depart. The room and bathroom were lovely - modern, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. For us, the only downside was not having tea/coffee making facilities in the room or even having access to a tea/coffee station so we could make a cuppa ourselves. A polite request for a couple of cups of tea around 10pm was not very well received by night staff (clearly we were putting them out) and resulted in a couple of weak, tepid cups of tea which we were charged an unreasonable amount for. For us, this was the only disappointing aspect about staying at La Bussola."
"We only stayed here for one night, just before catching the boat to Stromboli. It was such good value that we were expecting something pretty ordinary. But it was such a lovely hotel, we wish we'd booked for longer! It is smart and stylish - and spotlessly clean. The staff were so helpful, ordering taxis, advising us on the best routes back to Catania - even after we'd checked out they were a point of contact for taxis etc. They went beyond the call of duty. Delicious breakfast. Nice gym. I can find no fault. Highly recommended. We stayed with our two children and our enormous room with plenty of beds couldn't have been more comfortable."
"We were in Sicily and wanted to catch a morning ferry to Stromboli so we decided to stay at La Bussola Hotel in Milazzo. It is within a ten minute walk to all the ferry docks so it’s perfect for travellers without a car. We had a rental car that we wanted to park while we went to Stromboli and we were able to leave our car for roughly 24 hours in their secure garage for only 10€. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful balcony. They had a very nice continental buffet with a couple of hot choices as well for breakfast. Their staff were extremely helpful and made our stay even better. A great choice!"

"If you visit Milazzo to get to one of the lovely islands this is the perfect hotel to book. Its right in front of the port (3 min walking distance to get to the ferry boat ) the staff is very friendly and attentive, the rooms are clean and you can enjoy a nice breakfast on the terrace - overlooking the port and bay area. Thanks to their great restaurant recommendation- we enjoyed a wonderful evening and the next morning we went on the ferry boat to get to Panarea ! It was a perfect stay at the Petit Hotel "
"Found by accident! What a find! We needed parking for three nights near the port while island hopping and a bed as we missed the last island ferry. Within 30 minutes our car was safely off the street and we were drinking cocktails on the roof deck overlooking the harbour. Very helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms and a great dinner recommendation thrown in. I could not fault this venue."

Via Marchesana Marina 4, Province of Messina, Sicily, Italy
"Me and my family stayed almost a week here. The hotel itself was a typical 3 star hotel, which is great. The rooms were clean, and the beach is right in front of it, and that’s all I can say about the good things. The breakfast is out of question...everyday the same and mostly cakes, the tables are dirty, one day the juice was rotten...so it was awful. As for the pool, I was pretty pissed, because it’s only open about 7 hours a day and you have to wear swimming cap. Talking about the beach the safety is weird, I mean If the sea is a little bit wavy, swimming is prohibited even if you want to swim at your own risk, so you have to walk away from the hotels beach at these time to do whatever you want...but if the weather is not windy the lifeguard is sitting back to the sea. After all if you still think it’s worth for a sea view room, you are wrong. Do not choose it if you want to rest, because the music is so loud till midnight, that you have no chance to sleep. And what was really funny is that besides the receptionist, who can barely speak English, no one can at the hotel, not even at the Gelateria or the animators. "
"We had been here seventeen years ago and returned 2 weeks ago — still comfortable and welcoming. Many people find this spot by accident but since we have family in the area, we have been aware of this hotel for a long time. The rooms are comfy, the food so delicious and the beach great. If you are driving between Messina and Palermo and are looking for a relaxing spot off the beaten track, this is for you. Have a granita in the bar for me, Yum!"
"We stayed in the hotel for 2 night. Nice room with air conditioning. Lovely private beach, the food was very nice plenty of fresh fish. The only thing was the music.. the entertainment was on at night and it was a little loud but finished at midnight.. but the Italians loved it.. I would recommend to go on low season to miss it"
