Was down for the Amherst Hobby Show and tried this hotel out for the first time, I've stayed next door at their ”sister” hotel (tru) before but had wanted to try this location out. Well, I was not disapointed. Great Hotel, staff was great, super friendly. Room was nice, laid out good, super clean. And comfy... didn't want to get out of bed honestly :) Breakfast area is kinda cramped at busy times, but tons of room to sit and eat. Lots of food options, and the food was hot and tasty. If I go back to the show next year, these guys will be my go to and if sold out, the tru next door is always a great option as well,

Honestly, the outside patio and inside common area is beautiful and you couldn't get a better location. You have a park right in front of the hotel with a slight walk (very easy and I was using a cane) you have numerous good restaurants, bookstores and shops. And you are in the heart of Amherst College campus. Upon entering the building you are enveloped by a lovely, subtle New England smell and then you see the fireplace going in the common area. Perfection. And if you are looking for a great drink at the bar, yup they have that. All of the staff were super kind and the bathroom was clean, stylish and comfortable. However, the price is not accurate representation of what you would expect for the quality of the room. Here is my reasoning why. 1. As someone with severe food allergies, I brought the food I could eat with no fridge in the rooms, I lost all of it. Maybe it is available in the larger and more expensive rooms but I didn't think this was something I needed to check because it comes standard in all the other hotels/inn's I've stayed in. 2. In regards to the entertainment in the room, I'm not sure if it was the internet or the remotes but the ease of getting channels to change was frustrating, especially after the seriously slow ”what is playing” scrolling option on the tv. 3. Small Details: when I went to leave I realized there were no mirrors in the room. There was a great mirror in the bathroom, but I couldn't find a mirror in the bedroom itself to check my outfit. I opened the closet door, which was in the small entryway, and there was the mirror. However, this was the darkest area of the room and I had to tuck myself against the wall to see my outfit. I felt like i was in college again with my Target full length over the door mirror. There was def. enough space to place it on a wall so I have no idea why it was placed here other than they didn't want to pay for a nice quality full length mirror to hang. 4. And finally, we come to the bed. While finding the right bed for all the guests is a tricky thing, this bed was not firm or plush, it just felt old. I've traveled a lot and have stayed in many hotels so, I expect a comfortable bed, a fridge, a quick tv/tv remote and a full length mirror as comfort standards for this price point. IMO you are paying for the location vs the room quality.

We used to love this hotel. While we love dogs/pets/animals, my husband is extremely allergic and has asthma. Surprise! This hotel now allows dogs. Our room smelled of wet dog and my husband almost went to urgent care because he coughed nonstop for over an hour. Fortunately, I brought his inhaler and we fumigated the room using a mixture of vinegar and water. Housekeeping barely cleaned the room. You must get a top floor room but even then, you can hear everything in the hallways and every bump. Sadly, we will not return to this property.

Small room but excellent air conditioning, water pressure, bedding, and staff. A welcome respite from a dreadful Airbnb experience down the street. Location is perfect: in the center of town near lots of restaurants and shops. Free parking in their own private lot.

There is nothing around the hotel, but you can park for free. If you don't have a car, it is not recommended to stay, which is very inconvenient. The facilities are complete, there is a small swimming pool and gym, breakfast is a typical American style, nothing wrong. There is a self-service washer dryer, which is more convenient!

Second time I have stayed here and it is a great option if you want to be convenient to both Amherst and Northampton (or even South Hadley) as it's in the middle of everything. Easy drive to all the 5 colleges/towns. Plenty of free parking and you can even catch the PVTA right next to the hotel if you don't want to drive around. Room was huge, modern and well-maintained. We also were happy to be able to do laundry here (reasonably priced coin-op including detergent, change available at front desk), a nice perk when on a road trip. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, with a good selection of waffles, bagels, fresh fruit etc. Common areas were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. There's even an indoor pool and a gym. Good value for the money. We will always have this place in mind when visiting the area!

Your location Homewood Suites by Hilton Holyoke-Springfield/North 375 Whitney Ave, Holyoke, MA 01040 Extended stay hotel G Slade 26 points   22 hours ago Did not honor reservation to myself and approx 10 other guest. We we’re utilizing Homewood Suites as an extended stay until we could move into our new home, Hilton kicked us and a few others stating it was a glitch and Hilton overbooked. Also, the outside accent spotlights shined directly into the room. It was so bright I called the front desk at 3am requesting they turn it off. They were kind enough to switch our rooms but the light remained blaring in room 107. Doors did not have spring closures, every time another guest would use the door it would slam. Outside noise (guest in halls) were easily heard, no quietness. Hilton guest relations responded to this incident (after a few emails) by stating they would discuss with management. No remedy to the guest. Bottom line, if you book here there’s a good chance Hilton will not honor the reservation and you will be forced to seek alternate lodging and you’ll have a spot light shining on your room.

The room itself was good. Plenty of room for us and two little ones. There was a coffee maker, but only decaf pods, and one cup; no regular coffee or cream, sugar, etc. The beds were comfortable, and the TV was nice and large. The desk staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast staff were not friendly, and couldn’t manage to keep the coffee and milk and cream pitchers filled. The hot breakfast food was poor, but the cold items were just fine and there was a good variety.

The room is spacious and tidy, can accommodate an extra bed, a bed can sleep two people, there is a refrigerator, microwave, gym, two beds for two people, the room can also be an extra bed, can sleep up to five people, suitable for children, there is a parking lot, Shopping around to buy school supplies is very convenient!
