Thank you so much for our Sunrise hideaway spa weekend,it was awesome from start to finish. I would just like to say how amazing the weekend break was, we really appreciated it and needed it,to destress. Being carer's we tend to ignore our own needs and concentrate on our loved ones. My daughter-in-law and I arrived on Sunday afternoon. Firstly, I must say, the decor of the Hotel looked calming & luxurious. The bedroom was really Luxurious & Spacious, with a mini bar super king comfortable bed and a little hand written card welcoming us with some chocolate's,a lovely personal touch. The Firepit restaurant felt very calming and relaxing with a great low music in the background to add to the atmosphere. The view out the large glass windows were stunning, the lake had a water fountain lite up, which was beautiful to watch. We really enjoyed our lovely dinner & Sweet. They even have a robot that serve's you dinner. We both had a lovely night sleep in the very large comfy deluxe superking bed. There was a great selection for Breakfast, which set us up for the day. We then went into the spa. The changing rooms where Clean & Fresh. All the facilities were great and we tried them all out. Steam room, sauna, salt room, chill out ice room. There are heated water beds and egg chairs inside the Quiet Area, which are so comfortable next to a fire. The pool was just perfect with bubbled jacuzzi and taps that massaged your back when you stood under them. A new bar at the side of the pool with waitress service. Loungers all around with heaters and blankets for if it's a little chilly. The temperature of the pool was hot and steaming which was lovley as it is October and a little chilly. I booked a back massage as i felt tight in my shoulders and in some pain. Clare the masseuse, gave me a very firm massage and was very good, the pressure was just right and she gave me a lot of tips on how to strengthen my back and relax my muscles, she was brilliant. The staff at the hotel were very attentive & Helpful. I will be returning, hopfully when Father Christmas brings me another spa package.

A friend and I stayed two nights, to make sure we could enjoy all of the experience. On the way there we stopped for lunch and we were so engrossed in chatting, that the spa ladies rang us to make sure everything was ok as we were missing the afternoon session. We thought this was very thoughtful. Dinner that night was lovely, we were served by the lovely Sydney both nights and lunch in the Y-spar, she needs a raise she was absolutely spot on and what a smile!!!!! Room was lovely. We had the hot stones treatment which was amazing, my fiend hadn't ever had one and she felt like she had had an out of body experience. Check in and out was easy. The only thing I would say is that you can't roam about in your dressing gowns and we didn't want to keep getting changed so just sat in our room until the next bit.

We had a great stay here! The bed is huge, the shower is really nice and the room and facilities are clean and well designed. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Clean room and attentive staff. Breakfast pleasant but not worth extra £21 for single occupancy room. Rate should be halved in such circumstances. Will use again .

Reviews From Real Travelers
I needed somewhere reasonably priced as I was in Bedford for an early appointment. I found it on a 3rd party booking platform and booked as it has good reviews, I didn't even think to check tripadvisor, until the day before check in and by then it was too late to cancel after reading all the poor reviews on here. Anyway, we arrived and the parking is plentiful. A few disabled bays. The lobby is very nice, and clean. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. We requested something not too far away (from the reviews on here), and they obliged. We didn't have breakfast here as it is rather expensive...£15 per person. They do buffet dinner too and that's not cheap either...about £25 or 30 per person. We decided to get takeaway delivery instead. The room is a bit small for two people, but fine for one. It was OK though for one night. I'd stay here again should I come to Bedford again.

What can I say, after walking about a mile through corridors we finally got to our room in the 500,s will need to get up 10 minutes early find my way back. Walked into the 5 avenue corridors all smelt freshly painted and I thought they might have done the rooms as well, Wow no they haven’t, if it wasn’t 9,30 pm I would have drive the 2hrs home. Old soap stains and looks like tooth brush marks on sink, still looks like some has clean there teeth and the spit was over the taps had to wipe with a towel. Old bar of soap on the floor and lamp light plug left in way so you can just stay on it after getting over the shock of the room. 2 single beds in the room which I can live with as long as comfortable it’s like a rock might as well sleep on a park bench. Cancelled rest of stay and will find another hotel. This is willows training centre one and we normally stay at the lakes very frequently.

It's very expensive for the location. The room was as expected but the duvet could have been a bit heavier and warmer. Breakfast was well cooked and had variety to choose from. Overall, excellent and great service. I'll definitely recommend to my friends and family and I will definitely visit again soon.

The hotel booked by the company next to us was very close. Hotel facilities are a bit old. Breakfast was ok. It takes an hour to drive to downtown London. It is not recommended to stay here for ordinary games.

Reviews From Real Travelers
This is my second stay at the Cambridge Belfry and I am here for 3 nights. I was apprehensive about returning, given the nature of the reviews but I have to say - they do seem harsh! And I consider myself hard to please. On arrival I was informed that a generator had broken and thus my original, booked room was unavailable. The hotel went above and beyond, and have allocated me a penthouse suite. This is something I would never be able to afford normally and it’s just lovely. So thank you 🙏🏻 I was disappointed to see the pool/sauna/steam was unavailable for use on the 7th. I’m hopeful this is a one evening thing as it’s one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, but it seems they are doing maintenance that has been highlighted as an issue so you can’t have it both ways! Special thanks to the receptionist who dealt with my silly questions over the water in the mini fridge (you’ll know who you are!) and the waitress who took my room service order without laughing at me apologising for not coming to the restaurant. Both lovely. Some of the staff I’ve found are just plain miserable, which is a shame. Especially on reception. Only criticism. No orange juice for breakfast, and I do like a glass of orange juice in the morning. And the posh Nespresso machine in the room, I know it’s not exactly a problem to have but you’ve got to put some instructions with it. Have given up with the thing! I’ll be a returning guest. We stayed here for one night and had the most incredible and relaxing time. The grounds are beauitful and there is plenty of space to explore and relax. We made full use of the spa alongside the deck chairs outside where we drank beers from the spa overlooking the lake in the beautiful sunshine. We both had seperate treatments (a full body expfoliation and a deep tissue massage) which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the breakfast in the morning had a good variety to choose from. Whilst the hotel is relaxing enough to never want to leave, it is also in a good location with a Morrisons a short walk away should you need some extra supplies. I have knocked a star off due to a nail being found in our room upon arrival and due to us not being informed about an aqua class taking part in the pool during our stay, however these were minor factors and I would highly recommend a stay here.
