"Cabosse is one of a kind and Filip and Riad are the greatest hosts ever. We booked the hotel for our wedding night. During the day they made the spa available for the makeup artist and allowed a photoshoot on the premises, for which the combination of neoclassical architecture and their personal interior decorating (exclusive items collected from their travels) was perfect, as well as the impeccably kept garden with pond. Riad's madeleines are out of this world and ask for his off-the-menu virgin mojitos. We stayed in the Queen Suite, which was the crown on the photo shoot and perfectly fitted my wife's regal wedding dress look. This suite is something else and the pictures on their website don't do it justice. Down to the toilet, everything has been thought over to perfection. The next day they served a late breakfast at 2 PM without qualms, with a carefully selected assortment of vitamins, cheeses, sweets and terrific eggs. I can go on, but let's just conclude this is a rare gem you won't find easily anywhere else in the world. I am not one for superlatives, but words simply don't do it justice. Yes, it's that impressive."
"Our stay in Guest House Cabosse was a unique experience. Riad and Philip were exceptional hosts with their friendly and caring attitude. They welcomed us so warmly that we felt immediately at home. They took the time to make us visit this beautiful house explaining us its history and describing all the rooms in every detail. The decoration and furniture were exquisite combining taste, colors and style in such a harmonious fashion. The suite we had was as well so nice, comfortable and large. A particular touch for the bathroom and shower. The breakfast was sophisticated and tasteful. Last but not least you can enjoy a very cosy spa for a moment of relaxation. Overall a wonderful and unforgettable stay!"
"This place is probably the best hotel/guesthouse/place to stay when in Antwerp. The personalised, authentic and respecting service you get is amazing and out of any other league. I have visited a lot of Luxury hotels and retreats and this is something else and I will be sending all my friends and business guests here. Great project in Antwerp! This is a hidden gem... "

"Stayed for 3 nights with my husband. check-in was smooth and luckily, our suite was ready when we arrived. We had booked Suite 1 - based recommendation from staff as we wanted a quiet room. The suite is just stunning. High ceilings, dramatic colors and we loved the fireplace - and it was indeed very quiet. The overall decor is beautiful - not something I would have at home, but it works here. It is opulent and a bit over the top, but the touch and look of the materials is high quality. We had one issue with the room - there is no shower, only a bathtub. Of course, there is a hand shower fixed to the bathtub, but the cord is not long enough to stand up to shower (and then you would have to hold it in one hand). When coming home late afternoon and then getting ready to go out, it was inconvenient not to be able to take a quick shower. we had breakfast included - it was good and well presented, nothing fancy, but the dining room is lovely, the eggs were perfect and the staff warm and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here when in Antwerp - the location is great, the staff is excellent, the decor is stunning, our suite was a lovely place to relax after sightseeing in the city. I will be back (but will go for a suite with a shower next time)."
"I would really say that this is among few hotels in the world that i could describe it as the best of the best , was there for four nights , wonderful rooms , with excellent amenities , almost every thing you would need , the food in the restaurant is super , but what i liked the most is the staff , they are supper Wow , very professional , too friendly and really make you feel that you are among your own family , really well done . The location of the hotel in in center of Antwerp , so you do need a car to go around , hundreds of shops and restaurants to choose from ... For sure if you are looking for a wonderful hotel , this is your place 😍😍 "
"Spent a night here with my wife. Had a great dinner in restaurant Nathan (walking distance) and decided to stay in town. Hotel is just beautiful. Super friendly staff, nice place from the first second. We liked the style very much. Cool to have treasures from excavations from this very place in vitrines. They told us it was from 1493! Room was very nicely decorated and had wonderful orchids. Very comfy bed and perfect bathroom. Stylish. Breakfast was very cared for. Fresh & delicious. We really recommend this place for couples. Loved it. "

"We had a night to spend in Antwerp and are so glad that we chose Hotel Colvenier over the other standard hotels. This place was unbelievably charming! It’s actually a 4-room hotel attached to a famous (and amazing) restaurant, with a huge (and equally amazing) wine cellar in the lower level. The proprietor, Patrick, is the chef and owner of the restaurant, and was the epitome of what you want in a host. The property is more like a sophisticated bed & breakfast; rooms are spacious and the size of an apartment, with kitchen and living/dining area. It’s quiet and comfortable, but an easy walk to everything you want to do in central Antwerp. We did a little aperitif wine tasting before heading into town for dinner — do not miss this! The wine cellar is mind-blowing, with a massive selection of all sorts of terrific wines and dozens of little candlelit cave-like rooms to wander through. We ate lunch at the restaurant the next day, and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. There is no menu; Patrick chats with you beforehand to quiz you on likes, dislikes, allergies, etc, and then creates a multi-course meal based on your input. It’s all creative but approachable, and everything was fresh and seasonal. Can’t recommend this place highly enough! It’s worth a stay in Antwerp for this place alone."
"I visited Antwerp with 3 of my closest friends to celebrate my Birthday in the first week of December. Hotel Colvenier was the icing on the cake for what was a very special first visit to the city. The apartment was spacious beyond our expectations, cozy and charming and perfectly sized for 4 people, complete with a second extra bed that we requested. The apartment was also warm and toasty when we arrived, which was much appreciated for a winter getaway. Marta was lovely and even gave us a special tour of the restaurant and hotel while welcoming us! She was also Brazilian, and even spoke Portugese to one of my friends who was Brazilian. We were even lucky enough to have a peak of the kitchen courtesy of the Chef! The location couldn't have been better - and was easily accessible by foot 10 minutes to the city center and all the major shopping districts, restaurants and Christmas markets. We feel so lucky to have found this gem of a hotel and we cannot recommend it enough for anyone visiting Antwerp. Thank you Hotel Colvenier!"
"We loved this place! From the moment you arrive you are greeted with outstanding hospitality. The owner is also the head chef and he personally sees to it that all guests are welcomed and looked after in every way. The hotel is located in a really old historical building, full of character and intrigue. There are a limited number of guest rooms and all are recently renovated to a very high standard. We had a beautiful 2 floor room with a high spec kitchenette and outside terrace. In the evenings we ate in the hotel restaurant - I have a number of eating restrictions and the owner personally sat with me to understand exactly what I could eat and couldn’t. The food was amazing! We loved it so much we came back the next evening again for dinner. And there is also a stunning wine cellar and bar for a drink. The location is also perfect - city centre but not on one of the busy squares. We’ll definitely be back."

" The Hotel Julien was an excellent choice for our long weekend in Antwerp. This is a very smart and stylish boutique hotel in a fantastic location close to the cathedral. Our ‘Julien Dreamer’ room was lovely and beautifully decorated. As it overlooked an inner courtyard it was quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very smart with lovely Aesop cosmetics. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. There was an excellent selection of cold items plus hot dishes that were cooked to order. No problem in getting a lovely de-caf latte to go with it! On our first evening we had cocktails in the lounge which was a great, relaxing start to our visit. The staff were excellent and were very helpful in providing the local information that we asked for. This is an excellent hotel and we would have no hesitation in staying again if visiting Antwerp. "
"We fell in love with Hotel Julien. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay! We've stayed for two nights in an Experience Room. We've loved the space, huge bathtub and shower products by Aesop! The breakfast with all the fresh products was very good too. We've used the Spa as well, which was very welcome after a long shopping/museum day. Also a big +++: the cocktailbar where we ordered the best Champagne ever by the glass! We will make this our regular hotel when we visit Antwerp again. Loved everything! Thanks!"
"Had a wonderful afternoon tea. My friend treated me to an wonderful afternoon tea here for my birthday. The ambience was calming and intimate, the staff were extremely amiable and the presentation of the tea offering was perfect. Moreover, there was an abundance of food and tea. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a break from sight seeing and a chance to unwind in chic surroundings. Plenty of photo opportunities also!"

"A friend and I were cycling through Belgium and spent a night at Hotel 't Sandt in Antwerp. The location is amazing, close to the Museum aan de Strom, Brabo's monument, and some of the best restaurants in the city. (Get a reservation for wild project, even if you aren't vegan it's incredible, and it's just around the corner.) The building itself has tremendous character, from the wood floors in the hallway, to the unique and comfortable rooms, and the lovely garden in the center where we ate an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, baked goods, eggs, cheeses, smoked salmon, and prosciutto. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The owners offered us a safe place to store our bicycles in the parking garage. I would recommend this hotel to friends, and I will definitely stay there again on an overnight trip to Antwerp."
"The location of the hotel is ideal if one prefers it a little bit more quiet. Nevertheless the hotel is just around the corner of the Old Town and its sights. Furthermore one is right beside the one end of the Sint-Annatunnel which is a landmark of the city. The staff was very friendly. The room was cleaned accurately. Be careful with the washing facilities! The water can become very hot. The breakfast could have included more fresh fruit and vegetables, and the portions of jam/marmalade, honey and chocolate spread should allow smaller helpings. I was pleased that the hotel offered rolls for breakfast. Not every hotel serves them."
"We stayed in this place on our way to France. The rooms a clean an nicely decorated. The owners are incredible friendly and helpful. The safe hotel garage helped us not to unpack our car for just one night. Breakfast was very good. We had a great stay. "

"This is such a nice place, very friendly staff in a fantastic place in Antwerp. Each time I stay in this beautiful city I'm excited I can stay at 'The U'. And when reserving the room I cross fingers it's not fully booked. Great food as well. The 'steack tartare' is highly recommended."
"Reception staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is well appointed and maintained - clean and funky atmosphere. Unfortunately the restaurant staff seemed distracted and disinterested. The menu was varied and the food good. Nevertheless, a tab of over 350 euro for a pre-dinner drink, starters and mains for 3 and a bottle of wine would have merited some engagement from the crew. Also, an almost 300 euro room without a bath and without a tea kettle was disappointing."
"Very friendly and helpfull staff. Rooms were clean and have a nice warm and modern interior! We had diner and breakfast in the hotel and it was excellent. Good taste, good presentation Overall a very good experience, yet again! "

"The renovations on this Hotel are impressive! You can easily see that the owner is an interior architect with good taste! I love how each room has a different design of the bathroom and how the spa feeling is represented by placing the tub central in the room. So many details and playfulness with the light coming in from the windows. The restaurant is a huge upgrade from what is was before. You can feel the love of the owners for hospitality in every single detail! Fun and tasty food and great atmosphere!"
"Entrance is right by a stinking recycling station. No one present at reception. Internet randomly turns off. Bathroom faucet makes the water spray on you when hitting the sink. Can’t flip the window shades downwards by the bed to keep light out in the morning. Asked Christophe in the reception, who said he’d take a look and try to fix it. Don’t think he even came to our room and did not leave a note whether he did. No instructions for how to turn on the digital “do not disturb” outside the door. Think it’s broken. Bed light once turned on by itself. Broken trash bin in the room. Spiderweb in the bathroom. Very dirty toilet brush. Elevator stinks. Thin room door so you hear everything from the corridor e.g. the cleaning crew at 9am. Our keycards did not work for the stairs, which is a safety hazard. “You can ask the reception to activate it” said the cleaning lady. Hotel Pilar was probably fantastic in its first years of operating. But it’s clearly in neglect today. Apart from the window shades request, all other staff was helpful."
"I have been in this place for a weekend and I found the hotel very charming and cosy. Rooms are clean and the staff is very very kind and polite. Kimberly and Melany Thank u to the staff of the restaurant and reception. THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE. Thank you for your service, I felt your smile under the masks.❤️ "

"This is a lovely quite new hotel in a very convenient location immediately outside the historic core. It has a grand lobby. Several details weren't right in our room. The thermostat could not be set below 22 degrees (72f.) until reprogrammed downstairs. There was a nice lamp on our desk, but no plug for it--it just sat there. Our TV remote was missing. Our heat in the bathroom never worked, despite reporting it twice. The hotel was lightly staffed when we were there. At 5pm on a Sunday the front desk clerk was the one who showed us to our room. Note that the hotel is on a tram street. There is very light traffic but a sensitive sleeper should ask for a room in the back. Our room in the old building was spacious with a very comfortable bed."
"Being used to avoid hotels being described as boutique, as typically the shared areas are top notch (as they are in this case) but then the rooms are really poor and/or you can hear every noise, Hotel Franq has everything..big enough rooms with incredibly comfortable beds and where nothing bothers your sleep; the bluetooth speaker is a nice touch too."
"We loved Hotel Franq and will make it a regular stop when in Antwerp on business every year. Restaurant, bar, public spaces, rooms, and staff were all wonderful. Have been coming to Antwerp for several years and this R&C property was a great addition to the hotel offerings in the city. "
