VIA DELLE TERME, 5-11, Ischia, Campania, Italy
"Not long back from a 2 week stay at this lovely hotel. It’s a great place to stay, 5 minutes from the pretty port and right in the resort centre amidst a bustling shopping area with an abundance of bars, gelaterias and restaurants and the beach is at the end of the street. All the hotel staff are brilliant (with no exceptions) and to name but a few.... Gabriella on reception, Rafaella on the bar, Mario in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble and Gabriella even hired a wheelchair for us so my husband could get me out and about! We had a good room on the 3rd floor with a small balcony which our lovely housekeeper kept spotless every day. We spent our mornings by the pool in a perfect little courtyard and our afternoons on the huge terrace on our floor which had sun loungers, umbrellas and 2 spa pools. The spa pools were surprisingly very hot but once you were in were very soothing even with the whirlpool gently pummelling away. We didn’t use the hotels indoor spa facilities but many other people did and some of them were on ‘spa break’ stays. The restaurant gave us a wide variety of traditional menus and we didn’t get a repeat menu for the entire 2 week stay. The food was as locally produced as possible and tasty and the portions were huge!! We would definitely go back and stay and maybe take advantage of some of the excursions (of which there are many: to Procida, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi coast etc.). The island is relatively small but there is so much going on (even in September) with the impressive Aragonese castle within walking distance (a bit of an adventure with the wheelchair - cobbled streets, narrow footpaths, very few dropped curbs but all added to the fun!!) and local small buses to take you around the whole island to visit the beautiful traditional fishing villages, spa gardens and festas etc. There was a couple of ladies who told us this was their 9th stay at the hotel as they loved it so much! At the time we stayed we were the only British guests (until another couple arrived a few days before we left) but this wasn’t a problem (in fact we enjoyed the experience immensely and managed to use our limited Italian to the amusement of the staff!!). We travelled with Jet2 who, I must say, were brilliant both outbound and inbound. Everything went so smoothly despite having to transfer by car from the airport to Naples port and then a fast ferry to Ischia and on to our hotel and it was the same in reverse on our return. A simply wonderful holiday!"
"We fly late October with jet2.com to Ischia. The family run hotel is quaint, charming but slightly in need of updating. We loved the location set right in the heart of Ischia. Bars, shops etc just steps away. We travelled to Naples for a hop on hop off bus tour which was brilliant and also did the Positano and Amalfi trip which was memorable. We travelled on a very very crammed bus to the little fishing village on the opposite side of the island. Next time we would find a boat trip there as the bus was just too stressful - no seats, crammed liked sardines and too many sweaty people. Our only main criticisms about the hotel was that we were bed/breakfast and that was obvious every time we went down for breakfast. No table made up for us so we had to stand there feeling slightly awkward whilst one was ready. Whilst all the others - mainly groups of full board Italians were well catered for and looked after. The little bar wasn’t open really during the day and if you wanted a coffee or a cold drink you had to ask at the reception and they would ring around to get someone to serve you. Usually this took for ever, so you gave up. The breakfast was very basic and probably took us back to the late 70s in style. The room we had was very basic and even though there were nets on the windows the mosquitoes came in because when the rooms were cleaned, the maids opened up all the windows. Other than that and besides the bloodhungry mosquitoes we enjoyed our stay. We didn’t use the facilities of spa as we had to come explore but did use the thermal pools on the top terrace."
"Travelled to Ischia with my adult daughter on Jet2. Very impressed with transfer arrangements - met by driver at the airport, taken to the port, ferry across is about an hour, then met at the port there too. Hotel Oriente is a small, clean, quaint place. Had paid more for a room with a balcony, glad we did. Room was small but adequate and very clean. Odd towels, bit like big tea towels, but strangely effective. Also provided with pool towels. We had bed and breakfast. Breakfast was adequate but limited. You can get fruit but have to ask for it. Once the sun has gone from the pool area the terrace on the roof is good. There are two hot tubs up there too. There are loads of great restaurants along the side of the harbour. Boat trips can be booked there too. We used Rumore."

Piazza Santa Restituta 1, Lacco Ameno, Campania, Italy
"Loved this hotel. Prime location, the best private beach/pier area in the gorgeous and stylish little Lacco Amena town. The entrance is only steps away from the center of town so lots of restaurants, bars and shops close by. The town itself is an attraction, mainly Italian tourists so very authentic beachside town and we were lucky to be there for the festival in August so it was buzzing with fun and entertainment. Has a little marina so boats pull in and seems to be very popular. The hotel is an established Grande Dame of a hotel. We experienced a lovely and very personal welcome, the hotel has generous proportions, beautiful hand painted Italian tiles on the floors, gorgeous italian linens & great bathroom amenities. The hotel, restaurant and beach/pool staff are clearly experienced & professional (I like having my pool towels laid out for me and complimentary snacks brought over periodically by staff in nice white uniforms and big smiles., makes me feel like I can really settle in and relax knowing they have everything under control). The staff made us feel welcome and special (the beach staff were exceptional, remembered the loungers we liked, regularly checked to ensure we had what we needed and even found me a diving mask and then proceeded to bring it to me every day so I could enjoy). In addition to the inside pool (in the spa) the outside swimming pool and little beach area they also have a natural ocean ‘pool’ that has the most incredible clear water that is accessible by some ladders where they have complementary kayaks to use and which the beach staff regularly monitor - great environment for kids to explore safely as it shallows up to its own little beach there too. They have the largest most professional spa I’ve ever seen in a hotel - they are serious about their spa! Medical professionals on site and significant treatments - it was extraordinary - a lot more on offer than just massages and pedicures! The hotel is one of those places I suspect people return to regularly, the staff clearly knew some of the guests which was lovely. The hotel isn’t recently renovated - I don’t think it needs to be, part of its integral character is that it has luxury old world charm which isn’t so easy to find these days. The rooms are generous with high studs, the views are gorgeous and the place has style that comes from knowing that it’s comfortable with its own identity. No it doesn’t have electronic locks on the doors or electronic gadgets to let the maids know you want privacy - it’s not that sort of hotel. It has beautiful large antique keys, placards you hang outside your door for privacy and lots of wide generous corridors and elegant lounge and public spaces to enjoy. Yes, the wardrobes probably could do with an update but...our focus was on the overall feeling and it was one of understated elegance, luxury and classic old world charm. We stayed 4 nights and came away feeling completely relaxed and so pleased we had ch"
"I have just returned from my first stay at the Regina Isabella and all I can say is that far exceeded my expectations, and that I truly feel that I have discovered a new home in Ischia. The hotel has a truly timeless air and the staff are attentive and professional without overstepping the mark. From the attentiveness of Raffaele the concierge to that of the pool staff, and the staff in the bars and restaurants, I really felt that I mattered which is so rarely the case in hotels nowadays. I had a single room in the Sporting area of the hotel and the bed size (which often in a single room can feel punishing or spartan) was wonderful and indulgent and the quality of the fittings and extras was excellent. The breakfast and lunches (I didn't have dinner during this stay but will next time) offered in the hotel were truly excellent and the overall quality of the facilities was equally impressive. The spa isn't the modern type but still has it's historic air, but this feels somewhat fitting. Before my trip, I hadn't thought that I would return to Ischia again but I'm already thinking about returning to the Regina Isabella next October if I possibly can. I really understand why some guests had been returning for ten and even twenty years"
"Could not have asked for a better stay at the Regina Isabella. The setting could not have been better, right on the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a pier that allows you to jump directly in from your beach chair. The room was clean, bright and had a small balcony with a wonderful view of the square in Lacco Ameno along with the mountains behind it. We had dinner at Indaco which was unbelievable, and the staff was warm and outstanding."

Via Petrelle 56, Serrara Fontana, Campania, Italy
"We stayed here during the first 2 weeks in August 2019 and had a superb experience. Having travelled extensively, it's difficult to find something truly different, but the Apollon is pretty unique. In the brochure pics, you'll see no main hotel building, and that's because- there isn't one! I'd describe the Apollon as a beautiful thermal spa with some lovely ‘apartment-like’ rooms secreted around its extensive hillside grounds. As a result, the place feels intimate and never busy. In lieu of a traditional ‘Hotel dining room,’ the Apollon Club is home to an excellent alfresco restaurant, this being located on a terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento, and the Island of Capri. Delightfully, there’s not a massed-produced tourist buffet in sight. In its place, you'll find a menu of fine Italian food as good as anything you’ll find in Sant'Angelo itself. The waiting staff are attentive and friendly in a very genuine, understated, Italian way. Those looking for nightlife should be aware that this is a quiet spa hotel, and the small restaurant bar tends to empty by @ 10pm. The picturesque port is within walking distance, however Sant'Angelo is still pretty quiet, so a trip to the neighbouring town of Forio might be a more vibrant option. On the same level as the restaurant terrace, the lower spa is comprised of a quiet sunbed terrace and a mosaic of no less than 5 small, informal pools set amongst beautiful palm crested landscaping with a stunning view of the bay. There’s a sea-water infinity pool overlooking Capri, a whirlpool and 3 spas filled with thermal volcanic waters ranging from 34 to 40 degrees C, and yes, these are amazing to use, even in high summer ambient temperatures that match those of the pools! These are drained nightly, maintained to a high standard and worth the choice to stay at the Apollon in themselves. (Public spas on the island charge up to 35 Euros per person per day for use of the same facilities!) The pool staff’s attention to safety and comfort was exceptional, and there are numerous treatments on offer from a nicely secluded alfresco roof terrace. We stayed in the new upper-level rooms named ‘Il Volcano,’ a small 2-story ‘apartment’ building, comprizing a dozen or so stunning, high ceilinged rooms. The fresh white décor and quality fittings make for a contemporary, designer feel, and the superb air conditioning system was a life-saver for two melting Scottish guests. Each of the upper floor rooms are accessed via their patio doors, these overlooking huge, fenced-off private terraces, (each one larger than the floorplan of the room), these offering spectacular views over Capri and Sorento. This is 5-star accommodation which was kept spotless throughout our stay. There is a more typical ‘front door corridor’ arrangement being added to these rooms as part of the ongoing development, but while this wasn’t finished for the 2019 season, there was no visible work going on or any need to use it, so this wasn’t an"
"We loved our stay at Hotel Apollon Club. It’s separate from The Miramare and we enjoyed having our own area. The six rooms overlook the sea and all have an outdoor seating area. We found the room to be quiet, clean and the air conditioner kept us cool. The Apollon is close to the beach club and the daytime restaurant which makes great pizza from their brick oven. Plenty of sun beds and an area of pools makes for a relaxing day. Before heading out to the town for dinner, we would stop by the Miramare for apertivi and an expansive view of the sea. Every day, Gennaro made us a different Bellini with fresh fruit. We are still talking about the fresh peach Bellini! He was very friendly and warm yet professional, seeming genuinely happy to make everyone’s vacation a special one. The breakfast is served at the Miramare and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They happily took our order for eggs and remembered to ask us every morning if we wanted them again. From the moment we checked in until the moment we departed, we found everyone to be friendly and helpful. We look forward to a return!"
"Location is picturesque, a little village in itself. With half-board the meals were prepared with care. Pizza was excellent, and so was baccala fritto. Table was always reserved with sea-view. Every dinner was different, with starting buffet with salad and vegetables-- limited in size, but excellent quality. Sea-water pools were many, and of varying temperature. Room 434 was spacious and newly-designed with Philippe Starck chairs. Bathroom was spacious. Waiters were professional. In the area, there is good shopping with many boutiques. Netflix was there on the tv inside the room. Tennis court is nearby, and free of charge with reservation. If there is one suggestion, it is to cover the tennis court overhead, to avoid balls flying into the nearby Casa Rosa below."

"A family of 5 with children ranging from age 10 to 16 we stayed here for 6 nights in July and found it to be a really lovely boutique hotel nestled on the hillside above Forio. We had such a blissful time there, it's a delightful hotel. We took 2 suites which were arranged over 2 floors with an outside patio. The rooms were stylish and chic and worked well for us and the ages of our children. The owner Antonio and his team provide a welcome and service with a real warmth. All of the staff were helpful and amenable. The shuttle bus operated by the hotel is easy to book and zipped us back and to to the local towns and collected us from and dropped us off to Forio port. The breakfast is lovely with lots of homemade pastries and great coffees provided by the delightful Maria who couldn't have been more charming. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool area is clean and well looked after and offers lovely views of the sea. There are three restaurants within walking distance of the hotel all of which served excellent Italian fare. Antonio also recommended a beach bar at Citara beach which was great for lunch and indeed for evening meals at the weekend. This is a really special hotel with a wonderful, chilled ambiance in a tucked away location. It is utterly charming and a hidden gem. Highly recommend. "
"This place thoroughly deserves all the positive reviews on here. The hotel is immaculate - clean and well maintained with a relaxed and casual feel. The views of both the mountains and the sea are stunning but most of all it is the staff that make this place so good. Nothing is too much trouble and they do all they can to make your stay memorable. Things too watch out for - the access road is steep, narrow and tortuous. We hired a small hire car and managed well and had full access to what is a small island. The hotel provides a daytime shuttle to Forio and an evening trip to the town for those dining out. There are also three restaurants within easy walking distance - we visited the Bellavista three times it was so good and welcoming. Breakfast was also a treat with lots of choice and Maria making sure you had everything you needed. Simply cant recommend this place highly enough."
"We loved our stay here. The room was lovely and the balcony was huge with fantastic views. Lots to choose from at breakfast and we loved the room breakfast was served in. We enjoyed sitting there with a glass of wine in the evening too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We loved the remote location but the shuttle/taxi service offered was really handy and Forio was just a short drive away. There were three lovely restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. We couldn't believe how reasonably priced the food was and we had great meals in each one of them. All 3 restaurants made us feel very welcome and had fantastic scenery providing a great place to watch the sunset in the evening. I really hope that we are lucky enough to return in the future!"

"I'll start by saying that we enjoyed every day of our visit! La Madonnina has an excellent location and in our opinion the best beach in town - and the beach is private. The beach area is kept very clean, has plenty of chairs and Simon gets you fresh towels when you need them. Our room on the -1 floor had balcony directly above the sea, so the view was amazing. Rooms and the whole hotel are exceptionally clean. The food and service was amazing - special thanks to Giorgio and Luigi! Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, up to looking up where to rent a boat. The spa are is small but this was not a problem for us as we were there for the sea, views and food."
"Went with my 2 sisters. Everything was beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful. The family who own the hotel were always present and charming. The room was so pretty. The food was great. The location is just gorgeous. Ischia town is lovely at night, pedestrianised with lovely shops and bars. Would recommend a day in Procida. Can’t wait to return, thank you for a memorable stay! "
"La Maddonina in Ischia is a very sofisticated, refined and beautiful hotel & spa. Rooms are great with terraces overlooking the sea. Restaurant is great for breakfast, but dinner is spectacular. The pool area is beautiful, and has a grand access to the sea. Overall the design of the place is spectacular, but by far the best thing it has is it’s personnel. They are great!! "

"Even before arrival, the level of service was high. I was allowed to arrive early and use the facilities before check-in. A free welcome drink is a lovely touch. My room was bright with lots of wardrobe space, fridge and safe included in the price. The bathroom was spacious with a large wetroom shower. The level of cleanliness was high both in the room and throughout the hotel. The air conditioning was welcome and efficient. There was a large terrace with comfortable furniture. The pools were great, especially the thermal pool. Although not large, it was easy to swim and to switch between the pools and hot tub. A new spa is under construction. There are lots of loungers and umbrellas. The views over Sorgeto and Sant'Angelo are spectacular. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Breakfast included hot items, cold meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, breads and delicious homemade pastries and cakes. Freshly made coffees were also available. There were set menus for lunch and dinner or à la carte. Vegetarians and special diets are well catered for. The views from the terrace are amazing. Pietro is very knowledgeable about the local wines which are well priced and very nice! The family and staff are not intrusive but are happy to help if asked. A timed shuttle is run to a few places, but impromptu lifts are given to the local bus stop. For a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting in a very comfortable hotel, this hotel is a great choice. I never wanted to eat out in the evening as I didn't feel that I could get any better than was on offer at the hotel. Factor in the stunning view, and it was a no brainer! For others who like to eat out, it is a bit trickier without a car."
"My partner and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in October 2019. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The hotel is family-run. The family was very friendly, personable and helpful, as was the female waitress who tended to us at breakfast and dinner. Our room had amazing views. I will never forget watching the sunrise from our room terrace on our first morning at the hotel. Our room was basic and spartan, but very clean and acceptable. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on two nights. The food was delicious - among the best we had during our month-long stay in Italy. Please note that the hotel is not located at Sant'Angelo. It is actually located at Panza. On arrival by ferry at Ischia Porto, we made the mistake of catching the bus from there to the Sant'Angelo stop (which was an easy mistake to make, given the hotel's name). We felt stranded with our two pieces of heavy luggage and backpack and had to call the hotel to come and collect us. The rate for our stay, which included breakfast, was very reasonable. The hotel offers a shuttle service for guests which goes to the top of the road on which the hotel is located. From there, guests may catch a bus to other villages on the island. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the Sant'Angelo stop. We would be most happy to stay at Hotel Residence Torre Sant'Angelo again."
"My wife and I stayed at Torre Sant'Angelo for a week or so. It is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star view! It was very clean and the service was excellent. The rooms are colorfully tiled and very modern. I was looking for a place with a great view and a thermal pool since we were going in October. This hotel has these and much more. A full breakfast buffet with a wide selection was incuded in our price. We ate at a few restaurants around the island, but none of them had such a nice view as the restaurant at Torre Sant'Angelo. The food and service were as good or usually better than the other places we tried. The only thing they don't serve is pizza. It is located in a semirural area surrounded by vinyards, summer homes, and a few other hotels. It is 5 minutes walk to Sorgeto Hot Springs and a 20 minute walk to Forio's center. If you give them notice, they are happy to drive you to Forio where you can get buses or taxis to other parts of the island. Taxis come there on request. Most of the rooms face the sea, however a few of them look over a small olive orchard and you see the ocean to your left from your balcony (side sea view as opposed to seaside view, a little confusing). Rooms on the top floor have bigger balconies. We were extremely happy with our stay and would highly recommend the hotel and friendly staff."

"We have just spent a week here and are so pleased that we choose to spend our first visit to Ischia at this hotel. It is a family run hotel and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The room we had opened onto a garden area with a sea view . The garden areas around the hotel are beautiful and immaculately kept. The room was lovely , it was clean and had masses of storage space compared to some places we have stayed in the past . We were on half board and the food was delicious , obviously freshly cooked and using some of the ingredients from the families land . You order your choice of evening meal at breakfast but this was actually good. All day to look forward to whatever you have chosen ! There was so much food and such a variety there is no chance of anyone going hungry here ! Breakfast was the same so much choice and such a variety of food. There are various activities and trips organised by the hotel throughout the week but we just did the trip to Santa Maria al Monte . We had the best time ever. The trip up the narrow mountain roads was an experience in itself ! We were shown around the house and the land and then back to the house for bruschetta and wine followed by the best sing a long ever ! It was so much fun and we learnt so much about the history of Ischia . I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. Also don’t miss the Ischian evening and gala dinner . All the staff worked so hard to make these nights a success . The impression I got is the family are proud of their roots and culture and happily share it with their visitors making you feel like you are a guest at a family occasion . We will be back DV . "
"It was our the first time in Ischia and using Tui and all I can say that our holiday trip was remarkable how well organised from the Transfers and Tui Reps.Kate was fantastic and gave us useful planning tips for our week short stay in Forio some organised by Tui whilst others organised by ourselves with the local transport. The hotel was well situated close to Forio town which we would wander in the evening after our evening meal; We went for half-board to ventured on the island to try culinary local food restaurants. The head waiter Enzo, would come to our table for our choice of first and second course and both antipasto and dessert was different everyday and knowing that I had cheese allergy would adapt my dishes accordingly even giving me in the morning non-gluten and lactose free croissants which was a warm customer service touch of the Hotel Providence but we can not even say how welcoming Giampaolo and Maria the owners were giving the upmost to their clients and arriving on the 14th August we experienced the Gala Dinner of Ferragosto better than any I have experienced and comparing it close to a New Years Eve in mid summer with an array of food and firework display unforgettable. The rooms were large and clean and though not a modern layout had that beautiful rustic tiling with two beds made as a double with a fully functional strong shower which is most required on Holiday. To summarise it was great customer journey experienced with Tui and will go back to Hotel Providence Terme in the near coming future."
"We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at this hotel. On arrival our first reaction was that 'we had turned up at an old peoples home'. There were a number of elderly people sitting playing cards. We were shown around the hotel and at this stage we realised that our first impression was wrong. Our room was in the basement which was lovely as we had our own garden . It was extremely clean and well presented. This continued through the time of our stay. The pool area, indoor pool area are fine but need a little bit of smartening up. ie there was some tiles missing in the pool and the whole area of the indoor pool could do with a good coat of paint. The gym was really just a token. The food was absolutely amazing we were half board and we never had anything which was not excellent. The only criticism is that the time of the evening meal was 7.30pm - 8.30pm we did get used to it but another hour would have been ideal. You also have to chose the evening meal at breakfast (I can see why they do this as everything is produced at the hotel). It almost felt that the kitchen was run round them not the customer. but it really did not spoil it as the food was so good. The staff were brilliant very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It is a small family run hotel which is run to perfection. We did some research before we chose this hotel and we are so pleased that we did"

"Cozy beach hotel located just behind Maronti beach, less than a minute walk. Location is pretty much perfect - walking distance to St Angelo (about ~25 minutes, very scenic) which we did several times. The bus stops less than a block from the hotel for getting to Ischia Porto/Ponte , though we found bus service especially in the afternoon to be very busy and sometimes unreliable. Maronti is a beautiful area, lots of amazing restaurants nearby. Rooms are of a fair size. Nice locking closet. Lovely little balcony. Very clean. Firm, supportive mattress. No AC in our room but there is a ceiling fan, and we left the balcony open with curtains closed and were very comfortable. Nice bathroom/shower typical of a 3 star hotel in Italy - some fluctuating water temps. Wifi worked very well, I was quite happy with it. I didn't use the pool too much, but the property overall is very nice, clean, and cosy. We ate at the restuarant every morning for breakfast, which was pretty good, not great, it might be nice to add a bit more variety (after the 5th morning you could use a change up). We ate once for dinner and the food was great (and a good value for the money)- though to be fair, the foods at the restaurants on Maronti were even better! Staff were all lovely. Everybody happy and pleasant. We didn't have a problem despite have very poor Italian. We had a great time overall!"
"Thanks to Hotel la Mandorla ( especially Marco &Giovanni). We have just returned from Ischia after 4 nights at Hotel la Mondorla. We had exactly what we needed. Great balcony and sea view and so close to the beach. Paid extra for air con, which was needed as it was roasting hot. This hotel was very clean , good breakfast and perfect for our stay. The bus route to ischia port/ Maronti is regular and we used this often to get around. Bus stop 1 minute from Hotel. Taxi boats to St Angelo are very close to the hotel also. We had some really funny conversations and seemed to be the only English people in Ischia which was nice and also forced us to improve our Italian. We will definitely return. We asked lots of questions so Thanks very much for having us. ( we also made it to Pompeii!!!). All the best from Caroline and Helen "
"Such a lovely hotel near the Maronti beach where you can get beach chairs and umbrella for free. It takes just 2 minutes to reach beach from the hotel. Bus also stops 1 minute away from the hotel. Staff is absolutely amazing. They give you everything you need or wish. On the other hand the room was a bit old. The bed was too hard and it was not so comfortable to sleep in it. I think that this hotel really has a potential to become even better, when they renovate the rooms. "

"We booked to stay at the Miramare a few weeks ago as a last minute decision to celebrate our anniversary. We booked our transfers through Ischia Review and arrived on the island without issue. Ischia Ponte is closer to Ischia Porto than we’d realised. So by taxi it takes less than 10 minutes. When we arrived we were delighted to be told that we’d been upgraded to a sea view room and also had a complimentary 20 minute massage. When we got up to our room we were not disappointed, the room was immaculate and nicely furnished with amazing views of Vivara ( linked to The island of Procida) and the Aragonese Castle . As it was our Anniversary there was also a Complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the room- this was a really lovely touch. The hotel is charming, beautifully kept and elegant without being too formal. The staff are friendly and engaging and could not do enough for us. Considering they had all worked a busy season and are probably looking forward to a break it did not show. Service was faultless at breakfast, lunch and on one occasion we ate in the restaurant in the evening. This was really good, the food was cooked beautifully and the service amazingly good. We never ate in the La Lampara restaurant on the terrace but Wow! What a gorgeous setting. Restaurant beautifully laid out. Something for our next visit because we will definitely return. I had a few treatments whilst at the hotel and these were also great, very relaxing. We also went across the road the sister hotel to visit the thermal pool, just so we felt like we’d done everything. It is a nice hotel but no comparison with Miramere which was definitely the star of the show. The hotel arranged a island trip this was 120 euros and good value for money, took around 3 hours with a hour to explore Sant Angelo which is very picturesque quaint seaside location. However, considering we had no prior experience of the island we felt we had chosen well in Ischia Ponte and the Miramere. The hotel is perfectly situated for the local restaurants , shops, bars and more. It is only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Castle - this is a must to visit. The weather was really pleasant and a consistent 25 -27 degrees every day, lovely to sunbathe and relax by the sea. We had wonderful holiday and were very sad to leave this gorgeous place. It was a truly great experience. "
"This hotel is a great option for those visiting Ischia.....The hotel is right in the middle of the action and has the most AMAZING view of the Aragonese Castle and the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there was no noise whatsoever (day or night). We had a clear, unobstructed view of the amazing castle from our balcony as well as the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea from our bed, shower and balcony. We stayed in room 205 and I am serious when I tell you it was magical. Open the door ay night and listen to the soft sounds of the ocean and combine that with the view - it's amazing. Getting there is super easy as well. We got off the boat, rented a scooter and arrived at the hotel in under 5 minutes - so figure a 5-minute taxi ride or 15 or 20 minute walk. There is an elevator if one doesn't want to exercise, but we choose the stairs. The staff are ALL fantastic and extremely helpful with things to do, places to see and restaurants to eat at. Maria Rita (front desk) was/is beyond awesome. She was always there (literally) for us and we can't thank her enough or give her enough credit. She made our stay so easy and enjoyable. If I owned a hotel in Ischia, I would steal her away!! The girls in the spa were fantastic as well. On that note, the hotel has a sister property next door with additional amenities that we had compete and free access to (thermal mineral pool, foot pool/spa etc.) The restaurant and bar staff were also exceptional. They were extremely kind, courteous and professional (and fun). Also, the breakfast is fantastic and the boys make a mean cappuccino (or 3 like we had every morning)!! They guys were great. We would (and will) stay here again anytime and I highly recommend this hotel in the absolutely stunning and GORGEOUS island of Ischia!!"
"Being one of the pricier hotels of our Italian stay ($560AUD per night) we were a little disappointed in the size of our room. We had Room 209 which was not very big. it had a lovely view of the ocean but no balcony. The decor of the place was lovely. There was not much opportunity to get a day bed by the water unless we were out there to reserve a chair at dawn like everyone seems to do by putting their towel on a chair and leaving to return whenever they choose. We swam one day out the front of the hotel which was nice, but the best experiences of our stay in Ischia were elsewhere on the island. The breakfast in the restaurant each morning was beautiful and it was lovely to have the waiter remember how we like our coffee each morning without even needing to ask. That was 5 star service. Overall - nice hotel, room a bit small, lovely restaurant and breakfast service and fabulous view."
