"We stayed for two nights. The grounds were beautiful! We were super lucky to have found beautiful weather. We drove to the Castle feom Pescara. Upon arrival we were somewhat confused about parking and how to get into the property. Not your usual hotel. You had to ring the bell to the property and be let in. Once inside we were greeted by staff who proceeded to check us in and gave us the codes to the gate to enter the grounds where we were able to park our car. The property was stunning. We had room 8 with a tub. It was very rustic and well done. We had dinner there both night. Apparently, they do not always have meal service so we were lucky to experience it. Wonderful food paired with a wine by one of the staff. We also enjoyed a wine tasting. It was probably the highlight of our stay, we can’t say enough about Valentina who walked us through the tasting! So knowledgeable and so much fun. Such a gracious person! We felt like we knew her foe years! A must if you are into wine. The area is perfect for visiting nearby towns like Chieti. Overall. We loved our stay! The staff was polite and helpful. We pull highly recommend this experience and hope to be back with friends!"
"Just spent 2 nights at this beautiful, and tasteful Castle Hotel. Everything is restored with a mix of preserving to old and adding modern technology at the same time. Wonderful breakfast in the Old "Cucina".... Wish they had a restaurant that served Abruzzo Cuisine. A bit difficult to get there but this may be a positive. Lots of hills and hairpin curves with the powerful mountains, snowcapped and surrounded by vineyards. They also own a winery "Masciarelli" excellent Montepulciano di Abruzzo and white Pecorino wines... Their Trebbiano is amazing. Ms. Valentina, the Hotel Manager and her Assisten Ms. Luca went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When there please tour the Cellar and the old Olive Oil Press or enjoy a private wine tasting with their Sommelier. "
"Located in the vineyards, this castle was completely renovated up to current standards. We stayed in a standard room, everything was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a bit small, some spots of mold on the wall (the room could get a bit damp after showering), but it was clean and had everything we needed. Great beds. Window had a view over the vineyard. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff, great wines. We had dinner at the restaurant, it was very good and reasonably priced. The pool was great, enough sunbeds and there was a pool bar (but we did not use it). Nice terrace where we drank a glass of wine. Would definetely come back! "
