Calle Nº 2,Isla Colon, Bocas Del Toro, Panama
"This was my first visit to Bocas, Isla Colon! Hotel Bocas del Toro felt warm and inviting from the minute I stepped into the lobby. The service by the staff at the reception was with a smile. The owner Carla was always present to guide or answer any questions that needed clarification. The first stay I met up with friends and we were four in a room, and felt enough space and privacy in the large room with four beds. The rooms were very clean, and they even had ear plugs in the rooms. Keep in mind Bocas is a town with all age groups, partying and talking loud after a few drinks. Yet I loved the location of the hotel. I returned after four days in the jungle and stayed another four nights. The hotel is central, with boat taxis, scuba diving, and coffee and vegan restaurants all a few minutes of walk. In conclusion I will say that the location decor, setup, cleanliness, and safety of this hotel is a five star for me."
"Great location, steps away from the docks and right in the heart of the city. If you are a clubber, this is the place to lodge into. Great staff, comfortable bed, good wifi (although not so good in the restaurant terrace). Right across the street from a noisy night club (also, a noisy street during the night). The hotel freely offers sleeping earbuds (already available in the bathroom, near the towels). It might be challenging if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, but don't forget that Bocas Town is known for its vibrant nightlife. Turn this into your advantage: do your clubbing during the night and afterward, you are steps away from your hotel."
"We love this amazing hotel - and the people behind it! Beautiful location - in the heart of town, incredible views - right on the waterfront, amazing woodwork - attention to detail...not to mention how comfy the bed was and staff was incredible - always there to assist. Over and above - definitely recommended."

"I forewarned my wife and kids that there would be no AC and there would be mosquito nets. We enjoyed are 3-night stay here. Hanging on our deck, snorkeling, fun day trips and fresh, healthy and surprisingly great dinners. We didn't need or use the mosquito nets in December. The sounds of the water below you is so soothing. We really liked this unique stay. Upon landing in Bocas airport it is a little confusing how to get to their dock for pick up as the dock doesn't have a sign and seems to belong to a private home. Part of the adventure! We had a nice day private boat trip that the hotel organized for us to see dolphins, snorkel the coral gardens, visit sloth island and go out to the marine park beach. They even stopped at Bocas Twon for us on way back to pick up some snacks from the market. Star fish beach is underwhelming but fun for an hour or two. Enjoy!"
"Off the grid, natural beauty can't be beat. It was wonderful to be able to jump into the warm sea right from your front porch. This is not the place for someone who needs to plug things in since there is just enough solar to power lights and fans in rooms. This was a problem for me because I have a CPAP machine. You charge your phones at the restaurant. I wake up really early, but it is impossible to get coffee before 8 am. I know, it sounds silly, but... Also, they should be more gracious with their menus. A "single pancake" costs $4. Butter, $1. The rooms are not cheap, so you don't want to feel nickel / dimed. I would like to return and would plan better for the environment next time. It really is a magical place."
"We stayed for nights at the Aqua Lodge. It was lonely. Very comfortable cabañas with the bedroom upstairs. N ice e to be able to step off the balcony long to three crystal clear water. Food was very good and the staff were excellent. They did everything with a smile and a desire to help and make your stay memorable. I would particularly like to point out the excellent service provided by Jorge, Ismael and Adela. Together they made us feel so welcome. "

"Our second stay at Tropical Suites, We were happy to be back enjoying the great location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Harbor view room is worth the extra money as you have a front row seat on the busy harbor scene and there is no street noise. The room was very spacious with a nice balcony and comfortable seating. There is no restaurant, but coffee is free near the dock downstairs and is ready early. Also there are a lot of choices for breakfast just outside the hotel. We understand the hotel is under new management and we have noticed improvements in the room and saw signs of other things being upgraded while we were there. The staff is very friendly and always willing to accommodate requests or give local advice, especially the night manager, Ricardo who is over the top helpful and friendly. We have stayed in other places in Bocas over the years but appreciate the location in town as you don't waste a lot of time or money waiting for or commuting with taxis. We will definitely stay at Tropical Suites again on our next trip to Bocas del Toro."
"We spent 4 night here. The location is great and the staff is very nice and helpful . Laundry service was $8 and is ready the next day . The hotel is very clean and the beds where very comfortable . I was disappointed because the owner said all the rooms where renovated when my husband stopped in to have a look before I arrived to meet him and he was shown the only room that was renovated (1 room) so my expectation where somewhat high. Really the room #13 we had on the 3 floor was ok. It was nice to people watch from balcony the town view . But the a/c needs to be replaced it is old and rusting and sound so loud you can not here the tv. To be fare staff did send some one to repair A/c but nothing changed , it just needs replacing , the couch should be replaced also it was so dirty we did not want to sit on it . It’s strange that there is limited furniture in the rooms ie only one night stand and no side tables near the couch . One picture on the wall . Good selection of tv stations tho in English . The coffee maker was broken when we arrived so staff replaced it . There was limited utensils and not a pot to boil water to make tea . Also the elevator was broken for our whole stay . So had to walk up 3 flights of stairs often and carry our heavy luggage down the stairs on our last day . Either we r just unlucky but seemed like a lot of thing missing or broken during our stay 😳 Taxi ride to hotel from airport was $2 per person and was easy. Lots of taxis there. It’s strange how you have to wait in a room at the airport for your luggage , then they slide the luggage throw the door and everyone just grabs their bags . There is no luggage belt just thought I would mention it because we did not know what was going on . Bocas is a funky town and worth a visit . Make sure to go to zappatilla island , and also check monkey sanctuary it was wonderful . We negotiated a private boat for 2 people for $150 for day which did various stops . "
"We stayed at the hotel for 3 days and the visit was exceptional. The rooms are spacious, Air Conditioned, the views spectacular, and the location was close to a lot of restaurants, supermarket(s), and tour companies that allowed us to enjoy exploring the island and sorrounding beaches. They have coffee downtstairs at 7:00am right in front of the dock to enjoy the comings and goings of the boats near the hotel. The nearby restaurants serve a lot of traditional and international meals to please anyone. The prices are not only reasonable bu downright inexpensive. A bit of caution: If you are staying there, bring lots and lots of insect repellent. In the sorrounding area are really vicious! Other than that, it was a great stay at this wonderful hotel."

"The hotel is so well located, rooms are beautiful, beds are so comfortable! The staff at the reception were so nice, smily and attentive (except that when checked in, we realized at midnight there were no towels in the room and there was no service at that time, but fortunately we had a towel). Breakfast is pretty good for the price, but my only complaint was the girl working at breakfast on 31st Jan 2020 (afroantillana looking). She was in a very bad mood, her face showed she wasn’t happy working there. She is definitely a minus for the hotel! Breakfast on 1st feb 2020 was served by a local lady (she looked like local aborigine). The experience super different! She was very nice, attentive and always smiling. She changed my mind about the breakfast experience I had the previous day. Other than that, I definitely recommend this hotel!"
"Very clean hotel with a very tasty breakfast. Free water dispenser w as great given the lack of safe tap water in the area. Hotel well situated on the water where it's possible to watch all of the boat activity from the restaurant. Rooms with excellent views. Very cozy place to stay and certainly a place you would want to return."
"The room was very beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The personnel is nice and helpful, always smiling and welcoming. My friend and I spent 5 wonderful days here and we highly recommend it. The breakfast ist delicious and I recommend the bowl of cereals with yoghurt and fruits and their pancakes which are to die for."

Calle 3a, Bocas Del Toro, Panama
"I recently stayed at the Gran Bahia for two nights while in Bocas on a solo over the holiday. Pros: The hotel is located well and as very easy to find from the dock after being dropped off later than expected in the rain. The history of the hotel as a bank explains the bars in the front counter and the locks. I was happy to have A/C after nearly two weeks traveling through Nicaragua & Costa Rica without such amenities. And the A/C worked well. The room was dated however, I felt it was charming. The bathroom was small but clean. Cons: the walls were paper thin, I could hear a conversation out in the hall clear as day. You could also hear the club across the street playing loud music till the early hours of the morning. There was no hot water in the shower. The complimentary was subpar. Breakfast consisted of bread and toasters, cereal, a small amount of fruit and processed meat (bologna sliced) and cheese slices. The milk was in containers that sat out on tables in the hallway in the heat. It tasted sour on my second morning at the hotel. I felt this hotel was a bit overpriced for the quality. If I return to Bocas, I will be staying elsewhere. "
"The Gran Bahía was a home run for us. We were in Bocas during carnival and the Gran Bahía was at the other end of town from the festivities, so it was realitively quiet. It is Family owned and operated and everyone was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was well attended and very complete. The rooms are spacious, the beds are great, and everything is super clean. It is an old hotel....in a very good way. "
"It looks good from the outside, it is an iconic building in Bocas town, it is well-located and has water coolers on both floors (helpful as you can't drink the water in Bocas), and that's really where the good bits finish. Our room was dark and dank - it had a low powered light bulb in a dark brown lampshade. Wet clothes took days to dry, even when strategically placed in front of the air con fan. The shower was covered in black blotches. Shabby curtains, no view, no balcony or any outside space which was a shame as we were looking forward to three days relaxing after touring Costa Rica. On the Saturday night, the music from somewhere up the street belted out till 4.15am - I know the time exactly as I didn't get a wink's sleep until it finished! Breakfast was also disappointing. Cereal, some fruit, toast and jam, processed cheese and processed meat slices. This was our first hotel in Panama after the high standards of Costa Rica, but I'm sure there must be better hotels in Bocas. Look around at other hotels before you choose to book here."

Isla Carenero, Carenero, Bocas del Toro, Panama
"Farro Colibri “Light house and Hummingbird” is as delightful as the pictures suggest. The rooms are small, but comfortable and each has porch looking out over a small swimming area. Thousands of tiny fish swim below enjoying the shade offered by the docks and casitas. Grab something from the local market, mix a drink and chill out in your porch that faces away from the bustling town across the small channel and out to beautiful green islands to the East Luz and the rest of staff are warm and helpful. Breakfast is simple and delicious. You can stand at the end of the hotel dock and in no time flag a water taxi to take you over to Bocas town for $1-$2. The Island is small, but quaint, with just enough places to dine with in a 5 minute walk to cover a 3 night stay. Downside would be the water taxis that zip by the place all day and the Wed, Fri and Sat night party music, but that’s also the case in Bocas town. The room TV is tiny, but if you’re here to watch TV..... Well, I am not here to judge. This is also a great launching site for any of the tours to the more secluded islands 🌴, which from surf to nature are a must. Faro Colibri is a great value. "
"This is a perfect spot for you if you want to be close to town, but want a spectacular water view and a place that is little more quiet than in town. We absolutely loved waking up in the little yellow house listening to the ocean and seeing it out of every window. Yes, you can hear water taxis and sometimes music at a nearby hotel but it is much quieter than town. Because of the location, water taxis are super easy to get. The breakfast view is spectacular, food is delicious and the staff is so sweet. The rooms are also clean and charming. Make sure to visit Bibi's and watch the sting rays next to the dock, if you stay here."
"The best part of this place are the two ladies looking after the guests, including making a great breakfast. We stayed at a cabin over the water for one night, which we found too noisy due to all the water taxis whizzing by, and two nights in Kevin Condo, which was great. We had our dinners at Bibi's, where the food is amazing. Only walked to the store once, flooded and filthy in that direction. This is a good place to relax or go surfing, not much else to do."
