"My husband & l had a wedding to attend on Phillip Island so we booked accommodation near to the venue at Phillip.Island Winery, what we thought would be a great place to stay, The Silverwater Resort San Remo, it turned out to be anything but.... Firstly we get to our room to settle in and the TV had a large error message on the screen, which we could remove from the screen, so we could not see the tv at all. I took a.photo of the TV screen and went to Reception to report the fault. They advised that they would send someone to fix the error. In the meantime, we went for drive to the Island and then we thought we might go to the lounge bar at the Resort and have a drink. Well I stood at the bar for sometime waiting to be served and a young lady eventually acknowledged my presence, which l appreciated. But then a lady walked up to the bar and was served before myself, who had been waiting for a long period of time. I let the young barman know that l was there before the lady he was serving (not her fault at all) and it didn't seem to bother him at all, even after l had made mention of the Fact! Not happy 🤬 Once we had finished our drink we thought we would retire to our room. Firstly we checked if the TV had been fixed, and to our delight, it had been fixed. (Photo below) I thought then that l would have a shower and retire for the night. I ran the shower for a time, then got in to have a shower, and to my horror, the water was cold, even though it been running for a good amount of time. So l had a COLD SHOWER! Not happy 🤬 My husband rang Reception once again to report the fault and they said they would have it fixed by the morning. We kept our fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻for that it be fixed by the time we had to shower in the morning, so we were happy with that. So, l go to get into bed, turned the bed down and there was a dirty black spider in the bed (photo below)..could anything else go wrong?? Ahh, yes it can!! We get up in the morning, run the shower for a period of time, check the water temperature, and, you guessed it, it was Cold... We get dressed and make.our way to reception once again to report yet another problem. They advised that they would send mainstream to fix the hot water once they started at 8am. Fair enough, we thought. So we went and had breakfast at the Resort Restaurant, hoping they would resolve the problem by the time we had finished our breakfast. On our way out of the Restaurant, Reception advised that they have not been able to fix the hot water as yet but said we could use the bathroom.in the room next door, which we did do, at we got a hot shower!! We went out for a few hours for a drive around town and Phillip Island, hoping they had the hot water fixed in time for us to get ready for the wedding as a bus was picking up guests from Reception at 4.15pm. We get back to our room.and yes the hot water was working, hooray!!! We get both have a lovely hot shower and get ready to go to the wedding. As we were ready a little e" "We came here many years ago, and had a lovely stay. Last week we cancelled a trip to the UK for my father in laws service on the day of travel, and we were quite broken, I said we should just get away, we had leave, so we booked here. The 3 br apartment is massive with glorious views of the bay, it could do with some work, the amenities are great, the buffet breakfast was good, it’s close to so many wonderful things with indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sauna, towels included. The staff were lovely, super helpful and friendly at all turns, which is always so appreciated. The things I didn’t love, the apartments needs some love and attention, the carpet is threadbare in spots, it’s not a dealbreaker though. The internet is limited, only 1g per day per device, and it’s just live tv, no streaming." "Firstly this is all before we have even stayed so at least the property has a chance to redeem themselves. My partner booked a 2 night stay for the end of Feb online and when doing so was directed to a third party site run by Expedia and charged a rate $80 over the rate available directly through the property with no cancellation policy which is not made clear at any stage in the booking process.(I thought there were parity rules in this country when it comes to room rates). This is also when attempting to book directly through the property on there site. We like to help businesses avoid the commissions. I called on her behalf having spent 15 years managing hotels myself as I know this type of thing can easily be fixed at hotel level. Surely this was a simple misunderstanding. It was not. I was informed that this property does not allow any cancellations to any bookings and that there is nothing I can do short of calling Expedia myself. I know perfectly well that all hotels have the final say over there inventory and bookings and can fix this with a simple email to Expedia. They simply are not interested in helping. This is with the full knowledge that we have a 3 month old and covid concerns that we want assess week by week until we travel. The booking is for a friends wedding that we really want to attend. And by the way, after a bit of digging I discovered there is a cancellation policy at this property. Just not one that is available to us or that is mirrored by the third party sites. Zero cancellation only should apply to Advance Purchase rates that include a discount. Remember the bit about the rate being higher rather than lower? In all my time in this industry I have rarely come across a property with as little flexibility. Particularly in the current climate and for a booking which we wanted to simply amend and keep not cancel. Of course f I am fortunate enough to get covid I can reschedule. Yeah that's how it sounded when that little nugget landed during the phone call I guess I'll get a resolution when that supervisor calls me back 2 days ago like promised. Not holding my breath. At least call and stand by your policies. Or is simply taking guests money the only priority?"
"We spent 2 nights in the last room available. It was just gorgeous. Jenni our hostess, made it very clear the entire Villa and gardens were available for our enjoyment. So we made ourselves at home with pre-dinner drinks in the lounge room, sinking into the Chesterfields, enjoying the artworks, reading the collection of art books and giggling over the Villa’s compendium. Our room was everything we were expecting, we had our own balcony, the shared kitchenette provided a nice selection of teas and coffees no biscuits. The location was ideal, just long enough to walk off the ice-cream bought in Main Street. " "When booking for Phillip Island MotoGP this was the only place with a vacancy.....and no wonder! We had "the Garden Room" - sounds very exotic - LOL. On opening the door the smell of musty, unused and old came to our senses. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, yes there were cobwebs inside the red cabinet, the towels were dusty. Every time i turned on the tap i was splashed in the face (the water came out so fast and the basin was on top of a bench- obviously modified as an afterthought), no hairdryer, absolute minimum toiletries, the coffee was rock hard in the tin - oh i could go on but for $600+ a night with a 4 night minimum i'll be sure to book earlier and a different place next time we go to the island!" "nice experience live in this family hotel，nice hospitality. we are pleased to stay here. "

"For this hotel, I stayed at Phillip Island for 2 days, and I really lived up to expectations. The hotel is in a forest, close to the farm, all kinds of small animals are infested, and each house is very quiet. A complete experience of cooking utensils and a first-class experience of vacation." "The hotel is nice, the environment is good, the health is good, the location is easy to find, there is a parking lot on the inside, the service attitude is very good, there are wild animals such as kangaroos in the hotel garden, it feels good, the children love it" "The small house is excellent, the environment is good, the public facilities are complete, it is very suitable for vacation. We live in two rooms, can live four people, clean and tidy, very close to Phillip Island."

"I have stayed at Amaroo Park twice now. The park is lovely, cabins are very clean and comfortable. I needed to leave quickly due to an emergency at home and the owners were so kind and empathetic to my situation. I was able to come back without losing any money. Amaroo park is only 10 mins walk to the beach, super close to the shops and gorgeous cafes. I highly recommend Amaroo Park for the location, kind, friendly owners, clean and affordable accommodation. You won't be disappointed. 😊" "Had 2 sites for 3 nights. Sites are large and well kept with lush grass. Sites are generally in an open area with only a few significant trees. Some sites have some dappled shade. A little walk to the toilets but the toilets/showers are clean and functional. Pool area is lovely. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Close enough to town to walk in to restaurants and Cowes pier. Only about 300m from powered sites to Coles." "Great dog friendly, well maintained park with lots of cabins and a a decent amount of caravan and tent sites down the back. They also have a lovely restaurant and swimming pool on site. Very nice managers and it’s in an ideal location to the main shopping area which has some great shops, dining and the major supermarkets. We are very comfortable here and there’s just so much to do on Phillip Island. The managers were lovely about changing my booking at the last moment to bring my visit a week forward. I recommend this park."
"I stayed at the Coachman Motel and holiday units in the luxury spa unit. It was exactly as it was described and more. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the beds were very comfortable, luxury bedding, the spa was wonderful and each room was closed off by a door. It was very quiet even though they were booked out for the weekend. We were very close to the main strip of shops and cafes and a small walk away from the beach and pier, it is a central location and the price we paid was amazing for this wonderful experience. I am a very fussy person when it comes to hospitality, the staff were more than accomodating and friendly, there was also free wifi available in our room, check in and out was very quick and simple, I will definatly be staying here again, they made my weekend one of wonderful memories" "The Coachman Motel and Holiday units gave us the most wonderful experience staying in Cowes at Philip Island. The luxury spa unit we booked was exactly as it was described and more. It was so clean, the beds were so comfortable with luxury bedding, the spa bath was wonderful. It was only a very short walk to the main strip of shops and cafes and to the beach, it was a very quick check in without complications and given tourist information without any hesitation, they made our stay a very happy and memorable one, I will definatly be coming back to stay with them 10 out of 10" "Wifi is very fast and stable. The bedding is covered in white sheets and is very clean. 3 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the supermarket, surrounded by a variety of commercial facilities, eating and playing are very convenient, as well as Chinese restaurants. The Chinese boss is very enthusiastic and details the fun attractions on Phillip Island. Very recommended."
"Stayed for three nights, and traveled all over the island, leisure and good. I booked a room with two single beds and one double bed. There are paid washing machines and dryers. There is a public toilet inside (the public toilet requires a password, hotel guests can't get in, it is estimated that it is for long-term motorhome people, there is a shower room), you have to go by yourself Found that pool kids can play. Good location, walking distance to beach, trestle, pier, restaurant bar, big supermarket by car, this island is very comfortable. Drive to the nearby Koala Conservation Center, Antarctic Experience Hall, and it is convenient to see the little penguins returning home. Because there is no traffic jam, it is basically 10 minutes to the farthest place. The hotel restaurant pasta is suitable for children, and the steak is also good" "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay easy walk to both the beach and main shopping strip of Cowes. Highly recommend staying here friendly staff. Its a good place to choose for your short holiday the spa and the pool are definitely a highlight. Everything is so clean and fresh sheets. Very highly recommended and would go back again for the next Philip Island trip." "20/04/2022 It was a solo birthday getaway to Kaloha Holiday Resort and the stay was relaxing and amazing. I had a lovely time. Easy access to the back beach, the spa and the pool are definitely a highlight. Everything is so clean and fresh sheets. Very highly recommended and would go back again for the next Philip Island trip."
"The hotel is located on the seaside in the most prosperous area of the island, close to the sea, with beautiful scenery, just 10 minutes walking on the street, and convenient parking. The room was clean and tidy, there were towels and towels, but there was no toothbrush and toothpaste. We went to the nearby Coles and bought it. Because of the new crown, there are fewer guests in the hotel, so I like how to be more quiet and relaxed.
Go west along the beach, and you will reach the most prosperous neighborhood. The all-white house Italian restaurant next to the beach. After looking at the evaluation of the US group, we went to another pion Italian restaurant opposite. The Italian dishes are all salty. , Not as stunning as expected, more common." "Checked in for the third time, one point for one price, the price is very high, and the location is very good. It is easy to walk to the town center. However, the Budget Room does not have air conditioning, and there is no exhaust fan in the toilet, so be careful when booking this room type in summer." "Hotel location is very good, very close to the sea, there is a beach, the room is very comfortable, clean and hygienic, super value for money! The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, plenty of parking spaces, very satisfied! It is a good choice to stay in Philip island, it is recommended to stay!"
