We had always wanted to stay at the Le Manoir so arranged to visit to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. It exceeded all expectations and we had the most wonderful time. We were greeted as soon as we drove into the hotel and our car was parked whilst we checked in. We were offered a glass of champagne during check in and taken to our beautiful room - Rouge et Noir. After a quick walk round the garden we had a bath in the deep bath and got ready for dinner. My dress was creased so the staff kindly pressed it for me. We had a perfect *****ni in the lounge and then went to the dining room for the most incredible dinner. We had the tasting menu with wonderful wines. The food really was exceptional and the stay knowledgeable and friendly, without being over familiar. We slept well in the comfortable beds and had the most delicious breakfast before leaving. We are already planning a return visit!

Unique food, impeccable service! I attended a large dinner in the ballroom. The chandeliers and lighting in the room created a beautiful atmosphere. The servers were kind and attentive. Main course was a unique aubergine dish - something out of the ordinary - and it was wonderfully prepared. I’ve eaten at The Alice for dinner as well as tea, and now I know that banquets are as delicious as the restaurant.

The hotel has been remodel but keeps the old charm which is found in and around Oxford England. Our room was on the small size with great amenities and a photo of Lewis above our bed. The restaurant has quality breakfast and dinner and has a Alice in Wonderland theme. The front desk and door greeters were both professional and Knowledgeable about restaurants and sites in and around Oxford.

We stayed just one night to meet family members for dinner in Oxford. It is very well located for the city cetre. Despite that, it is in a quiet location and we had a good night's rest in a small but comfortable room. It lacks the range of facilites that you may want for a long stay. For example, it has no lounge, restaurant or lifts, which is the only reason I could not give 5 /5 for facilites. What facitlities is does have are good: in room tea and coffee making, television, radio and WiFi. Staff are friendly and helpful. We came by car and used the Park and Ride system, which is excellent. Oxford bus services are good. The hotel is also only a short taxi ride from the station if you go by train. The hotel was ideal for a short stay and we will use it again.

Arrive in Oxford on a cold and cold afternoon, because the previously booked townhouse is particularly unreliable and temporarily changed to this one. When I enter the hotel in the rain, I feel the atmosphere of the home. The reception is not big but it is like a family living room. Special thanks to the beautiful Sophia receptionist at the reception desk, we carefully arranged for the temporary booking. The hotel is on the school campus, and although it is raining, you can walk to most of the attractions. The room has a wall-mounted heater, hot chocolate and tea, which is especially warm and comfortable. Full score!

I love this little boutique hotel. The staff are truly the best - friendly and accommodating. The premises are showing some signs of age but very clean and comfortable. I love the cafe as well - I wish there were some more menu options but what they have is very good. I didn't have a car so parking was not an issue but I do hear that it's limited around the hotel, which sits on a quiet street near the river, about a 15-20 minute walk from Oxford city centre. I've stayed here before and happily will again. (Note that this property is one of many businesses that has gone completely cashless - I don't like not having a cash option but the UK seems to be adopting it at a fast pace)

Nice hotel, well situated. Staff were friendly and very helpful checking in and out and storing bags when I arrived early. Would recommend and go again.

I was recommended to come to this place and it was the best decision ever!! Place was lovely and food was more than great!! I came with my mum and a friend and my mother was the whole dinner saying that the food was more than great!! Which I’m really happy to make that decision. Also just to mention how great and helpful was Alfonso with his recommendations and his knowledge about the plates and allergies and how Kasam was making amazing cocktails that he also choose for us. I will come again for sure!!

The building is the restored prison and is really quirky and steeped in history. Unfortunately, we felt that the hotel relied too much on this and let their customer service slide. We were unable to have breakfast in the hotel-the receptionist told us there was “no availability “ which we thought was strange. The bar is tiny and there is hardly any seating. Our room ( we paid for an upgrade) had no openable windows and the air conditioning control was stuck in one place and could not be operated. We enjoyed our stay but we could have enjoyed it a lot more

Stayed in the shepherds hut for our anniversary and had an absolutely lovely time. It was perfect for autumn, winter snug (in a good way) well furnished and with a log fire. I imagine it would be lovely in summer too as it opens on to the garden. The staff could not have been nicer, Sorin, Gavin and the lovely lady that did housekeeping (didn't catch her name) made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Before we even got there they were super prompt answering questions via email and were happy to help with anything we asked when we arrived. I honestly couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. Thoroughly recommend!

Comfortable clean suite, excellent customer service, friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. I had read in the smaller print that because it is an old building there is some noise transference to rooms above the pub - it was minimal, and because it was mentioned, it did not bother me.

My first experience highlighted the incompetent service. I booked an executive room and was told 6 months later that they had listed it at the wrong price. After confirming the new price, it was clearly confirmed on ***********. The hotel clearly ignore these confirmations because they downgraded me to a classic, but left *********** to charge me the higher price. Hotel not interested, everyone else’s fault. No apology, no compensation. *********** had to contact the hotel and correct the price again. Access code arrived less than 3 hours prior to check-in, which was the first I knew of my downgrade. Classic rooms are OK but very noisy if you’re at the back. Sink plug broken, poor ventilation, good Wi-Fi, clean and comfortable bed. Stayed 2 nights but after first night, no housekeeping, no clean cups, no new toiletries and bottles of water. They have clearly, following the decision to sell, given up. If you haven’t booked already, or have a flexible booking, you might wish to do the same.

I booked the Museum Hotel for a function at Christ Church, after I was too late to arrange a room in college. The location was perfect, right in the town centre and just opposite Christ Church. I stayed in room 5, which had a double bed and just about space to get around the bed. The room is very small. The decor was pleasant, and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. There is a serve-yourself breakfast room, with quite a few options including fruit, cereal, toast, pastries and cereal bars. The member of staff who we met at breakfast time was very charming and helpful. Overall I think the room was expensive for what it was, but this is probably true of many hotels in Oxford, and the location was worth a lot to me.

Room #904. Parking was provided (limited availability, but no problem if you check in early). Nice room, but noisy bunch of young people partying below us that evening and night, but I appreciate that can't be helped while the May VIII's are racing on the river (Bumps). We had some friends join us for supper in ”Keepers' restaurant and bar and were repeatedly hurried by the waitress to get our order in before 8:40pm ”because 9pm is when the chef goes home”. Well it didn't need a 'chef' truly, but the food was acceptable and reasonably priced at £120 for 4 including drinks. No chance of pud though, unless you had ordered it before the watershed. We had bought our own birthday cake, so we had that instead. I can't think of any other European countries where this would happen... We asked if we could leave our car in situ for a few hours after we checked out the following morning and we were accommodated with grace, which was very kind. A well-situated establishment, we paid £150 for the night for a double room in the new block.

I checked in alone and was given a large bed. The customer service and front desk are very polite. During this period, there was construction in the alley next door, and the front desk took the initiative to call me and upgrade me to a privilege room. All in all very satisfied. In addition, the address is very convenient. It is within walking distance from the city center and only a 3-minute walk from the bus stop to the airport. recommend.

The service is very good. The service at breakfast and evening bar is very good, and the price is very good. It is very interesting to meet many grandparents during Christmas. The location and view of the hotel are also great for my liking. We stayed for two nights before going to other cities, but we plan to come back in a week and will continue to choose this hotel. Breakfast has just the right variety, not wasted but great. Very quiet, compact and comfortable. The bedding was very good. I had a good sleep both nights.

The room is quite big, with a bathtub and a balcony. It is a manor-style hotel with very convenient parking and free parking. The snacks provided at the front desk when checking in were pretty good! The breakfast is not bad, the cost is about 20 pounds, and you can order food at the lobby bar, which is quite cost-effective.

I have been visiting this beautiful hotel since last year and love it! It's close enough to walk to the amazing historic Oxford City Centre. The family that run the hotel and all charming and couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, quite a rarity these days. I love great service and this is of the highest standard, thank you all! Highly recommended!😊

The breakfast is good, the environment is also good, not exactly what the hotel is, just like the Chinese bed and breakfast, a room built by a foreigner's villa, the room is too small, two people are OK, the family of three can't turn around. And some distance from Oxford
