"I've always wanted to stay at Lokal when I first heard about their Old City location & wanted to check out their Fishtown spot, so when it was time to book a quick staycation during my birthday weekend I knew I had to choose Lokal. First off, this is unlike any other hotel out there. The location is just a brisk walk away from all the great food and attractions Fishtown has to offer. And the rooms are basically small (and I use the term small lightly as it's quite spacious) apartments! There's a full fledged kitchen, full bath, and even an entire living space aside from the bed area. Oh forgot to mention that each room is even named something quirky or related to Philadelphia (I stayed in "Your Jawn") which added to the charm. Secondly, I love the idea of an invisible service hotel as there is no visible staff there during your stay. Everything is emailed to you beforehand (door codes, house rules, etc.) plus there's even an iPad mounted to the wall for you to order food, turn on the Sonos sound system, etc. So if you ever find yourself in Philly even if it's just for the weekend, look no further than Lokal Hotel!"
"This was the second of the Lokal Hotels that I’ve had the opportunity and pleasure of staying at. I’m always taken back by the beautiful design, thoughtful details, & level of comfort they’re able to achieve at their locations and the Garden Jawn at Lokal Fishtown was no exception. The room was so well put together and felt like my own little apartment. The super comfortable bed and sofa made it hard to want to get up and leave, & Whether I wanted to cook or order take out, I was provided those options via the iPad equipped with instacart & caviar. Living in the city, it’s a challenge to find peace and quiet but they found a way to beautifully muffle out not on the sounds of the city but the train just outside the hotel, it truly felt like a getaway."
"It was my second time in Philly and wanted to explore other parts of the city so I immediately thought of staying at Lokal Fishtown. This new hotel in the area is perfect for a mini weekend getaway solo or with a group of friends! The interiors are just too gorgeous. And it’s so close to cute coffee shops like La Colombe among other well reviewed restaurants. Wish I could have stayed longer!"
