"Upon arrival at 1am, we were greeted by the super friendly Nick. How amazing to be greeted with a friendly face and warm hospitality after a long day traveling. We had a slight mix up with our Travel Agency, and spoke to the Reservations Manager Popi who was super friendly and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Casa Cook Rhodes is super COVID conscious and spotlessly clean; all the staff wear masks and gloves and maintain social distancing. For the 10 days we were on holiday, it was nice to feel really relaxed and to be able to forget about the stresses of coronavirus going on in the outside world. The hotel has a really chic, boho vibe - it's super Instagrammable but it manages to pull it off without being stuffy or pretentious. This is undoubtedly down to the hospitality which is really warm and friendly. If you have any questions or want to know the best places to visit, the staff are really knowledgeable and keen to tell you their favourite places. Alexandra told us the best way to get around and the best sights to see. The rooms are minimalist, spotlessly clean and bright and airy. (Tip: pack a good makeup mirror as the lighting isn't the best for applying make up as it gets darker). The showers are fabulous and the Korres toiletries are a nice touch. Every room has a shared pool and the views are breath-taking. The rooms have a fridge, a safe, a TV and a hairdryer. No tea / coffee facilities in the room, but you won't miss it as the fresh coffee served is fantastic. There's nothing better than opening the curtains to a beautiful pool, and an uninterrupted view of the mountains and the goats dotted around. The food is fantastic. We went half-board and it was so worth it. Because of COVID, there aren't that many places open around the hotel, but we really didn't mind because the food is SO good. We had breakfast delivered to our room; usually an enormous selection of sweet and savoury foods, and fresh coffee and juice. It was so special to enjoy in our room while admiring the spectacular view. The same gentleman delivered breakfast on all but two of the days we stayed, and he was so warm, lovely, polite and cheery. He always took the time to have a chat and ask how we were. We had dinner every night in the restaurant, in the outside seating area. The staff are unbelievable; Dimitris in particular is an absolute asset to the team, and our stay wouldn't have been the same without him. The cocktails are great (try the Paloma!). If you're staying half-board, you're given a selection of starters, a choice of two mains and then a dessert. I'd definitely recommend the lamb shank and orzo. The portion sizes are super generous - you won't go hungry, I can guarantee! It's really easy to get around the island from the hotel. There is a bus stop which is less than a 5 minute walk away (opposite a handy convenience store), and while it was operating on a limited timetable (again, because of COVID)"
"We loved our stay at Casa Cook! The hotel was stylish but laid back with excellent service all round. The setting is absolutely spectacular with views of the hills, complete with mountain goats. The restaurant was very good for all meals but I think if you stayed any longer than we did (four nights) you'd probably end up craving more variety. One suggestion I'd have to them would be to have a daily special to offer more choice. The only warning I'd give is that you are fairly isolated here. That was perfect for us - we wanted to relax and we did hire a car (easily, through the hotel) one day. But if it's nightlife you are after, this is not the place for you. I am now planning to try other hotels in the brand - Crete perhaps?"
"We spent a fabulous week here in October. The setting is stunning, with pristine modern accommodation set against bright blue skies, with the mountains & sea as a backdrop. The restaurant, bar, pool & facilities are all first rate, yet special mention should be made about the staff. To the last man & woman, everyone was super friendly & professional & more than happy to help out - particularly impressive when one considers the difficult environment we currently endure. We can't wait to go back."
