"Let me start with a few bad things. Rooms are small and don't have air conditioning. The food is average, some of the medical personnel is very tip oriented. The good: Location is brilliant, close to everywhere. Bar at the lobby and outside the hotel is very nice. Service is good, drinks are awesome. The real asset of the hotel is the staff! Reception, housekeeping, bell boys and especially wait staff at the dining room are exceptionally nice, friendly, attentive and helpful. Our waiters Valentina and Vitaliy made our dining experience very pleasant and comfortable. Thank you guys! All in all, we had a great time with family and friends at this hotel."
"Hotel Kolonada They barely speak English and they treat you really bad. They advertise Wi-Fi on every tourist sites - THERE IS NO WIFI IN KOLONADA HOTEL, EXCEPT LOBBY AND THEY DON’T CARE IF YOU NEED IT – YEY WAY TO GO Hotel bar is closing at 9 pm and doesn’t matter if they have customers, bartender just doesn’t care. It is like going 30 years back to USSR – that’s what you get in RUSSIAN KOLONADA HOTEL – they all speak RUSSIAN with lack of good manners, lack of education and absolutely there is no customer service and we can’t talk here about any professionalism. First you have to visit DOCTOR who will prescribe you treatment to improve your health during your stay at the hotel. You will never find any diplomas or even certificates in doctor’s office – so nobody knows who are this people who prescribing you such treatments: hanging by the neck in the bath filled with water, some gas injections, electro therapy, gas bath, CO2 bath, filthy massages 20 min each and lots of more funky treatments. Best part of it you have to go naked in the bath under women supervision. This is horrible. In case you bought meal plan you will find same worst food every day. Looks like they re-heated food for lunch and dinner. THIS IS NOT A 4 STARS hotel, because KOLONADA IS A 0 STARS as a personality, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD PREPARATION. It is VERY sad as the city is so beautiful but locals treat tourists in this way, you don't deserve them. Of course i will never come back and of course i will inform people to AVOID THIS PLACE. I felt really disappointed with my wasted vacation time"
"Last sunday 12.08.2018 evening time, around 7pm, i visited the restaurant of the hotel which had terrace outside by the river. At the entrance, of course nobody welcomed, i took a sit. I ordered an Ice Tea and a Cheese Cake. Whithin 5 min i had them on the table. I tasted the Ice Tea which was brought, it did not look presentable and there is no even any taste of tea, it was water with some ice, 2 slices of orange and some mint. I asked polite waiter if is that an ice tea, which he confirmed, i said but it doesn't taste then he replyed that is made by him. Ok great but is not good to serve this in a 4*restaurant. He took arrogantly the glass on the side and asked very rude "What do you want to drink", i answered "thank you nothing, i have my water". In that moment he took the glass from the table and the plate with cheese cacke which was served and ferm said "You go". This is lack of good manners, lack of education and absolutely there is no customer service and we can not talk here about any professionalism. This is horrible, mega desapointed. If you have any problem with tourists and you don't like them, you don't like to serve and to offer a nice service than is not your place here in restaurant of 4*hotel, because you are 0 as a personality and as a Waiter as well. It is so sad as the city is so beautiful but locals treat tourists in this way, you don't deserve them. Of course i will never come back and of course i will inform people to AVOID THIS PLACE. "
