"The hotel is close to Cork city centre, with convenient transportation and a good local hotel. The interior is fully equipped and the service is very welcoming. It can also be accommodated 1-2 hours in advance. There are restaurants in the bar, but there are fewer varieties of breakfast."
"The hotel manager was very rude and the service was poor. The environment is good, but there is absolutely no need to spend such a price and be treated rudely. Not to mention there are more affordable hotels nearby."
"The facilities are a bit old, the price is high, and the price is average"

"My husband and I celebrated a significant birthday this weekend with a Mini-Moon package at the Vienna Woods. Although we are both from Cork, neither of us had ever been to the hotel before. Our experience was beyond compare at every stage. The hotel is charming; a delightful blend of old and new. Decor is tasteful and appropriate. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our bedroom was magnificent. The dinner was outstanding with an excellent menu that delivered way beyond expectation. Breakfast was superb, offering a vast range pleasing both the healthy and the treat agendas. Above all though, the service was heartwarming. It felt like a family had opened their home to us. Darren guided me through the booking. His advice was welcome and spot on. Marcin and Encarna served our amazing dinner with aplomb and style. Thank you Encarna for decorating our table with a big bunch of "Happy Birthday" balloons! Shulagh's attention and smiles at breakfast were a wonderful start to the day. And Susan at reception was so graciously accommodating in every way. Thank you to you all for making our stay in your very beautiful hotel so memorable. Highly recommended. We can't wait to return!"
"We got married here, having had the ceremony and the reception in this beautiful location. From our very first meeting with Adina, the Wedding Coordinator, we were made to feel both relaxed and yet a professional approach was maintained. This continued with each meeting. On the day of the event the level of attention paid to us and our guests could not be overstated, nothing was too much trouble. Also, noted the constant cleaning discretely taking place in the background necessary during these troubled times. The meal was exceptional in both presentation and taste. Our thanks and appreciation to Adina, John, Kyran, Valerie and all the staff for helping to make this day so memorial to us and our guests. "
"This has to be the hidden gem of Cork. From the time we arrived to our departure it was a most enjoyable experience. This cosy hotel is full of old world charm and character mingled with contemporary bedrooms. The staff were friendly, chatty and efficient However two ladies deserve a special mention. Incepta in the dining room couldn't do enough to make your meal enjoyable in such a friendly manner and Shulagh who was there to greet you for breakfast and make you feel so welcome. The food was fantastic in Vienna Woods in either the bar or restaurant. We stayed for three nights and look forward to returning again. In the current challenging times we hope you stay safe and wish you all the best."

"Just arrived home from a family/girlie weekend in this fabulous City or Cork where the weekend could of been horrific after a lockdown! This hotel and it's super friendly, on it staff made our visit harmless under the circumstances that were surrounding us. From the start of our welcome to the clean comfortable rooms that had fridges, fluffy towels, ironing board, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and if you were fortunate a room with a view, to the super friendly staff! Big shout out to our new friend Majella who welcomed us at morning breakfast with her Irish wit and sense of humour...adorable and couldn't do enough from accommodating our needs to advice as to where to visit. This hotel is open and modern and just a short walking distance to the City centre and situated right on the river Lee Bus station around the corner. When and not if I and my friends come to Cork again (already looking for an excuse), we will definitely be coming back here! One criticism...we were on the 4th floor and could overlook the atrium, they need to dust their Golden Balls! "
"We had a client event for approx 50 people in the hotel and it went really smoothly. Very good food for our event (red Thai curry delicious) and service and the AV system worked perfectly. We also overnighted in hotel and also very good but room a bit stuffy and when window opened there was some noise outside. Breakfast scrambled eggs were left too long in the Bain Marie and they were turning green from overcooking but once alerted to this the waitress had them changed promptly. My colleague’s breakfast omelette was huge. Must have been 5 eggs in it! Staff in hotel all eager to help and receptionist on checkout very efficient and friendly. Car parking onsite is a plus. Would return definitely. "
"I came over to Cork with a few girl friends to celebrate my cousins birthday. The hotel was situated perfectly for us. In the morning when we had breakfast Majella greeted us with a smile and couldn't do enough for us and gave us advise where to visit ie pubs with traditional music by Saturday a lot of pubs had decided to close by Sunday all. It didn't affect us that much as we were with family and the party went ahead as planned minus a lot of people. Can I say one thing thumbs up to the way Ireland are dealing with Cornonvirus and social distancing is so key."

"I had a lovely girls night out last weekend. The bar is cosy and the staff was friendly, they did everything to made us feel welcome there. They are doing all the measures about social distance and hygiene against covid, it's a safe place to spend your time. The cocktails were amazing, Ive got drinks that it wasn't on the menu. And the food was fabulous - I recommend the crab spring roll. I definitely will come back."

"We continue to choose the Kingsley for our monthly trips to Cork as the staff in the hotel are friendly and courteous and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The front desk staff are always helpful with our requests (accessible bathroom, quiet room etc), the breakfast buffet is extensive and the kitchen staff are always helpful in whipping up tasty vegan options. The hotel is close to CUH and the city centre and offers extensive free parking making it a great option for those making regular trips. "

"We called here on spec on Thursday last after a walk in Blarney Castle. I have never been here to eat before. We called in and were greeted and seated upon arrival with a lovely table by the fire. There were 4 of us in total. We got our drinks quickly and upon recommendation of the lady serving us went for 2 monkfish and 2 turkey and ham. The food here was really good. The monkfish was served with a lovely hint of lemon with basil sauce and sunblushed tomatoes and sautéed potatoes. The turkey and ham was delicious and served with a tasty stuffing. The staff here are very attentive and friendly and will return again for sure. There is a good selection of wines on offer and also the men loved the pints. It seems like a popular spot with the locals as there were a lot of people eating here. I will recommend this place to others."
"If you want an are that screams what your thoughts of Ireland should be, it's Blarney. This is a quaint hotel with unbelievable food, huge comfortable rooms, an amazing staff and a most traditional pub. The first night we were there, Tuesday, there were local musicians that jam traditional Irish music. It was amazing! Our bartender Delores, told us a great story of her mom, who worked at the local wool mill for 30 years before it shut down, would bring her to this hotel for dinners when she was little. She gets recognized regularly as that little girl from the past. She also explained what make the perfect and only way to make traditional Irish Coffee. None better anywhere in Ireland. You will just have to go and get one from her."
"Occasionally I call in for a coffee and scone after dropping the children to school in the morning. This is the nicest coffee around and with freshly made scones warm and just out of the oven. If we have a family occasion we always come here as we know we will be well looked after. We have had birthday parties, communion parties and other family occasions and it never fails to hit the right spot. What a delight with always great service and such a warm welcome from all the staff and very good value for money."

"We arrived on Friday night on 6th of March it was just short of midnight. It was a break away for my fiance and our daughter to visit two terminally ill family members. We were welcomed by lovely night staff who were very helpful and friendly and very swift with our check in. When we got to our room we noticed a sign on the door which said room free for servicing but we tought it may have been a mistake. We went into the room and it was absolutely filthy towels on the floo in the bathroom dirty cups all over the place smelling of cigarettes smoke and this was at the start of the COVID pandemic. We went and spoke to night staff and again were very helpful and gave us a beautiful clean room. Following morning after a good sleep we went for breakfast and the restaurant was very poorly lit in my opinion but the food looked good.it was self service for my coffee so as I took the mug on the table it was full of tea stains absolutely disgusted I decided to take a look around the juice area and the glasses there were also filthy. I was absolutely disappointed more to this dirt in a 4* hotel. The food tasted absolutely good. After we ate breakfast I asked to speak to the duty manager who to my disappointment turned out to be who I believe was the restaurant manager on duty at this time. We sat and she did listen to my problem where she went on to offer us complementary meal which was absolutely beautiful top marks. The chefs are wasted in this hotel. We felt that we were fobbed off with a free meal. So I tried to contact the General manager and she was off so on the Monday after we arrived home I sent the manager a complaint and the manager was quick with her response saying she would investigate and as off the 30th of March I have not a response I understand the covid pandemic more so why the hotel should have been cleaned properly."
"A quick note, to say a very genuine thank you to Jessica, Tracy & Grace. Their kindness & professionalism helped make our stay a memorable one. There is no doubt in my that the people who work in hotel are critical to ensuring a stay is remembered and enjoyed and the three of you could not have been any sounder and down to earth whilst also showing expertise in looking after a busy hotel during unbelievably tricky Covid 19 times. Thank you, for looking after us and I really hope to come back to stay with you in the very near future."
"I visited Silver springs today and got a lovely warm welcome from Lorna, I lip read and she was so patient, friendly and welcoming and I wasnt even staying there. An exceptional receptionist that should be recognised by Silver springs Hotel and I'm sure she is- hotel was spotless as always and so reassuring to see all covid measurements in place with huge easy to read banners in place. Well done to all."

"I visited Metropole Hotel with my family during our last vacay in Greece. It was the first time that we visited this part of Greece and we are really satisfied with our hotel choice. Everyone who works in the hotel is really friendly and helpful, providing tips about the near beaches as well as restaurants or "taverna" in the local area and in Litochoro. Both of the rooms that we booked were clean and quite throughout the day. Also, the breakfast was quite good, the best start for our days. I would recommend this family business as a place to stay and relax during your holidays and definitely great as value for money. Thanks for everything once again!"
"Never before have we ever experienced the service and professionalism than on our stay here. We were treated like royalty. Staff went above and beyond. Concierge was utterly amazing (we love John) The Bar, Restaurant, Afternoon Tea, putting our bags in our room, opening doors, calling our taxis, providing umbrellas for the rain, special birthday treats. Most amazing hotel staff ever. Beautiful hotel and we will be back. Food, Drink, Service and Comfort will not be beaten. Thank you all so much. Serhena Marisa Mary & Naomi x "
"Great family owned Hotel - Value for money! The Hotel is located only 5' walking distance from the main train station and the city center.Has a large parking space if you go there by car and a pool. It is very clean overall and the best part are the nice balconies with view of Mt. Olympus from one side and Leptokarya on the other. The family of Mr. Tasos who owns the hotel was extremely accommodating and provided us with some great tips about the local area (where to go for food etc). We are coming back next year for sure!!"
