Uferpromenade 11, Meersburg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"We stayed at this hotel for the Memorial Day weekend in 2017. Our main destination was to visit Mainau (Flower Island). We chose a double room. It was clean, with a lanai and direct access to the hotel garden. The room was very quiet and we never saw the housekeeping staff come or go. Parking at the hotel cost 12 Euros for our 4-Day stay. The reception at the hotel was outstanding! We arrived around 2:00PM and were presented with a lovely array of refreshing drinks, cheeses, olives, & nuts as we waited for our room to be ready. The receptionist spoke great English and was very helpful in offering sites for us to visit in Meersburg and the location of the Ferry stop, The ferry stop was only a 5-minute walk from the hotel which was perfect for our trip over to Mainau Island. The hotel had to restaurants, an expensive one, and a more expensive one. The cuisine was quite delicious, but I'm sure that the only difference between the two was that the more pricey restaurant had tablecloths and the expensive one did not. They did offer a 3- and 4-course daily menu option that lessened the sting a bit on your purse. The hotel did not have its own pool, but the Lido was directly across the street and the hotel provided coupons for entry. The absolute best part of this stay was enjoying breakfast and dinner on the restaurant patio with the Bodensee and the Swiss Alps in the background. It is absolutely our favorite region of Baden-Wurttemberg to visit."
"My husband and I wanted a holiday weekend getaway, not too far from Munich but still different. When I stumbled across information on Mainau and nearby Meersburg, I was sold. Most places in Meersburg were sold out, so I decided to splurge on the Romantik Hotel. The location was perfect both for exploring the town and catching the ferry. Not too close to the crowds but an easy walk. The hotel itself is lovely, the room comfortable, and the staff exceptionally welcoming. The included meals were delicious, and because everything about the setup was so inviting I didn't even mind staying in the room and postponing some sightseeing for a couple of hours during a sudden heavy thunderstorm."
"We stayed at the Residenz am see for one week in 2018. Liked it so much we came back. It is a wonderful place. Dinner is exquisitely cooked and prepared, the restaurant staff is first rate, and breakfast is a delight too. Rooms are most comfortable. We had a view across the lake, and of course a lovely Olympic size pool is just across the road. The hotel is just out of the main town and that’s good. Boats leave for most destinations on the Bodensee from the dock in Meersburg. Reception staff are always helpful and go above and beyond to assist. If you have a chance - stay here you will not regret it."

Auf der Insel 1, Konstanz, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"Hotel service is good. The hotel was rebuilt after the activation of the ancient church. On the way to the room, you can see the murals refurbished by the church. It has a retro literary atmosphere. The rooms are new and the space is very large. The rooms in the lake view can be seen from the view of lake konstanz without leaving the house. The hotel is located in the city centre and you can walk to the city after you have left your luggage. Tourists arriving in Konstanz are required to pay a tourist tax, which already includes a free transport ticket. The breakfast is very rich and the view is superb."
"I gave five stars to all the items. This hotel is in the best location in the city center, and is more cost effective than other hotels next to it. Such a resort hotel is quite rare in Germany."
"Breakfast meals of the hotel are good. The hotel is opposite a lake, where you can see ducks swimming. The receptionist received my package and sent it to my room. It's so nice."

Seestrasse 11, Gottlieben, Thurgau, Switzerland
"During our recent visit to Switzerland we booked this hotel directly over the internet without experiencing this product beforehand and I must admit this hotel blow me away, with location, presentation and professionalism. The location was private and a little outside to where we were planning to get married. The building is 400 years old and the team have kept the character of hotel but also modernised it so that you get the best of both worlds. The hotel has kept its original staircase which is very steep and could be a challenge for the elderly, but the hotel has installed a lift to overcome this. We booked ourselves into the Junior Suite that did not disappoint at all, the modern lighting mixed with a traditional ceiling and timber floors made the hotel room feel very welcoming. The bathroom was huge, the shower ran the length of the bathroom. Traveling internationally I would have liked a little more bench space but this is just personal preference. The suite also had a sperate WC which was an advantage during the stay. The Suite also had a good size sitting area in front of floor to ceiling picture of Marie Antoinette. The view from the room was to die for, waking up every morning and looking out the window over Lake Constance was a great way to start the day. The Hotel restaurant was small and relaxing, it was not oversized like others. We only had breakfast here, they served the traditional European Breakfast that was fresh and well presented. The best thing about this restaurant was the deck that stood over the Rhine River. One could laze around and watch the day go by and not care, as the running water passes you by and sunshine’s on you one just relaxes and enjoys the company one has around them. The staff’s presentation was on point, always professional and well informed this followed through the whole hotel, clean in all public areas and the lighting was warm and welcoming."
"Had coffe on the waterside terrace in late morning. GREAT! Dinner in the early after a wonderful boat ride and hike. Also GREAT. Wonderful fish dishes, very nicely presented. The terrace right on the water, shaded, couldn't be better. The rooms are very nice, big, comfortable, brandnew modern bathrooms. Looking forward to going there again!"

Hauptstrasse 54, Guttingen, Thurgau, Switzerland
"Set on a hill overlooking Lake Constance, Seemöwe Swiss Quality Hotel is located in Güttingen, just a 10-minute walk from the lakeshore. The hotel was enlarged in 2016 by the Lindeneck residence, a historic half-timbered building operating as a 3-star hotel. Both hotels have been completely renovated. There are 3 restaurants on site, and free private parking is available. Classic Swiss cuisine and international dishes can be enjoyed at the restaurants. There is also a country-style bistro bar, a large lakeside terrace, and a glass pavilion overlooking the lake. The rooms have a seating area, flat-screen TV, large desk, minibar, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Most have a view of the lake. The garden features a children’s playground. Guests can rent electric bicycles to explore the surroundings and use the nearby Bodensee Bicycle Trail. The underground car park at Hotel Restaurant Seemöwe can be used at an additional cost. Kreuzlingen and Romanshorn are a 13-minute drive away."

Hans-Sauerbruch-Straße 2, Konstanz, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"We absolutely loved our stay at HARBR. The boutique hotel was just the right amount of trendy for us. Great decor and service. We rented one of the "apartments" that had a large living space with kitchenette and w/c on one floor with stairs heading up to a "loft" area where the bed and main bathroom was located. We had great views out toward the park near the lake. The hotel was a bit further out from the old city center than we expected, but that wasn't the hotel's fault, just ours as it was our first visit to Konstanz. It was a 15 minute walk, and a lovely walk at that. There was also a bus line right outside the hotel we could have used for going further distances. Happy that the hotel offered parking (NOT included in the lodging price) with in and out privilages as we had driven our own car to the hotel, and used it to get to some of the sights a bit further away (Mainau Island, Rhinefalls). The morning breakfast buffet was extensive, and to assure proper distancing you had to sign up for set time. For us that was perfect as we could change the time each day of our stay dependent on our other activities. We would happily stay at this hotel again."
"I recently stayed at HARBR for four nights in pretty Konstanz. The staff were wonderful, the property location convenient, and best of all, I had obtained a really reasonable price for the lovely two level suite. The size of the space was appealing, as well as the style and decor, in particular the look and customizable features of the lighting. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. I stay at anywhere from three to five star properties, and, having stayed at 45 total last year alone, I know what to reasonably and realistically expect of various properties according to the star system. One thing that impressed me about this suite was the automatic blinds (probably of necessity, as the windows are floor to ceiling), but this is a fancy feature that I’d previously only seen at a 400 a night five star in Switzerland (I was impressed then, too). I would highly recommend this cute hotel. They also give a discount on longer stays, such as two weeks."
"The location was great right next to the old town but on the north bank so quieter and easier driving and parking. The staff were helpful and polite and the design was modern and fun with a nautical theme. There was a great breakfast and parking underground at the hotel was easy. The rooms were quite small for the money and had some glaring issues. There were no blinds or net curtains, only blackouts, so you had no privacy or total blackout. Didn’t feel comfortable leaving the bathroom naked for all the street to see. The “wardrobe” was a sheet of canvas and a pipe with tiny shelves. No storage space and only 4 coat hangers! There was no fridge to keep anything cool and there was no phone in the room to call reception, so you literally had to go down and see them. We needed an iron and ironing board and were told there was only 1 in the hotel. This had been highlighted a few times by other TA reviewers and management responded months ago that more had been ordered, well as of this week, there still none. It is a nice hotel but these basic issues were annoying when you’re paying €175 per night."

Sigismundstrasse 19, Konstanz, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"This hotel is a bit on the unusual site. It is not a hotel in the usual sense, one has rather the feeling that it is a block of flats being rented out to guests. It is in an office building where it resides in the top floors. Unfortunately there are no local parking lots, you can just leave your car for loading and unloading, then you have to move your car to one of the local car parks (about 5-10 minutes by foot). There is also a place where you can leave your bike, but we felt that this area is not safe enough for expensive bikes (it is not even directly on the premises). Apart from that we were extremely positively surprised about this hotel. We have a large and bright double room very new, very clean, very well maintained and also very quiet. The topmost floor contains the reception and the breakfast/evening area with an incredible view over Konstanz. There is also an open terrace where you can have your breakfast and your sundowner. Talking about breakfast: They did a great job here, even though we were there in Corona times. The choice is fantastic, there are eggs, bacon, all kinds of french rolls (including full-wheat ones), great juices, all kinds of spreads and they bring you a fantastic selection of cheese and sausage (including an incredible Bodenseeschinken), Muesli,…. Add to this an incredible service, be it the folks at the breakfast table who were always helpful and attentive, be it the cleaning staff that did a great job and you understand why we think that this is a great hotel for a Konstanz excursion, nicely located right in the heart of the city."
"We stayed in one of the hotel's apartments for 2 nights in August. The location is super convenient - 2 minutes' walk from the train station. The room had a kitchenette, lots of space and everything was spanking clean. Check-in, check-out and breakfast are well-organized. The staff are super-nice and do their utmost to make the guests feel welcome and at ease with the COVID restrictions. The breakfast was delicious and generous, with both hot and cold dishes on offer. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, and the view of the lake is captivating. The location is quiet, but we were woken up by the garbage trucks on the first morning at about 8:30am - this is to be expected when staying in a city center. All in all, very good value for the money, and we would stay here again."
"we had the Kambodscha suite for a few days during the week for 200 Euro a night, including breakfast (August 2018). Beautiful clean room with an in room whirlpool that worked fine but is rather something for winter, we concluded. Excellent shower. The breakfast is buffet style and quite nice. Highlight for me were waffles that one can prepare freshly oneself. Everything is very informal here and very friendly, which very well suits our taste, but perhaps not everyones. There is a bit of noise from the street in the morning (city bus driving by, etc., but no other traffic as the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone) which disturbs a bit when windows are open. I used ear plugs the second night and slept like a baby."
