"If you want to experience the original Tuscan countryside life, it's right to come here~ From the car to Florence, the scenery is very beautiful. The estate is located in the Chianti wine region, surrounded by vineyards and offering wine tours. Most of the poolside is the Englishman who comes to the sun, as well as tennis courts and cooking classes. The room is rustic + antique style, more comfortable, it is best to book the room facing the valley in advance. The cook is very cute, the candlelight dinner in the sunset, I didn't expect much, but it was much better than the local family restaurants in Florence. The couple of the owner of the estate are very enthusiastic, take me to the side in the orchard and eat and explain hahaha~ and let me bring words to everyone, welcome Chinese to play ~"

"We stayed here for 5 nights and used it as a base to visit nearby cities and villages. Location: 4/5 - The views are absolutely beautiful and cannot be beaten, but the small road up to the hotel is crazy steep and has blind bends with only room for one car - it feels like an accident waiting to happen! Local train station is 10 mins drive away and on a 30min line to Florence - Parking was a nightmare though as locals obviously use it to commute. Spa: 5/5- Absolute pure luxury! Exactly how it looks on the pictures. Couldn’t ask for more. If you want a luxury spa you won’t be disappointed. Room: 2.5/5 -Pretty, rustic and clean but in need of a polish. Discolouration of bathroom tiles...etc. We also suffered a plague of insects. The first few days we saw a few beetles and squished them -no issue but we had to keep windows closed. On the last night we couldn’t sleep there were so many and must have killed about 30. We were moved rooms (at midnight) to escape them but given we had to wake up to fly at 6am this was inconvenient. We were told other rooms in the same area of the hotel were suffering the same issues. I understand that it’s the time of year...etc but a luxury 4* hotel should not have guests being evacuated from rooms due to bugs. No excuses. Staff 5/5- The staff were lovely, our receptionist was very helpful and the restaurant staff very polite. There was a language barrier (mainly in restaurant) as some staff speak better English than others and it did cause confusion one evening which was frustrating. However, their English was still far better than our Italian so can’t complain! The chap who dealt with us on our last night (when we had to change rooms due to bugs) was very professional and quick to help us which made the situation a bit better."
"We wanted to visit this restaurant because we have had food made off the chef Federico Cardi. He was not at work this evening, but the food had the samen level as he normaly do. High level, and service with a great sence of humor. And the prices is in same level as in other restaurant in the area. We wiil come bach"

"What an absolutely stunning hotel. We booked this hotel because we made a dinner reservation at Dario Cecchini’s restaurant located across the square. The village itself is stunning and tranquil. The reception at the hotel was first class, friendly and very helpful. The facilities are very good. The swimming pool was wonderful. We enjoyed a swim. The garden is stunning and well cared for. The breakfast was very good and stunning enjoyed on the terrace. The room was beautifully tastefully decorated and is very comfortable. We cannot wait to return! "
"We enjoyed our 2 night stay here in a room with a terrace. Highly recommend buying wine from the honor bar on the first floor and enjoy it on the terrace! Friendly, helpful staff. Fabio helped with restaurant recommendations and making reservations. Clean, spacious, comfortable room. Breakfast was tasty with friendly service. No issues with parking. i Parking was on the street or at a free public parking lot. Easy to find places to eat and drink for dinner. We regretted not staying here longer."
"We visited just two weeks after the reopening after the renovation. The hotel is beautiful! A wonderfull combinatie of old and new and the Decamarone-theme is done very modern and tastefull. Our room was big, nice view, good bed and bathroom and airconditioning. Yummy breakfast and great service!"

"We can’t express how much we loved our stay here. It was way too short and we immediately said we need to come back here. It was our best stay from our Italy honeymoon trip. The view is fantastic, the room was so beautiful and it had a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was so good, the best we had in our trip through Italy. My husband loved the heated pool :) We got to visit the new wineshop and it was amazing. All necessary precautions were taken for Covid and we felt safe every minute. The true gem of this wonderful place is the fantastic people who work here. Thank you so much for our lovely stay and for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to our next visit here! Kindest wishes, Hanne & Christof"
"Where to start! We loved every aspect of our stay at Borgo del Cabreo. Firstly the location, so peaceful with beautiful views in every direction. Our room ‘The Villa’ spacious, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable with beautiful decor & an amazing hammock on the lawn in front. A delicious breakfast each morning served by smiling, charming staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone did their absolute best during the difficult Covid situation. Food was arranged & ordered in for us once all restaurants closed for dinner. We felt safe & tucked away from it all & loved it so much we extended our stay. We hope to return someday soon. Grazie mille"
"We came on a romantic weekend away to enjoy the wine and food in the region and we were not disappointed. The staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. We came without any firm plans due to Covid and they arranged several meals in local restaurants all of which were delicious. Michele even drove us to some of the hilltop venues we booked. The rooms are spotless with picturesque terraces and views. The only warning is it’s hilltop location is steep for any travellers with out a car. I would definitely recommend this hotel If you’re looking for a quiet and romantic break, stop searching and book this hotel!"

"Waking up everyday with the view of a lifetime! My new bride in my arms and the view of the Tuscan country side within sight 12 nights wasn’t long enough when your here with the Villa Paligina family. Within the first day we knew we made the right choice to make our memories here. We were surprisingly upgraded from a beautiful room to the grand sweet with a beautiful Juliet balcony. No one new it was our honeymoon until later in the week but was greeted with such wonderful happiness; like as if the staff knew. In all my travels I have never experienced such wonderful honest true to heart people. From the garden to the head chef we were treated like family. My new wife and I will be making this our new tradition and returning here often. The grounds are spectacular, with a masterpiece around each corner, it’s like walking into a famous painting at every turn. We have made many friends here and have been added to our social media. We even received the recipes from our new friend and amazing Chef who teaches the cooking class at Villa Paladina. We highly recommend taking their Italian cooking class. Even though we rented a car for expoing the countryside, everything offered at Villa Paladins is truly an all inclusive experience. We really enjoyed dressing up for dinner. Felt like we were in a movie and was treated as such. We miss the wonderful head waiter who would make us laugh and really make us feel special. The in depth knowledge of the master wine captain was phenomenal. He was spot on when paring wines with each meal. Thank you"
"We have had our first of many trips to come last week. It was the most relaxing, beautiful trip we have had. It is a 45 minute drive into Florence, and similar to Siena and other places, but the location cannot be beat. I had wonderful breakfasts every morning, and then could explore and begin the day. Renato the desk clerk as well as a lovely blonde lady who I didn't catch her name, were incredibly warm and helpful-Actually every employee we encountered was the same. We will be returning as often as possible whenever we need a break!"
"Driving through the vineyards to get to the hotel didn't prepare us for this grand mansion sitting onto of the hill. The views were amazing from the hotel and the pool overlooked the vineyards and valley, allowing you to just relax and enjoy the peace and scenery. Rooms were nice but I think the top rooms which we got were not as grand as the ones on the first floor. But the location and scenery made up for it!"

"We booked rooms here for a party of 10, after visiting a few years prior. Soooo glad we did. We couldn't get rooms in the castle itself because of a wedding party, but it turned out for the best. The "apartments" up the hill afforded a stunning view of the castle (something you wouldn't get if you were staying IN the castle), so I highly recommend those rooms. Very spacious with private bedrooms and bathrooms for all five couples in our party (we had a 2-room suite and a 3-room suite). Great location for castle-hopping and visiting the local wineries. This was our third trip to Tuscany and we would definitely recommend Meleto. The Escape Room was the hardest one we've ever done (we didn't escape!), and the wine tasting was a little disorganized, but we didn't care. The infinity pools, the breakfast buffet and the English-speaking hospitality more than made up for that. Don't expect A/C! Or just lower your standards if you're used to American central air. Or go in the fall/spring when temps are lower. I highly recommend this location."
"Stayed 2 nights at the castle. Nice and quiet environment with spacious rooms. Although the new bathroom fixtures were creaky with every step on the ground, its understandable as its installed within a old structure. Its a nice holiday break away from the city with basic comforts of home. Breakfast was also fantastic despite the simplicity. A nice tour followed by wine tasting from the castle's vineyard is also included in the booking."
"Stay in a Castle, also a winery was a dream from both of us... and Castello di Meleto met it all. The small environment/# of guest makes the experience more personal. Be prepared to face the Italy roads... it's bit challenge for North America driver."

"Beautiful setting, but uncomfortable beds, awkward bathroom...furniture in need of refurbishing and road to the villa was a hard drive. Very small kitchen, but the cook we hired did an amazing job. Everything was very fresh and well presented. We would have liked more walking paths..we did watch for wild boar but did not see any."

"One of the best holidays we’ve been on I think. Beautiful hotel in the Tuscan hills with fantastic views and very well located for visiting Florence as well as some of the smaller towns around. Room was very high standard and cleaned well, very good breakfast and great service from everyone here. Pool area looked great but was a bit chilly for the time of our stay. Didn’t get to sample the restaurant but was always very busy and I’m told very nice. Some great restaurants nearby within 15-20 minute drive. Highly recommended and hope to return one day. "
"My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 3 wonderful nights. The staff were so friendly and so welcoming, there were no expectations. The food was great (make sure you have the taster menu with wine pairing, it is amazing value for money), the wine was perfect and the location is stunning. After our stay here, we went on to another hotel that was much more expensive, but didn't live up to Resort 37. We really enjoyed our time here."
"The rooms are nice, clean and big. The bed is very comfortable. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. And we had our breakfast with a breath taking view. There is a swimming pool, and free parking. The only down thing is that the are no room service, you order and pick up your food. It was truly unfortunate we can only stay one night. It is now one of our favorite places in florence. We are definitely coming back again "

"We stayed 3 nights as a part of a cruise extension. The grounds and surrounding areas are really lovely - exactly how I imagined a Tuscan landscape. The resort has some very pleasant outdoor spots for dining al fresco and just sitting, including a couple of stunning grape arbors shading the patios. The breakfasts were fine, nothing fancy and not much variety. We had 2 dinners there that were quite good with nice regional wines. The personnel were all friendly. Our room was nice if on the small side. A king sized bed took up a lot of it but the small window had a great view. It had a slightly rustic Tuscan feel decor-wise. The room had A/C which was nice for sleeping. I had only 2 criticisms. The bathroom was short on toiletries. One small bar of soap shared between the tub and sink and 2 tiny bottles of shampoo. Most nice hotels provide the bare minimum - even HI Express provides more than the Villa. So they need to step it up. The other drawback is the horrible road to the Villa. The road is twisty anyway but not having it paved makes for a rough, uncomfortable ride. All in all this is a very nice place to stay in Tuscany. "
"We enjoyed our stay at the Le Veronica Resort. All the Trip Advisor reviews have been spot on. Yes the ride up to La Veronica Resort is not for the fair in heart, but the ride is well worth the climb. All I can say it is the views are beautiful and breathtaking. The beds are very firm. Lucas the waiter at the restaurant can be a little overbearing at times and may be a little offensive but it seems to be a little hit or miss...depending on how much wine you have consumed during your meal. If he would have been a little more tactic in his approach, I would probably overlooked the mattress situation and given the place an excellent 5 star recommendation. "
"We enjoyed our 1 night stay there as part of a self guided bike tour in Tuscany. The grounds are spectacular. I’ve read other reviews about dinner , but there was no such option when we were there , we went into the town of Greve by arranged transport instead. Breakfast was wonderful ... the beds are VERY firm. The staff were very very hospitable . The pool is was very refreshing and set on a lovely spot. Warning: if you are cycling to this resort ... the road from the main road is very steep (uphill)on gravel and uneven for over 1.5km.. Not pleasant on a bicycle . Would be nice to have a paved road eventually. This is the only reason I rated as a 4 ⭐️ "
