Via Enrico Caronti 69, Blevio, Lombardy, Italy
"The hotel is stunning with truly world class service and accommodation. The property is gorgeous, with lots of pathways to explore the many views of the lakefront. The landscaping details are exceptional and the attention to detail in the rooms is unsurpassed. From the teas, to the minibar, to the shower amenities, everything is top of the line. The spa area is absolutely beautiful and a very nice setting to relax, while we did not use the outdoor pool or boat services, as we visited in late fall (although they were still available). The gym is great, with top of the line equipment and everything you could need for a full workout. The breakfast at L'Aria Restaurant was simply the BEST breakfast I ever had in my life. The offers can be combined to taste, and nothing is left out. The dining at CO.MO bar and bistro was also a great experience, the food was exceptional and can be paired with a fabulous selection of wines and cocktails. From the welcome to the checkout, the staff were welcoming, inviting, and genuine. No detail was left out and we felt like we had everything we needed at all times. As we were celebrating a special milestone, extra care was taken to ensure that our experience was unforgettable."
"It’s really hard to put into words how incredible this hotel is, I almost do not want too because I would like to keep it secret, it’s a jewel and truly a 100% luxury hotel. The service was excellent, food sublime and I had the best massage by Francesca. I have had a few, in some beautiful locations but this rates as one of the best. Lake como is stunning and the MO sits in the hillside. The hotel is on several levels and there are golf carts to run you around. There is an underground car park. The rooms are sumptuous, a lake view is a must. Every single thing is thought out and done with Italian style. It’s fair to say my hubby and I are smitten and we will be returning A special shout out to David the concierge... terrific at his job. This hotel is exceptional."
"We were very impressed by this new MO property. We stay frequently at the Mandarins in Hong Kong, and appreciated the welcome we received from reception. We were upgraded to a very nice—and huge—room with a large garden overlooking the lake. We were most impressed by the hotel grounds, which are very large and park-like, with many (and varied) locations where one can sit (with or without service) and enjoy peaceful lake views. Guests are driven around on golf carts because of the size. Overall, our impression is that this is what Villa d’Este should have been, but in our opinion never was. This property has that pretentious old dowager beaten by a mile. We plan to return when it reopens in the Spring."

Via IV Novembre 18, Varenna, Lombardy, Italy
"We had a four day stay at the hotel a few weeks ago and was able to enjoy a spacious room overlooking the lake. I came here several years ago for a summer wedding and was impressed at the lovely views and how picturesque it is (postcard perfect) so we decided to stay for a short weekend trip in November. First thing - November weather was certainly cooler and rainy but does not diminish the beauty of the scenery, just veils it giving it rather a mysterious flair. We had a lake view room in low season which ran us a hefty 280 euros per night. The room itself was clean with an upstairs loft but there was not much character to the room - all the character in the hotel is downstairs in the common areas, ballrooms, breakfast terrace etc. That being said, it was a still a good room, with heating that worked, beds which were really comfortable and a satisfying shower (rain shower as well hand held sprayer). The hotel’s terrace is normally lovely but at the end of the season, it was closed as was the gardens. This makes it a bit difficult to really enjoy the property, grab a drink on the terrace or enjoy a meal overlooking the lake. It is not the hotel’s fault, it is just something to know for when you travel to the area at the end of the season - stores/ hotels and restaurants around the lake started closing for the winter so come earlier if you want to enjoy the Lake Como experience a bit more. The service at the hotel was mainly the front desk who handled everything for you, the cleaning staff who were friendly, and breakfast staff - also helpful and efficient. I am not sure I would make it back here again though as the price is quite steep for a hotel with limited facilities during this season. In the summer - this would be well worth it as you could take a dip in the lake, eat on the patio and have a drink on the terrace. But for off season visits - I would perhaps consider a B&B for a different type of stay in the area."
"We were here for our honeymoon for 4 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel was perfectly located, steps from the main square in Varenna and popular restaurants. The hotel was clean, well staffed, great lobby and all the amenities. The staff was so friendly, eager to help and spoke great English. We stayed in the junior suite Bellagio with a lake view. The only room with a balcony- absolutely breathtaking. The view from the room was incredible and a dream come true. The bed was clean and comfy and a welcome relief from a long day of travel. There was also great espresso in our room! Helped jumpstart our day. Our breakfast was included in our stay and was more than anyone could ask for. Eggs, bacon, Italian sausage (wieners), croissants, pastries, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice and Prosecco for Mimosas! And of course, coffee or tea. We were also given a voucher for a welcome drink upon checkin, which we accepted at the lobby bar :) They have an awesome terrace to sit or walk around and enjoy the property and your drink. This hotel is what Instagram posts are made of. We had an overall fantastic stay! Highly recommend."
"We stayed at the Hotel Vill Cipressi in late Sept. 2019 and could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived to the time we departed the service was exceptional and the people could not have been nicer. We had a large comfortable room overlooking the lake. It was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was superb and had a large variety of treats. The hotel helped us arrange dinner reservations as well as a private 2 hour tour of the lake. The setting will take your breath away. As an example of how exceptional the service was, when I called for a bellman to help with our luggage upon departure, I waited about 5 minutes and the hotel manager himself came to carry our bags because he did not want us to wait. You just don't encounter this very often if at all. Needless to say we will be staying here again on our next trip to Lake Como."

Via Valassina 31, Bellagio, Lombardy, Italy
"Located in the best lake view location in the town, a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The rooms are small, the facilities are simple, and the cleanliness is good. The breakfast is minimal, even the eggs are ordered a la carte, which belongs to the three-star level. Service attitude is very good, free parking is available."

Piazza San Giorgio 2, Varenna, Lombardy, Italy
"Firstly the location is outstanding, right in the middle of the town centre and easily walking distance to attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend the room with the balcony and lake view - perfect, I just loved sitting out there. Wonderfully they had a jug/tea/coffee in room which I do love. Nothing like a cuppa at the end of the day and with a view like that, it's just perfect to enjoy on the balcony. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, looks like there has been an update in the bathroom over the last few years. The included breakfast was very good and there are loads of choices on the menu - gluten free options too. The breakfast room faces out to the lake , so what a wonderful way to start the day. I really like the welcome letter they provide as it has all the details for breakfast, wi-fi and other handy information. The bed was a little too firm for me which is why I didn't have a super sleep - I do like a firm mattress but this was a little too much for me. I checked out at 11am and had to wait for a 12pm taxi to my train departure, I think as the hotel was pretty much empty, they could have allowed a later checkout for me. I just sat in the lobby for the hour and would have been more comfortable in the room - I think they let themselves down with this point. I did love the interior of the hotel as they have retained many original features such as antique furnishings and wonderfully, the glass in the lobby looks to be original. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and hope to return next year."
"My wife booked us 5 nights at the hotel to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and what a fantastic time we had. Considering all that is going on in the world at the moment the hotel were perfect in doing what they could to make things seem normal. It was great to see those smiling faces (albeit under masks) but nothing was too much for them. I had organised a few surprises for my wife during our stay and the hotel outdone themselves in helping me make this happen. From breakfast to drinks in the bar to eating in the fantastic Victoria Grill everything was top notch. We had a lake side balcony room which I would highly recommend. Being able to listen to the lapping water from the lake and having a morning coffee in the balcony was something to saviour. I would personally like to thank the hotel and all their staff for an experience we will never forget. "
"Beautiful hotel, the front perfectly located on the main town piazza and the back is situated right on the lake, the best of both worlds. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff set very high hygiene standards so we felt very safe. The public areas were beautiful with stunning views. The pool was clean and fresh with towels, gowns and slippers provided. Plenty of sun beds and chairs available to maintain social distancing. Breakfast overlooking the lake was fantastic, everything you need to start the day and it was delicious. All the staff were very friendly, polite and professional, from the reception to the waiters and the room maids. Sweets in our room on our last night and bottles of water for our onward journey were a welcome touch."

Località Cini 31 (Check-in at Viale Privato San Marco 1), Porlezza, Lombardy, Italy
"This is a fantastic resort. Do not hesitate in booking it. Got an apartment with an amazing view of the lake. Very spacious and clean. Service is superb, everyone very helpful and with the best attitude and lovely smiles. Spa is great, I was the only one there, had 3 saunas and steam room just for me, wished it opened earlier and would then have used it every day. Inside pool is very nice. Outside pools look fantastic but they are not heated and it was cold in October. This place must be a hit in summer for families with kids, tons of activities and things to keep the entire family busy (foozball, pingpong, tennis, amazing outdoor areas, teens and kids clubs, etc). Ah...and THE breakfast....delicious! First time I go to a buffet breakfast and don’t take any carbs....the other options are so great ...so many fruits (the best mango I have had in a while, great papaya, passion fruit, etc), juice machines, eggs to order, smoothies, prosecco, etc....kids loved the pancakes. Resort is 20 min to Lugano, 20 min to Lake Como. Don’t miss Villa Del Balbianello (where Star Wars and James Bond were filmed). This was my 4th trip to Como/Lugano region and by far the best accommodation I have had there. "
"My husband and I stayed here towards the end of our 12 day trip and it was the perfect setting to wind down the trip. Lake Lugano is gorgeous and there is not one bad view from the resort. We hung out one day at the private beach and swam in the lake and rented the paddle boats for an hour, which I highly recommend. The restaurants were amazing as well and I highly recommend asking about reserving the Buddha pavilion for a private dinner for two- really romantic and you just can’t beat the views. If you want to check out Lake Como, it’s only about a 25 minute drive. This place is also great for families. We would definitely stay here again!"

Viale Privato San Marco 1,., Cima, Lombardy, Italy
"We were so impressed with the staff, from Roberto and Dorian’s warm welcome at breakfast, to everyone at reception that helped us with day trips, ferry timetables, dinner reservations etc. The suites are nestled into the hillside to make the most of views. We were up the top (L32) and found the room spacious and comfortable. The hotel has beautiful grounds with lots to do and explore in the resort - gym, spa, sports, indoor and outdoor pools, bars and restaurants. (Have no idea why another reviewer says there aren’t many activities!) Breakfast is really well done. Amazing hot and cold selection with the best cheese and salami we had the whole trip! We didn’t need lunch all week. Don’t be put off by eating dinner in the hotel - we sampled some lovely local places too, but nothing compared for service and quality. We ended up at Le Masseria 3 times! Make sure you book and get there before sunset to enjoy the view. We travelled as a couple in mid September and found it a very relaxing place. It’s well equipped for families so expect it’s different in the height of summer. They do have adult-only areas though (pool/bar/spa). Porlezza and Cima are within walking distance and it’s only 20mins drive to Lugano town or Menaggio. We actually booked PSM as a base to explore lake Como, however the hotel and lake Lugano were so lovely we spent just as much time there, and actually preferred it’s quieter, relaxed vibe compared to touristy Como. Parking is €20 per night and worth it - secure and underground. Tip - it’s a lakeside property so you’ll need to remember your insect repellent to avoid bites! Thank you to everyone at Parco San Marco for a truly magical holiday. We can’t wait to come back."
"I had read the other Tripadvisor reviews and was nervous about getting there. I expected it to be big and impersonal, with lots of rules and regulations. What if it is complicated? What if I don't feel relaxed? All that was gone in a sec when entering the hotel premises. Great parking garage & really, what a great hotel! Our family had booked a normal room facing the lake, however, got upgraded to a better room category with two bedrooms. What a fabulous room! You honestly never want to check-out! Spacious, kitchen availability, two bathrooms, a large living room, lake views you cannot imagine! Big terrace with table & chairs as well as lounge chairs. Everyone at the hotel was really friendly! The kids pool was small with a slide, adults had lounge chairs, and also a small restaurant to order very good food. The best part, however, was the lake for which one had a very easy private access. They had a slide, rented water skis etc., had a nice wood-oven pizza restaurant with drinks & lounge chairs.... Totally amazing! We had dinner at the La Masseria mediterranian grill and it was lovely on every aspect: food, service, location! During the breakfast the restaurant took excellent care about the Covid.19 regulations, so it felt very safe to be there. The only wish I had for the next visit is that the pizza restaurant would not close so early in the afternoon, as that is the time when the people checking in want to come to the lakeside for a swim and eat well after a long journey."
"We had a fantastic stay at Parco San Marco not least down to the fantastic staff. From initial contact/booking they couldn't have been more helpful and forthcoming with information and even reduced the cancellation period from 9 days to 5 days due to our concerns over COVID restrictions being imposed. We booked a Lifestyle Family Suite (3 bedrooms). The suite itself was fabulous however the outside space (which is really important to us) was overlooking the busy road so we were unable to relax day or evening outdoors. I spoke to the hotel about this and they could not have been more proactive - the same day we were shown alternatives and ended up relocating to "Villa Olivo" at the top of the resort away from the road at no additional cost. This truly made our stay exceptional. Facilities and restaurants were fabulous. whilst there were many families (like us) there were also lots of couples enjoying the adult only restaurants/pool areas etc so a really good mix. We hired a boat through the hotel 2 days. the hotel made us a very good value picnic on our second outing and made sure they asked us later that day how it was for us! The beach area was perfect for adults and kids alike. the kids pool/slide area provided great entertainment! Definitely a hotel to visit :)"
