Top 10 La Palmera Hotels

The front desk staff, when we could find them (they really need a bell to ring rather than having the customer call out to get them to come to the desk), were very friendly. Our room was not ready when we got there, even though it was after check in. Thankfully it was not a long wait. When we got it the room, it smelled of something like Fabreeze. After some time in the room, my husband broke out in a rash. We had to change rooms. The Fabreeze smell was definitely masking some problem. Our new room was better, but still had a bit of an odor. The beds were comfortable amd the bathroom was decent but the smells really bothered us. Even though the staff was helpful, we would not stay here again.

Staff was excellent. Extremely helpful. Would stay there again next time. Fritz even tried to help me get my iphone set up to display on my car display screen. Little things like requests for tea at night or extra soap were taken care of right away. Great group of people !!

Hotel location is very convenient, right next to highway and not to far from VCU downtown. Room and hotel was in decent condition and clean enough. They do offer breakfast and coffee in the morning hours. I will recommend this hotel to travelers.
