"Wow! What an amazing hotel where we had an unforgettable experience. My family and I stayed at the hotel this summer and loved it. The staff were amazing and made us feel very welcome. They cant do enough for you and make you feel right at home. The food is out of this world, I tried something new each day and I wasn’t disappointed. The hotel is set next to the beautiful Lake Viñuela with mountain landscape views, it is breathtaking. The hotel has everything you need - swimming pools, library, private spa, masseuse, beautician and the cherry on the cake was FREE yoga with the lovely Danielle. My family and I had never tried yoga before but we are totally hooked now! It was a magical experience to practice Yoga with my loved ones. Danielle was so accommodating and patient with us as we were newbies. 2 of the weekly classes (Tues & Thurs) are located at the sister hotel which is 15 minutes away. You are allowed to attend those yoga classes for free along with enjoying your breakfast there afterwards, you just have to let reception know and they will switch it over. Hotel Cortijo Bravo is another beautiful hotel and definitely worth a visit. This holiday was one of the best and we can’t wait to come back soon :)"
"Spa and wellness treatments are extraordinary. Worth a visit to relax or to recover even without overnight stay. Hotel complex is splendid but run well under its possibilities. Might be a surprise, that hotel and hospitality is more than facilities. I did not feel welcome, felt no empathy, warmth nor an authentic interest during a three weeks stay. No information, no introduction. Asking for where the Spa is I got a direction sign with a finger and the confidence, that I will find the way. Felt treated inferior; Suddenly arising language problems with a complaint. So this stay was much cheaper than planned. I used a lot of options and came back for a good sleep in a splendid facility and for having great wellness treatments. "
"We visited this hotel on the recommendation of a friend. We loved the location close to Lake Vinuela, lovely gardens, very quiet with good service and quality food. We were offered a good choice of both savoury and sweet meals some of which are traditional Andalucian dishes."

"Saturday, December 21, company dinner with 21 employees. This was again incredibly well cared for. Having just traveled for a month in Asia and stayed in the most fantastic 5 star hotels over there, I can say that Cortijo Bravo is not inferior in terms of service, attention to the guest and attention to detail in comparison to these hotels, Both the drinks before the fantastic 5-course dinner, the copas afterwards, as well as the fantastic accommodation and the breakfast the next day have left an unforgettable first impression on our employees. Once again our appreciation goes to Maria and all her professional staff that is able to maintain an unwavering focus on their product, environment and service behavior, so that the needs and objectives of all guests are met. Cortijo Bravo is enormous good value for money. Whether the guests come for a business, private or festive meeting or dinner you can be sure everything is absolutely well taken care of! Many, many thanks and we hope to see you all again soon!"
"Another WOW for B Bou Hotels!! Last summer I stayed at Hotel La Vinuela & Spa and was really happy with my stay. Whilst we were there I was told we were able to attend the free Yoga sessions with Danielle at this hotel on Tuesdays & Thursdays as well as change our breakfast to this location. This hotel is absolutely stunning!! The staff were wonderful and the decor is gorgeous with a contemporary and modern feel. The outside terrace is magical where you can enjoy views of the mountains, Velez-Malaga and the seas :)"
"A super hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and the breakfast is great. We chose a junior suite which was a lovely ground floor corner location with fab views that wasn't really a suite as it had a bath stuck in the middle of the room and just one chair instead of a couch. Also the TV screen was smaller than our laptop and had no international channels. The wi-fi hardly worked in our room although we were told it would and these things are quite important to us. We used our 3g. There is a yoga session on some mornings in their events room which was absolutely amazing and was the highlight of my stay. Its free for residents and was a really friendly group."

"We have stayed at Palacio Blanco many times over the years and have just returned from another 10 night stay. I suffered a nasty stroke just before Christmas which the owners Jan and Christa knew about and they had passed this info on to Maria who was managing the hotel. I can honestly say that as well as the hotel being every bit as wonderful as it always was, Maria really made sure that I was looked after and that I had everything I needed. She was happy for us to have breakfast later on the mornings that I had needed to sleep in. On some days we stayed up on the roof terrace all day which was fab and just what the doctor ordered! I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it really is first class and a credit to the hard work that Jan, Christa, Maria and the wonderful Sicilia who looks after the rooms have put in to it. Love them all 😘"
"What can I saty about Pacio Blanco other than....it's just perfect. We've been coming here since just after it opened, and are already planning our next trip back. The place is just soooo relaxing, and the roof terrace is the perfect spot for a glass (or bottle) of cava - it's a total suntrap. The rooms are stylishly furnished, and very comfortable. The breakfasts are buffet style, and very tasty. If you prefer the beach, Torre Del mar is just a short cab ride away, although the beach is gravel rather than sand, but once you're on a sunbed you don't really notice! The local bars and restaurants are great - and there are often new places to try during every visit. All the people we've recommended this place to that have visited, have always returned... that, to me says it all.... Keep up the good work!"
"If you are looking for a boutique hotel which gives you the family feel, is far enough away from the tourist madness, but close enough to everything you want during a holiday, this is the place. Velez-Malaga is quite a sleepy Andalusian town, but its location is very central. Just 15 minutes drive to Torre del Mar and the beach and not much more to get to the mountains. Hotel Palacio Blanco is a fantastic place. Run by a very passionate host, Maria, who understands customer service and will make sure you feel at home. We stayed here for 6 nights and had a great time. Thanks Maria for your incredible hospitality and for making us feel at home. We hope to be back all the way from Australia. "

"Hi, we have stayed in this hotel on a couple of occasions for a couple of nights. The hotel is very clean, staff friendly, and rooms larger than you would expect. We stay in a room on 3rd floor with a balcony I know it is second line to the beach and the views from some rooms are blocked by buildings but as we were out most of the day and only using it for a small amount of time it was not a problem for us. The roof top pool is not huge but its a good place to escape to for an early evening cool down after a hot day at the beach. As I said we have only stayed for a maximum of 3 nights when we go to the coast from our village Canillas de Aceituno and I think for the price of this hotel near the beach it is excellent value for money. We are looking forward to our next stay in June."
"Although late in posting this I am hoping that all are ok who work at this hotel. We were staying here just before the lockdown in Spain. The hotel is one of our favourites and we were due to return in June. But due to COVID19 we have cancelled. We can recommend this hotel if you want a good clean spacious room and helpful staff. We have stayed here many times and have no reason to complain. We hope that we will return when life is back to normal. Stay safe everyone."
"Holiday was cut short due to lock down although disruptive I am so glad we stayed at this hotel. The staff are nothing short of brilliant, they really couldn’t do enough for us, they kept us informed and, just so happy to help. We have moved our second week so we can go back when things improve to everyone at the hotel especially both our ladies on reception, Susie in the restaurant and our room cleaner. Thankyou all you are amazing"

"Our first visit to Alcaucin, friends who have an apartment in the village, suggested this hotel and it didn't disappoint us. A lovely rustic, authentic small hotel in the heart of the village. Rooms are a good size, well equipped and really comfortable. Great air con, really good free WiFi. The staff are friendly and welcoming, their English isn't great so a little spanish helps. Had a great private terrace with amazing views. The pool was lovely, great plunge pool on hot days. We stayed on a room only basis but breakfast was available, if you wanted. This is only a 2star hotel but should be a 3star. The village is peaceful and quaint with some lovely plan as to eat. Would definatly go back."
"Great Hotel, located in the centre of Alcaucin but soo quiet. We had a room with terrace with beautiful view on the surrounding mountains and Lake Vinuela in the distance. What made the hotel exceptional was the service. The people were soo nice and customer oriented. On our request, they opened up one hour earlier for breakfast! When seated, offered the selections for breakfast food were simply more than we could do."
"Excellent situated in the village and with a great view. Nice garden with a pool. Very good breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. Alfonso, the director, made a very good and welcoming impression. We will return!"

"We were so lucky to come across this lovely hotel in this besutiful part of Spain. Beautiful clean and warm rooms with lovely views. Above all, run by such welcoming and friendly people. We arrived very late due to road closures but nothing was too much trouble for them . The next day we were escorted on mountainous roads to our final destination, which we would never have found on our own! Thoroughly recommended and I hope we will be backtrack there, this time to stay for longer. Thankyou so much for looking after us so well."
"I stayed here as a getaway for a couple of nights in June 2018. We had a pristine simple white room with a little balcony overlooking the village and the mountains. I spent a lot of time in the pool area on a sofa admiring the view. The room has a fridge and kettle so you can have cool drinks in the heat. The village is pretty with a great restaurant el Fogon just a few minutes walk. The owner Paco is warm and welcoming and looked after us very well. Great value and highly recommended. Ruth"
"The rooms are lovely as are the facilities and the views are to die for. The village is beautiful and the hotel represents great value for money. This is a MUST STAY hotel in a spectacular location. Once here you will return over and over and...…."

"This was a little gem. We wanted a hotel with a pool flying from a local airport. We flew out not Malaga and took a Taxi to Cómpeta. Cómpeta is in the andelucian hills about 45 mins outside Malaga. The hotel was clean. The staff were fantastic. It is a small village and the hotel only has 34 rooms. We stayed in one of the bungalows in the grounds. Most of the other guests were there to walk in the hills. It was off season. They cleaned to pool of autumn debris every morning. The pool side bar was closed, but drinks were available in the bar upstairs. We had no trouble finding sun loungers. They supplied a towel for the pool side. This hotel is not for the disabled, though there is a lift. When the restaurant was open, the food was excellent, but as it was off season, it wasn’t open every day. I can’t emphasise enough how friendly and helpful all of the staff were."
"This is a lovely hotel with amazing friendly staff, who cannot do enough for you. The mountain valley and coastal rooms looking south offer superb views and the hotel has a nice pool area as well. My only complaint is that the windows and patio doors do not fit very well so it is very easy to be disturbed from the terrace/pool area with people talking and even noise from outside the hotel like dogs barking etc. It is most noticeable early in the morning. Other than that, it is a great hotel. Do bear in mind that anywhere you go in Competa normally involves steep hills, so not good for the less mobile."
"Booked for 3 days ,upgraded room for 10 euro a night extra ,room was excellent nice balcony with lovely views .Room was large & comfortable with coffee Tea making facilities ,bathroom was also large ,which included bath & separate shower .Breakfast was basic buffet ,but good .Staff were very friendly ,pool area was good but slightly worn ,probably due too a busy season which was now coming too an end .Worth a stay ."
