Hotel environment is good, location is also very good city center, eating in the United States is convenient, breakfast is very good, but not suitable for our Chinese stomach, but fortunately, you can simply cook, there is a microwave oven, induction cooker, wok and hot water coffee machine, For me, a person who likes to drink tea, is good, my daughter can speak English, has already booked a room on Trip.com, when the daughter is not there, the front desk let me use the credit card to pay the deposit, exchange hard

The room is large, there is a refrigerator, a stove, a dishwasher, and a lot of necessary tableware, there are sofas and small tables, breakfast is very good, the hotel location is very convenient! btw, the son's graduation ceremony is held in the opposite center! Although the hotel price is not cheap, I feel very satisfied, there is valet parking, a day fee of 32 dollars

The beautiful environment of the hotel is a classic in the century-old architecture. In the literary city center, the interior has modern facilities and the service is very warm. The lobby also provides guests with delicious drinks and desserts. The public areas are quiet and elegant, and the surrounding environment has a cultural heritage. The famous mural wall is in the surrounding area, which is a good choice for home travel.

Arriving at the hotel in advance due to the ticket, it is not allowed to check in early. We will store the luggage in the hotel and go shopping in the supermarket. The location of the hotel is good! I bought a good thing and went back to the hotel to check in, but I still waited for 40 minutes. After the hotel customer service, I gave away the breakfast as a gift! The hotel room is very small, the so-called big bed room results in a very small bed, the bathroom is bigger, the quality of the facilities is good, very close to Brown University!

My two grandkids, my wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I had two suite upgrade certificates left in my Bonvoy account and decided this would be a great time to use them. The chances of getting upgraded is usually about 50-50. I called the hotel a couple of days ahead of our arrival and explained that a suite would be extremely appreciated with our 9 and 11 year-old grandkids. I asked if I could put in a separate request for a suite based on my Lifetime Titanium status. She said no problem and would attach a note to our reservation. The day before our arrival, I got a notification that we had been upgraded with the certificates to a 720 sq. ft. king suite with an incredible view of the capitol. We arrived early and our suite was still occupied, so William took all our information and said he would notify my when the room was ready. We took the kids to the Museum of Natural History and the Planetarium. Upon exiting the planetarium I saw a notification that our room was ready. We checked in and the room was beyond our expectations! The sixth floor suite had an amazing view of the Capitol. We settled in and my grandson could not get internet access for his Nintendo switch. We went to the front desk and Nicola tried to help but couldn’t get it to work. So she gave us a number for IT support. We walked down to Providence Place and had dinner at the food court. When we returned he called the IT guy and he was connected in less than 5 minutes! Thank you Nicola!! We had access to the Club Lounge and picked up some sodas and waters. The next morning we had breakfast in the Club Lounge. The food included fried eggs, sausage, fruit and pastry items, coffee, and juices. The following morning the choice was scrambled eggs and bacon. Robert, the gentleman in charge kept everything stocked and the room clean. The following day we took the kids to Newport to tour the mansions. We got back around 6pm. The rooms were cleaned and looked pristine. The bathroom was huge. It was handicapped accessible. The shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The room a/c worked great. We departed after breakfast. Hanna quickly checked us out. The room bill was perfect. The valet guys were great. The kids were already talking about when we could return. We can’t wait to return to this historical (former) Masonic hall.

When we first checked in we were very impressed with this hotel. Lobby is open and bright and actually smells delicious!, the hallways are also bright and spacious. The lobby and hallways look like they have been recently redone. but then you get to the actual hotel room. I have never, ever stayed in a room this dark. We constantly had all the lights on, yet it still felt like we were sitting in a dark, windowless room. There was a long hallway when you entered the room - that was great, made it feel very spacious and the fridge, closet and bathroom were there. The main room was also a decent size with a nice sitting area. The sitting area had no lights and no windows. So it felt like a basement. The rest of the room was also just so dark and the bathroom- there was one lightbulb. It was awful. One day when some light came though the one window, I noticed how stained the carpet was. Perhaps that is why it was so dark- to hide the stains? The dark bathroom had zero counter space. There was a very small caddy type item next to the sink. I guess this was meant to put your toiletries on, but most of it was filled with towels. I had to carry my things in and out of the bathroom every day. But the worst part of the hotel room, way worse the. The darkness, was that it felt so damp. There were items of clothing we left out that actually felt wet after a day. We turned the air up, down, off,freezing- nothing helped. All in all- this was just a really uncomfortable hotel stay. I’m still looking for a hotel in Providence to which I would make a return visit…Lmk if anyone has a suggestion!

This was a solo stay on April 20, 2023. I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy trying different properties across the portfolio when I visit different cities. In Providence, I had not yet stayed at this Homewood Suites, so I decided to give it a try. It was a stopover on the way by train to Boston, so I found it extremely convenient, a few blocks away from the station. I was surprised that this hotel did not offer a Digital Key, because it would have allowed me to bypass the odd arrangement of the entrance on the street level and the front desk on the second level. So I had to stop at the desk to claim my plastic old school card key. The desk staff was professional and described the hotel and features, as well as mentioning breakfast down on the street level. My Diamond status was recognized. My room was the one I had chosen during the online advance check-in the day before arrival. As it was a suite, it was certainly spacious. But.... the HVAC was hard to control, if at all. The outdoor temperature went down to the low 40's, and so I would have liked to have my room warmer than it was. Turning the thermostat higher just displayed the higher temperature but did not make the temperature higher. Unfortunately this was realized when I was ready to go to bed, so I wasn't going to contact anyone to rectify it that late. I found the bathroom to also be spacious, with enough room to put my toiletries on the counter. Because of the room temperature I opted not to take a shower that morning, so I cannot vouch for whether there was any issue with hot water. Breakfast.... I did not expect much. It was buffet style but limited selection. I did have scrambled eggs. I was bothered in the morning before my planned departure from the room and well before check-out time by Housekeeping knocking on my door. I thought that they only come in between guests. I had to yell that I would be out within half an hour. All in all, a great location but the lesson learned is to check the temperature control earlier in your stay if possible.

This is a very nice Homewood Suites in a terrific location. The rooms are big and are of high standard. The hotel is definitely one of the better choices downtown Providence. No recognition of my lifetime diamond status when checking in. (Seems to be the norm for Hilton group hotels nowadays.) Great restaurants, bars and other activities within walking distance. Valet parking on the premises. Breakfast in the morning typical of Homewood and Hampton in other locations.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I have to say that sometimes when I’m traveling to an area I don’t know very well, I won’t stay at a hotel if it’s not a name I know. I expect a certain standard when I stay at a reputable chain such as Hilton. This isn’t an awful hotel, but there’s nothing special about it. Our room needed updating. It smelled like mildew. There was mildew or some sort of stains around the peripheral of most of the bathroom ceiling. There were stains that looked like either lipstick or blood all over the outside of the bathroom door. The parking garage was crowded and filthy. The button that you were supposed to use to let yourself in and out of the parking garage didn’t work so you had to call for assistance every time. like many hotels, they are not servicing the room if you stay multiple nights and that’s fine. But I called and requested towels and they never delivered them. The hotel website implies that there is a restaurant. There is not a restaurant. There is a bar that’s open in the evening, and they may serve food in the evening, but that’s not a restaurant. The television was awful. There was no literature in the room or in the hotel about things to do in Providence. this is not an awful hotel, but it’s not a good one, and it certainly isn’t up to the Hilton name.

Is this hotel safe, clean, and fitting for a short stay? Yes. Does it hold up to the Hilton name? Absolutely not. It's a bummer because I normally stay at more budget type hotels when traveling (Quality Inn, Hampton Inn, etc) and was thinking this would be a treat. Unfortunately, this Hilton is in desperate need of a remodel. I have stayed at much nicer budget-level hotels than this Hilton. The bathroom had seen much better days (see attached pictures), and the mattress was one of those that felt like I kept rolling towards the center of the bed no matter how I adjusted. I will say every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and accommodating, which helps. But the accommodations were really sub par. This property just really isn't up to the Hilton portfolio standards, and with so many other options in Providence, I suggest going elsewhere.

Stayed at the hotel on 10th & 11th Aug on a business trip to Providence. Chose the hotel as it's close to the offices and has restaurants in vicinity. Found the hotel to be clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful front desk staff. Although breakfast was not part of package, it had some decent options. On the flip side, the hotel was not stocked with even the basic toiletries like toothbrush / toothpaste and body lotion.

We typically come to the area once or twice a year and have been staying in the downtown area to be close to restaurants and things to do. This time we tried this hotel as my Husband is a Marriott Bonvoy member and we used points for the stay. We were disappointed when we arrived to find the cafe area closed at nights and only open for breakfast. This was one of the reasons I selected this hotel as we figured it would be convenient to grab a quick bite and drink at night during our 4 night stay. Our room was clean, beds comfortable but could use a renovation soon. Location was great, walked across the street for Waterfire, CVS and Providence Place Mall. We would not stay again for our next trip as there are other hotels that we liked better.

We stayed here for one night to attend my brother’s graduation ceremony at RISD. The hotel is conveniently located and very clean as its a new facility in the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend people to stay.
