Great location, impeccable service. We got upgraded to our nice surprise to a beautiful room with a view on the beach. The breakfast had an extensive display of delicious food. We would come back in a heart beat.

TOUT EST PARFAIT !! vraiment un très bel hôtel, très bien placé face à la mer, service impeccable, employé(e)s aux petits soins pour leurs clients, chambre spacieuse et confortable, les repas sont préparés avec des produits locaux et frais, possibilité de repas diététiques, côté thalasso les soins sont tellement agréables. c'est la meilleure thalasso que j'ai faite, le plus bel endroit. je recommande ++++

A cocktail hotel looking at the sea, with rooms not very large but well-exploited. Comfortable bed and very good closets that make it easy for rest. nice and attentive staff. Cleaning very well in general. Recommended.

Very professional staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice decoration. Quiet room. Great, sunny terrace. 10 min walk to historic center/beach/restaurants. Kitchenette well equipped. Very good cleaning service. Everything was perfect.

We stayed at the Golden Tulip for 4 nights in mid September 2022. The staff where friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast is good but there is a LOT of sweet choices. I know we are in France, but this was the first hotel we stayed at with this amount of cakes. Would be cool if they would consider a few more healthy options going forward :-) The best thing about this hotel is that it is located in a more spacious and quiet area of the old town. We had no problem in finding a parking space close by - so a good tip is to opt out of the hotel private parking spaces. A LOT of money to be saved right there - we rarely paid more than 10 EUR for 1 day of parking on the street. Just a few steps away there is a great beach area - that is fab in the summer/ warm months! The hotel says 4-stars - but I would rather say it is more a good 3-star hotel. It is comfortable - but the finishing around the hotel room, the breakfast area (chairs are worn out, food displayed on all kinds of different furniture which seems sporadic etc.) leaves you with an impression that they cannot quite live up to 4-stars in reality. Nice staff, helpful, kind - the bartender even came out with free samples of snacks when we ordered drinks - just to convince us that the fish-snack was good. And he was right, it was delicious! If you are looking for a comfortable space inside the old city - this hotel is a good option. Saint Malo old town just takes a couple of days to explore - so you do not need several nights - just a tip! Beware of the parking, you could save a lot of money finding your own parking space. And the old town is quite small - so once luggage is dropped off, it is no problem to park just outside the walls.
