"I was disappointed with our initial room, since the placement of extra bed could have caused a serious injury for my daughter. Luckily our room was changed on the following day for a better room at the hotel. I booked a Superior Room with a pool view and was given room 44, but a Classic Room, which was 12B was much more spacious and better value. In fact it was a downgrade from what I have booked. Most important area of my concern is the breakfast service, best to describe was "chaotic". Due to my work commitments, I managed to come early for my breakfast. However I have seen how my family struggled at peak times. In simple terms, 2 people cannot run this breakfast service. My suggestion is that Management must be available during breakfast times to witness, what the staff had been going through. However never saw one during my time, even though I requested to speak to one. Joshua and Charlotte are outstanding with their service levels, but in my view management have failed to get the best out of their staff"
"I stayed there one night on my way to Spain, and when I was first given room #2, I found out the toilet seat was dirty (it had brown spots on it that looked like poop, which I photographed before I cleaned it to see if they were permanent stains or not!)... if it had not been for Corinne, the lovely, professional and very capable lady at the reception, I would have left: she immediately told me she was very sorry, that she would give me another room, but she would first go and check it was OK... The rooms are nice, but have no shampoo/conditioner/shower cap type of personal care items which most 4 star hotels carry. The hotel is tired looking... although the rooms seem to have been updated. But it was hard to take a shower (there is no shower enclosure, and the towels were very thin (I really hate thin 4 star hotel towels!)... However, between Corinne, (some big 5 star hotel should steal her because she is EXCELLENT at her job) who seems to understand what hotel service means, and the food (and the wait staff at the restaurant) they have me giving an average rating. I am surprised that Accor hotels delivers on such a low level. Unless I want to visit the few wineries on the road I would not stay at this hotel again."
"This is a hotel in the heart of the countryside but still fairly easy to access from the motorway. The rooms are spread around the complex and not within the main building so this does mean walking to breakfast and dinner which is fine in good weather. There is a lovely pool area with comfortable loungers. The restaurant is lovely with views over the golf course and the bar has a nice terrace. The staff were lovely and welcoming."
