Literally don’t know where to begin with my praise for this place! The apartment was amazing; big, FULLY equipped with everything a person could possibly need on holiday, a lovely balcony, comfortable beds, and very clean. In fact, it was cleaned every day of our stay, which given that it was self catering was unexpected and much appreciated. The location is perfect too - a 2 minute walk to the supermarket, a 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. We went for a longer walk and were at the harbour within an hour. But even better than these things was the wonderful customer service we received from Irina. From the moment we checked in she was helpful and informative, giving us recommendations for restaurants, maps, and bus routes. Then when our airport transfer wasn’t correctly arranged she sorted everything out for us. She made phone calls, she sent emails, she offered to print things out for us, she was simply amazing and went far above and beyond any receptionist I’ve ever come across… All in all we had a wonderful holiday, and if we ever return to Torrevieja we would absolutely stay here!

We stayed for a week in February. The unit was in a building that is well-located, just a few blocks from the beach and a great boardwalk that we used to walk into town everyday (a 45 minute walk one-way). We appreciated that it was located outside of the downtown area as we were always able to find parking on the street outside of the building. The unit has 5 keys, and you need to use 4 of them to access the unit (the 5th is for the balcony). They were all quirky and difficult to use at first, but we became better with them as the week went on. The unit itself was old and a little tired. Marble floors would probably would be great in the heat of the summer, but they were cold in the winter so bring slippers. The couch was uncomfortable for sitting, but the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The kitchen was very small, but quite well-equipped. Although we had a two-bedroom unit, the 2nd bedroom was really only good for kids and the unit would have been uncomfortably small for 4 adults. Very average unit, and not worth the amount that we pay for our annual maintenance fees at our home resort in the US.

I booked the holiday via Thomas Cook travel and we were looking forward to a nice relaxing break based on the information on the Thomas Cook website and the La Laguna Hotel website. What I was expecting as per the information supplied and what we experienced fell far below the standard of a 4 Star Superior Spa Hotel from the descriptions advertised. Once in our room we were not impressed as the room looked out on a raised covering that had limited view. The room was in need of updating and looked to be the same décor since the hotel was built. The bathroom had a bath with a shower hose that did not look safe to be standing in. I went to reception and asked to be moved and was told the hotel was nearly full and all the rooms were the same. I was offered a Junior suite for an additional charge. I was happy to pay for an upgrade and I asked to see the Junior suite hoping it would be a vast improvement but it had the same outdated decor and bathroom. I declined this as it was not worth any additional cost and settled for another double room on the 2nd floor. This was not any better. The door was falling off the cupboard where the fridge was enclosed. The beds were uncomfortable and well used. There were some loose floor tiles in the room when walking. The air conditioning, even when it was turned off at night still, had noise coming from the ducting in the ceiling. The morning after arrival I went to use the ”Gym”. This looked like a converted bedroom with very little machines to exercise with. No exercise mats were available to put on the floor. Air Conditioning did not work. The TV did not work as no remote control. There was a toilet shower room in the gym but it did not have any towels or soap and the shower area had never been completed. Some of the gym equipment was not safe to use. When I spoke with reception, they advised I let them know in advance before using the gym so the air-con could be turned on. On my next visit to I informed the reception to turn on the air-con but after 20 minutes nothing was done and it was impossible to use because of the high temperature. At 9.30am the same morning we went to the Hotel restaurant for breakfast and joined a queue waiting for available tables. The restaurant was very busy and had only two waitresses working. I noticed queues waiting at the coffee machine and at various areas of the buffet bar. It was chaos with no organisation from the staff. We finally got a table after 15 minutes and then queued again and had long waits for fruit, cereals and hot buffet items to be replaced. The 'hot buffet' food was never hot! This breakfast service did not improve as the week went by. One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week. The hotel pool was closed for a day and a half and no communication or apologies were given to the hotel guests to inform them what was happening. I asked could I use the pool at the Spa bu

Wonderful Break! We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Hotel La Laguna, we had a wonderful break and the hotel lived up to its expectations. We booked a room with a terrace and we’re pleasantly upgraded to a pool view. The room was of a good size with great aircon, fridge and plenty of storage space. I note some people have commented on the fridges not being cold but ours was great! We were welcomed by friendly staff both in the hotel reception and the hotel spa. We enjoyed an afternoon in the spa and had the whole spa to ourselves ! We spent our mornings at the beach and the afternoons by the pool and never struggled to get a sunbed. The pool was great and the outdoor bar welcoming. Overall a fantastic break, will we be returning ?? Absolutely !!

The hotel is modern and clean with an excellent bar and rooftop patio swimming pool area. The exceptional element of this hotel is the reception staff. We were looked after from the moment we checked in. We were a party of 8 on a golfing trip and needed restaurants and recommendations, they also contacted the various golf courses for us to sort out buggies for us. The downside of this hotel is the location. It is a €10-€12 taxi ride into town. Thank you for looking after is. There is nothing much around in walking distance.

I was disappointed b that there was only one English Channel on the TV in the room this was the news only. The bathroom was very nice clean but no handles to get in and out the bath when using * the shower .I am 74 years old and found this very difficult. I had booked a 3 day stay in April but have now changed hotels as these issues spoiled my stay

I'm lukewarm regarding this hotel. When I got there, the room had no minibar (it was broken), so I spent around 10/15 asking for them to switch me to a room with a minibar - honestly, middle of the summer in Spain, not having a minibar is not negotiable. They did change me, but I had to insist a lot for something that was already included in the rate I booked. Aside from that, the hotel itself was great. The room was very spacious, it was 2 blocks away from the main street, and there were countless bars and supermarkets to get what we needed. The hotel includes parking for 18eur per night - if you have a car, I would recommend paying, because streets are very narrow in Torrevieja. The breakfast buffet was good - a bit meager for the price, but it was better than having to eat out every day. I would definitely pay for it again. I'm not sure about other reviews - I didn't have any issues with the A/C or anything else. I would recommend it over other hotels in the area, for sure.

A wonderful welcome as soon as we walked into the spacious reception. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, a special mention to Nieve, so good at her job. Our room on the 4th floor was very large, our bed was huge and very comfortable, we had a balcony over the swimming pool, very quiet at night. The bathroom was in the room, this was ok for us as a couple but I’m not sure I would have liked it if I was staying here with a friend, the shower head didn’t work very well but in fairness I didn’t complain about it and I feel sure if I had it would have been fixed. The pool was inviting and very clean, there was a bar for snacks, drinks and ice cream. The sunbeds and terraces need updating but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment. We only live a few kilometres from the hotel and we enjoy the bars and restaurants of Torrevieja so we would definitely come here again. It’s in a perfect location.

Unfortunately not the place we expected. Service by reception staff were outstanding, however the actual apartment was an absolute disappointment. The bedroom had a fake window with fake shutter. There was no wardrobes, only a clothes rail which was broken. I have to say the bathroom was amazing with a great shower, but then the tv needed to be unplugged in order to keep it off. The front window looked like it had been forced to be open with the handle broken. The positive about this accommodation is the location, which is brilliant. Really close to restaurants and amenities.

I was delighted every day I was on holiday with my friends, near the centre of Torrevieja, in the port of Marina International. The apartments are renovated and very beautiful. We will repeat for their tranquility and their beautiful beaches!!!
