"We have used many Campaniles and booked this assuming it would be the same. We struggled to find the entrance as our sat nav was crazy, but once there it was not disappointing. It was clean and modern with all the facilities, they gave us joining rooms which was brilliant. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open in the evening, but the lady on reception was super helpful at telling us where we could get food, she also told us about breakfast etc Then next day we were up late but the the breakfast selection was great. Would definitely recommend, great value for money."
"It looks like Campanile have been upgrading their hotels - finally, so they aren't as tired and shabby. The beds are still too hard, they need to look across the channel to Premier Inn and Travelodge to see how they should be."
"I have been trying to get my refund out of this hotel or head office since mid-March. Campanile website clearly states that under the extreme circumstances of coronavirus booking made between certain dates, as mine was, a fully refundable despite booking type. First I was sent a form. I filled it in Then I was told that as i didn’t have a French bank account, I could not have a refund!!! (I paid with British credit card). Then silence. Next an email from HQ saying hotel would settle when it reopened. Then hotel say HQ will pay within a month despite me not having a French bank account. Nothing. Silence. I pursued. Now - I am being offered a voucher! I have refused the voucher. Beware of Campanile hotels. I’ve had problems before but continue to use them as we like their motel style ground floor rooms for transit stays. Shocking disgraceful chain with bad rude staff. Stay away."
