We stayed in Heliopic Hotel during the 3rd week of March 2022. We booked one of the apartments which had plenty of space for our 3 children (9,6,3) The ski shop staff were very helpful on our first day and we were pleasantly surprised by just how close the hotel was to the main street where all the shops, restaurants and bars were located. A special mention must go to Cyrille and all the concierge team who go out of their way to help you get restaurants reservations, taxis, info about ski school or whatever it is that you require. The concierge service is most definitely 5 star. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the lobby is very kid friendly. It is quite unusual that kids are not allowed to use the swimming pool after 2pm. It seems at odds with the other efforts of the hotel to be child friendly. The private shuttle to the slopes is very convenient but we made the mistake of booking ski school and lessons for 9am which meant that we could not use this service as it got us to the slopes around 9 25/ 9 30. It is a much more preferable way of transporting young kids in ski boots with skis/poles etc than the public bus which is extremely busy and packed between 8am and 10am. However the bus stop is very very close to the hotel also. The apartment was very well equiped, very warm and had plenty of storage space to unpack bulky ski layers. It even had a private boot room beneath it.Overall we would definitely stay here again if we return to Chamonix

The hotel is right next to the cable car station, one room can go to the cable car station, and the other room can see the snow mountain. We lived at the snow mountain at first, but there is west sun, the hotel has no air conditioning, and it is like a sauna in the afternoon. So we switched to the super cable car station, which feels much better, but in the summer no air conditioning is still hot. There is unlimited free water and coffee in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel, as well as children's drinks and some sweets. This is still quite good, and the swimming pool that comes with the hotel is not bad, it is quite big. We booked a family room with a large bed and two small beds in the form of bunk beds. The quilt was too thick for summer.

The positives: The bed was comfortable and the views amazing if you have a mountain view! From there it all goes downhill fast and you may as well be staying in a Hostel! Check in is 4pm, at which point you're told due to the hotel's desire to protect the environment they've done away with one time use plastics and you're handed a glass bottle and told to go fill it at the dispenser! Sounds good, until you get to your room and find one time use plastic cups in the bathroom and one time use paper cups by the coffee maker along with plastic utensils, and you see that the lights used are not LED's! Looking around you realize there are no amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. So back to reception to ask about it? This is after all supposed to be a 4 star hotel!! At the reception you're told they have them behind the counter, all you have to do is ask for them??!! (4 star hotel??) You're handed a tray of ”one time use” amenities each one plastic and told to pick the ones you want! The hotels claim to be concerned for the environment is starting to feel a little disingenuous! We also had a real problem with the lighting in the rooms and bathroom. The bathroom lighting is terrible with the lights angled above you so the mirror is really useless because of the shadows! Whoever designed this did not have user friendly for the guest in mind! Also the shower stream was practically non existent, not enough force to rinse my hair and kept vacillating between tepid and too hot! Most of the ”front desk” people don't know anything about customer service and have had no training in it! A 4 star hotel at check-in should at least offer a map of the area and have some knowledge of the vicinity! That was not our experience.. we had to ask for a map! One gets the feeling this is just a temporary summer job for most of these people and they can't wait for this to be over! Obviously we don't recommend this hotel! I don't know how they ended up with a 4 star rating! We have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say I've never stayed in one like this! It's definitely not a 4 star hotel.. It's a hostel masquerading as a hotel!

Stayed for a couple of nights in September either side of a trek around Blanc. Staff were wonderful and friendly, rooms were spotless and the location is absolutely perfect in Chamonix. Would go back here anytime.. views from restaurant on 7th floor are special

The hotel’s balcony offers views of the snowy mountains. The cableway station of Li Nan A pinna is very close, leaning against the pedestrian street, the triple room is quite good. The heating is very powerful. The hotel's luggage storage is self-contained, no one cares, a small room, I sent it in and took it out myself. Hotel WIFI network speed is very fast. It is very convenient to get a car from Geneva. It’s ten minutes from the point of getting off, but it’s uphill, panting.

Mont Blanc view room is on the highest 7th floor. From there u got wide open view with mountain just in front of u. U can even see the mountain right in the bed. Enjoyed every moment of the stay, from day time, dusk, dawn.. Room super spacious, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was not bad, on par with 4star-level the one I had at another hotel

服務很好,前台會盡可能地幫助存放行李和解答疑問。前台有提供免費的咖啡和熱水。酒店的窗景是很不錯的,抬頭就能看見雪山。

1. Most, if not all, rooms have their own private balconies. These face either the back of the hotel, ie. facing the same range of the Alps as Aiguille Du Midi and Montenvers (the cable cars can be seen from the balconies), or the front of the hotel, ie. facing the city centre and Brevent (another arm of the Alps?) . The block of tree trunk which serves as a stool is very heavy! 2. It is located adjacent to the Chamonix MB train station. It is 3-5 minute-walk away from the town centre, McDonald's being one of the first easily-recognised indications. 3. The hotel interiors are mainly oak (like Ikea type): doors, table, shelves, wall fixtures. Personally love it, esp. the designs being flat and square. This was much more practical and pleasant to the sight compared to 'new' 'urban' furnishings where pieces were oddly shaped and placed. Would certainly seek to stay there again if returning.

In our three months in Europe this was the WORST service we ever had. We just loved the look for the hotel and oh what a dream location! BUT the staff were appallingly rude. My husband is a Diamond Accor member and we had to wait until almost 4pm to check in to our room!! We had requested an early check in but they simply did not care. Throughout our stay we had to climb over cleaning equipment and piled of sheets etc in the hallways outside the rooms…they were often still there at 4pm! On our second day we went out from about 9am until around 2pm and came back to find our room had still not been cleaned. ANd despite numerous conversations with the manager…we recieved no apology and no follow up after we’d left!!
