"We arrived to the hotel on the 4th of October 2021 and stayed in it 2 nights. The hotel is located in the center of Toulouse and occupies several buildings. Its public areas are nicely decorated and employees at the reception are very friendly. This is the only good things I can tell about the hotel. On arrival after all the formalities the receptionist brought us to a separate wing which you can access through an individual entrance under the arch near the gates for the cars. If one day you will be brought to this wing and the receptionist smiles and tell you in a nice voice - " this is a very special wing, it is very quite" - be sure - it is a trap which may spoil all your stay in Toulouse. The most important thing about the hotel to know is that quality of rooms are very different depending in which building they are located. When you open the door to this "very special quite wing " the first thing you notice is a very special smell of food, rotten wood and cigarette smoke. The reason for this is very simple. This wing has not been restored for many years, it has a very poor ventilation, the kitchen is a part of it and there is a garbage storage nearby. The hotel was declared a non smoking hotel. That is why its employees (mainly from the kitchen) sit down and smoking in the yard behind the windows or on the steps to the entrance to the wing. We stayed in a Delux Suit 312 which faces the yard. The doors to the room is a thin cheap white piece of not very well polished wood without sound protection. The door to the bathroom and to the toilet are of the same quality. The one to the bathroom had several black scratches on it as well as an upper door frame to the sleeping room. The fitting of the make up mirror in the bathroom was broken. The design of the room is minimalistic. There are no decorations at all but several ventilation boxes in the sitting room and in the wardrobe which are used to channelize air from the kitchen. No sound protection was installed. So you may hear a strong sound of a jet plane taking on from time to time. At first I could not realize why they deployed airport in the very center of Toulouse. In some time I found out that this roaring sound is produced by ventilation boxes in dressing room when they switch on ventilation during cooking in the kitchen. There is also a system of ventilation in the room which produced a very sharp noise. I could not either stay in the sitting room or sleep when the sit conditioning was switched on. My complaint about it to the general manager was left without any reaction. He just told me - "Yes, I know about this problem". It is worth to be mentioned that this air-conditioning system was operated by a special device on the wall which protection cover was broken and removed probably by the same vandals which painted the door to the bathroom and a part of door frame with black paint. So I could not use the ventilation as well as did not have a chance to open the windows - employee"
"We spent on night at La Cour des Consuls while stopping over in Toulouse on a road trip that included a drive from the Mediterranean coast to the Atlantic coast (so Toulouse was a perfect half way spot). We really enjoyed our stay at La Cour des Consuls, including both the hotel's serene courtyard and our room, which was very much in keeping with expectations for this hotel class."
"The reception team as a first contact were great but sadly the hotel didn't live up to expectations remotely of a 5 star. The location is excellent. We have booked a 'deluxe suite' which was in the loft and was a dark, lifeless room that had sun bleached carpets, a window that overlooked a rooftop with dying cacti on the window sill. The walls were scuffed and the room smelt like a cleaning products. It was a special occasion and they had put balloons etc in the rooms which was a lovely touch however. I called reception and asked for an alternative but there were none and after some tooing and frooing I voluntarily 'downgraded' to a deluxe room which was actually much better. The reception team were great at making this happen 100% and very apologetic. My concern was for a top-priced room why even sell this it was subpar and disappointing. The new room was better but again the walls are scuffed ,the furniture worn and the cleaning is average - dented bins, dust behind bins, shower doesn't drain so well etc but a perfectly ok room. The common areas are fine for a 5 star hotel. Spa was average but treatment (facial was good). We requested a room service while we were out and three hours later returned to the room and nothing had happened so called reception - 'oh sorry we forgot' eventually came and serviced the room but the detritus that was taken out of the room was left on the window outside our room for 24hrs! It was still there when we left. We requested a late check-out which was no problem but re-entering the hotel the key cards weren't rekeyed, then they were rekeyed but only for the lift so after two trips to reception we were back in - just so average. I feel sorry for the reception team as they are great but the rest of the hotel - the service, the attention to details, cleanliness, proactivity were absent. The two words that come to mind for me with this hotel are tired and unloved. The building is tired and I suspect everyone other than the front-of-house team is tired. I would avoid this hotel. Save your money and go to the Crowne Plaza or another generic brand where you know what you get and spend the money you have saved on the gastronomic delights that Toulouse has to offer."

"Although the room was nice, location is good, service from the front desk is friendly, there were too many disappointing factors. We had first room 806 and the windows can not be opened. This would not be such an issue if the airco would function. The airco / air ventilation gives a "sweat smell" and the only thing you can do is regulate the speed (not the temperature). The next day, we moved to room 815 , which has a room that can be opened (yeah). However, from the 9th floor on, there is another hotel (another category / guests?), and in the evening we heard almost a constant "boom, boom, boom", like somebody is hitting a punching ball. We mentioned this at the fornt desk, but nothing changed. During Easter there were issues with wifi in the hotel (grrr). Final remark, breakfast: nothing special. So, we are sorry to say that we will never book this hotel again (unlike for example the Pullman hotel in Berlin, which is much better)"
"We rent a car at the airport for self-driving, and we are worried about the trouble of finding a parking lot. I didn't expect that there is an entrance to a public parking lot in front of the hotel, which saves a lot of time. Later, the front desk informed that the hotel also has its own private parking lot, which provides parking on behalf of the hotel."
"Shared a twin room with my cousin and we had no complaints. Room and beds were both large and comfortable. Large television and small mini bar. Bathroom was both spotless and with a large walk in shower. The reception is very funky with lots of art work. Breakfast room is very stylish and breakfast choice is very good. Really nice bread. Very convenient for both the station and the town. Would stay again "

"As the picture shows, this is an IHG hotel in an architecturally lovely building on one corner of Place du Capitole, the main square in Toulouse which also houses the Town Hall, many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff are very friendly and polite and always wishing to help whether at Reception, the Bar or on Housekeeping duty. The bedrooms ( we had 536 ) which had 2 double beds, tv, fridge with daily water, tea / coffee station, a very comfortable armchair, desk and office chair. The bathroom was standard and met expectations. Housekeeping was excellent. The lounge / bar area was rather quaint but adequate and a fitness room was in the basement ( we did not use ). Breakfast was also downstairs and consisted of a hot / cold buffet style with a selection of cereals, fruit/ breads /pastries etc. Egg options available on request. Similar every day but more than adequate. Top Tip - if travelling from the airport, take the Tram ( T1 ) to Arenes and then transfer to the Metro to Capitole and then a short 5 minute walk to Place du Capitole and the hotel ( ticket 1.70 euros ...taxi 25 euros ! ) The hotel is also near all the main attractions with the main railway station about 20 mins away via Joan of Arc Square. Finally, the FREE electric minibus passes through the Square every 15 mins. Wave it down to stop and then enjoy a gratis tour of Toulouse to get your bearings. It will even stop just outside the hotel. Enjoy."
"We arrived at this hotel having walked down from the train station. A walk that takes little more than 15 minutes and the hotel was simple to find. The Crowne Plaza was the last hotel and our last stop in our backpacking tour of visiting every major city and small and large towns in France - and this hotel was a nice way to end our backpacking saga, which took a few years to complete. The hotel is in an ideal location and both the bedroom and bathroom being of top quality. The staff were helpful from the moment we booked in to our leaving - they could not do enough: cool. The breakfast was sufficient and the breakfast area clean and tidy. The sights of Toulouse (France 4th largest city - London is number 5) are all within easy walking distance and there are hundreds of shops to visit along with the museums. Don't go to the Tourist Information Office if you want a postcard as they don't sell them! A good two night stay in a good hotel, in a good location and excellent staff: what more do you want. Bon journey"

"Second time at this hotel and I do not have to complain about anything, check in was quick and they do modified my room on short noticed (from single bed to double bed as my son joined) room are nice, quiet and well equipped. Evening we went to restaurant and to make it short I will say food is absolutely great and fair prices for this quality. The restaurant team ( evening) is gorgeous and very professional, me and my son really enjoyed it. Special thank you for your dynamism, joy, laugh and special atmosphere you are creating. Inside Pool is really enjoyable I will come back MERCI"
"We had to rent one of their business rooms for a professional workshop. The room was very clean, spacious, and very well equipped. All the staff was very professional and helpful. Service is top quality! We then had a great lunch. The service was again very good and the food quality high level as well! All in all, a great experience with a fantastic customer service from the first point of contact to the very end of our journey! We will definitely come back there for our next workshop or other activity."
"Although the staff member was very nice, friendly & professional at reception & the room was comfortable that is about all I can say positively! It seems the hotel was not at all full (I asked) but some how they cramped everyone on the first floor. It’s was very noisy & busy corridor the whole night. Secondly, sorry to say but roomservice food was really not good at all. The French fries were terrible & cold and the steak was tasteless & not at all appetizing. "

"The breakfast at this hotel is very rich and delicious. The hotel is very close to the airport, 10 minutes walk, the hotel has a free car delivery, 10 minutes in advance reservation. 5 minutes walk to the small train station in the city center. The service at the front desk is very good and the English is great. There is free parking. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable."
"Very close to the airport, the hotel is of a higher grade, the environment is very good ~ dinner at the hotel ~ just happened to meet the band playing ~ feels great ~ front desk brother is also very friendly ~ service attitude is great ~ the price is also cheap ~"
"Comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom, and hospitable staff that went beyond the Call of Duty for us. This was an overnight stay after a long flight and it felt very restorative. Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good and wait staff was excellent. "

"Stayed here for one night in a standard double room having flown in from London that evening. There is quite a bit of competition nearby so I felt the price paid generally represented good value for my room, which was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and basic amenities. There’s a tasteful aeronautical theme to the decoration of the rooms and public areas which is a nice touch in Toulouse. Access to all main UK television channels was appreciated as a fairly limited French speaker, something I didn’t benefit from elsewhere on this trip. As to the rest of the hotel it’s not all good news. Parking is free to guests who must collect a ticket on arrival and hand it in again when checking out, however access to and exit from the car park is via a rather narrow driveway with an unusual “keep left” system, which is of course at odds with the rest of the road system. The reception desk was only manned by one person, and when I arrived at a fairly quiet time I still had to wait rather longer than I’d have liked to check in. Having arrived hungry off a delayed flight I was disappointed to find that the restaurant is closed at weekends, presumably because the hotel caters more to a business market than tourists like myself. There was a bar and a very basic food offering available to order, but nothing to my tastes (and it’s not very well promoted in the rooms - I had to rummage through the welcome pack in the wardrobe to find a menu). Never mind, there are always the complimentary biscuits! I normally avoid hotel breakfasts which tend to be overpriced and fairly basic buffets, and this one was no exception I’m afraid. The selection of pastries, yoghurts, cereal and meats was enough to fill a hole but not quite enough to see me through to lunchtime. My room number wasn’t taken at breakfast so it’s only through honesty that I was billed for it. There were a couple of maintenance issues with my room including a leaking toilet cistern and a water leak in the corridor outside the room which were reported. All the room doors have a small raised section that’s easy to trip on if you’re not paying attention. Overall a pleasant enough stay considering the very reasonable price paid for the room."
"We had a two night stop, and I have to admit, this was one of the better Holiday Inns I have stayed in, It felt relaxed but very attentive, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent, as was the breakfast, Perhaps the only comment would be the entrance was a little obscured, some of our party went to the Holiday Inn express nearby. Only a short walk to a shopping centre which was quite large."
"Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Well stocked bathroom. Well stocked minibar. Plenty of power outlets, for Cameras, Smartphones, iPads, Laptops etc. Very helpful staff both at reception and at the restaurants"

"Allocated a double bedded room on the ground floor when a twin bedded was booked and on the website said with a golf or tennis court view. No view apart from dog excrement. Asked to change rooms which was done but again a double bedded room. Didn’t complain. Food in the restaurant was awful. There is a “cook” not a chef in the kitchen a they could not provide me, as a vegetarian, any easy alternatives. Complained and discussed the problem with the reception manager the following morning who was very understanding and took in the complaint but too late. Needs a lot of improvement. Stayed here in the past and never as bad as this otherwise we wouldn’t have booked it again. The barman on this night (think his name was Danny) was very helpful and professional "
"It’s normally a “safe” bet to book a 4 star hotel from the Mercure brand, but this was not the case. As we entered our room, a bad smell started “old and dust mixed with “smoking like dusk” smell. We booked an apartment for the family to sleep for one night, as soon as we walked we did not like what we saw. Furniture is old and dated. No remote controls in the room. The room was not cleaned and sanitized, specially during this season in Europe. We asked if there was an alternative room at the reception but they said the hotel was fully booked. Which was not true as we have barely seen anyone else in our area. The receptionist did not even bothered looking for an alternative. There was no towel in the room and no amenities. So we called the reception, their answer was “come and pick them up from here” The only good pint is the golf course location, everything else is NOT worth your money. Bad customer service, old furniture, horrible smell and no 4 star at all. Expensive food! I would give a -1 star if it was possible. "
"It was just a short overnight stay. Upgraded to a refurbished Privilege room. Very helpful reception staff at both check in and check out. Free garage parking. Good quality WiFi. Lovely quiet views over the golf course. "

"We arrived at about 2000. As soon as we entered the hotel, the receptionist came to greet us and asked our names. Within a very short while we were in our room. The room is a decent size with ample storage. A flat screen T.V and kettle are supplied. There is a table cum work area Window is double glazed meaning that sleep quality is at its best and can be opened for fresh air. Lighting in the room is not as bright as we would like but sufficient. Ample power points to charge to ones delight. There is a well set out bathroom with shower that is just tops. A separate toilet is most welcome. There ia a second door between the room and toilet which deadens any possible noise from the passage. A minibar completes the extra facilities. There is individual controlled air conditioner but set to a 25c minimum temperature. We are used to sleeping at a temperature of 22c or 23c. At least we could open the window but not ideal. What is lacking is a safe which are on the ground floor, a small inconvenience there is a restaurant=% bar on the ground floor. Hotel well placed for airport bus and within easy walking distance of most sights. We returned to the hotel after a couple of days touring and we enjoyed the same check in method. Apparently when ones details are in their system it results in speedier check in. Check out is even simpler. We were departing early and on seeing us the receptionist asked our name. A quick check and we were on our way.The airport bus stops maybe 20M from the hotel and is so easy to reach ones flight. At the airport, on checking my email, the final invoice had already been received,"
"Great welcome from receptionist who found us a map and took trouble to point out what to see and where to eat in the city. Staff at breakfast were equally helpful. When one of them saw me looking at local food on the buffet he came over and explained about the Jesuit pastries, and local cheese. Room configuration was ideal for a family group of parents plus teenager. Location very convenient for public transport as metro station and airport shuttle stop were just outside. We really enjoyed our trip to Toulouse and this hotel was a key part of that."
"Superb buffet and service with a lot of things and local products, service at buffet was really great and kind. There are multiple sections with cheese , pastry, different kinds of French bread and amazing scrummble eggs with bacon and sausages."
