The hotel is an old row of buildings, simple and simple, the size of the room is ok, the roof is very high, the windows are very long and long to the roof, you can see the church and the old building outside. The facilities are old, the TV is very small, there is a friendly front desk for check-in, but the service is only for one night. The main reason is the price/performance ratio and the geographical location. It is close to all the attractions.
- MINGHAN
Just next to Haymarket, there are more foods, but there are not many attractions. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the city, but the traffic is very convenient. The hotel is next to the big station, the bus is next to it, breakfast is not as good as expected, the variety is relatively simple.

This is the most satisfying hotel in this trip. I hope I can stay a few more days next time. The hotel has a beautiful appearance and the rooms are large and Scottish-style. Compare the prices of five-star hotels in London that cost only one, two, and one night The Balmoral 5k per night is well worth it! It's also very close to Waverley Bridge, just on Princes Street. Nothing to say about the location
- Guest User
The location is very good. It's just outside the train station. The room is also good. The breakfast is also delicious. The service is very good and very welcoming. It's very close to the attractions and can be reached on foot. I will choose this place again next time I come to Edinburgh.

The location is close to the train station, so it's very good that you don't have to carry your suitcases uphill! You can easily walk to various attractions in Edinburgh, and there are many restaurants around you to eat and drink. Book a foreign hotel on Ctrip, check in/out is barrier-free, but the location of the room is not ideal, the price is not low, the window of the room is actually in a dead corner, you can't see the sky!

The room is clean and the main location is very convenient. You can drink whatever you want in the hotel mini bar. The service of the lady at the front desk is very good. For the first time, we arranged a downstairs room for us. After asking for a change, we were immediately changed to another room

The check-in was very comfortable and the service was very good. The suitcase code of the day was forgotten. The younger brother at the front desk patiently ran two times and tried to help us open! The hotel is very beautiful and has an English manor! But to get used to the inconvenience caused by old-fashioned objects, the faucet of the washstand is separated from cold water and hot water, which is a little inconvenient. Free bed for us, breakfast is more traditional English, but very nutritious! Afternoon tea can also be experienced!

The hotel was converted from a private villa of the old duke hundreds of years ago. The room is small, there is no way to an extra bed, but the environment is very good. The large lawn at the entrance of the hotel is a golf course. The hotel also has a lot of peacocks flying around, and there is a yellow, black and two cows in the cattle farm. Children are more happy to play inside. A lot of people also came to have afternoon tea, and I also booked a private room where the Queen was said to have had afternoon tea. In short, staying here is quite leisurely, and taxis to Edinburgh city centre are less than 10 minutes away.

Hapimag was my hotel choice for a 2 night stay with my family. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to Princes Street and is therefore conveniently located - quiet at night but not too far out of the city centre. The three of us booked a townhouse bedroom featuring a king size bed and a sofa bed. The room was majestic - easily one of the biggest ones I’ve ever stayed in. In fact, it was pretty much a 2 bedroom flat with 2 independent bathrooms. The decor was traditional, with high ceilings and thick draping curtains. The room could easily become a suitable accommodation for a family staying for an even longer period of time, as it featured a microwave, good-sized fridge and other amenities such as a corkscrew. With such a great hard product, the soft product let the whole experience down occasionally with minor faults. For example - the sofa bed was not made up when we came in and after contacting reception we were told we could make it ourselves and bedding was found in the cupboard. After enquiring why that wasn’t already made for us, we were told they don’t usually make it in case there isn’t a third person in the party. I did however email them in advance specifying there would be 3 of us. Tea and UHT milk was not replenished after the first night when housekeeping came to tidy up the room. What I found most annoying was that they advertised having a nespresso coffee machine in the room, yet they didn’t provide any capsules! You had to buy them at their own shop downstairs for £4.50 a sleeve of 10. I only needed a couple for the 2 mornings I woke up there… why putting a nice amenity and not let me use it ? Bathroom amenities were also lacking as they only provide a generic wall-installed 3in1 hair and body wash. If I could give the room a 6* review I would, but a few minor details spoiled what would’ve otherwise been an outstanding stay. Nevertheless, I would recommend Hapimag as a great hotel where to stay for a visit in Edinburgh.

The room was beautiful with comfortable beds and an awesome claw foot tub. The honesty store was a nice touch. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. They gave us a welcome basket because one of the curtain rods was broken which didn't bother us but it was so thoughtful of them. If you want a charming hotel, this is the place to go!!

We loved our stay. The staff were all frienldy and the service was brilliant overall. The breakfasts were delicious, and there's a good choice of dishes. We stayed in the Lost Lager room, and it was brilliant! Lots of space and the facilities were great. Couple of downsides were the noise from outside/other rooms and the fact you can't login to your own streaming services and the choices availble were very limited. However, the rest of the facilities were fab - loved the terrace, sweet pick n mix and the free water and coffee in the lounge area on the 1st floor. We'd definitely stay here and at other BrewDog hotels again.

..wow, the doghouse rocks..! Went there for a rugby weekend. We had the Elvis Juice room. Very nice experience with lots of tasty beers and pubfood. I liked the room and what I found in, a real guitar, vinyl player and a bunch of records. Good thing the beer filled freezer in the toilet. Breakfast was good as well. The only thing I missed was the promised check-out bill by eMail which never came. Instead I receive daily commercials. Anyway, I will certainly go there again..

Very much enjoyed our stay at this quirky but fun and charming hotel. The little red fridge was a really fun touch. The hotel was a bit confusing to negotiate but the staff was very helpful getting us to the right place. The location was great. We were able to walk to areas of interest.

Nice hotel, the size of the room was great and it was cleaned propertly. The food was fantastic at ”Eve”, I recommend the sharing plate IF you go there. Take a drink and go up to the rooftop, magnific view over the city!

I spent 18 nights in Apartment 2 during the last half of August 2023 and could not have been happier. I was booked up so solidly during that time -- mostly for the book fair but with some Fringe events as well -- that I sat down in a restaurant only once during my stay. I knew in advance that having a kitchen would be helpful but couldn't have guessed just how helpful. The location of the hotel is incomparable -- I walked everywhere with ease, and the street was quiet no matter how busy Grassmarket or Southbridge were. Just a short walk home to peace. There are Sainsburys every few blocks so you can pick up food easily, and don't miss Nando's for takeaway or dine in. The Edinburgh farmers market is just a couple of blocks from the hotel -- another reason to stay in one of the apartments if you'll be staying more than a few days. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and linens were high quality. Housekeeping was completely unobtrusive and thorough. All staff seemed to be as delighted to be there as I was. The bathroom was huge -- mine did not have a tub, but the walk in shower was luxurious and the toiletries smelled like heaven. The bath towels are thick and absorbent, and more like the size of bath sheets. Everything was super clean. If you will be staying here and are considering a massage during your stay, I strongly recommend the Lush Spa, just a few blocks away and a real value for the money.

Had a wonderful two days at The Rutland Hotel in Edinburgh. Room was immaculate and so very comfortable. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Hotel was very well located to central Edinburgh with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Only drawback is that parking was not on premises and fairly good distance from hotel. You will really enjoy having The Rutland as your base in Edinburgh.

We booked this last minute during a road trip to Scotland. The room seemed reasonably priced for Edinburgh compared to other similarly rated hotels in the city. Our room was ‘Milan’ and the decor was a little extravagant but clean and modern nonetheless. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and separate bath tub. We were given a token for 2 free glasses of Prosecco that evening which was a nice touch. The member of staff at checkin was friendly and efficient. We had breakfast included which was a choice off a menu, full breakfast through to eggs Benedict etc. options for everyone I would say. There was unlimited juice and hot beverages which was good value. The only downside to the hotel is the noise from the bar downstairs. As it was a Saturday night some noise is expected so we did not complain. It wasn’t so loud to be a real issue. Earplugs are supplied if needed! All in all it was a great nights stay in a clean and modern hotel slap bang in the city centre with helpful staff.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Le Monde Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming, with lots of great recommendations of places to go and things to do. We were upgraded to the New York suite for our 10th wedding anniversary, which was a wonderful surprise and very much appreciated. Breakfast was amazing, especially the French toast! And the cocktails in the beautiful bar area were divine. The hotel is situated in a brilliant location and everything is within walking distance. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Le Monde Hotel and look forward to staying again in the future.
