"Noelle is the kind of hotel that feels like home with a staff that feels like family. From the grandiose lobby to the cozy archives, from a surprise "anti-Valentine's" party at the Hidden Bar to sunsets by the fire at the RareBird rooftop bar, there is an adventure or a comfort around every turn. The hotel has become my ritual: in the morning, Sump coffee at Drug Store Cafe and in the evening, a visit to the luxurious gym or Netflix via screenshare in my bed. After dozens of stays, I have yet to see Noelle's gold accents lose their lustre nor its historical homages lose their charm. I fear that I won't know how much my time at Noelle has meant to me until I no longer walk feel the sense of calm and delight wash over me upon entering the lobby and being greeted by genuine hospitality. Which brings me to the hardest goodbye of all: Noelle's staff. When I first arrived late on a Sunday night, anxious for a work week ahead, it was Tye and Denise who soothed me, treating me like the friends we would soon become. Upstairs, a fresh cheese plate and a card with a personal note awaited me as if they knew exactly what I needed to feel supported on my first night in a new city. I never imagined that my offhand comment to Denise and Tye about doing a girls' night with my best friend a month later would be remembered, and that a chilled bottle of champagne would await us she we arrived. A few weeks later, Tye beckoned me behind the front desk to watch a video of a marriage proposal during Nashville's tornado. I watch, moved and transfixed, while Tye moves effortlessly between checking in guests and filling me in on details. It wasn't until later that I found out the woman in the video was a recent guest at the hotel, and that not only did Tye open her welcoming arms in the midst of the city's trauma, but she has been organizing care packages and donation support for her family ever since. I will never forget on the morning of the Nashville Tornado when I came downstairs, in barely sound enough state to rise from bed, to find that each and every staff member had driven miles to be there serving hot breakfast and checking on their guests. Isaac at Drug Store Café, who had been up all night only a few hundred feet from the twister, not only remembered my order by heart but offered to give it to me on the house when I dazedly couldn't find my card. Over the weeks, I've seen the staff look after one another with just as genuine a care as the guests. Seeing Tye and Denise expertly coach Alexandria, Hayley and other new staff, or the whole team work together when I mistakenly sent a tub of ice cream to the hotel instead of to my office (I can't imagine their self-restraint!) has been an unexpected joy. I never imagined that as a business traveller, I could find such a home away from home and a family in this talented, professional, and deeply committed team. "We recently stayed at Noelle and overall our experience was very disappointing. The property is lovely and well appointed, but VERY LOUD due to the activity on the street below. Some of the hotel staff are very friendly and seem pleased to be still in business. However, we had a couple of encounters with restaurant/management/ staff that were completely unacceptable. Particularly, when the hotel/hospitality industry has everything to lose with the continued pandemic. It would seem every hotel would be going above and beyond for guests in hopes of keeping their hotel numbers stable. We arrived in Nashville after a long day of travel and it was sunny/82 degrees. We checked in to the hotel and inquired about outdoor terraces for food/drink. We come from an area strictly enforcing social distancing and face masks are required everywhere which is not at all the atmosphere in Nashville. The staff at Noelle wore masks, but there was no effort to require hotel guests to abide by mask wearing. Hence we wanted outdoor seating. We estimated nearly 80% of the people we passed on the streets in Nashville also did NOT wear masks or practicing social distancing. Possibly why the Covid cases continue to rise in Tennessee. The front desk attendants told us the rooftop at Noelle was open for food/drink and they also suggested several other rooftop locations within walking distance. We decided to stay at the Noelle and proceeded up to the rooftop. We arrived at 4:10 pm with a few clouds in the sky, however, rain was forecast later that evening. When we went to enter the restaurant, the manager rudely told us she had just given last call due to a storm moving in. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience or make any suggestions for alternatives. She simply slammed things around in an effort to depart. Coincidentally, a friend, significant other or spouse was waiting for her as she tried to get things shut down even though the restaurant was over 50% occupied. She was out of there with her companion before the elevator returned. Hmm.... We checked the local and national weather radar and there was a 15% chance of rain by 6 pm - nearly two hours later. We took our dinner and drink business down the block to an alternate hotel with a rooftop and enjoyed it. Not a single rain drop fell until nearly 8 pm and lasted approximately 30 minutes. Other patrons getting off the elevator were also baffled by the abrupt closing of the Noelle rooftop. There were several hours of food and drink business lost. Certainly, the people in Nashville don't close down everything when there is rain forecast? Even Friday Night Football went on as usual, although several games did have a 40 minute rain delay mid way through! ha When we returned to the hotel, we searched for any kind of cup in a protective covering or bottled water to take medication. Nothing. We called the front desk to inquire about a glass and we were rudely told that due to Covid all of the glassware and b"
"My husband and I stayed in this hotel from the 11th-13th February 2020 in Room 904. The hotel has a restaurant and the food is good and not too expensive, a coffee shop, Conference Room, rooftop bar and a gym. The hotel is 2 blocks from Nashville’s Broadway. The room was very nice and compact with a large flat screen TV with shelving underneath. There was a wardrobe and drawers which housed the safe, a side table by the bed with a radio charging station. A large mirror. The bed was a lovely size with overhead lights. There were plenty of sockets, a telephone, free WIFI. The room also had an ice bucket, steamer and complimentary water in a bottle that was yours to keep. In the lobby there was ice and hot water. The bathroom had a large mirror, vanity mirror, toiletries, white towelling including flannels, tissues and hairdryer. There was a large walk-in shower. The air on and heating was very efficient. The reception area was nice with friendly and helpful staff and a small shop. If we returned to Nashville, we would definitely stay at this hotel again."
