The Paradores are historic building turned into hotels. This is my 6th Parador that I have stayed ! The grounds are unique with a beautiful view of the harbor. Rooms are immaculate and made for older well to do passengers. Atmosphere is a little snotty and personnel not too friendly except for a the head of the breakfast area and the bellboys . Will return because it is a Parador

Amazing Hotel - Beautiful Decor & one of the best sleeps I have had in a Hotel. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Access to rooftop Pool is charged but definitely worth the money and experience. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

As Marinas is a good overnight stop for the coastal route of the Camino Portugues to shorten the days' hikes from A Guarda and/or to Vigo. The hotel/spa is ＞15 minutes walk along the coast from where the Camino turns inland towards the Alto and well priced for the quality. My room was a good size with 3/4 size twin beds, a sofa, desk and office chair. There was also a mini fridge that contained only a couple of bottles of water. The bathroom was reasonably spacious with a large walk in shower. I had one of the cheaper rooms at the side of the building that did not include a sea view but the sea was actually quite visible from the balcony. The room and the whole building was very quiet. The hotel includes a formal restaurant that didn't start serving dinner until 9.00pm which was a non-starter with a full day's walking the next day. However, there was also a cafe and bar that had a wonderful sea view terrace with indoor and outdoor seating and a good light menu. My tariff included breakfast which was a substantial buffet also served in the cafe. My only complaint about breakfast was lack of real coffee with the only version available coming from a Nescafe machine. Unfortunately the spa had no appointments left for that day in spite of it being a weekday in May. I had hoped to have a few kinks massaged out of my tired body but that was not to be. Talaso Atlantico is a good option to break up the long walks of the coastal Camino Portugues or just for a few pampering and relaxation.

Very nice hotel-spa located at one of the beaches of Vigo. You can take long walks along the beaches from the Pazo . The rooms in the older part area a bit on the dark side, those located in the modern building are beautiful and bright! The breakfast is superb but a bit expensive though. Very nice spa and little pool outside . Great possibilities to park your car outside and in their spacious underground parking. Their Italian restaurant on the floor below is not to be recommended .. anyway, a very nice experience in Paso l'os Escudos !

Well positioned in the old town of Vigo. Across the street from the busy marina. Handy for lots of local bars and seafood restaurants. The hotel reception area is quite small with the restaurant area adjacent. It looks like it should be a lot bigger from the outside. It's an old building. We had room 312 which was well big enough. We found it quite dimly lit. The TV is not surprisingly all Spanish and Portuguese channels. There is no tea and coffee facility in the room. You need to purchase a drink from the restaurant and when I went to get one it was closed. We had a problem with the bathroom sink stopper becoming stuck so we had a full sink for most of a day. It was rectified eventually. We found the bed rather low to the floor. It isn't a Marriott bed either. It's a cheap bed on six small legs. The middle two were badly bent over which I fixed. It wasn't a comfy bed. The room did have a small balcony which was nice to sit on. The star of this hotel is undoubtedly Santiago on the reception desk. He was very nice and helpful with great English. If returning though, I would choose a different place to stay.

This is a delightful 4 star hotel in a very good location in Vigo. Very good room with balcony, separate shower and no bath. Very good staff and an excellent meal for a group of Camino walkers in a private room. Close to the Camino. Recommended for walkers.
