Right by the Malacca River, definitely in the center of the scenic area, an old house, recommended by Owl, suitable for checking in, old objects, old furniture, but not amazing, just piled up. But it is not suitable for tourism and living. You have to wear slippers when going upstairs. It is uncomfortable to walk. It is extremely inconvenient and completely uncomfortable. There are no windows. It faces the street and is very noisy. You can't fall asleep before 11:30. The wooden floor has no sound insulation at all. When you walk, the floor makes a bang. The furniture in the room is basically unusable. They are all decorations. There is also a risk of bumping and shaking... The stairs are very narrow and steep, which is quite dangerous. There are three people in my family. The century-old bed is crooked... It is very uncomfortable to sleep on it, and the air conditioner can't blow in. It's hot. When people leave, the air conditioner is turned off. There are no windows (actually there are, but they are locked and can't be opened facing the street). The air is not good. The quality of the bedding is that of a small hotel. All the switches and electrical appliances are old switches, which are difficult to use. There are only two power supply locations, and they are all in inconvenient locations... In short, it is a very impractical room, suitable for **, not suitable for human habitation. It is a failed experience and seriously unworthy of the price. It is recommended to find a modern and comfortable hotel for Malacca tourism, because the city is very small and there is no problem of inconvenient transportation. For later reference, learn from my lessons, especially not suitable for families with children! Remember!

A hotel with local characteristics, the public space and rooms are filled with ancient furniture and furnishings. You don't even need to go to the Nyonya Museum to see it haha. It's just because it's an old house, so you have to be more careful when using it. It's a bit inconvenient to carry large luggage because it's not easy to drag on the ground.
The location is first-class, right in the center of the scenic spot, it's convenient to go anywhere, and you can come back to rest halfway.
The breakfast is also very local and delicious. The restaurant is not open to the public, only for customers to have breakfast, otherwise I think it should be on the must-eat list of reviews.

The location is good and it's newly renovated, but there's no window and only one bedside table. The electrical outlets are severely lacking; one is used for the bedside lamp, leaving only one in the bathroom and one next to the TV. If you want to boil water or charge two devices, you only have that one! The public hallway and the room itself are tiled, which makes every sound echo. The cleaning staff start vacuuming at 8:15 AM. They plug the vacuum into an outlet in the hallway and then drag the cord into the rooms to clean, so the vacuum noise is incredibly loud.
We stayed for two nights and no one cleaned the room. Reviews mentioned the staff here are very enthusiastic, but I didn't experience that at all. The female staff member who checked me in around 8 PM didn't smile once during the whole process. I was very disappointed to find there was no window in the room, especially since I had requested one. When I went back to ask the staff member, she said they couldn't arrange it that night but could switch us to a room with a window the next day if one was available. I said that was fine, as long as I got a window, I didn't mind if it changed from a twin room to a larger room with a double bed. However, the next day, there was absolutely no update, as if nothing had been discussed. Is this their idea of hospitality? Later, I discovered a rectangular window that I initially thought was just decorative. It turns out it looks out onto the shops downstairs. Does that even count as a window?
Compared to other places in the area, the price isn't cheap. The room is small, and there was no cleaning even though we stayed multiple nights. We had to go to the front desk ourselves to get the two bottles of water on the second day, and they wouldn't give us an extra one. Plus, because it's a staircase, we had to carry our luggage up and down ourselves! Haha, out of the three hotels we've stayed at in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and this one over the past 10 days, this one had the worst service attitude. I really didn't feel any hospitality here.

The room was great, and the customer service was excellent. I booked too many rooms, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help me sort it out. A special shout-out to the Chinese-speaking lady at the hotel who helped me resolve some issues. I highly recommend this hotel – it's right at the entrance of Jonker Street, the most vibrant area in Melaka. The 'A Ma Milk Tea' across the street is also delicious for breakfast. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay. Thanks again to Fomecs, and a big thank you to Ctrip's concierge, Xiaoyou, who was a great help. I'm very grateful 🙏

Recently I had the pleasure of staying at The Majestic Malacca and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and well-maintained.
The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making my stay very relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good
night’s sleep.
I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, who were always ready to assist and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend The Majestic Malacca to anyone looking for quality accommodation. I look forward to my next visit!

Very Nanyang style! Although the hotel is older, it's still well-maintained. It probably used to be a high-star hotel given its setup. The location is excellent. Even though my visit to Malacca was brief, I had a good impression of the hotel. The restaurant offers a set menu where you can order whatever you like, and they're all signature dishes that my son really enjoyed. It was quiet too! Thumbs up!

This hotel absolutely deserves a full five-star rating for its location, service, and ambiance! Upon arrival, the front desk thoughtfully offered a smoothie and a cold towel, instantly refreshing us from the scorching travel heat. After check-in, a staff member personally escorted us to our room, and we even received meticulous turndown service in the evening – a truly excellent experience.
The location is also impeccable. Directly across the river is the famous Dutch Square (Red Square), and it's only about a 200-meter walk to Jonker Street and the night market, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
What surprised me the most was discovering, while looking through old photos, that I had unknowingly captured this hotel in a picture way back in 2012 when I first visited Malacca. To reunite with it years later as a guest feels like a rare and wonderful serendipitous encounter. Highly recommended!

The room was spacious and right by the Malacca River – opening the window to that view, wow, it was incredible! We could even dine on the balcony, which was so relaxing. The service was excellent; we received a welcome gift with ice balls and fruit upon check-in. It's also super close to all the Malacca attractions. The only thing was that the hotel staff only spoke English, so I had to stumble through my words. Luckily, my private driver and photographer helped me out. I really need to work on my English for next time, haha! We took some beautiful Nyonya costume photos here!

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Jonker Street, making it super convenient to get around. When you're tired from shopping, you can just pop back to the hotel to rest your feet and enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea.
The ambiance is elegant with classic, old-school Nanyang style decor. The family-run front desk is warm and friendly. You'll notice thoughtful details everywhere, from the wrought-iron spiral staircase in the common areas to the furniture and window frames in the rooms, and even the toilet flush handle in the bathroom.
The hygiene is excellent, and the service is attentive. The several restaurants recommended by the front desk staff were all fantastic. Highly recommend!

Our stay here exceeded expectations. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a strong Nanyang style, and every corner is spotless. The staff are warm and attentive. The bedding in the room was very comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. I must mention the hotel's breakfast; there's a great variety. I highly recommend the Kaya Butter Toast – the charcoal-grilled bread with rich kaya jam was absolutely delicious. The hotel is also close to Jonker Street, with most major attractions within walking distance.

It feels a bit like a hostel, but the hygiene is good, and you have to take off your shoes when you enter. There's a very cute and friendly cat. On the first night, there was no hot water, but it was resolved after I reported it. The concept of Swallow's Nest is environmental protection and energy saving, so sometimes it feels inconvenient, but on second thought, it's not bad. The room is quite small, and the bathroom design is extremely compact. Since they don't provide breakfast, the hotel offers free instant noodles and coffee packets. The lobby on the first floor feels like a living room at home. It's very comfortable to sit and chat with a cup of Milo before bed.

My stay at The Nest House in Melaka and below is the review:-
A stylish boutique homestay with character, good decor, natural light, comfortable bed.
Helpful staff who are friendly and willing to assist.
Quiet nights despite being fairly central; good place if you want peace but still be near what Melaka offers.
Free parking is a plus. Free snacks/drinks/refreshments in the common area are often mentioned.
Toothpaste is not provide, please bring your own.
If your room is upstairs, there will be stairs and no lift.
