Contrada Dammusi, Province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy
"We had a relaxing two days here enjoying the scenery, delicious food and spa facilities. Particularly like the outdoor jacuzzi and the views! The spa is a lovely experience with friendly staff. Looking forward to returning when the new outdoor pool is finished. Also loved the private terrace off our bedroom with mountain views and palm trees. Was impressed with how the chef adapted the menu to suit allergies and the quality of the food was exceptional, especially the steak. Only cons are: the reception was closed when we arrived and it would have been nice to have been shown to a space to relax or get a drink after a long journey; the lights in the grounds were also switched off - we definitely would have spent time there in the evenings if they had been on. Recommend bringing snacks as there is no bar/vending machine in the facility. We will definitely recommend to friends."
"We happened upon this place by accident. We were trying to stay close to San Guiseppe Jato and our reserved place in the neighboring town was disappointing. Our driver who was familiar with this villa, contacted the owner on short notice . Our stay was a surprising delight. The hospitality of the owner, Tamara, was exceptional. The staff was kind and friendly. The facility itself was beautiful and the views of the mountains/valley were breathtaking. My only regret was that we didn't have enough time to spend there."
"my son and daughter in law married in the vicinity. my family which consisted of 20 plus people stayed at the resort for 4 days. the location was spectacular, the staff friendly and cooperative. the rooms were very clean and food was great. excellent my family and I will return such a great location. they are all great"

Lungomare La Battigia, Alcamo Marina, Sicily, Italy
"We stayed here for 8 nights. It is the only hotel at Alcamo Marina on a long stretch of beach between Balestrate and Castellammare del Golfo. The hotel is small and very friendly, everything feels fresh and clean and there are plenty of staff around. We had a superior room with a sea view, which is highly recommended. The sea is only a few metres from the rooms so being able to hear and see the waves was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel provides sun beds, umbrellas and towels for the beach and the pool. The beach is sandy and the water quite shallow so good for swimming and sunbathing. There is a restaurant and bar on site, and excellent food options for breakfast and dinner. The wider area is quiet - travelling to nearby towns does require a car or taxi transfer though it is possible to walk if you don’t mind walking on the roadside. As such the hotel is ideal for a relaxing break or as a base for travelling more widely if you rent a car or take excursions."
"The La Battigia is a small cosy family managed hotel. The view over the bay is stunning and a great theatre for sunset. The beach is very clean and good for swimming. A small but nice pool completes the nice setup. Our room had a romantic round bed and new bathroom. There are no restaurants in near walking distance, hence we enjoyed the good hotel restaurant F&B. All staff are very nice and helpful with a smile. We certainly recommend the La Battigia and it provides very good value for money."
"Fantastic location: right on the white sand private beach with stunning views. Friendly staff, facilities are very good ( pool towels, umbrellas & sunbeds and water activities are available) Breakfast took a little bit longer due to COVID 19 health measures. Bear in mind about late evening events at swimming pool / restaurant area ( it didn't disturb us)."

Via Peppino Impastato, Snc, Cinisi, Sicily, Italy
"We stayed in old Palermo for 5 nights, traveled on our own in the Sicilian mountains for 5 days, and stayed at the resort the last night in order to be close to the airport and away from the bustle of Palermo for a flight to Rome. This resort was fabulous. I assumed the beautiful photos were to lure travelers to an average hotel, but the place is every bit as beautiful as the photos. We were able to check in early and enjoy a day sitting by the fabulous pool and exploring the magnificent gardens with flowers and fruit trees. Management arranged for transfers from and to the airport, We were supplied with a fan, since the temp in our room was a little warmer than we liked, and a hot pot was delivered to our room when we asked for one. I am so impressed with the outstanding service given by every single person employed by this resort. I only wished I had booked more nights at the end of our stay in Sicily. Thank you to everyone we encountered (including our lunch and dinner guest, the cat). What a find!"
"Beautiful property with manicured grounds, most pleasant swimming pool and incredible staff. Spacious (and super clean!) rooms, nice verandas facing the sea and splendid sunsets. Great (Sicilian gourmet) fiid too. A lot of attention paid to detail. Superb location, steps away from the beach and in between the lively villages of Terrassini and Cinisi. Unbeatable in all accounts. A gem of a place, we had a perfect, very relaxing, stay and cannot wait to be back. Torneremo presto. Grazie! "
"a nice hotel near the Palermo airport. if you have an early morning flight out of Palermo or get in late this hotel is the perfect place for the night. It is a 10 minute drive to airport. the rooms are pretty big and clean. the bed was big but uncomfortable like most in Sicily. the pillows were hard and not fluffy. they have a large beautiful outdoor pool. the restaurant is also really good considering it is at a hotel. the restaurant setting with olive trees filled with lights was pretty. service was good. breakfast the next morning was also pretty good. this hotel is the perfect way to start or end your stay in Sicily."

"I went to homeland for a business trip and didn’t feel like to stay at my parents’s as it was a business trip and needed my space. I was so amazed to discover Alkamuri and the cares the staff reserved for me, gifting me with the most relaxing staying in other the most beautiful spa! Everyone treated me with kindness and made me feel on ease and happy! I hand the best work performance and things are going great! Fully recommended! Ask for Andre, he is the coolest owner ever! "
"The hotel is located around one km from the city centre of Alcamo . It is walkable distance . The hotel has a huge terrace restaurant but during my stay it was closed due to Covid. It has an amiable staff and I had a pleasant stay."
"I went to this hotel last night with my partner and we had an orrible experience. We paid 50 euros more to have the room with jacuzzi and the balcon , but we didn’t use this service because we found a lot ants in the bed , in the kitchen and on the floor . The room was full of ants alive and died. They changed us to another room but without the service for what we paid for. We asked to have a refund of that extra money and they said it was not possible . I also took from the fridge a lemon Schweppes but the cup was a bit open and when I drank it I found out that inside there was water . This means that they don’t look at the drinks before to welcome new people. I have videos about everything but In the web they let me put only photos. I really advice against this place!"

Via Libertà 128 A, Isola delle Femmine, Sicily, Italy
"This is a large resort that is still in the midst of off-season renovations. We stayed for several days as part of a small group. Our group leaders were fluent in Italian; the rest of us were not, but did not feel it was a problem. The staff are friendly and accommodating; most speak passable English. The room (320) was very large and clean, well air conditioned, with large bathroom with bidet and good water pressure. The terrace tiles need replacing, and although we had a nice sea view, directly underneath was a really dirty concrete roof. It did not spoil things for me, but might for another person. Clientele: The hotel was fully booked with extended Sicilian families. There were hundreds of children of all ages. There are no "adults only" areas as far as I could tell. Everyone was well behaved and all seemed really happy to be there. The beach was crowded bu nice, connected to hotel by underground tunnel. The signage should be better giving directions around the resort. The street along the beach is lined with restaurants if you wish to get some meals elsewhere. There are two pools, one at the sea side, one at the back, with beautiful views. The back one is scheduled to undergo renovation. Right now, there are no steps into that pool, just ladders. Plenty of areas to sunbathe with chaises. The back pool bar was really good, the front not so good. Food: The food at lunch and dinner was really good. Even if a particular dish does not LOOK good, try it anyway- it was all delicious, and a huge selection at lunch and dinner. The free wine was good. One night was " Sicilian " night- lots of music and fun. If you buy into the full board plan, you have your own reserved table every day for lunch and dinner. The breakfast was OK, but could be improved with a bigger selection, like include oatmeal and more meat , maybe an omelette station. Tons of eggplant and Octopus done every which way . The pasta dishes were amazing. We are New Yorkers, some native Italians and we all thought it was good. There is also an outdoor pizzeria that was very good. There is an excursion desk, taxis into Palermo, and plenty of family activities, plus a show every night. If you are an American family with small children wanting to relax at the beach for a few days before hitting smaller hotels elsewhere in Sicily, don't hesitate, your kids will have fun here. I only have one WARNING: The noise level here is VERY HIGH,all over, but especially in the dining room. If anyone in your party is hard of hearing or on the spectrum, or otherwise bothered by high noise level, do not stay here. The first day was startling. We eventually got used to the noise level and recognized the resort for what it is- a big family resort. It would however be really good if the renovations could include dialing down the dining area noise. My only major complaint is - NO WIFI IN ROOMS. I am told they will be fixing that. My minor complaint is: Having to use "bar cards" which are indistinguishable fro"
"We spent 4 days in the hotel. I knew there was renovation works going on at the time of the booking, but I was informed that most of the work was finished already. When we arrived there were a number of workers still busy painting, drilling the walls, so the renovation is still full on. The reception desk is not ready yet, the staff is sitting behind a table hidden under cables. I booked the free airport shuttle, and I was informed that it would be waiting for us at the airport terminal. However when we arrived, there was nobody there. After waiting 20 min I called the hotel. the first person who picked up the phone doesn't speak English, so she transferred me to somebody else. He kept me on hold for 5 min until he was checking the situation. When he got back to me he said that the shuttle is not at the airport (which I already knew), and I should wait. I asked when was the shuttle coming and he said he didn't know. I asked him what should I do then, and he hung up the phone. We waited another 10 minutes when I called back the hotel again, and they said that the shuttle was on the way already and was gonna arrive in 5 minutes. We waited another 30 minutes, and the shuttle finally arrived. The hotel was about 15 minutes from the airport, so it is hard to see how was the shuttle already on the way and arrived only 30 min later. The check in process was nice and easy. We got a room which had no balcony. I asked the receptionist to change rooms and get one with a balcony, which she said they had none, even though the hotel was basically empty at that stage. Anyway it's not all bad. The hotel grounds are very nice, they have a number of pools, heaps of sun loungers and a private beach area. The beach is very nice, the water is clear, what else would you need. The room was comfortable, the beds are large and firm. The bathroom is large, however the water in the shower wasn't going down the drain, so after having a shower the bathroom floor was flooded and the water kept going into the living area and even outside the door to the corridor. The walls are very thin, you can hear the neighbours and noises from outside. Basically every night there was a "road race" just outside of the hotel, so I couldn't sleep for 2 hours from the noise of the cars/bikes whatever it was. Last night it was very windy outside and the wind kept moving the door and the window, which was very noisy so I couldn't sleep. Generally the food is OK, however there is not much choice for coeliac or diabetic people. There is no sweetener to use only sugar, no dairy free milk, no gluten free options. On the first day there was a few gluten free biscuits, but not on the following days. There is no vegetables for breakfast at all. The local wine is free and delicious, highly recommended. Most of the food is cold at dinner what I didn't really understood why. The dinner starts quite late at 19:45, so most people would be there at the same time when the restaurant opens, which makes i"
"A seaside hotel located west of the city of Palermo (20 km) with 2 outdoors pools and a private beach. Each hotel room has a reserved beach umbrella for the duration of stay which means no need to hurry every morning to book an umbrella like in other such places. Food for lunch and dinner is of course Mediterranean and very tasty. Congratulations to the cooks! Congratulations also to the entertaining team who works hard all day long and night as well. Make sure to watch from the terrace the beautiful scenic sunset above the sea"

Via Giuseppe Verdi 4, Monreale, Sicily, Italy
"Tucked away in a small street close to the wonderful cathedral, Opera Boutique is the ideal place to stay. Carlo and Antonella (both former professional musicians) have created a lovely, welcoming pensione. The rooms ( I didn’t see the suites) are large enough, spotlessly clean, well equipped including coffee machine, and come with air conditioning and (for the winter) underfloor heating. Big Italian breakfasts are included, and they also do outstanding meals using only Sicilian produce (including from Carlo’s garden): but beware...there is *a lot* of food. The free Wi-fi worked fine in our room as well as downstairs. Free ride to the airport as well. Stay here for all this, but above all for the natural hospitality and “cuore” of the owners."

Via Porta Palermo 106, Province of Trapani, Sicily, Italy
"Such a disappointing hotel. A nice looking building with what must have once been some nice design features but it has been neglected and uncared for. The on-suite bathroom was unpleasant with the most rusty towel rail I've seen in a hotel. The pool was ok at the beginning of the week but was decidedly cloudy and green later. The breakfast buffet was very poor without an effort to even lay tables out. I feel this hotel typifies Sicily, in that it could be so lovely but no- one is caring for it."
