Popular Luxury Hotels in Trincomalee

We planned our trip to Sri Lanka so that we could start with a few days at the beach, somewhere in nature, where there would be a lot of peace and good accommodation conditions. Although February is in the off-season for the eastern area, we chose the northeastern area precisely for peace and nature. We found the Uga Jungle Hotel, which matched the description of what we wanted. After a five-hour journey from Colombo, we arrived very tired early in the morning, although our accommodation officially started at 2 pm. We were received very nicely and after breakfast we were accommodated. After recovering we discovered one of the most beautiful five star hotels where we have stayed so far. The resort is located in a lagoon area, surrounded by a lagoon jungle, just like you see in the exotic movies. I appreciated the way it was built to protect the nature around it. The room was huge, very well maintained and with quality finishes. The cleaning is exemplary, it is cleaned twice a day. The bathroom is huge, 10-12 m long, equipped with absolutely everything you need. The view from the room does everything, with a direct opening to the lagoon where you can admire from the terrace different species of birds (don't worry, there's no danger around it :)). The food was excellent and varied, it is worth trying every dish on the menu. The chef is excellent and deserves all the praise. The atmosphere was very pleasant, all the staff showed a very good professional training. They are extremely kind naturally, without being intrusive. The beach is very clean, unfortunately I could not enter the water due to the very big waves of this period. We set out to repeat this experience with family and friends in one of the months of the season next years. Thank you to all Uga Jungle employees for a very pleasant experience and beautiful memories!
