We stayed in a 2 queens beds suites. The room is big. But the housekeeping is certainly not to Hilton homewood standard. The dishes were still in the dishwasher, even thought they seems to be cleaned. But there were only one fork, one spoon, 2 bowl. Many utensils are missing. No extra bedding for the sofa bed in the room and no hair dryer, we had to go downstairs to get it. The toilet seat is broken and the worst was the toilet wasn’t flushed when we came in! We only stayed here for one night and the next day we have a long drive to get home. I booked the hotel hoping to get a good night sleep. But they only did the curtain half way to save money I guess. So at night it was so bright due to the street light, and in the morning it was so bright when the sun is up. It’s a nice hotel with nice facilities but needs lots of improvement.

During the time of my stay, I to kill a roach, let’s start there. The roach cane from behind the dresser that the TV stands on. Also I wasn’t able to access the WiFi until the second day I was there. I only had 1 face towel, but I’m not sure if that’s policy or not, I was able to get more. Lastly, the sheet was supposed to be white. Instead, it was almost grey. I did take it off the bed and just used the comforter. The girl who checked me in at the front desk, was as helpful as she could be and was pleasant.

Breakfast was good, there was fruit, and I also ate blueberries and mulberry, others such as bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs were very good. The hotel environment is also very good, the parking lot is large, free parking.

My husband and I booked this hotel for a date night out. The lady checking us in was friendly when we checked in. We got up to our room and immediately noticed the loud yapping dog in the room directly across the hall from us. We waited a few minutes and the dog did not stop barking. It was a loud continuous yapping that was very annoying. We did not want to chance hearing that all night and possibly being woken up by it in the middle of the night or early morning hours. So we called down to the front desk and informed the lady. She said that that dog had been there three days and was not an issue but she would look into moving us. 10 minutes and she had not called our room back. So my husband called back down there. She proceeded to to tell my husband how those guests have been there for 3 days with that dog and the dog had not been an issue and that they had not had any complaints and that their first step is usually to try to call the owner to make them aware of the situation. She stayed on the phone with my husband and said we could switch to a different room. I then walked down to the front desk with our keys in hand and was shocked to be met with a very rude tone from the lady. She very angrily told me how the dog has been there for 3 days with no complaints and that the owners just stepped out to have dinner with their grandchildren. I said I understand that but we have a valid complaint because we don't want to risk being awake all night hearing the dog. She said, and I quote, ”I'm not happy about this move.” Quite frankly we are the paying customer and I do not care if she is not happy about having to move us rooms. She gave me the keys to the new room. By this point I was very upset at how rude she was. I took the keys and walked away and she shouted as I walked away, ”You're welcome.” My husband and I travel very frequently and typically we have our two sons with us. But occasionally we get out for a date night. We typically must do at least 15 or more hotel stays a year and have been doing that for at least the last 8 years. Never, and I honestly mean never, have we been met with such an unfriendly and unwelcoming worker. There are dozens of hotels in the Westport area. I would never choose to stay at this hotel again. We are the paying customer. Our complaint about a yapping dog was completely valid and for her to tell me she was unhappy about having to move us is completely unacceptable to me.. And also when my husband and I left the room an hour later, we still heard the dog yapping, as we were just moved to a room down the hall. We also took audio recording of the dog yapping.

We stay at this hotel often when we travel to St. Louis. Kim was very friendly and assisted us with several items we needed. We enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate in the lobby as well! The room was clean and well stocked with towels and dishes. Our main complaint is that the hallways and elevator smelled strongly of *********. This was the first time we have stayed here that this happened. As two men got off the elevator, the whole elevator smelled like ********* and so did our hallway where they were staying near us. It smelled again the next morning as we departed, so they were continually smoking.

The location of this hotel is excellent for many popular St. Louis attractions and activities. The AC worked great and they actually let you control it without any automated system to shut it off when you are sleeping and there's no movement or when the room is unoccupied (which is hard to find in Hamptons anymore). As of 2/23, the facility is undergoing a complete renovation and there were some distributions, but the staff made up for any issues. The rooms are going to be nice, comfortable and have modern amenities. As of 2/23, rooms on the 4th floor where still under renovation with small details here and there incomplete. This did not distract from our comfort in the least. What DID distract from our visit was the raucous ”music” booming out of the neighboring restaurant, Sybergs. The bass reverberated through the room with the window closed and AC fan on high to the point that I could feel it laying in bed and hear it through my pillow. It was extremely annoying. Management may want to consider improving the sound blocking windows and sound insulation on the side toward Sybergs. If you stay here, ask for a room in the parking lot side of the building if you want to sleep before 1am. You'll thank me! Due to the disruptive neighboring business I was unable to give a 5 star review. This was a difficult decision, but the neighboring business had a major impact on the overall quality of our stay.

Facing a missed connection flight in St. Louis and needing a last minute, overnight hotel on 3/31, my wife searched several options and was excited when she found Hampton Inn St. Louis/Westport. With two children and two senior citizens on a trip with us, we needed a safe, convenient and fast spot for 5 hours of sleep. At 10:28pm, she booked two rooms with a confirmed price of $151.91 each. With six in our party, we took 15 minute Uber rides to the hotel. When we arrived, we found an unacceptable hotel lobby. Renovations are underway but tarps covered hallways, the lobby worker sat at a folding table and two other frustrated customers were in front of us. They had confirmation numbers but were told no rooms were available. When we got to the makeshift desk, we were told the same thing. It didn’t matter we had a confirmation number and hired a driver to take us across town. We were out of luck. The worker told us the hotel had been filled for 2-3 hours. As we stood there, a young man holding wine and flowers was denied, a couple helping their aging mother was denied, a couple who’d travelled from it of town was denied and we were each given no solutions. With no other accommodations or help being offered by the Hilton property, we joined the other seven customers in walking out at 12:18am, frustrated and disappointed that our emailed promises didn’t matter. We were out of luck and offered nothing. We ordered Ubers, waited and returned to the airport on another 15 minute ride. Instead of resting at our confirmed Hilton hotel, our kids, the 80 year old grandparents, my wife and I sat in airport chairs all night, barely sleeping. We counted on the Hampton Westport to provide a refuge during a frustrating flight delay. Instead, the Hilton property made our challenging night even worse. As a Silver Hilton Honors member, the night was extra frustrating because when I talked with General Manager Henry Lee Sullivan in the makeshift lobby that was embarrassing to the Hilton name, Sullivan offered nothing to make up for the company’s mistake other than the offer to cancel our reservation without penalty.

The start of our stay went well. Jerry was very nice at the front desk. The next morning we were going to go to the zoo and a couple of other things in the STL area. WE almost forgot our phones and went back upstairs to retrieve them. When then found that our room keys were no longer working. We went to the front desk and they gave us new keys. Those also did not work. The hotel staff then tried a master key. This also did not work. They said that they would need to call maintenance in as they had no other way to get inside the room. We had to leave as we had to be at the zoo no later than 7 a.m. for a 5k race. We were assured that the maintenance team would work on our room and it would be ready for us when we can back that evening. We spent the day without our phones which proved to be an issue when we got separated at one point and no way to capture photos throughout our time on vacation this day. We come back to the hotel that evening to find that our keys still did not work. We went downstairs to find a maintenance staff member in the lobby. We explained the situation and he instantly said that it is a deadbolt issue and came upstairs and let us in. I asked how he did this and he said that he used an emergency key to get in. He said that the front desk has one and they could have used it prior to us having to leave for our race, but they don’t like to because they have to complete various paperwork to use it. He then showed us the deadbolt and how it was not working properly, he continued to say that this is a known issue with many of the rooms in the hotel. I asked why there was not any signage on the door or warning labels near the deadbolt explaining this as I am sure this happens often. He shrugged off the question saying he did not have an answer for us. I went downstairs and asked the front desk about a comp for one night based on everything that happened. They instructed me to speak with management in the morning. In the morning I spoke with a manager named Josh. I explained the situation and said that I am requesting a comp of one night since I had an inability to access my room for a full day. He firmly said no and that the best he can do was knock $30 off our bill. That is not even half of what we were paying. I said that is not acceptable as we are paying to be able to enter and exit the room of which we were denied based on known faulty equipment. He said that was not his problem and has offered a solution; of the $30. I then asked for a business card with his name and the corporate office number to escalate the complaint/request. He said his name was Josh (no last name) and that he doesn’t do business cards. He then wrote the corporate number down and I asked for his last name and position. He said he was a manager and then walked back into his room. Corporate asked for his last name as the GM for the location is not named Josh. That Josh may only be a Front Desk Manager. After being on the phone with their customer service team

This hotel was fabulous! So very clean and plenty of room for our family of 4. We arrived after midnight following a Cardinals game on a Friday night. We slept like rocks and did not hear any hallway noise. Because we slept in late I worried we had missed breakfast but it was open until 10. Unlike some places, the attendant continuously restocked breakfast items up until 10 and went to each table to inquire if they needed anything else before she cleaned up. I would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed in a king room, and there was a lot of open space. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and it had a nice sized flat television, with a full cable channel selection. The bathroom was acceptable, but could use an update. The breakfast room was a good size, and could accommodate a lot of people without an issue. The breakfast had some hot options as well as the standard fair most hotels have. There is a minor inconvenience as there is not a lot of close parking around the building. If you get there late you may be parking in the adjacent lot and walking to the building.

The hotel lobby is more luxurious than the average comfort Inn. Very big, have your own style. The location is relatively biased, there are not many restaurants nearby, but the quality of the hotel is as good as ever. The front desk staff is very professional, the service is very considerate and considerate. In addition, the facilities are complete, and the computer is convenient for office workers, but the printer has problems.
