"There aren’t enough positive words to express how impressed my husband and I were with this hotel. We’d never been to Charlotte before and were unsure what to expect. Before we arrived, the hotel reached out several times to see if they could assist with any dinner reservations or other arrangements. Pula asked several questions about our preferences, and when we arrived we found we had been upgraded to a beautiful suite with welcome treats to enjoy during our stay. The room was gorgeous- newly updated, very, very spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the housekeeping staff unobtrusive and precise. The highlight tho was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We felt like royalty, and left the hotel anxious to return."
"We stayed for the weekend, we were treated like royalty room was great meals were excellent if in Charlotte the place to stay. We were there for the Andre Bouchelle concert. You are surrounded by great Resturant’s am things to see. Ask to stay on the garden side of the hotel it is quieter because of construction on the trolley tracts. If you want leave your car at Concord Mills and call a car service to take you in and out of downtown. (980) 272-1140 Great service ask for Jerry great guy."
"Spent the week at the Ritz and service was excellent. In addition to great bar staff, the Bar Cocoa coffee and dessert area is excellent. You must try the Almond Coffee which is an excellent treat! Look forward to going back!"

"For a hotel to be so expensive, I’m surprised at such a stay. I don’t understand all the 5* reviews. The short pro list: - Nice location walking distance to food and entertainment - Beautifully decorated rooms and comfy bed - Large tub (if you request a room with a tub) - Helpful front desk staff The cons? Hmph. - Let’s start with how we accidentally left our baby’s super soft blanket in the room at checkout and I called right back to claim it but surprise surprise, “no one could locate it”. And it took days of repeated phone calls to even reach someone who could even tell me that. Merry Christmas to some employee’s baby I guess. - Breakfast was oatmeal packets and frozen wraps and sandwiches heated in the microwave. They had the nerve to charge $7 for a spinach wrap that was 3.5” long and previously frozen. And $4 for a Quaker microwaveable grits bowl. Nothing was made fresh except the smoothies which were more like juice. There’s no kitchen or restaurant in-house apparently. Order breakfast out. Thankfully, the manager (I think his name was Austin) comped our breakfast due to another mixup. I would been furious paying for that. - The elevator is the slowest elevator in existence. I could build an elevator from scratch before theirs completed its laborious one floor journey. But because we had a baby stroller, we had to use it. They have a sign in the elevator saying it moves slowly because it’s vintage. No. - The valet is almost $40 but slow. There was no valet guy on one morning of our stay and we were told to get our own car but by the time we got downstairs, he had shown up. We had to wait behind 3 or 4 other parties though to receive our car. It took about half an hour. - None of the rooms have windows to the outside. Well, I suppose the few that line the noisy street do but almost all of the hotel is located within a larger building so the only views are to a lobby/atrium below. I would not stay at this hotel again. Maybe I could overlook one or two of these issues but not all together. And definitely not the mysterious disappearance of our baby’s blanket. "
"We are residents of Charlotte NC however needed to utilize a venue to take engagement photos. When I came across The Ivey Hotel, I was instantly in love! From the booking experience to checking in to accommodating our photoshoot, this was hands down one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The guest room was beyond clean and so gorgeous. The features throughout the hotel from checking in to even inside the room was top of the line. Overall, if we ever needed another staycation, it would be at The Ivey Hotel for sure. And anyone traveling to Charlotte NC, book your hotel reservations at The Ivey! You won't be disappointed, PROMISE!!"
"For my first trip to Charlotte NC I choose the Ivey’s Hotel in downtown. Not knowing anything about the city I went on photos and reviews. It did NOT disappoint, in fact exceeded. From the reception to our room it was amazing. The hallways smelled good, and we walked into our room hearing relaxing music. Nice happy hour and the bar downstairs super cool. My only “complaint” would be I feel 38$ is a bit steep for valet parking, especially for hotel guests. "

"So...we were there for a Panthers game...location is right down the road from the stadium...you can't beat the location for that purpose...would have only received 3 stars if not for the awesome staff members Mario Lopez, Shirley and Alex...We checked in and there were no rooms...was game day so we understood that part...after the game we were told there were no 2 bed rooms, only one bed and sofa bed...I don't have to explain how uncomfortable a sofa bed is...we had confirmed email on that day for a 2 bed room for sisters...none available...not happy at all since it was confirmed by email that day..but Mario Lopez the Manager came to the rescue...he made it right...we still had to sleep in the sofa bed room, more on that later...he was very accommodating...very professional...Shirley and Alex at the bar area, were also great...On to the room...all that said...the reality of the room for sisters was...eh...I think the 1 bedroom, sofa bed room is great for a couple...but not for two women or two guys...it was a very awkward layout for that...the bathroom is in the one bedroom...so if you're sleeping on the sofa bed you have to open the other person's bedroom door, walk into the bathroom, and the sink is next to the bed outside the toilet area...just weird...especially in middle of night ...waking up other person...but if you're a couple then its perfect!...so just hope that if you're two friends sharing room for game night...you get the two bed room, not the sofa bed pullout room, lol...that all said...hotel was fine...room was nice...full sized kitchen...refrig etc...nice view...I would say there is really no restaurant in the hotel, as it seemed like it was mostly a buffet breakfast that was included and it was decent, it was free which was appreciated...all in all...for going to a Panthers game, this is the place!!..."

"Let me summarize this and say this was only my 2nd trip during the pandemic for work, and 1st out of town, however 2 short nights at this Embassy Suites had me longing to get back to my work from home comforts. The wifi connection was spotty unless sitting in the lobby of the hotel, and rooms decor was dated (think late 90s). The cleanliness of the room was lacking too - upon checking in, a sink had a couple pieces of hair from the prior guest visible. Bedroom was stuffy at night because the AC barely worked. I could go on, but there's no reason to continue. There are plenty of options in the area, especially right now, that are affordable and have plenty of occupancy."
"Has COVID taken its toll on the place--the physical place and the operation of the place--or has the hotel just really gone downhill? Room needed some work (e.g., dripping faucet, non-working outlet), and overall, the place needs a facelift. No restaurant/bar, due to COVID, although they do give you a bag breakfast (danish, granola bar, piece of fruit, coffee, juice) and there's a tiny store in the lobby, with wine, beer, and snacks. Gym not open, even though NC Governor reopened gyms in the state before we arrived; pool not open due to COVID. Happy they're still running shuttle but doubt it gets disinfected."
"Hotel is clean and a good value for the money, for sure. Complimentary happy hour food and adult beverages. The front desk folks are great. But what made made my stay twice was how friendly Wanda the breakfast chef was every time I came down in the morning for a fresh, cooked to order breakfast."

"Great new hotel. Only open about 2 months and most of the kinks have been worked out. The staff was very nice and helpful. Great breakfast with the usual options to eat and lots of seats. Our king room was spacious and bed was comfy. Valet parking ($15/night). Close to restaurants and the train. A bit of a walk to Bank of America Stadium. They still need to work on some signage. It is confusing where to park to check in, and how to get to the lobby. As well as a need for more exit & elevator signs in the hallways. It’s a bit of a maze. "
"I love South End, great place and very walkable. This property is new and sparkling clean. I reserved a room with a balcony and city view. It had chairs and it was nice to sit outside at night. We visited during the pandemic. I felt the hotel had taken all the precautions to ensure safety for the staff and guests. They even had wipes to grab to press elevator buttons. The breakfast dining area is closed and they gave us a "grab and go" breakfast."
"Had a great stay at this new hotel. Sparkling new hotel. Every staff member was super friendly. The valet was very efficient. Breakfast was great with lots of room and their typical HI Express offerings (love the cinnamon buns!). It's in an up and coming area south of downtown. It's a bit of a walk if you are headed to a game downtown. Only problem was trying to figure out some of the lighting in the room and the showerhead."
